    I am starting right now to configure the plugin and I wuold like to know is hot to create different and custom "form booking" and assign to different resources/rooms, in shortcode page "form_type - name of the custom booking form. You can create the custom booking forms at the Booking > Settings > Fields page " there are only preconfigured "form booking" is the way to create new one and assign to a resource/room

      Yes, its possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      In these versions you can create new custom booking forms at the Booking > Settings > Form page and then insert specific booking form for specific booking resource into the post or page.

      Additionally you will be need to assign as "default" specific custom booking form for specific booking resource at the Booking > Resources page.

  2. Hi! We have Business Medium license.

    I have a holiday rental with the following packages on offer:

    Weekend Fri-Sun 2 nights – 500.00
    Midweek 2 nights (arrive Tuesday or Wednesday) – 250.00
    Midweek 3 nights (arrive Tuesday) – 330.00
    Midweek 4 nights (arrive Monday) – 400.00
    Full Week 7 nights (arrive Friday) – 550.00

    I have set up seasons and rates as follows (all in the order as shown):

    RATES

    ID1 300 €300.00 Chillout Weekend Every Fr on each day of every month 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026

    VALUATION DAYS

    Together 7 days = 550 €for all days Weeklong Stay
    Together 2 days = 300 €for all days Chillout Weekend
    Together 4 days = 400 €for all days Mid-Week Escape - 4 nights
    Together 3 days = 330 €for all days Mid-Week Escape - 3 nights
    Together 2 days = 250 €for all days Mid-Week Escape - 2 nights

    As you can see, if a customer wants to check in on a Tuesday, they can have Mid-Week Escape 3 nights or 2 nights.

    However, when I make a test reservation for 3 days (by clicking on 11-14th April 2017 for example, so starting on a Tuesday for 3 nights), which should be a Mid-Week Escape - 3 nights package, it only picks up the €250 rate for the 2 nights on the payments screen.

    Can you help me to figure out what is wrong with my configuration please, so that I can make sure it picks the correct rate? Thanks!

  3. Apologies, for my previous post, the Weekend rate for 2 nights (Chillout Weekend) in my first list should have been 300.00, not 500.00! Rates in the configuration tables are correct. Apologies for any confusion.

      1) You need to open the Booking > Resources > Filters page and create "Conditional season filters" like this":

      "Fri" - Every Fr on each day of every month 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 	
      "Tue" - Every Tu on each day of every month 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 	
      "Wed" - Every We on each day of every month 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 	
      "Mon" - Every Mo on each day of every month 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
      

      2) Then open the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page click on "Rates" button and remove any exist rates.
      You do not need to configure Rates, because we will configure "Valuation days". Save changes.

      3) Now at same page click on "Valuation days" button and configure cost like this:
      VALUATION DAYS

      Together 3 days = 500 € for all days "check in day on" "Fri"
      Together 7 days = 550 € for all days "check in day on" "Fri"
      Together 3 days = 250 € for all days "check in day on" "Tue"
      Together 3 days = 250 € for all days "check in day on" "Wed"
      Together 4 days = 330 € for all days "check in day on" "Tue"
      Together 5 days = 400 € for all days "check in day on" "Mon"
      

      4) Now open the Booking > Settings General page and in calendar section activate "range days selection mode using 2 mouse clicks and configure following parameters:

      Minimum number of days selection = 3 days
      Maximum number of days selection = 7 days
      Specific number of days selection = 3,4,5,7
      Start day of range = "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday"
      

      5) And additionally at the font-end side you need to configure Booking Calendar shortcode with option parameter, where you can define EXACT number of days selection depend from "check in" day. For example if visitor start selection from Monday, so then he/she can select only 4 nights (5 days).       And here is possible example of configuration:

      [booking type=1 nummonths=2 form_type='standard' options='{select-day condition="weekday" for="1" value="5"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="2" value="3,4"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="3" value="3"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="5" value="3,7"}']
      

      Of course you need to set correct ID of booking resource here. Instead of "type=1" have to be your booking resource ID.

        • Thanks so much for your reply. Will implement that now and test. But a quick question - I can see that you are always adding 1 day to the number of nights being booked. Should the Full Week then not be 8 days as opposed to 7 if someone is booking from Friday - Friday?

            Is it right that I can skip the bit with the Range Days Selection because we want to leave it open for customers to select days other than the ones in the packages in the form of a booking enquiry. Ie. if someone selects days as per the packages, they can get the payment instruction immediately and book all in one go, whereas people who select other date ranges will just turn into a booking enquiry that my client can decide to approve or disapprove and send payment request email accordingly.

            So for now, I have left out those steps from your instructions. However, when I test the rest, it now comes through as a booking enquiry only even for the packages. I have just tried all the different package options but it is always just an enquiry waiting for approval. It never goes to the payments part. Can you help?

            • Hello.
              In this case, you need to define some standard cost per days at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page for specific booking resource.
              So cost of booking have to be higher than 0 and this cost will be calculated just based on the number of selected days.

              The payment form will show after the booking, if at least one payment system is activated at the Booking > Settings > Payment page and cost of booking higher than 0.

                I was sidetracked with another project but have finally implemented your instructions. However, it's not fully working for me.

                Firstly, only a booking enquiry is being generated. The payment part is not coming up after somebody has selected their dates, only the enquiry form. I have Paypal Standard enabled and Fixed Sum selected as well as the correct Paypal account email address entered.

                Secondly, even though I have entered all the relevant shortcode to restrict how many days can be selected depending on the weekday I want as arrival day, I can still select other options. My code is:

                [booking type=1 nummonths=4 form_type='standard-3pax' options='{select-day condition="weekday" for="1" value="5"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="2" value="3,4"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="3" value="3"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="5" value="3,8"}']

                But if I start with Monday, I am still able to make a 7 nights reservation.

                Any help would be appreciated as this is the last thing that is stopping the new website from going live.

                • Hello.

                  1) If you have set "fixed" cost at the Booking > Settings > Payment page, then "Rates" or ""Valuation days" cost settings will not work at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page. Such costs is working only, in case, if you set cost per 1 day or per 1 night. (But better to set cost per 1 day).
                  2) Relative issue with days selection.
                  I was retested this shortcode and its seems working fine, if you start selection from (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday ).

                  But if you will start selection from other days (0 - Sunday, 4 - Thursday, 6 - Saturday), then such selections will be relative conditions from Booking > Settings General page in calendar section under "Range days selection mode".

                  Please recheck carefully that you have started selection from specific week day (and does not mislead Sunday with Monday, for example).

                  Otherwise, please try to update your version to the latest update.

                  • I have changed the fixed cost to 1 day but it is still not working. Also, I don't understand why I would select 1 day when all of my client's rates are fixed rates for specific time periods? There are no daily rates. Please help!

  4. I boughthe "Booking Calendar Business Small version" to test the possibility and I'm satisfied as far.
    But I wand just to change the colors for "free", "reserved* and "booked" as is is show in the
    Product description http://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/ --> "Booking Calendar Business Small version" --> "Change over days" --> image on right side.

    I did not find something in the help/faq or did I overseen it?

  5. Two questions:
    1)
    How can I use the short-code
    [check_in_date] and [check_out_date]
    WIHTOUT the check in/out times ? Or is there an other short code?
    Reason: In our house, the check in/out times musst arranged individualy and I do not want to confirm the booking with a default time.

    2) I want to optimize the space for the booking form and place some fields on the same line. But even I remove the the form is generated with line-breaks on the webpage.

      1) Its possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions, to use these shortcodes in the booking form:

      [check_in_date_hint] - Selected Check In date. Example:11/25/2013
      [check_out_date_hint] - Selected Check Out date. Example:11/27/2013[start_time_hint] - Selected Start Time. Example:10:00
      [end_time_hint] - Selected End Time. Example:12:00[selected_dates_hint] - All selected dates. Example:11/25/2013, 11/26/2013, 11/27/2013
      [selected_timedates_hint] - All selected dates with times. Example:11/25/2013 10:00, 11/26/2013, 11/27/2013 12:00
      [selected_short_dates_hint] - All selected dates in "short" format. Example:11/25/2013 - 11/27/2013
      [selected_short_timedates_hint] - All selected dates with times in "short" format.. Example:11/25/2013 10:00 - 11/27/2013 12:00[days_number_hint] - Number of selected days. Example:3
      [nights_number_hint] - Number of selected nights. Example:2
      

      In your case, you need to use these:

      [check_in_date_hint] - Selected Check In date. Example:11/25/2013
      [check_out_date_hint] - Selected Check Out date. Example:11/27/2013
      

      And only after this to use these shortcode at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.

      2) You need to configure it correctly at the Booking > Settings > Form page.

        2) It seems it depends from the WP-theme. KI changed the theme and now it is as expected.

  6. I have 8 seats available per day. When all 8 are booked how can I make the calendar stop taking reservations and show as fully booked.

      If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots).       At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource.But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation).

      You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

  8. We want to have a "blank" WP page, only with the booking calendar on it ( No header, no footer, no menu, no sidebar)

    I created such a page.php-template but without "getHeader()"-function, the calendar is not displayed correctly.
    What does a page-template need, to display the booking calendar?

      before this:

      Its standard rule for the themes.

      That code allow to load the JS and CSS files for the plugins.

  9. Hi! Thanks for developing and supporting this very full featured plugin. We're working with Valuation Days and we're missing something with our configuration. We'd be grateful for your help.

    Our goal is to allow users to:
    - Book a cottage from Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning
    - Price the entire Saturday - Saturday reservation at a fixed price based on the season in which the booking occurs

    We are almost there. However, on the frontend the cost_hint remains at £0.00 when a booking period is chosen.

    Our configuration:
    In Settings > Calendar > Type of days selection in calendar > Range days
    In Settings > Calendar > Select a FIXED number of days with 1 mouse click
    In Settings > Calendar > Days selection number > 8
    In Settings > Calendar > Start day of range > specific days of week > Saturday
    In Settings > Calendar > Use check in/out time is ticked
    In Settings > Calendar > Check-in time > 16:00
    In Settings > Calendar > Check-out time > 10:00

    Cottage configured as a Resource.
    In Resources > Cottage > Season Filters we have time periods defined as per the tariff periods described here: http://www.flowerburn.com/.
    In Resources > Cottage > Season Filters we have a Conditional days filter called 'Check In' 'Every Sa on each day of every month 2017'
    In Resources > Cottage > Rates > We have no settings
    In Resources > Cottage > Valuation Days > We have, e.g. 'Together 8 days = 400 £ for all days!' with season 25 Mar - 22 Apr
    In Resources > Cottage > Valuation Days > for 'LAST day = 0 £ for 1 day' with season Any days

    We see the following warning on Resources > Cottage > Valuation Days: 'Warning! Specific cost will take affect, only if it active (the box at the left side is checked) and if "Check In" (start) date belong to selected season filter or if set "Any days".'

    We suspect this is why the cost_hint remains at £0.00 when a time block is selected. We cannot see how to make this configuration / how our Check In Conditional day filter is incorrect.

    We are happy to send screenshots if that would help.

      This issue because of you are having "LAST" cost settings at the "Valuation days" cost settings:

      In Resources > Cottage > Valuation Days > We have, e.g. 'Together 8 days = 400 £ for all days!' with season 25 Mar - 22 Apr
      In Resources > Cottage > Valuation Days > for 'LAST day = 0 £ for 1 day' with season Any days
      

      1) Firstly please update your version to the pre release update 7.0.1, which was sent to your email. (Please check spam folder, if you do not see it in inbox. )
      2) Then if its does not help, please make rearrange order of costs in "Valuation days" settings.
      At the top have to be LAST condition:

      for 'LAST day = 0 £ for 1 day' with season Any days
      'Together 8 days = 400 £ for all days!' with season 25 Mar - 22 Apr
      

      You can drag and drop to reorder them, then save changes.

        Thank you very much for your prompt reply.

        We received version 7.01.58 and have updated our local install.

        We also reordered the Valuation Days settings to put - for 'LAST day = 0 £ per 1 day' with Season Any days - at the top of the list. Changes saved.

        On the frontend when the dates are selected cost still refreshes to £0.00 .

        Perhaps there is an issue with our form configuration?
