If you have any technical question about the plugin or configuration of plugin or if you found some issue, please describe it here. Please, inform inside of message your version of WordPress, PHP, Booking Calendar. Also sometimes is needed list of used plugins inside of system and name of your WordPress theme.

  1. New books appear as a notification in the side bar but when I go to books nothing appears. I haven't deleted the resource so I'm not sure why they don't appear...

    • Hello.
      1) Please open the Booking Listing page, then switch to the Actions toolbar and click on "Read All" button.
      2) Then make test booking, and check if you see new booking and increase of number in notifications sidebar, then approve the booking, its have reduce notification number.

      • Yes-

        When I click the "Read All" the notification number drops to zero. When I submit a new test booking the notification number increases to 1. But when I click on the Booking Listing page there are no results found.

        • Weird... Please open the Booking Listing page, then switch to the Filter toolbar and click on "Down arrow" at the left bottom corner under toolbar. Then recheck all parameters, like showing "All dates" instead of "Current dates" show all resources", etc... and after this click on "Apply" button to refresh search results.
          May be some parameter is limit showing bookings.

          Also please recheck that at the front-end side, you are having booking form for the booking resource (parameter "type" in shortcode) that is exist at the Booking > Resources page.

          • Changing the filters didn't work, still no results found.

            Here's an example of my shortcode for every book resource on the front end: [booking type=33 form_type='multi-test']

            If I go to the calendar view and hit the blue refresh button the reservation appear there. Just not in the list view.

              1) Its also possible an issue when you was deleted some booking resources, but bookings for these resources still available.
              In this case, on this page, where you configired Filter toolbat to show all bookings and not finding your bookings, please add to the end of URL in your browser this parameter
              &wh_booking_type
              Example:
              http://your-server.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=?page=wpbc&view_mode=vm_listing&wh_booking_type

              Its will show all bookings, even from the booking resources that does not exist.
              And then you will be able to make any actions with these bookings.

              2) Otherwise, please send screenshot of your Filter toolbar configuration to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com

              • This worked... the listings show up when I add the "&wh_booking_type" to the end of the URL. The odd part is that the resources were never deleted. They were renamed though. How to I get a clean setup so this isn't an issue?

                  1) Please open the Booking Listing page, then switch to the Filter toolbar and click on "Down arrow" at the left bottom corner under toolbar.
                  If you see "Delete template" button at the right bottom corner in Filter toolbar, so then click on it.
                  Its means that you was saved some filter preset, and use it.

                  2) Otherwise, please recheck what booking resources in those bookings that was not showed before. Do these resource exist, or there "not found resource".

    How can i set minimum days for bookings? Now customers can book my resource for 1 day, but i would like to set minimum to 5 days.

    I want to show a subtotal line like this, add a "Frais de Ménage taxes incluses" line, and show the Total amount of the reservation :
    INCLUANT le RABAIS de SAISON* : CAD 297,50 $
    + taxes d'hébergement 3,5 % : CAD 10,41 $
    + TPS et TVQ 14,975 % : CAD 46,11 $
    SOUS TOTAL = CAD 354,02 $ <---- SUBTOTAL LINE
    + Frais de Ménage taxes incluses= 55 $
    Total= 409,02$ <---- TOTAL AMOUNT

    Is it possible ?

    Is it possible to connect Booking to a channel and property management software, so if someone decides to rent my room from say airbnb, Booking also gets automatically synced and disables those dates?

    • Hello.
      Unfortunately, Booking Calendar does not support sync bookings with other chanels, yet. Sorry.
      Also plugin does not support synchronize with booking.com, Airbnb, Homeaway, Tripadvisor or VRBO.
      These features exist in out TODO list for future updates. But I can not say about the exact day of implementation of these features. Hope its will be available ASAP. The sync functionality have high priority in our TODO list.

    My name is Charlie, we have a website http://www.ineditbarcelona.com and we downloaded the free version of WP Booking Calendar but we wanted to update it to the paid version (Large Bussiness) and we're exploring the live demo options but we got stucked in one step. We wanted to set a Registration Fee of 240€ for each room but we didn't want it to be a check box, we wanted to be an additional cost that adds up to the monthly price. We've trying to edit the form code with the tags:

    The additional cost for payment: [additional_cost_hint]

    But we needed to how to set this additional cost hint to the data base in order to increase the price when the costumer set the dates, is there any way to do it? Are we using the wrong code?

      1) You are still need to use checkbox in your booking form for setting this additional cost.
      Its can be checked by default checkbox:

      [checkbox some_fee default:on ""]

      or you can set this checkbox invisible for the visitors:

      <div style="display:none;">[checkbox some_fee default:on ""]</div>

      2) Also you can show cost hint for this additional checkbox by using shortcode like this:

      [some_fee_hint]

      Tip & Trick. You can show cost hints separately for the each items, that have additional cost at Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page. For example, if you have configured additional cost for my_tax option at Advanced cost page, then in booking form you can use this shortcode [my_tax_hint] to show additional cost of this specific option. Add "_hint" term to name of shortcode for creation hint shortcode.

      3) And at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page for this option, instead of fixed cost you can set cost per 1 day.

  7. Hello I have just bought the small business Booking Calendar plug an immediately cannot set days as 'unavailable' or.. sonfigure the calendar to start and stop on specific days… the nature of the business requires that certain times of the year are not available to book .. can you help Julian

    • Hello.
      1) In the Booking Calendar Business Small version possible to set specific days as unavailable only by making "blank bookings". You can make fast "blank bookings" at the Booking > Add booking page by clicking on Auto fill button at the top right side in toolbar.

      2) If you need to set availability based on seasons or weekdays, so then this feature is available in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      Also if you need to set different number of days selections depend from check in day belonging for the different weekdays or season, so then its also possible only in Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.       • Well thats very disappointing! and I don't think paying another $120 just for this functionality is something I really want to do.. I have been using Booking system Pro which has setting days as unavailable and therefore the ability to plot your season and this was a cheap basic booking plugin.. I would like to cancel this order please

          I realise that these are all details that I should have spotted before I bought your product but it does seem that I have made a mistaken purchase and a refund is entirely up to your discretion

            Configuration. You can create or season filters at the Booking > Resources > Filters page and then at the Booking > Resources > Availability page set days from specific season as unavailable for the specific booking resources.

      Yes, you need to create several "Togather" optins at the Valuation days section for differnt number of days.

            According restoring Booking Calendar Data. Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool. Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.

            • I haven't moved the database, I have only updated the IP to the new address by pointing A records. So there should just be a table with the old address that needs replacing with the new.

                  But only 'Standard' shows up as a form I can select.

  8. Hi, I have the free version and trying to get more info of the bookings in front-end view. The same view as in admin-panel, timeline view. Is this possible?
    Using shortcode: [bookingtimeline type='1' view_days_num=365 header_title='SOME TITLE' scroll_month=3 scroll_start_date='2017-01-01'].
    It would also be great with a mouse-over kind of thing, showing a modal-window with info from the booking eg. Name, custom field value, and so on.

    Please guide me on how to get that if possible.

      In the Booking Calendar Free version in Timeline possible to show only bookings pipelines, without booking data.

      But in any paid versions of Booking Calendar possible to show in booking pipelines who made booking, and when clicked on such pipeline to show all booking data, like in Calendar Overview in admin panel.

      Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

      Please check this troubleshooting instruction http://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

      The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
