  1. Hello! Thank you for making this plug in available, it's very useful.

I have a question regarding capacity. For my use case, I have 4 resources (they are 4 different piles of ore that can be mined with associated cost), and I can have a maximum of 5 bookings per day.

That capacity is 5 bookings per day is regardless of which resources are booked (Example- I could have 5 bookings of resource 1 OR 2 bookings of resource 1 and 3 of bookings of resource 4, and the capacity limit for the day would be reached in either scenario).

Is that something that can be accomplished with this plug in, and how? I currently have the Small Business plan but understand I'd likely need to upgrade to Large Business. I would just like to confirm that this can be done before I make the purchase.

Thank you very much in advance and please let me know if I can be more clear on explaining anything above.

    • Hello.
It’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Large or higher version. You can have the booking resource with capacity =5 for ability to receive the 5 bookings.
In the booking form you can have the selectbox, where your visitor can select “your resource”. In reality it’s just options in the selectbox. So your visitor can select one of
      4 resources as options.

Relative the Booking Calendar Business Large version.
If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity
You can test it in the live demo here https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com/
Watch video about this feature here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/availability-capacity-video-overview/
At this version possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But its possible to make booking only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only saved as data into database, but do not apply to availability logic).
Highly recommend, to check this article about configuration of capacity and availability for booking resources: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/

You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

      • Thank you for the quick and thorough response! I greatly appreciate it.

  2. Hi!
I have a customer with a restaurant, she has 3 tables inside and 4 outside. The tables inside are different setting though. 1 table 2 pers, 2 tables 4 pers. How should smth like this been setup?
Cause I don't think the selector for "amount persons" will be taken in account for capacity, capacity is per reservation as I set it up now.

    • Hello.
You need to define each table as separate booking resource. And for these booking resources define capacity.

      • I can't seem to figure it out.

The problem is that my customer has tables she can split, so she has tables like this:

        INSIDE:
        - Table of 4 ( can be split up by 2x2 )
        - Table of 2
        - Table of 4 (can not be split up )

        OUTSIDE:
        - Table of 2
        - Table of 4 ( can be split up by 2x2 )

        I tried the following (https://ibb.co/Wfj9yfM)

The issue now is that I have 3 tables inside of 4 people, which makes 12 but I can only put 10 people. If i set max to 2, its only 6 people. If I add tables of 2, (5 tables), I have to many people compares to the tables I have 🙁

  3. Hi, we have been using Business Large Developer 8.7.7 successfully for our booking system. We have just discovered that one of our resources has been booked twice for the same period. This has never happened before. All our resources are for single capacity and are showing correctly in the Resources page as SINGLE.

Could you please advise how to ensure this does not happen again?
    Many thanks
    Sharon

    • Hello.

Please recheck for any cache plugins, like “WP Super Cache”, “WP Fastest Cache” or “W3 Total Cache”. If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

Otherwise activate this option “ Checking to prevent double booking, during submitting booking” at the Booking > Settings > Form page in Advanced section.

      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you for your reply.
We don't have any cache plugins.
I've activated the option on the advanced section that you suggest. However, I don't think that would have solved the problem, as the bookings were taken more than 24 hours apart.

Do you have any other ideas why this might have happened?

        Kind regards
        Sharon

        • Hello.
Currently I have only that suggestion.
You can recheck about any cache system directly at your server. Check this with support of your hosting provider.

  4. Hi,

Is the a way I can colour code the calendar so I can differentiate peak and non peak times?

    • Hello.
By default its does not possible in the Booking Calendar. Sorry.

Please read more about customization of calendar skins here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#css

Please note,  each  calendar day  cell,  will  have own  CSS class,  if you will  apply  the different rates for these dates. For example some dates can  have CSS class like this rate_100 some like this rate_50
if the rate for some dates is 100  and for other is 50.

So  by using these CSS classes you can  specify  the different color for the days with  different cost  rates.

  5. Hi, I ordered the wrong level of calendar 2 days ago and my developer has informed me that it does not allow for the addition of items such as costs for including dog or hamper etc. Since this was an error could this please be cancelled and replaced with the 'Business medium' calendar without incurring extra cost other than the difference between the 2 versions?

    Thanks

    • Hello.
Please contact support @ wpbookingcalendar.com with your order number.
      Thank you.

  6. Hi Team

Getting rather frustrated with this product now, I have been using it for about 3 years and since I upgraded it I tend to be having endless errors coming up. Ok, I am not saying it is the product, but gee I didn't have any problems previously.

My clients are getting this error The time(s) may be booked, or already in the past! Time Zone is correct, both in Calendar and on Server (The same country so makes no odds) Everything appears to be fine, I thoroughly tested this last week when I had a different issue and now a new issue has popped up.

    Please advise.

    • However, I can do the same thing in the backend using Add Booking and I have no problems?

      • Hello.
Please send the link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue.
Also send screenshot of WordPress > Settings General page and Booking > Settings General page.
        Thank you.

  7. Which code do I have to enter in order to insert the result of a selection list into the email

    • Hello.
If you was in the booking form this selectbox:
      [select my_service “Service A” “Service B”]
Then at the “Content of booking fields data” form at the Booking > Settings > Form page you Need to use this:
      [my_service]

And only after that you can use in your email this shortcode: [my_service]

Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/
      Kind Regards.

  8. [checkbox* unique_field_name_grund default:Testgrund exclusive "Kontaktperson" "Risikogebiet" "Sonstiger Testgrund"]
I entered this in the form.
But I don't know what to enter in the email

  9. Thank You I got it.
But I have a new problem:
The user should only be able to select one option in the checkbox. But it only works in the exclusive version.
What do you need to choose only one option in the positive variant?
