  1. Hi,

    I am currently running some tests in Business Large Developer, and I'm trying to stop bookings from splitting across resources. For example, there are 3 resources set up in a parent-child relationship Resource A, Resource A-1 and Resource A-2.

    Resource A is booked 9th to 13th and 17th-19th.
    Resource A-1 is booked 13th to 15th
    Resource A-2 is booked 12th - 15th

    If I go to make another booking from 14th - 18th it splits the booking across resource A and A-1. What I'm looking for is for the booking to be rejected.

    Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

      Please open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in “Capacity” section and Activate this option “ Disable bookings in different booking resources”.

  2. I'm investigating syncing between airbnb and https://hartleyandroseholidays.co.uk/. It largely seems to be fine for bookings, but there's lots of issues with dates that are blocked out on airbnb but not on the website, I'm also guessing that some of the previous block outs on airbnb have been removed, booked block outs still exist on the website. I've also found instances of literally hundreds of bookings that have been imported from airbnb which are now in trash for the same dates. I need to understand what is happening and why there are multiple issues with the block outs.

    • Hello.
      Probably you have activated this option: "" at the Booking > Settings > Sync > "General" page "Trash / delete all imported bookings before new import" and set "Trash imported bookings". Please set here value "Permanently delete".

      This option will delete all previously imported bookings permanently before new import bookings.
      It's can resolve issue of updating deleted and edited events in external sources.
      It's work only, if you are using one source (.ics feed) for importing into specific booking resource!

      • Thank you, this has cleared up some of the issues. I've re-synced all of the calendars, but I'm still having issues with 5 block outs across 4 different resources. I think 2 are possibly the result of mimimum night rules on airbnb? so the blockout in these cases on airbnb looks to have caused by a booking is only possible for less than the minimum number of nights

          Booking Calendar imports only  events that  exist in the .ics feed  and that was not imported before into the Booking Calendar plugin.

          1) Firstly  please recheck  that  your .ics feed contains events for specific dates.

          You can  check  it at  the "oPlugins panel" menu page in the "Upload .ics file and show events" section  by  clicking on "Show Events (.ics)" button.

  3. Hi,
    I have purchased Booking Calendar Business Small . We had added the order id on dev site and the calender worked there. We now need to move it to live , we added the order id on live site , it worked there too.
    We copied over everything from dev site to live site, But on frontend the calender shows Error establishing a database connection below the calender and the form isnt working.
    Could you please guide

      You need to delete the version from the test server, if you are using the single site usage version, Otherwise it's possible issues after some time. You also need to inform about your old and new URLs of the live/test websites to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com

      Relative issue with database connection issue, please send the exact link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue.

  4. Hi,
    I am not sure if you received my previous comment. But I am facing a problem while pushign the calender plugin on live website. We have purchased Small Business version of the plugin for our client and it works like a charm on dev site. Today when pushing it live , i didnt find the option to remove the order id from dev site . Instead i added the order id on live site and it worked. But the calender shortcode when added on page threw 500 error indicating it cant connect to database which is strange as the website is working fine.
    Could you please advise on the above?

      1) How did you make transfer from old to new website ? Do you have this issue relative to the Booking Calendar or in general for the website ?

      You can use the another select-box with country codes or other text field for entering this field.

    We are running on the Business Small SingleSite 9.5.2 version. We are using the booking calendar for clients to book nights at one of our condos, free of charge.

    Is it possible for the calendar to show "arrival" and "departure" dates (with the actual terms) selected before visitor complete their booking online? We have a lot of mixed up bookers who book an extra day thinking they have to select their departure date.

    If they select the 10th and 11th. Could we have a text that pop up saying:

    Arrival: 10th, Departure: 12th - or something of that sorts..

    This would avoid a lot of booking dates errors.

      It's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
      You can use these dates hints in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Booking Form page in these versions:
      [check_in_date_hint] - Selected Check In date. Example:11/25/2025 [check_out_date_hint] - Selected Check Out date. Example:11/27/2025 [check_out_plus1day_hint] - Selected Check Out date. + 1 day Example:11/28/2025 [start_time_hint] - Selected Start Time. Example:10:00 [end_time_hint] - Selected End Time.         Thank you for your answer! If I do upgrade to the medium version, will I loose all my previous settings and customization after the upgrade?

        The FAQ mentions "during update process all plugin files are replacing to new. Its means that if you have edited any source files of plugin (in plugin folder), then you will be need to make this customization again after plugin update"

        Does it mean that I will have to start new with everything and complete my general setting and customization of the form fields again? All my original setting and customization will be gone?

          The general setting and customization of the form fields, emails, etc… evrything from the settings, your bookings and booking resources will be safe.

          But if you was made editing the files: CSS, php and js files , then such changes will be lost. Usually it’s can be relative custom calendar skins, etc..

  8. We are searching trying out the possibilities of this plugin. It does exactly what we need but we still need clarification on certain things.

    - Overlapping timeslot
    The problem we have right now is this. For example we have 3 timeslots: 12:00 - 12:45 / 12:15 - 13:00 / 12:45 - 13:30. If we reserve the middle one, the other 2 won't be available anymore. We still want this to be available if the second timeslot has been reserved. Can this be done in one of the PRO version with for example the capacity plugin
    - Reminders
    Is it possible to automaticly send out reminders to the people who have reserved a timeslot if the date is near.
    - Combining resources in one calendar
    We have different timeslots for different resources, can a resource be combined in to 1 calendar instad of having 2 calenders with 2 forms?

    • Hello.
      1) No, it's does not possible. All overlapping time slots will be unavailable if the booked time slot intersect with time of booked time slot.
      So in your case you can use configuration of the time slot in a wa like this "Title with any text@@24 hour time slot format" at the Booking > Settings > Booking Form page.

      Example:

      [select* rangetime multiple "Time: 12:00 - 12:45@@12:00 - 12:30" "Time: 12:15 - 13:00@@12:30 - 13:00" "Time: 12:45 - 13:30@@13:00 - 13:30"]

      But in the booking Listing page and in the emails your visitors will see these booked time slot VALUES: "12:00 - 12:30" "12:30 - 13:00" "13:00 - 13:30"

      2) We have developed new plugin - “Email Reminders”, which have similar functionality and native integration with latest versions of Booking Calendar plugin.

      You can try it. But currently we do not provide support or help with configuration with this plugin. Because of too much work and support with Booking Calendar plugin.

  9. How do I prevent same day bookings. I'd like to ensure only next day bookings are available?.

    • Hello.
      1) If you want to block the "TODAY" date in the Booking Calendar, then you can configure it at the Booking > Settings General page in "Availability" section for the option "Unavailable days from today" set value "1".

      2) In case if you do not see the booked dates, after specific booking, then check this.
      If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the "Capacity section", please be sure that you have not activated this option: "Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s)". This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.
      This option "Use pending days as available" must be unchecked, as well.

      If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
