  1. Hi. I do have the business small license on WordPress 4.9.4. My website: http://web.simonewipf.ch/termin/.

    Two questions:
    1) We are working with time slots. When hovering the partly booked days in the calendar, the pop-up-window shows the slots, which are already booked. Is it possible to show the FREE slots? That would be much, much more

    2) Is there a way to select a specific day/morning/afternoon and set it as "booked" in the backend? As far as I can see, the only way to do that is to set every single time slot on "booked", which is very annoying.

    Thanks and best regards!

    • Hello.
      1) Unfortunately, its does not possible to show there free timeslots. Its because instead of timeslots (rangetime) list in the booking form, you can also use start and end time selection or start time and end time text fields for entering any times. That's why there is showing booked instead of available timeslots.

      2) Its possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions to configure new custom booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#custom-forms
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/custom-booking-forms-video-overview/

And inside of this new custom form, you can have such time-range selections. For example:
      Times: [select rangetime "Morning@@08:00 - 12:00" "Afternoon@@12:00 - 16:00" "Evening@@16:00 - 21:00"]
And then at the Booking > Add booking page in admin panel, you can just select specific custom booking form for making your new booking.
      Kind Regards.

  2. Hi, I've got a client running the latest version of the plugin (9.Business.Small.SingleSite.8.1.2 - updated this week) as well as latest WordPress etc but they are encountering some issues.

With new bookings added they will sometimes take hours or days to show up on the frontend of the site - if logged in to WordPress they show up on the frontend straight away but the delay is when not logged in. This is causing users to think dates are available when they're not.

They're also having problems with emails being sent out when they don't want them to - here are the testing results:

    Emails sending ticked

On approval, customer and admin get a mail

Requesting a payment, both get mail

    Final edit, both get mail

Putting an approved booking back to pending, both get mail

    Emails sending unticked

    No emails on Approval

Requesting a payment, Email sent to admin and customer.

No emails sent to either customer or admin on final edit

Putting an approved booking back to pending, both get mail

Trashing, Deleting and Restoring a booking

If we Trash a booking an email is sent to both admin and customer in both ticked AND unticked email sending status

If we then subsequently delete the booking, just the customer gets a mail in both ticked AND unticked email sending status

If we reinstate a trashed booking, neither the customer nor us gets an email, irrespective of email sending status

Can you come back to me on these please so we can get these issues resolved. Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hello.
      1) Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
Otherwise, please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason of this issue.

      2) So issues relative these statuses:
      Emails sending unticked
      - Requesting a payment, Email sent to admin and customer.
      - Putting an approved booking back to pending, both get mail
      and
Trashing, Deleting and Restoring a booking
      - If we Trash a booking an email is sent to both admin and customer in unticked email sending status
      - If we then subsequently delete the booking, just the customer gets a mail in both ticked AND unticked email sending status
      - If we reinstate a trashed booking, neither the customer nor us gets an email, irrespective of email sending status

Can you send screenshots of how you set ticked AND unticked email sending ?
Please send it to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
      Thank you.

      • Hi, thanks for your help on the first point - the caching plugin was what was causing the issue so that is now resolved.

For the second issue with the emails the client has confirmed the following:

If we are updating a booking in the booking listings in the back end, we will leave the emails sending box ticked or we will untick it as appropriate for what we want to do. The only place to do this is at the top right it seems.

If we are updating a booking on the edit page, then we have a choice of tick boxes, either top right or bottom left. As far as we can see these boxes are the same (despite the info that pops up when you hover over them saying different things). We make sure both are either ticked or unticked depending on what we are doing.

        • Hello.
          Just retested all this.
          Emails sending unticked
          - Requesting a payment, Email sent to admin and customer.
This is not issue, because the only reason for the "Payment request" its to send email with payment link. There is no any othe reason to click on Payment request button. That's why if you untick "Sending emails" checkbox, such emails still sending.
          - Putting an approved booking back to pending, both get mail
No, its working correctly. If I untick "Emails sending" checkbox at the top right side in Booking Listing page and click on "Pending" button (to switch from Approved to Pending status of specific booking)

Trashing, Deleting and Restoring a booking
          - If we Trash a booking an email is sent to both admin and customer in unticked email sending status
Yes, its an issue. Was added to TODO list for fixing in future updates
          - If we then subsequently delete" the booking, just the customer gets a mail in both ticked AND unticked email sending status
No, here is both emails sending to customer and admin in unticked email sending status. So this will be fixed. Other works fine.
          - If we reinstate a trashed booking, neither the customer nor us gets an email, irrespective of email sending status
There is no email template at the Booking > Settings > Emails page for such action. So not emails.

          Kind Regards.

  3. Question/Problem wit "MultiUser SingleSite 8.1":
I (=ADMIN) have defined a user "B" for that I insalled everything. This account is runnig suggessfull and I never logged in as "B" tha last month.
The last days I did different tests, espacially as (new) user "C".

Now I noticed, that the email-adress of user "B" (in "Forms") is changed to "my" admin-mail "(ADMIN)
--> How can an email be changed in an user setting (B)without beeing logged in as this user?

    • Hello.
Probably you are having auto fill form fields issue.
Please log in as super booking admin user, then open the Booking > Settings General page and in Form section, deactivate this option "Auto-fill fields".
Its useful, only for auto filling booking form fields by data from user profile, who was logged in.
      Kind Regards.

        • So I do not sure then what exactly issue do you have.

Please recheck in the Booking > Settings > Emails page in each specific user that you was configured correctly emails.
Also please note, during initial activation of booking admin panel in the email templates by default set emails from WordPress user profile.
          Please recheck all this.

And be sure to use latest update 8.1.2
You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
          Kind Regards.

          • I suppose, it happened with the update.
All seetings (ressources, forms, Emails) for the User "B" were done and were untouched for month now. But i installed the update last week.

  4. Hi,

We do have problems setting up your plugin Booking Calendar. These are our problems:
    * timeslots: we would need to have timeslots hour by hour, even by the half hour and we cannot do it right now. Besides, every time we indicate a specific timeslot (for example, 14:00 – 16:00), there is a message saying we should not put : or a space between the hours and the minutes. But choosing a timeslot automatically writes a : between the hours and the minutes… How can we solve that problem?

    * notifications: the notifications normally included in the reservation do not work, although we did indicate a specific e-mail linked to our domain name. How can we fix that?

    Thanks for your help
    Required information:
    * WordPress: 4.9.4
    * PHP: 7.3
    * Booking Calendar: Version 9.Personal.SingleSite.8.1
We also bought the Version 9.Business.Small.SingleSite.5.3 but cannot activate the 2 together. We stuck to the Personal SingleSIte as we had less problems with that version.

    • Hello.
      1) You can configure timeslots selection at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
      Example of booking form configuration:
      <p>Select Times:<br />[select rangetime "06:00 - 06:30" "06:30 - 07:00" "07:00 - 07:30" "07:30 - 08:00" "08:00 - 08:30" "08:30 - 09:00" "09:00 - 09:30" "09:30 - 10:00" "10:00 - 10:30" "10:30 - 11:00" "11:00 - 11:30" "11:30 - 12:00" "12:00 - 12:30" "12:30 - 13:00" "13:00 - 13:30" "13:30 - 14:00" "14:00 - 14:30" "14:30 - 15:00" "15:00 - 15:30" "15:30 - 16:00" "16:00 - 16:30" "16:30 - 17:00" "17:00 - 17:30" "17:30 - 18:00" "18:00 - 18:30" "18:30 - 19:00" "19:00 - 19:30" "19:30 - 20:00" "20:00 - 20:30" "20:30 - 21:00" "21:00 - 21:30"]</p>
      or with using time labels
      <p>Select Times:<br />[select* rangetime multiple "10:00 AM - 12:00 PM@@10:00 - 12:00" "12:00 PM - 02:00 PM@@12:00 - 14:00" "02:00 PM - 04:00 PM@@14:00 - 16:00" "04:00 PM - 06:00 PM@@16:00 - 18:00" "06:00 PM - 08:00 PM@@18:00 - 20:00"]</p>
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-timeslots/

      2) Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

      3) Please note, you can have only one active Booking Calendar plugin.
Please check this instruction how to make update from old to new versions of Booking Calendar https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/update-older-to-newer-paid-version/

      Kind Regards.

How do i create different calendars for each service?

How do create specific time slots in each calendar, for ex. tour morning 10.00- 13.00, ?

Will All day ( 10.00-18.00) appear unavailable if Morning is booked, (on the same day)?

please show me tutorials or videos.

    Thank you.

      • hello,

thank you for the fast reply.

        just one more question:
i only have one guide, only can do one tour at a time:

how do i set only ONE rangetime ( ex. 10-13) for morning tour, and in the page of that tour the calendar only shows that range time? same thing for all day tour ( 10-17) and so on.. ( afternoon, all day, etc..)

my point is, i dont want clients to see in a morning tour (10-13), rangetimes of the afternoon(15-18) or night(19-21).

        thank once again.

  6. Hello

    I have a question:
Is it possible to setup the informations format sent and received when syncronize with Google calender.... or is that a fixed format

    Kind regards
    Per

    • Hello.
Please note, "Event Title", "Event Description" and "Location" during import from the .ics feed or from Goolge Calendar into the Booking Calendar you can assign to the different Booking Calendar fields at the Booking > Settings > Sync page.

During generation .ics feed from Booking Calendar into other service, the "Description" field for .ics feed is get all booking data from configuration of "Content of booking fields data" form in Booking > Settings > Form page. This data is also using for booking Listing page and Emails and Calendar overview page.

      Kind Regards.

  7. How do i migrate my old booking data from another system to your system?

      • If I sync with airbnb, the booking in wpcalendar will auto update when there is a booking from airbnb?

        • Hello.

          Booking Calendar plugin is supporting

          - import of events via .ics feeds from Google Calendar ( or Airbnb or any other calendar that support .ics format, like iCal application)

          - and export bookings to .ics feeds (files), which possible to import in Google Calendar (or Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, VRBO, FlipKey and any other calendar that uses .ics format ).

Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync

Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.

Now about export. Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.

          Kind Regards.

    • Hello.
Sorry, its does not possible with actual versions.
Instead of that you can use selectbox with numbers for selection.
      Kind Regards.

      • when creating a new text field, What is the size and max length for?

        • Hello.
In paid versions you can use text field configuration with size and maximum length in a way like this
          [text fieldname 10/7]
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/

You can change width of fields also by modification ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/css/client.css file.
          Kind Regards.

  8. Hi!
I'm testing the Availability Search with WP Real Estate 7 Theme by Contempo.
I read in previous comments that for this functionality to work, you must embed the booking shortcode into the post or page CONTENT.
In fact, if I do this way, it perfectly works.
But, as long as I have a dedicated field for the booking shortcode provided by the theme, my answer is if it's possible to me to customize the plugin to parse those fields too, as well as the native WP CONTENT field, and more or less how to do it.

    • Hello.
Currently with actual versions of Booking Calendar it’s working only with content.
We will add the ability to work with custom fields for showing in search results, to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin.

      • Ok, thanks. It doesn't matter.
Another way I can make this work, is to make WP Booking Calendar native search functionality to search through the theme's Custom Taxonomies.
I saw there's a search category shortcode and a search post_tag shortcode availables in the search form.
Do you think I can try to copy, paste and modify one of them to make it work?
Eventually, where is it's code stored?

        Thanks in advance,
        Gabriele

  9. Hi support,

is it possible migrate my customer old data from a different booking system to your booking system in DB level?

    thanks.

    reagrds,
    Aaron

    • Hello.
      1) Its does not possible, because the booking data in the Booking Calendar folder, is storing in specific custom format.
And its does not possible to make such transfer by using only SQL command or database dump/restore procedure.
Currently there is no script for such import procedure. We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin.

      2) You can check more info about the table of Booking Calendar here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/where-is-saving-booking-data-gdpr/

      3) You can install the Booking Calendar, then make new booking with some test booking data, and then recheck in those tables how this info is storing.
Basically, you need to check 2 database table wp_booking and wp_bookingdates
But content of the booking in wp_booking table have some specific format.

      4) Check more about request of new features for Booking Calendar here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/need-new-feature/

      Thank you.

      • If i export the data from old system tables then convert it to one table and export out. Then turn it into format exported with excel from your system. then can i importat that back into your system ?
