Hi,
please anybody can advise how to get the price for booked nights and not days?
If I book a week ex.(01/11/2018 - 08/11/2018) the customers are supposed to pay for 7 nights, however the calendar counts the last day (08/11/2018) and calculates the price for 8 days, instead of 7 nights.
It may be a stupid question, but I really cannot find it. Also in all demos, it's a bit wrong.
I am using the business medium
Thanks.
Hello.
Please make this configuration.
1) Please open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and set there cost "per 1 day" instead of cost "per 1 night".
2) Then open the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page and click on "Valuation days" button. Please set this cost configuration:
For LAST day = 0 per day
where LAST its reserved term for last selected day, in this case, system will start calculation like cost per nights.
Save changes.
Or otherwise you can define cost per 1 night at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.
Kind Regards.
Bonjour,
First of all I want to make a big compliment for this support area. Great work!
Last question for my project: Is it possible to change the way the dates are shown in the search well?
After choosing a date from the small calendar, the date is shown as yyyy/... and I prefer dd/mm/yyyy.
Maybe I overlooked this option somewhere?
Many thanks,
Hello.
Unfortunately, in the actual version of Booking Calendar does not possible to change format of dates in date-picker fields, because its connected directly to the other scripts.
But this feature (ability to change date format there) exist in our TODO list, and it will be available in some future updates of plugin.
Thank you.
Is it possible to syncronise the bookinigs with booking.com?
Best regards
Hello.
Booking Calendar plugin is supporting import and export bookings to booking.com via .ics feed(s).
It also support
- import of events via .ics feeds from Google Calendar ( or Airbnb or any other calendar that support .ics format, like iCal application)
- and export bookings to .ics feeds (files), which possible to import in Google Calendar (or Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, VRBO, FlipKey and any other calendar that uses .ics format ).
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
Now about export. Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.
Kind Regards.
Hello,
When using using the business large plugin, I have setup a simple room reservation page for our business. For the reservations, I have setup conditionals to allow for different available times depending on the day of the week. I have also set it up for recurring multi day reservations only instead of one reservation lasting multiple days.
Now, when someone selects recurring days in the calendar, the start and end times only update for the first day selected. So, for instance, someone reserves a room on Monday which has availability from 9am to 7pm, and also selects Friday, which has availability from 12pm to 4pm, it shows Monday's availability instead of updating it to restrict the time to the less available day.
This same behavior is seen if a couple of days are partially booked. It will block out the first day's times, but not the subsequent days. Is there anyway to fix this behavior?
Thanks,
Justin
Hello.
It’s how it’s have to work in actual versions.
Conditional fields in the booking form (like time fields) can depend ONLY from check in day.
At “Additinal info” section at bottom of this article.

Hi Booking Calendar Team,
I am running the Small Business Version and looking for a possibility to show the name of the person who did place a booking in the frontend calendar. Currently, I can only see that there is a booking but not by whom.
I have been runnung a previous version of booking calendar before, and I remember it has been possible there.
Is this feature included and how can I activate it?
2) Or in case if you need to show this data in usual inline month view calendar so then you will be need to make this customization.
Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/core/wpbc-constants.php
if (!defined('WP_BK_SHOW_INFO_IN_FORM')) define('WP_BK_SHOW_INFO_IN_FORM', false ); // This feature can impact to the performance
and replace it to this code:
if (!defined('WP_BK_SHOW_INFO_IN_FORM')) define('WP_BK_SHOW_INFO_IN_FORM', true); // This feature can impact to the performance
Kind Regards.
perfect, thanks for the quick reply! I will test which works best for me.
Hi. i´m just about to purchase the pro version. But I just want to make sure that I can build a booking calendar with the same features like this one: https://www.airsafaris.co.nz/direct-online-bookings/
Thanks. jesper Larsen, denmark
Hello.
Booking Calendar have the similar functionality to your example, but not the exact as in your example.
1) The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.
You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the “shortcode generator” on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode. ~ You can use one”timerange” (timeslots) or “start time” and”end time” selections or”starttime” and “duration”of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/
You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: http://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.
2) The ability to show cost in booking form in real time, possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page http://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
Kind Regards.
I m using a free version for my site. after around 27 bookings I am not receiving any email alerts. is there any limitation in free version for the number of alerts?
Hello.
Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.
The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
Kind Regards.
Hi!
I'm trying to get translations working on the e-mail to new customers. This is the basic setup of the page the form is on:
Your booking is being processed. We will contact you shortly.
[lang=nl-NL]
Jouw boeking wordt verwerkt. We nemen zo spoedig mogelijk contact op.
But if I click, from the admin panel (Settings / Emails) the 'Send test email' button, I only get the first English version in my mailbox. Even though my language is set to Dutch / nl-NL. Also, I made 2 test pages with the form, one in English and one in Dutch. They both send out the English email.
What am I missing here?
Changed the nl-NL into nl_NL and it works like a charm...
Ok good to know that it works for you.
Kind Regards.
Hi WPbookingcalendar,
I am using the business small version and translation is important. When a visitor submit the form from the english page, the New booking email will be send with English content, wich is good. But when each time a different mail message must be send the language must be changed by hand. Is it possible to save the language automaticallyy?
Hello.
1) You can define emails (including approve or decline, etc...) in several languages in the same way as with email about the new booking.
Please read more about this feature here: http://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/several-languages/
2) But in the Booking Listing page, before approving or cancellation of the booking you need to switch language of booking to appropriate language. You need to click on "Globe" icon near specific booking, then switch language, and after this approve or decline the booking. So in this case system will send email in your selected language. Otherwise, system will send email in language, that currently active in your admin panel.
P.S. Its does not possible to switch locale of specific booking automatically. Sorry.
Kind Regards.
Hi!
Recently, we have not been able to take payments from online bookings (we use Business Medium 8.0.1). They only come through as Booking Requests and the price/Paypal button no longer appears for the customer when they click on the "Send" button. However, if I add a booking manually in the back office, the Paypal button now appears there (where it shouldn't as it's a manual booking). Do you have any idea what might be causing this? Is there a setting that we accidentally used that swapped this around?
Thank you for your assistance.
Hello.
Probably you made some customization in your version of Booking Calendar, previously.
For example, if you was editing this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/core/wpbc-constants.php
from this code: if (!defined('WP_BK_PAYMENT_FORM_ONLY_IN_REQUEST')) define('WP_BK_PAYMENT_FORM_ONLY_IN_REQUEST', false );
to this if (!defined('WP_BK_PAYMENT_FORM_ONLY_IN_REQUEST')) define('WP_BK_PAYMENT_FORM_ONLY_IN_REQUEST', false );
so that's there reason why payment form is not showing after submit of booking and showing in payment request.
Otherwise its possible because of some conflict with some other plugin or theme, if some HTML element, like </div> was not closed correctly.
Also please recheck that you have correctly configured HTML elements an closed such elements in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Kind Regards.
