  1. Hello, I would recommend you to set up many customer attachments. I've always used Premium but I'm having a hard time with the free version. Email comes in as "*" and I can not remove the requirement

      The email field in the booking form, is required field, its can not be skipped. Its because much functionality belong from the emails in the Booking Calendar.

  2. I have already built a website for a client, for ski chalet. There are two floors that can be rented separately, or the whole chalet can be rented as one unit. I created (last year) two calendars (using another Calendar System) - one for each floor and added a note / form for the user to call if they wanted to rent the whole chalet.

    My client would actually like to have a third option active as a calendar, for the whole chalet. What I can't seem to wrap my head around is how we can avoid conflicts. For example, someone has already rented the upper floor for say August 13-19. Now someone else wants to rent the ENTIRE chalet during the same time period. How can we do this without a conflict?

    Will your plugin accomplish this?

      You can create 3 booking resources in paid versions of Booking Calendar:

      - Floor 1 ( ID = 2 )
      - Floor 2 ( ID = 3 )
      - Entire chalet ( ID = 4 )

      Then you need to insert into the posts or pages Booking Calendar shortcodes with agregate parameter for these booking resources.

      agregate - possibility to show reserved days in one calendar from several booking resource. So its mean that one calendar can aggregate dates from several booking resource. Usage: agregate='2;4;5', where 2;4;5 – ID of booking resources. The ID of booking resources you can check at the Booking > Resources page.

      Example:

      - Floor 1

      [booking type=2 nummonths=1 agregate='4' ]

      - Floor 2

      [booking type=3 nummonths=1 agregate='4' ]

      - Entire chalet

      [booking type=4 nummonths=1 agregate='2;3' ]

      Note! Please be careful in configuration of Booking Calendar shortcode with quote symbols. Do not use non standard opening or closing quot symbols. Only standard like: ' The best way to type them from keyboard, and not copy/past

      By default its does not possible. Sorry.
      But if you are having the different rates for the different days in calendar, so then each such specific day (calendar day cell) have CSS class with specific rate, like this
      rate_135
      or like this depend from your day rate:
      rate_100

      So you can add tour custom CSS for having different backgraound for such days.

  4. Hello,
    is there form tag (cost hint) for the new last-minute feature available, so that the last-minute discount can be displayed in the booking form as a hint (eg. like: [additional_cost_hint_last_minute_discount])?
    I think this hint tag is very important, otherwise, guests think that there is a miss calculation or simply don't even recognize the discount.

    • Hello.
      Unfortunately, the separate hint for such discount value is not exist in actual versions. You can write just some fixed text at the page with description about your price policy.
      You can use [cost_hint] which will show actual (discounted cost) in your booking form.

      We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin.

    I am using your plugin for managing bookings at a holiday caravan park.
    My client is wanting to configure a "3 minimum night stay" feature, but only wants it to apply for specific booing dates (ie: public & school holiday periods)?

    Basically, they want to enforce a "minimum stay" for specific times during the year.

    How do I achieve this?

        How can I increase the cost of resource options as well as the original resource cost when a season filter has been applied?

        For example, I have set a season filter to apply to one of my resources (ie: a caravan site) & increased the price under "Resources\Costs and Rates" section. This increases the price when selecting the caravan site by itself when making a booking, but I need a way to also increase the costs of the attached options too (ie: children and extra adults).

        How would I achieve this?

          Its will work only in case if you set rates or additional cost as percentage from bo cost and will not use fixed cost.
          For example if you set cost for adults selection instead of values like this:
          visitors 1=100usd 2=150usd 3=200usd ...
          values like this:
          visitors 1=100% 2=150% 3=200% ...

          But its will work only proportionally.

          Direct dependence the additional cost from the seasons does not possible to set. Sorry.

    I'm trying to build a Conference room booking service. The rooms are located around the city I live in, and owned and managed by different companies. Like an AirBnB for Conference rooms..
    Do I use one calendar for each room och can these be combined into one booking calendar?
    I cannot find how I can set this app for Hourly bookings. Is this possible?

      It’s does not possible to see availability from different places in one calendar. Only in different calendars. Otherwise you will have overbooking. But if you do not care about overbooking, then you can use one calendar and activate option to show days always available at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

      2) The timeslots bookings since update 8.3 pissible even in Booking Calendar Free version.

      The ability to book for the specific times possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). ~ In lower versions of Booking Calendar (including free version), possible to make bookings for specific times only for specific restricted time-slots

      Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

        I found the time slot setting. (I had 6.2 installed)..
        However: I can't do a multiple select. Let's say that I have 1-hour slots set up, and the customer would like to book 3 hours. He/she cannot multi select from the Drop-down displayed.
        How is this achieved the easiest way?

          Yes, its does not possible to select multiple timeslots.
          But instead of timeslots, you can use start time and duration of time fields (in Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions ) for ability to book several hours starting from start time.

  8. Hello,

    - the changeMonth, changeYear feature doesn't work, it can't be clicked when active.
    - How can I highlight the firstday (day of today) in my calendar? Is it possible to also see booked weeks in the past instead of count from day of today?

    • Hello.
      Sorry, but where exactly you are using this features "changeMonth, changeYear" ? Is it in timeline view ?
      If yes Probably, its because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
      Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
      If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
      We just need to find the reason of this issue.

      2) By default the today date have the different background color in inline month view calendar, where you are selecting the date(s). This day cell have this css class "datepick-today". Please check how to configure calendar skin here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/change-skin-and-colors/

      3) Past booked days possible to see only in timeline view (but not in the inle month view calendar, where you have selection of days). Like in this example https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/timeline/
