  1. Hello,
We want to buy your plugin and have a questions. Is there a possibility to define a monthly booking limit for a user? Like User X can book Resource Y only 6 hours per month.

    Thank you for your advice

    • Hello.
Unfortunately it’s does not possible in actual versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry.
      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you for your quick answer.

I tried the demo and I'm not sure about my next question: Is it possible to define different booking types (Daterange, Single Day, Hourslot) for different Resources? Or is it like 1 setting for them all.

Thank you for your support and patience!

        Best regards

Because of that you are having this issue. Please be sure to use the latest update of Booking Calendar 8.8.1
It has to resolve the issue of not showing the calendar at the latest update of WordPress.
In case if you are using the paid version of Booking Calendar, then you can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

      Kind Regards.

  3. Hello,
can you please answer one presale question?

Is it possible that two users can book and manage the same room from backend in Booking Calendar?

    Kind regards,

    • Hello.
Booking Calendar admin panel open by default for all registered WordPress users. So yes, it's possible.
Also please note, you can define the minimum user roles for the accessing the booking menu pages at the Booking > Settings General page in right side of that page.
      Kind Regards.

  4. Hi, thank you!

in that case, where you can see which of the users created that particular booking?

    Thanks!

    • Hello.
Such users fill the booking form fields, and you can check it by the email address.
      Test it in live demos.
      Kind Regards.

  5. Hi

I'd like to use the Pro version of your plugin on a WordPress Mulitsite install. This will run on a single domain, with multiple sites, e.g.:

    domain.com/site1
    domain.com/site2
    domain.com/site3
    etc

Can you please confirm if we would require a single licence for the domain, or multiple licenses, one for each child-site/

    Many thanks
    Luke

    • Hello.

If you want to install plugin at the WordPress MU environment on different sub sites, so in this case, each activation of the plugin will be fully independent from each other.

And you can NOT check bookings from one sub-site to other sub-site even if you logged in as some administrator. Its fully separate activation of plugin.

And because of that you will be need to purchase some multisite usage version of Booking Calendar.

Even if this versions have the restrictions for the 5 different websites only, you can use these versions in the WordPress MU environment as many instances as you need.

Only you need to use the single site activation mode, do not use the network activation mode for the Booking Calendar, its working incorrectly.

Please note, it's will be fully independent activation of plugin with own settings and configurations.

  6. Hello,
I have the free version. I would like to allow 2 people to be able to book during each available appointment time.

    • Hello.

Unfortunately, if you are need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same timeslot at same date in SAME CALENDAR, its does NOT possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry. Please check my suggestion bellow.

      A) The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

In lower versions of Booking Calendar possible to make bookings only for restricted timeslots.

You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: http://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

      B) If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity

At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation). Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/

We highly recommend to check this article about different configuration of capacity and availability http://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/

      _____________________________________________

Suggestion! I can suggest that you can create the booking resource with specific capacity in Booking Calendar Business Large version for the each of your times and then have the independent own calendar for the each of your time slot for the reservation. Its mean that your visitors firstly, need to select the times in the selectbox, where will be list all your options.

And only after that select the date and fill the booking form. Its can be look like this: http://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource-2/

  7. Hello again

Help me with which version and set up for my use case please?

I use WP ALL IMPORT for importing properties into my website as posts. In each property / post, I want an appointment calendar to allow user to book appointment for viewing property. I have one office staff who will manage all property viewings and the calendar will be used only for appointments.

1a) Do I need one resource for each property - or can use the same resource for all posts, if office staff only have one calendar?

1b) If I must have unique resource for each listing - can I create / delete resources dynamically when create listings?

1c) If I only use one resource, what is the downside in my use case?

    2) Can I do both way sync on Google calendar automatically e.g. every 30 minutes), to have up to date available times showing in website - and also in google calendar?

    Thank you

    • Also

      3) Could it be possible to pass a paramater to a form field ? e.g. property id which could be in URL like :
      example.com/?propertyid=5443545

    • Hello.
      1) If you are having the different properties, then probabaly for the different properties you need to have the different bookings, even in the same date/time,
that's why you need to have the one resource (calendar) for each properties. So your variant (1a).
      2) You can create or delete the booking resources only manually at the Booking > Resources page.
      3) Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync

      Import.
Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically accessing this page with booking import shortcode to start the import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly the system will start the import process and only then show the booking form, when someone visits your page.

In case if you are having some issue of not ability to import new events, then check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ics-importing-issue/

You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/

      Export.
Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/Booking Calendar is generated .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some services (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into their own system, does not depend on the Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force the import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed for making imports.

      Kind Regards.

      • Hello thank you for your reply"

        "Hello.

The problem for us, the property gets created automatically when one is available - it gets imported to the site via cron job. Therefore unless we can make resource dynamically, then we can only use one calendar?

Can it be possible to add feature to make booking resource "on the fly" if resource ID not exists? Maybe a feature for next release 😉

For now, I think we will try with just one calendar.

        Thank you

        • An easy way to solve this would be to set the booking_type ID to the Post ID - might there be a php snippet for something like that?

          • Also - is there a way to add a name to the email ?

            Dear [firstname]

            Thank you for your booking.....

            • Hello.
Yes, it's possible. But the obligatory condition to use such shortcode [firstname] in the "Content of booking fields data" form at the bottom of the Booking > Settings > Form page.
And of course in the booking form you need to use something like this:
              First name: [text firstname ""]
              Kind Regards.

          • Hello.
I will add to the TODO list item for ability to create the booking resources with some API.
But I can not say, when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.
            Thank you for understanding.

  8. Hello,
My client wants to set up a different schelude for holidays (ie. here in spain, april 1st and 2nd).
Is there any way to set up those concrete days?

    Thanks in advance!

      • Hello,
I'm checking the guide, but that seems to "deactivate" those particular days... what im looking for is to set up a particular schelude for that day (for example, we are always open from 8 to 20 hours, that day would be from 10 to 13).
That can be done with season or conditional filters?

        Thanks!

          • Hi!
Thanks as always for your support.
I managed to set up a season filter for "19marzo" (march 19th) wich is a holiday here, like this:

Por favor, seleccione la fecha deseada.
            [calendar]

            Selecciona la hora:
            [condition name="weekday-condition" type="weekday" value="*"]
            Horario general: [select rangetime "08:00 - 08:10" "08:10 - 08:20" "08:20 - 08:30" "08:30 - 08:40" "08:40 - 08:50" "08:50 - 09:00" "09:00 - 09:10" "09:10 - 09:20" "09:20 - 09:30" "09:30 - 09:40" "09:40 - 09:50" "09:50 - 10:00" "10:00 - 10:10" "10:10 - 10:20" "10:20 - 10:30" "10:30 - 10:40" "10:40 - 10:50" "10:50 - 11:00" "11:00 - 11:10" "11:10 - 11:20" "11:20 - 11:30" "11:30 - 11:40" "11:40 - 11:50" "11:50 - 12:00" "12:00 - 12:10" "12:10 - 12:20" "12:20 - 12:30" "12:30 - 12:40" "12:40 - 12:50" "12:50 - 13:00" "13:10 - 13:20" "13:20 - 13:30" "13:30 - 13:40" "13:40 - 13:50" "13:50 - 14:00"]

            Horario 19 de marzo: [select rangetime "09:00 - 09:10" "09:10 - 09:20" "09:20 - 09:30" "09:30 - 09:40" "09:40 - 09:50" "09:50 - 10:00" "10:00 - 10:10" "10:10 - 10:20" "10:20 - 10:30" "10:30 - 10:40" "10:40 - 10:50" "10:50 - 11:00" "11:00 - 11:10" "11:10 - 11:20" "11:20 - 11:30" "11:30 - 11:40" "11:40 - 11:50" "11:50 - 12:00" "12:00 - 12:10" "12:10 - 12:20" "12:20 - 12:30" "12:30 - 12:40" "12:40 - 12:50" "12:50 - 13:00"]
            [/condition]

However, it still shows both scheludes, being a week day and this concrete day...

            How can I avoid that?

Ps. Thanks a lot, im not very skilled with this type of things.

            • Hello.
you need to use week conditions or season conditions, but not 2 together !!!

So in your case, you need to use only season conditions section, like this:

              [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="*"] Default: [select rangetime "14:00 - 16:00" "16:00 - 18:00" "18:00 - 20:00"] [/condition] [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="High_season"] High season: [select rangetime "10:00 - 12:00" "12:00 - 14:00" "14:00 - 16:00" "16:00 - 18:00" "18:00 - 20:00"] [/condition] [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="Low_season"] Low season: [select rangetime "12:00 - 14:00" "14:00 - 16:00"] [/condition]

              Please check more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/different-time-slots-selections-for-different-days/

              Kind Regards.

  9. Hello,
I am trying to use, in two different pages of my site, a calendar pointing to the same resource but with different forms, one of which has a choice between 2 time slots.

I identified 2 problems in my bookings:
    - the 2nd form used is the right one defined in the calendar integrated into my page, but the email sent is the one of the default form defined for my resource. I would like to send the right email corresponding to my form,
    - when choosing the time slot on the form which is not the default one, the number of resulting available resources is incorrect. I have 4, and after 2 reservations of 1 visitor, my resource is displayed as full. While on the page that uses the default form, I have 2 remaining availabilities. If I remove the choice of time slot from the form, the availability becomes correct again

Would you know if I was wrong? May you please help me?
    Thanks a lot

    • Hello.
      1) The email is always the same for the notifications. It's defined only once at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.
      2) Please note, unfortunately, if you need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same time slot at same date in SAME CALENDAR, it is NOT possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry.
