  1. Hi
I have Business Medium. I upgraded because I want to have different calendars and booking forms for different class of resources. I am now finding that my single time slot resource doesn't work because I have to set the Type of days selection in calendar to range of days for my other main resource. How can I make the single time slot form work for my resource?

    • Hello.
If you need to make a booking of time slot on several dates, then you need to activate this option: "Use time selections as recurrent time slots" at the Booking > Settings General page in "Calendar" section, if you want to use recurrent time to reserve several days. This means that middle days will be partially booked by actual times, otherwise the time in the booking form will be used as check-in/check-out time for the first and last day of the reservation.

  2. RE: Capacity availability for a resource on a particular date.

We are using the large version plugin and added "Child" resources under parent resources to set a capacity limit for the seats available on each tour.

Is there any way to change the capacity for a specific date on a resource?
Example: Tour 1 parent resource capacity is set to 21 for every day of the year.
But on 21 September 2023 we would only like to make 15 seats available.

    Thanks

    • Hello.
You can set several (21-15=6) "child booking resources:" as unavailable via availability at the Booking > Resources > Availability page,
Or you can make a blank bookings for these child booking resources at the Booking > Resources page.
In this case the capacity on 21 September 2023 will be reduced.
      Kind Regards.

      • Hi

If we would like to add another 21 seats for a particular day, can you increase the availability?
Are you able to show a screenshot or link to a video for how to alter the capacity for a certain day whilst leaving the rest of the days using the capacity that is set up under the resources.
        Thanks

        • Hello.
Unfortunately, it's does not possible to increase the availability on particular day. Sorry.
The capacity possible to define for entire booking resource (calendar). And decrease of availability possible only by making blank bookings or defining unavailable dates on specific dates in specific child booking resources. But for ability to increase availability you need to to increase availability for entire booking resource. It's will not apply to specific date. It's will apply to all dates.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/availability-capacity-video-overview/
          Kind Regards.

          • Hi
If we increase the resource capacity and then use the "availability" to reduce the capacity on all days except the date we want to allow more seats, given the plugin is not working to allow editing of bookings at the moment on the large version, will that effect any of the existing bookings if we alter the capacity numbers on resources now as we've upgraded to large version from medium?
I don't want to alter the capacity and it make an issue with all the existing bookings.

            • Hello.
If you increase capacity the existing bookings will not be changed. And they will be as before without changes.

              • But if you try to edit the exist bookings after change of capacity, then system can save editing booking into a new child booking resources if they available.

  3. Hello, We have a banquet hall that we rent out daily. I have a calendar for every year to display a daily cost and we don't want people to be able to scroll into another year. We have a "resource" for each calendar year to control our daily pricing. Is there a way to disable the scroll arrow on the calendar so they can only see 12 months? If I adjust to show 12 months or 1 year on the general settings page it will only show the next 12 months from today. So our availability calendar for 2025 shows 2023 dates on it only so that setting doesnt work.

    Thanks.

    • Hello.
      1) It's possible to disable the date(s) outside of the specific year at the Booking > Availability page. You can define days as unavailable in just a few clicks at Booking > Availability page. Simply select a range of days on the calendar, choose 'available' or 'unavailable' status, and click on the Apply button. That's it.

Or It's possible to set as unavailable specific days during specific seasons or weekdays in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#availability
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-season-availability/

      2) For scrolling to specific year (after page loading), you can define the start year and month in specific calendar inside of the Booking Calendar shortcode, during inserting it into the post or page.
Please read how manually to configure Booking Calendar shortcodes here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
      Kind Regards.

  4. Hello.

Trying to set up a booking calendar for my customer - daily rental with high/low season pricing. The page shows the calendar exactly as I want with a form on the right and a pricing summary underneath the calendar, but the cost of the booking is not displaying correctly - it is not multiplying the number of nights booked x the fee per night. I have checked your live demos and put in the same settings and it is still not working. No matter how many days selected in the calendar, the total cost of booking only displays one night's fee. What is set up wrong please ?

    • Hello.
Please note, the total booking cost possible to show in booking form with [cost_hint] shortcode.
You need to use this [cost_hint] shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page to show this total booking cost in real time depending from the selection of dates and some other options in booking form.
      Test it here https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/

In mouse over tooltip over specific date(s) is showing cost per specific ONE date, which you mouse over. You can disable this option at the Booking > Settings General page in "Calendar" section.

Also please be sure that you have defined cost per 1 day option at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.
      Kind Regards.

  6. I have setup this booking calendar system and it works wonders, I just have a questions.

1: How do I set it so you only can only book max 2 days at the time, I don't see that feature anywhere.

  7. Hello,

Is there a way to migrate plugin to a new web page under the same domain?

We have made a new page design in new wordpress and we would like to migrate the plugin.

    Thank you and kind regards!

    • Hello.
Here is general info about migrate process (in case if you will not make fully identical transfer).

      1) You need to inform us about old and new url of websites for your Booking Calendar version.

      2) You need to transfer the Booking Calendar files from the ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder} of old website to new website.

According transfer of the Booking Calendar Data.

      3) Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/4425kRMaFso

      4) Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/EZ4jxJDlTFs

Helpful tip from video guide. In the old database you need to execute this SQL in your phpMyAdmin tool.

      SELECT * FROM `wp_options` WHERE `option_name` LIKE 'booking%'

After this you can export SQL file for importing in your new database.

      5) You can make such migrate from one to other website only once. And of course you need to delete the Booking Calendar version at old website.

Please check what support we are providing here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
      Kind Regards.

  8. I am pitching this to our Board of Directors tonight to purchase for our Yacht Club. A few quick questions that I can't seem to find in FAQ's and other forum questions....
    1) Can I export via PDF and print my reservations by month?
    2) I don't see anything about a waitlist. Is having a waitlist for reservations available?
    3) I'd like to offer to our yacht club members to play with this tool for 1 month once installed on our website, so our members can get used to the new system. Is it possible to bulk delete everything they entered as tests once we are done and start fresh on a certain date?
    Thanks so much!!

    • Hello.
      1) It’s does not support export bookings to the PDF, but plugin support print functionality from the Booking Listing page at Actions toolbar. So if you need a pdf, you can print into the pdf.

      2) You can activate option “Pending bookings as available” at the Booking > Settings General page in “Availability” section. Basically it’s the same as waiting list.
And in the Booking Calendar Business Large or higher version possible to approve one booking from the specific booked dates and all other bookings on such dates in specific calendar will be canceled.
      3) you can cancel exist bookings from the Booking Listing page. Please test it at the live demos. Test it in this live demo https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com/
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-listing-video-tutorial/
      Kind Regards.
