Yes, the plugin will continue to function as before, but you won't receive free updates for Booking Calendar.

While the plugin should work with your current WordPress version, there is a potential risk of conflicts with future WordPress updates. We can't predict the changes in future WordPress updates, and older plugin versions may experience issues.

To ensure the best performance, prevent potential compatibility or security issues, and keep your bookings safe, we strongly recommend keeping your Booking Calendar up-to-date and maintaining an active subscription for the latest updates and support.

Upon the initial purchase of the plugin, you can request free updates for your Booking Calendar version (if updates available) within 6 months after initial purchase of plugin. Additionally, alongside this purchase for receiving the latest update, you can activate an optional subscription at a discounted rate.

Optional Subscription for Updates:

1) When purchasing the plugin initially, you have the option to select or deselect an optional subscription for updates and support, billed every 6 months. For the first 6 months after the initial purchase, updates are provided for free. You can cancel this subscription at any time.

Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $5 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $10 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.     I am looking for help. Will you be so kind to help me? I do not know if it is possible to solve my problems (feature maybe not included).

    PROBLEM #1:

    I have an accommodation property, where I have 7 seasons (SUMMER, WINTER, MIDSEASON FOR WEEK, MIDSEASON FOR FEW DAYS, NEW YEAR, CHRISTMAS, EASTER). THese seasons have different prices.

    I want that Guest can reserve accommodation for few days or 1,2 weeks (SAT-SAT) based on season:
    SUMMER SEASON: Guest reserve accommodation from Saturday to Saturday (7, 14 night, Start day is Saturday, end day is Saturday)
    WINTER SEASON: Guest reserve accommodation from Saturday to Saturday (7, 14 night, Start day is Saturday, end day is Saturday)

    MIDSEASON FOR WEEK: Guest reserve accommodation from Saturday to Saturday (7, 14 night, Start day is Saturday, end day is Saturday)
    MIDSEASON FOR FEW DAYS: Guest reserve accommodation from Saturday to Saturday (short stay they can start on any day, but its from 2-4 nights long stay, there is no fixed start day)

    THESE TWO MIDSEASONS have the same range of the dates of the year. But based on the lenght of the stay the price rate is calculated. Longer stay is cheaper on the person on the night. How can I configure price rate, where the shorter stay will be more expensive on night than longer? FOR EXAMPLE: short stay(2-4 nights) 30 euros per night per person, long stay (1 week) 20 euros per night per person? Can you please give me an advice?

    CHRISTMAS: Guest reserve accommodation 22th December-26th December (4 nights). This occurs every year, so the start-day is 22th December every year and it is for 4 nights. Can you please provide me shortcode to booking form?

    NEW YEAR: Guest reserve accommodation 27th December-2nd January (6 nights). This occurs every year, so the start-day is 27th December every year and it is for 6 nights. Can you please provide me shortcode to booking form?

    EASTER: Guest reserve accommodation Maundy Thursday-Easter Monday (4 nights). This occurs every year, so the start-day is 2Maundy Thursday every year and it is for 4 nights. This is the tricky one, Start day should be possible only on Maundy Thursday. Can you please provide me shortcode to booking form?

    PROBLEM #2:

    The second problem I have is overlapping with seasons. When guest applies for reservation which goes from season A to season B. Is it possible to secure that reservation from end of Season A will not go further to Season B.

    Example:
    Season A ends on 31.March, Season B starts on the 1.April or also 31. March. Is it possible to ensure that if the customer makes reservation on 28. March can not go further than 31. march. Because of the season change over?

    PROBLEM #3:
    Base PRICE RATE OF RENT is based on season and it is for 10 person. Larger amount of guest 11-15 are paid extra. I used Form option cost. It is okay for all of the seasons except CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR, where the base price rate is for 12 person, So the 13-15 people are paid extra. Can you give me advice please? How can I related this extra guest to season.

    • Hello.
      1) You can configure the different seasons (such seasons must not intersect with each other seasons) at the WP Booking Calendar > Availability > Seasons page.
      Then you can define the number of days for selections in the Booking Calendar shortcode in the option parameter. Find more information at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#advanced-days-selection

      2) Unfortunately, it is not possible in the Booking Calendar versions. Sorry.

      3) Unfortunately, the extra costs, that is defined at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page does not depend from the seasons. It is not possible to define there different costs, that depends from the seasons.
      If you defined these extra costs as percentage from total booking cost, then it will works automatically in any seasons, but if you defined such costs as fixed sim, then it will not work differently for the different seasons.

      The only trick that you can do in this situations, it's to create another form fields in the booking form that depends from the check in day that belongs to specific season. Find more information at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/different-content-for-different-days-selection/
      The names of such fields must be different.
      Then you can configure the different costs for such different fields at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page .

  2. Hello, upon using this plugin it is fantastic but I am confused as to how to set up availability etc for hourly or 30-min appointments. We are not looking to use this for per-day bookings and some of the availability settings, for example, require me to configure the whole day as available or unavailable. We need to be able to block out or open up specific timeframe(s) within a given day, and also we need the appointments to be configured with smaller units than 'day', which the settings don't seem to be allowing me to do. Can you confirm whether or not this plugin will allow custom availability for specific hours during a given day, or whether it is actually not even suitable for service appointments that don't last a whole day?

      The ability to book for the specific times possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1).
      In lower versions of Booking Calendar (including free version), possible to make bookings for specific times only for specific restricted time-slots.
      Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

      You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.
      You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes.     In my calendar a customer booked all items (14 canoes), and the color turned red in the calendar. But when I put my mouse over the date (2. july 2024), it still says "14 available" - and it is also possible to click and make more reservations... How come? And what can I do?

    • Hello.
      1) You was made the booking only for the first time slot 08:00 to 08:30 but all other time slot at that date is available.
      2) Please open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Time Slots" section and deactivate this option: "Do not change background color for partially booked days" to show partially booked days with same background as in legend item. Note: Partially booked item - day, which is booked for the specific time-slot(s).

    I've been working with this plugin for years and it's working perfectly. But since I installed the newest update (business large 10.0) there is a problem. All the emails are sent correctly (like new booking email and payment request), except for the confirmation email. This is the only email that is not sent anymore (when a booking is confirmed). I did check all the settings in the email-tabs and I do use the SMPT-plugin. Any tips?

  6. Hi, I'm busy working in this plugin for a webdev and just cannot fathom how to do something I think is relatively easy. 1. There is only 1 Property, 2. There are only 2 Prices (Weekday and Weekend) and 3. During School Holidays I need a rule which ensures the booker books 7 Days and not 1 or 2.
    Now using the Resources I've been able to set a Calendar to do Number 3, but I can only apply 1 Price to this. How can I combine Points 1 - 3 so I have variable Prices. Again using Seasons (to drive the rule for 3 then does not allow me to use Seasons to dictate a Weekday and a Weekend separately too. Assume I'm just missing something simple. Thanks.

      1) If you need to set the different cost for the different days (seasons), then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      2) You just need to create 3 season filters at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Seasons page:
      - Weekdays
      - Weekends
      - Holidays

      Use "Weekdays" and "Weekends" seasons for definition of the seasonal prices at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Daily Costs page -> section Seasonal Pricing.

          Or configure it at the Booking > Resources page. In update 10.0, there is visual wizard for shortcode configuration.

    I neeed to allow booking for noon and for evening, and allow only 20 places for each, but I can't find a way to do so.

      Yes it's possible to configure in your Booking Calendar Business Large version.
      1) You need to add the 2 time slots to the booking form at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page for Noon and Evening. For example:

      		<c>  <l>Select Times (required):</l> 
      			[select* rangetime multiple "Noon@@12:00 - 14:00" "Evening@@18:00 - 20:00"] 
      		<spacer>height:1em;</spacer> 
      		<l>Availability:</l><spacer></spacer>

      Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.

      2) Then you need to create 1 parent and 19 child booking resources, to have the capacity for the parent booking resource as 20.

      In this version it is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in the calendar will be available until the number of reservations is less than capacity of the booking resource.
