Hi!
My question is that the quantity of a Resource doesn't work with Time Selection Form? I mean, if the quantity is 2, I would like to book that Resource 2 times in the same Time Slot.
Thank you for the answers, is really helpful.
Hello.
Unfortunately, if you are need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same timeslot at same date in SAME CALENDAR, its does NOT possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry. Please check my suggestion bellow.
A) The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.
In lower versions of Booking Calendar possible to make bookings only for restricted timeslots.
You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.
You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/
You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: http://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.
B) If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity
At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation). Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/
Suggestion! I can suggest that you can create the booking resource with specific capacity in Booking Calendar Business Large version for the each of your times and then have the independent own calendar for the each of your time slot for the reservation. Its mean that your visitors firstly, need to select the times in the selectbox, where will be list all your options.
Hello, when creating a resources selection form on the wordpress page, when the drop down is clicked on it goes on top of the calendar and you can see all the numbers underneath, I have a screenshot that i can send over of this issue. Thanks
Ryan
Hello.
Please send the link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue and send screenshot.

Hello.
I have a problem with PayPal and payment confirmation. Sometimes PayPal does not confirm the payment has been placed, so the booking plugin does not update the status to "confirmed". Then, as the dates do not show as booked, other clients can book the same resource for the same dates. I have some doublebookings, and that is a big problem for me.
I guess this happen when the client does not go back to my site to confirm the payment. Perhaps they just close the browser window after PayPal tells them the payment has been done.
Is there a way to get the confirmation from Paypal even when the client closes the window at PayPal? I'm using booking.bl.8.4.6
Thanks for your time.
Jose.
Hello.
I guess this happen when the client does not go back to my site to confirm the payment. Perhaps they just close the browser window after PayPal tells them the payment has been done.
Yes, you are right. That's the reason of that issue.
If you are using the PayPal standard integration and your visitors is made the payment for the booking, but do not click on the "return link" on PayPal site to your site, so Booking Calendar do not know that the payment is successful.
So sometimes its possible that the successfully payed bookings will not have updated successfully payed status at the Booking Listing page.
Ideally (for PayPal) you will be need to activate and correctly configure the PayPal IPN system, at the Booking > Settings > Payment page and in the PayPal account. So in this case the PayPal have to send the messages directly to your booking system.
Kind Regards.
Perfect!
Thanks for the quick answer.
Best regards.
I want to try first the free version. I installed the plugin and added the calendar to my page. I do see the calendar, but i miss the form. How come?
You have inserted the shortcode for only "availability calendar" [bookingcalendar type=1 nummonths=2] instead of shortcode for booking form [booking type=1 nummonths=2]
Please open the page with booking form for editing, then remove exist shortcode.
After this switch from the "Visual" view mode to "Text" view mode your content editor.
And then reinsert the Booking Calendar shortcode and test it.
You need to insert this shortcode:
[booking]
Please note, this shortcode [bookingcalendar type=1 nummonths=2] is only for showing availability calendar, without form, where you can not select the dates.
Hi.
I have another problem with your plugin .
In admin panel on bookings page with calendar, in booking detail popup window, in payment block we have this text : Payment Unknown.
Tell me please, what text there must be instead of "Unknown"? And what I have to do with this? Help me please
Hello.
It’s correct text, there just after creation of new booking.
Booking Calendar plugin can update this text, to Success or Failed payment, in case if visitor was redirected from the Payment system website to your website.
For example Stripe redirect to your website automatically after payment process. PayPal will redirect to your website, only in case if the visitor click on “return back to your website” link at PayPal website. If the visitor just close the browser page after payment, system will not know about the status of payment, and you will see there payment status “Unknown”.
Kind Regards.
Thank you for your explanation )
Hi, I have created a number of season filters for a booking resource. Each filter is for a week and each one has a different price e.g. 20/03/2020 - £620, 27/03/2020 - £820, 03/04/2020 - £825... Customers can book 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks for a stay on Fridays only. In the main settings I have selected Range Days > Dynamic. The shortcode on my page looks like this: [booking type=2 nummonths=2 options='{calendar months_num_in_row=2 width=100%},{start-day condition="weekday" for="5" value="8,15,22,29"}']. When I choose 1 week, the cost is correct. But if I choose 2 or more weeks, the total cost remains at the cost of the first week only. So (using the example above) if I choose 20/03/2020 to 03/04/2020 (2 weeks) it should be £1,440 in total, but it shows £620.
Hello.
If you are using “Valuation days”, so then you need to configure costs like this:
Together 7 days = 500 USD
Together 14 days = 1000 USD
Together 21 days = 1500 USD
Together 28 days = 2000 USD
...
Otherwise instead of “Valuation days” you need to use the Rates (where you can set cost per days - for different seasons).
Kind Regards.
OK I was using Valuation Days (Together 8 Days, 620 £ for all days, Season 13/03/2020. etc..). I've just disabled all of them and filled in the first few Rates for the resource to test. My costs are per week not day, so I've changed this to Fixed Sum for each season filter. However, still when I choose more than 1 week in the calendar it only shows the cost of the first week.
Hello.
You need to remove the “Valuation days” cost settings (or disable them).
Then set cost per 1 day at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.
If you are having cost per week as 620 GBP
So then you need to set rate (cost per 1 day ) as 88,57 GBP which is equal to 620 / 7

Export.
Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/
Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.
Import.
Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
In case if you are having some issue of not ability to import new events, then check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ics-importing-issue/
You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/
In general, Booking Calendar plugin is supporting:
- import of events via .ics feeds from Google Calendar ( or Airbnb or any other calendar that support .ics format, like iCal application
- and export bookings to .ics feeds (files), which possible to import in Google Calendar (or Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, VRBO, FlipKey and any other calendar that uses .ics format ).
Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync

Hi, what permissions should a user have created to only have access to the add-on reservations?
Hello.
Basically, you can crate such WordPress users with Subscriber user role.
Just be sure that in the Booking Calendar at the Booking > Settings General page you have set the minimum user access level as subscriber for menu pages of Booking Calendar plugin. You can set it at the Booking > Settings General page in Menu plugin section.
Kind Regards.
I have followed the instructions but I can't seem to import from google calendars? I have tried to use the booking manager approach as well as the sync settings page and then clicking on import from the booking listings admin page but neither one is working. Any help would be appreciated. I am using the large business multi site booking calendar.
