Please, feel free to propose new ideas or new features, which you desire to see in future releases of Booking Calendar Plugin.

  1. Hello,

    I have two suggestions:

    1. Is it possible to configure availability at an hour level? e.g. instead of saying you're unavailable on Thursdays, could you say that every Thursday after 6pm you're unavailable?

    2. Somewhat related, can the plugin handle repeat/recurring bookings so somebody could book an hour slot at 6pm and have it recur every week?

      1) It’s possible to have the different times selection for the different days in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      Or Otherwise you Need to make a blank bookings for the time slots at specific dates to make them as unavailable. You can do this from the Booking > Add booking page.

      2) You need to select each specific date in calendar, where you want to make the booking for the 6pm. You need to a ti activate the multiple dates selection mode and this option “use time slots for selected dates” at the Booking > Settings General page in “Calendar” section. Available in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions.

  2. Hi!

    I have to suggestions:

    1. Create crossover days with triangler in the timeline, similar to the booking Calendar. As it is now it confuses our customers because it looks different to the Calendar, and they think it is not an option to check in and out on days that it actually is. Should be a easy and quick fix, ad long as you have the change over days function allready working in the Calendar.

    2. make it possible to book multiple assets at the same time. For example a familie need two rooms. Not very nice to have to make two different bookings. And in worst case the last room is booked by another person before you manage to book both, ending up with just one room..

  3. Me gustaría que el autocompletado del formulario el campo del teñéfono se rellenara, nada más que se rellena el nombre y apellidos, que solución podría ser

    • Hello.
      Booking Calendar can auto fill the booking form fields from the User Profile.
      Please be sure that the field Phone exist in the User Profile in WordPress account and was filled for specific Users.

      Booking Calendar has the functionality for filling the phone numbers. But please be sure that the name of such field at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page was such as "phone" or "fone".

      For example:

      The code that is relative to this auto fill functionality is following:

      P.S. Other possible issues here can be that the name of phone number field at the User Profile in WordPress Admin panel different than "phone_number" (but usually it has not to be the case.)

    should be so nice to be abble easily to use personnal colors for customer calendar because it is essential to be able to adapt the calendar displayed to the graphic charter of the site.
    it should be possible from the small business option.
    for the moment the selectable colors ("calendar type") are really not great, it unfortunately gives a slightly amateur exterior appearance, which is regrettable because your plugin is really very cool.
    If only I could have convinced you to expand on this point!

    We're using the booking calender for a few years now, and very happy customers! Continue the good work 🙂

    I have a specific request: would it be possible to add an option of "18 months" as the maximum number of months that should be visible (scroll through calendar)? Our guests often want to book again in one year, and this is often just beyond 12 months; we don't want to open our bookings for 2 years either. Maybe there's a way to insert "18" somewhere in the configuration files, but I haven't found it yet...

    Is it possible to add additional Payment Gateways, specifically Square, or maybe offer a process that would enable the integration of the API for payment option adds.

      This feature in our TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

      The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.Net, Opayo - Elavon (former SagePay), iDEAL Buckaroo and iPay88 payment gateways integration (also plugin support showing text info for payment by cash and bank transfer - its only show text info but does not connect to any bank system), other payment systems are not supporting yet. You can configure and activate it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

      Please note, if you modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guarantee the correct work of the plugin and do not support it.

    i have some ideas that can improve this plugin.

    1# Payments
    Now when a payment has been made the amount must be adjusted manually. For example, a deposit has been made, the amount will remain at the price of the deposit if this is not adjusted

    a solution to this would be to add an option in the menu for payment status deposit made whereby the remaining amount is automatically entered in the price box.

    2# Personal page
    When a guest has made a booking, a personal account is created for him. a secure environment where he can view, edit and pay for his booking on one page
    But also to communicate with the guest with a comment system or chat

    This environment could also be used to display the guest's booking history or information about the weather or activities in the area or to leave reviews.

  8. I would like to share some suggestions with you aimed at improving the guest friendliness of the system as well as the user(admin) working possibilities:

    Please implement dynamic range days selection in availabilty search (as can also be chosen in settings for booking form.

    Please synchronise date selection in availabilty search and date selection at resources booking (after book now). This to prevent that guests have to complete booking dates twice.

    Please arrange that one starts at the top of a booking page, when arriving from the booknow button of a search page (and not somewhere halfway of the page).

    Please arrange that one starts at the top of a subsequent page in case of booking page made with the wizard booking form (and not somewhere halfway of the page).

    Please arrange to count children and adults together for capacity of a resource. Also asked by others.

    Please optically synchronise the validation message of the calendar and the validation message for required selection of other items (now they are looking different in the same booking form)

    Please consider to reduce/compact the top items above the booking calender overview. On my laptop the top items almost take up half of the screen.

    Consider to have a shifting bar at the bottom of the calendar overview so one does not have to go up entirely in case one has more resources than fit on the screen.

    Consider to replace illisble pictures in the FAQ or make it possible to enlarge them. Some of the pictures can already be enlarged (like eg on the subject of adding functionality to the search form).

    FAQ: Kindly use method to close item automatically when opening another item to make it more simple to overview. Otherwise ons has to scroll up every time to close manually.

    Consider to implement a forum for the (future) questions/remarks about your Booking Calendar plugin rather then archives. This could be a benificial instrument next to the FAQ.

    • Please repair the dynamic range method. Normally it needs 2 clicks to select a booking period. However it appears possible to click only once and book 1 night, albeit that the departure and arrival time will be inversed.

      • Hotels and campsites normally work with a room number or place number. If a room or place number is assigned to the parent resource in the resources section name fields, that number comes up in the resource shortcodes.
        It would therefore be nice if the parent resource could have its own number that does not end up in the name.
