  1. Hello,
I have a multilanguage website (Ita and Eng). Ita is main language but when a customer makes a reservation in English and an admin approves it, the approval email is sent in Italian even if the settings are ok.
Only the email generated automatically when there is a new reservation, is sent in the right language.
    Why?
    Thank you

    • Hello.

During approval or cancelation of booking, the system will send an email in the language that you were active in the admin panel during making this action.

To override this behavior, you can change language for specific booking, before clicking on Approve / Cancel button, by clicking on “Globe” icon near specific booking and changing language/locale. It’s in the Booking Listing page.

But it will work, only in case if you do not use some translation plugins. Otherwise you need to switch languages of the admin panel by clicking on the language option of specific translation plugin.

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/multiple-languages-video-tutorial/
Please check more useful info here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/get-page-active-locale/

  2. Hello, your plugin is very good but missing one important feature. In emails it doesnot have an option to show the exact page link or Page Title where the bookings was made. It has [site_url] Option which is too general admins cannot identify the exact page the client has booked from.
Can you help me with adding that feature? Thank you in Advance

    • Hello.

Please use this shortcode in the emails:
[request_url] - inserting address of the page (if any), where visitor make this action

      Kind Regards.

  3. Hello,
I'm receiving a lot of spam from the Booking Calendar form, even though I'm using the captcha.
Do you have any advice on that ?

    • Hello.
Please try to install some captcha plugin that is using captcha for entire screen entering, like Google Captcha v.3
      Kind Regards.

  4. Hi

Is it possible to make all days until the 15th of may unavailable? I have the Business Large.

    Best regards
    Kasper

      • Thank you.

Another question. I have this description for 3 of my ressources. How can I fix that?

  5. Hi, we have just upgraded to WPBooking 8.8.1
Unfortunately we don't see the already booked time-slots in the "new booking"-forms (and there are already double bookings showing up in our system). In both frontend and backend the booked slots are no longer greyed-out.
We have deactivated WP Fastest Cache already, cleared the cache of the browser, tested it with two different browsers, and double-checked that we did not have "unlimited bookings" checked.
We'd rather not want to use "check double-bookings while sending" but have the greyed-out version of before.

What else could be the problem?
    Thanks, Frank

    • Hello.

Probably, its because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason of this issue.

  6. Hi,
that did not work unfortunately. We've switched off all Plugins, and went back to the standard theme - It is still possible to book the same ressource and time-slot several times.
    Anything else we might so?
    Thanks, Frank

    • Hello.
Please open the General Booking Settings page and in the “Advanced section”, please be sure that you have not activated this option: “Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):”. This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.

Also this option “Use pending days as available” must be unchecked, as well. It’s located at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

If you still will have this issue, please contact support of your hosting relativecany cache system at your server.

      Kind Regards.

      • Sorry, did not work. I have double checked: "Allow unlimited bookings..." and “Use pending days as available” are both unchecked.
And we have tested it without any caching switched on - not on WordPress, not on the server.

One thing hat actually has changed: We moved to a new faster server (that's what our provider says) that uses MariaDB as the central database, not MySQL. But this should not make any difference to you, right?PHP 7.4 is the same.

One question: Could this be a performance or timout-problem, when your software queries which time slots are taken and does not get the anwer in time? Can this be tested?

        • Hello.
The only reason I can see, it’s some cache system at your server.

By the way you have to see all booked dates and time slots at the Booking > Add booking page in Admin panel.
          Kind Regards.

          • The server does not cache anything, or ISP says.
I can see all booked dates and timeslots (via mouse-over) in the admin panel - only in the time-picker in the "add booking"-form all the slots already taken are not greyed-out.

Could this be a memory-problem of the server? We have a huge number of bookings in our database (since 2013!). And also quite a few in future. Could it be that the number of records the booking-form has to acquire from the database is the problem? It already takes a while before the front-end and the back-end booking pages are fully loaded. Maybe it is a memory and timing issue?

            • Hello.
If you have showing timeslots in the mouse over tooltips, so then it’s have to work correctly.
Just be sure that you have activated the single day section mode at the Booking > Settings General page. In this case system will remove the already booked timeslots, after selections of some day.
              Kind Regards.

              • Thanks - that changed it actually. When I have switched on only "single day" then I correctly see the time-slots already taken in grey - just like before.

But we had (since 2013) WPBookng set to "multiple-days" and everytime we booked for only one day, WPBooking showed us the slots taken. That has changed in a recent update, right?

                • Hello.
In actual update it’s working only for single day selection mode.
                  Kind Regards.

                  • Thanks.
Are you planning to change it back to how it worked before? Or can I change anything (with your help) in the code so that we (at least in the backend) can still book several dates while keeping it like it is on single-day bookings?

                    • Hello.

Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/wp-content/plugins/booking/js/wpbc_times.js

( you can check how to edit files in WordPress menu in this article https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/how-edit-file-in-wp-menu/ )

                      then find this code:

                      ********************************
                      if ( (bk_days_selection_mode == 'single') ){ // Only single day selections here //FixIn: 8.7.11.6
                      //if ( ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'single' ) || ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'multiple' ) ) {

                      ********************************

and replace it to this code:

                      ********************************
                      // if ( (bk_days_selection_mode == 'single') ){ // Only single day selections here //FixIn: 8.7.11.6
                      if ( ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'single' ) || ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'multiple' ) ) {

                      ********************************

Please do not forget to clear browser cache before testing these changes.

  7. I want to use the search tool. I have followed the instructions and put the shortcodes on the different pages. I have cleared the cache in the search settings page, but it is still showing 0 booking forms in pages. But I already have 5 pages with booking forms for the parent resources. What am I missing?

    • Hello.
You need to add into the CONTENT of the page the shortcode for the booking form (like this [booking type=1] ) for the booking resources that “parent” booking resources or single booking resources.

If you was added the booking forms to the sidebars or in some meta boxes, it’s will not work. You need to add them into content of the pages.

Please check this FAQ article: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-search-results/

      • Hello,

The shortcodes are already in the content of the page. When I open the pages, the booking forms do work. Only the search tool is not working and still showing 0 bookingforms. I did everything that is described in the FAQ article, but still it doesn't work.

        • Hello.
If you have clicked at the clear search cache button and see 0 found pages, it’s means that you have added the booking forms into the sidebar or meta boxes at the page and not directly in the content of the post or page.
          Please recheck that.
          Kind Regards.

            • Hello.
              1) Do you have as exiting booking resource with ID = 52 at the Booking > Resources page?
              2) Did you clicked on “clear search cache button” and see 0 found pages after that ?

              3) Do you use Elementor or some other plugin that transform edit post page ?

If yes, can you switch off it and try to use just standard WordPress edit page ?

Otherwise can you switch to html view page mode (usually by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + M ) and recheck if you have the booking shortcode in the content ? Please check more here https://wordpress.com/support/editors/

              Thank you.

              • I solved the problem by putting the shortcodes in a blog instead of a page. The search tool works. Other question: How do I get the image and short description for the resources in the search results like you are showing in the demo? Is there a video how to do this?

                • Hello.

If you need to show the description and the images in the search results like here

                  https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com/search-results/

then the text  in search  results is getting from "Excerpt” section  of  post,  where you have inserted the booking form  and the image - its "Favorite image" of this post. In search  result form  at the Booking > Settings > Search page you will be need to  use these shortcodes:

[booking_featured_image] - featured image, taken from the featured image associated with the post,
[booking_info] - booking info, taken from the  excerpt associated with the post

Please note,  before testing it,  you need to  click  on "Clear search" cache button  at the Booking > Settings > Search page.
If you will  have any  issues with showing search  results,  so  then please check this FAQ article: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-search-results/

                  Kind Regards.

  8. In Booking Calendar Resources
I am able to add and delete resources but it wont let me change the ID

    • Hello.
ID in booking resources can not be changed. It’s auto generated number for booking resource, when such booking resources was created.
      Kind Regards.

  9. So today I went and assigned a parent to the four boking forms - now I can no longer see them on the resources page - how do I change them back to single?

    • Hello.
If you was not deleted the booking resources, then all exist booking resources you can find at the Booking > Resources page.

Otherwise if you was deleted booking resources, then you need to restore the database backup, if you have backup. Check this with support of your hosting.
      Kind Regards.
