I have the multi step form for bookings on the property pages on the site https://sussexandrose.co.uk/index.php/properties/grenville-house/. Step 1 the user selects their dates, at step 2, they enter their details and then click 'send' which goes through to payment. I don't want the booking to be 'sent' at this point, I just want the user to go through to the payment stage and then the booking is sent when the user pays. How do I go about this?

Booking is created before payment process in any case.
You need to activate the auto “approve / cancel bookings” option at the Booking > Settings > Payment page in Stripe or PayPal section.
Also you can activate auto cancellation of pending bookings that have no successfully paid status after a specific amount of time. You can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in the "Auto cancellation / approving" section.
So if the booking is not approved, and do not have the successfully paid status, this booking can be auto canceled after a specific amount of time.
Or you can even activate to show the "Pending bookings as available dates" - you can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.
But you need to be sure that all "good" bookings have to be approved or have successfully paid status.
Because if you are using the PayPal standard integration and your visitors is made the payment for the booking, but do not click on the "return link" on PayPal site to your site, so Booking Calendar does not know that the payment is successful, and this booking can be auto canceled with that feature.
Stripe has to auto redirect to booking page automatically.
So sometimes it's possible that the successfully paid bookings will not have this status and that's why it can be auto-canceled, if you do not approve them.
Ideally (for PayPal) you will need to activate and correctly configure the PayPal IPN system, at the Booking > Settings > Payment page and in the PayPal account. So in this case the PayPal has to send the messages directly to your booking system.
If you have activated the “auto cancellation” pending bookings that does not have successfully paid status during specific period of time, so then please recheck that you have correctly set time-zone at the WordPress > Settings > General page. Otherwise it’s possible that the time of creation of booking was already in the past and you have reached the time limit for auto cancelation of such bookings.
Also if you set to low time interval of auto cancelation, like 5 minutes and client not in the time about the payment, then it’s can be also the reason of this issue. Please increase time of auto cancelation at the Booking > Settings General page.

I am importing bookings from airbnb for all properties on the site I'm building and I've just noticed that the calendar is only showing bookings mad on airbnb and not bookings that have been made on booking.com or vrbo that are showing on the airbnb calendar

Please recheck that the .ics feeds in your VRBO and in booking.com contain some NEW bookings, that was not imported before.

I want to setup so the customer books an initial 2 hour timeslot for $150. Then they can add additional hours with each hour being $50.

And then for duration of time you can define additional cost at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page in Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
If you need to set some additional cost for the booking, depending from selected options in the select-boxes or checkboxes in your booking form, so then it’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

For example I would like to create one booking calendar on one page for a specific resource (e.g a car) where I require some specific information (e.g driving license number) and a different booking calendar för other resources (e.g. bicycle) that do no require that specific info.

No, it’s possible only in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

Otherwise Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.
The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
When customers book room night on the calendar from front end (or admin from back end), from say the 14th to 18th, the booking shows up as from 14th to 17th. If they book the next day, it shows up as a booking for the same day. It is always showing as one day earlier than the actual check out day and time. Is there a setting I am missing, or this a glitch in the program? I am using Small Business version 8.9.1
