  1. Hi,
I need some help om my e-mail shortcodes.
    If I use codes [check_in_date] and [check_out_date]

The email shows the dates AND the check-in time.
Is there a code to show ONLY check-in and check-out dates, without time?

    Thanks again,
    Ine

    • Hello.
You will be need to use in the booking form (and in the "Content of booking fields data" form) at the Booking > Settings > Form page these shortcodes:
      [check_in_date_hint] - [check_out_date_hint]
and after this you can use these same shortcodes in the Booking > Settings > Emails page, as well.
(its available in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions).
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
      Kind Regards.

      • Thanks, but it seems I'm doing something wrong, the dates do not show in the email.

This is in the content of booking field:
        data:[check_in_date_hint] - [check_out_date_hint]

        This is in the e-mail/
Fijn dat je van [check_in_date_hint] - [check_out_date_hint] een verblijf bij ... plant.

        Gr,
        Ine

        • These shortcodes available only in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions. What version of Booking Calendar do you use ?

You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.
          Kind Regards.

  2. Hello lovely booking calendar users!

I was curious if anyone had found a way to auto-populate usernames and information in the booking form? I'd like to allow certain people access to register users for events vs having users register themselves.

    Thank you for your insight!
    Nicole

    • Hello.
Currently the auto filling booking form fields possible only for logged in users, if you will activate the “Auto-fill fields” option at the Booking > Settings General page in Form section.
After this some form fields, like “First Name”, “Second Name” and email will be auto filled in booking form from user profile. So this feature is working only for registered WordPress users.
      Kind Regards.

  3. Hello,

I would like to start the second column (right) with the 'name -field'.

  4. Hi,

I am adding a number of visitors limit for a resource (12). I believe I have this setup correctly and the tooltip shows this correctly (on rollover shows 12).

However when a user selects a date the cost updates - but then when they select the number of visitors I need it to update as related to this.

i.e. if 2 visitors cost should be x2. If 3 visitors cost should be x3.

At the moment it doesn't update when the visitor dropdown is changed. Note the cost does show a spinner but then just shows the same amount.

How do I make the number of visitors update the cost?

    Thanks
    Don

  5. Hi,

I have two different types of bookings to implement as below
    1. Accomodation working on a per night basis (checkin checkout times)
    2. Lessons working a daily basis

Can I accomodate both of these with the large business plan? Under the payments tab it seems like the "set the cost" option affect everything and the same for "Use check in/out time".

    Thanks
    Don

  6. Perfect - thanks!

I set that up and once I hit the submit button it does the right calculation on the confirmation page/refresh.

However it isn't updating the number next to the cost under the calendar.

i.e. I select a day. Cost is $100. I change visitor to 2. Cost stays at $100. I click submit and the summary show the correct cost at $200.

Are we able to get the cost under the calendar updating as well?

    thanks

    • Hello.
Please be sure that you are using this [cost_hint] shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Also please recheck that you have configured the additional cost for options of your specific booking form, that you are testing at that page, and do not for some other custom booking form (by mistake), if you are using several custom booking forms. Also the custom booking forms for using in the posts or pages, you are defined in the Booking Calendar shortcode, during inserting it into the post or page. Please read how manually to configure Booking Calendar shortcodes here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
      Kind Regards.

      • That was it - I had [original_cost_hint] - swapping to [cost_hint] fixed it - thanks!!!

  7. Thanks. I think I understand the above.

I guess my question is - can I have one booking form working "per night" and another one working "per day"? In terms of cost/payment.

    • Hello.
Sorry, its does not possible, by default.
Trick. You can only add to some other custom booking form, some "hidden" checked by default checkbox, and configure for this checkbox additional cost (which can be cost for one day), at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/advanced-costs-video-overview/
      Kind Regards.

      • Thanks - I'll look into the advanced cost option.

        The problem is more that:
        - if I have the accomodation setup to be per night (which seems to be the best way to do this - so a user select two days but pays for the one nigh (i.e. same as Airbnb)
        - then the booking form for the daily option (lessons) requires the user to click on two days which doesn't make any sense for them.

Can you see any way around the above problem?

Thanks so much for your help!

          • That's almost it - I set the selection mode to "single" - it all works perfectly except the day option (lessons) throws an error "Error! Please reset your check-in/check-out dates above."

Am I able to avoid that error with JS?

            • Hello.
If you have activated the check in/out times at the Booking > Settings General page (change over days), then you need to select minimum 2 days, Otherwise you Need to deactivate that option at the Booking > Settings General page.

              Kind Regards.

              • Ah ok - I'll keep playing with the settings - hopefully there is a combination that works to allow both.

Just wanted to say thanks for the awesome support - The speed of replies and great answers are so much help. - Really appreciate it!!

  8. hello,
I have a problem with the synchronisation of the calendars.
It has worked well for several months. I manage 6 resouces and I used the sync to import the calendars only.
From last week the sync doesn't work well. The calendars of some resources work well but others resources doesn't. And infact, from the website of other booking providers, like Homeaway, I get the message saying the sync is not possible anymore.
The only changement I did was to introduce a new resource synchronizing the calendar in order to import and export the bookings, but only for this last resource. The other resources were being synchronised for the import only.
So I cancelled the last resource thinking it was the cause of the problem but the sync is not working yet.
More, with cancelling the last resource, I got some bookings from other resources changed in status because from Booked they have been changed in Pendant.
What is the problem in your opinion?

    thank you

    • Hello.
I do not sure what exactly the reason of this issue.
      1) Try to update the Booking Calendar and Booking Manager to the latest updates.

      2) Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

      3) Please recheck once again step by step instruction about import/export and tests import manually.

Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync

Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
In case if you are having some issue of not ability to import new events, then check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ics-importing-issue/

Export. Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.

      Kind Regards.

  9. Hello,

I can see how the automatic import of bookings made in a synced google calendar works, but is it possible to also automatically export these bookings (once made/confirmed) back into the google calendar?

My use case is as follows:

My venue sells two separate wedding packages (large and small) but only one package (either the large or the small) in total can be booked on any one day. As the prices are different for each package, and on different days of the week, we would like the calendar to show the price for each of the days. Therefore I have set up two resources - a large wedding and a small wedding, with two separate calendars. The problem comes if a booking is made and confirmed for a large wedding on Friday 1st Jan 2019 for eaxmple, the administrator then needs to make that day unavailable in the small calendar also.

I was therefore wondering if both separate calendars could be jointly linked to the same 'master' google calendar, that once a booking was made for the large wedding, would be automatically exported to the google calendar, and then automatically imported to the small wedding calendar blocking out that day and making it unavailable. This will allow the two calendars to run off one calendar and cut out any administration human error.

Is the above possible? Is there a better way it could be done? I currently have the Medium business version.
    Thanks in advance

    • Hello.
      1) Unfortunately Booking Calendar can not force to import (external sources like Google Calendar) of exported ics feed from the Booking Calendar.

      2) Relative Small and Large wedding products. You can use in the Booking Calendar shortcodes of these 2 bk forms the aggregate parameter for blocking the dates in calendar, if these dates are booked in other calendar (booking resource). Please read how manually to configure Booking Calendar shortcodes here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/

      Kind Regards.
