  1. Can anyone provide some assistance?

I would like to turn this email: "A new Service Request has arrived for May 8, 2022 12:00 pm - May 8, 2022 2:00 pm." Into this email via shortcode "A new Service Request has arrived for May 8, 2022 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm."

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    RK

    • Hello.
It's possible to configure such dates, in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions. You need to use instead of this shortcode [dates] these shortcodes: [check_in_only_date], [rangetime]
If in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page, you was used the "rangetime" shortcode for the time slot selection.
      Kind Regards.

  2. Hi I just recently upgraded my free version to small business version so I would be able to edit bookings. Bit I still don't seem to be able to do it when I press edit, it goes back to a booking page and I have to enter in all their details again. I had a paid version a few years ago and it worked fine?

    • Hello.
      1) Recheck that you have installed/activated the Booking Calendar Business Small version and the Booking Calendar Free version was deactivated relative to this instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/upgrade-from-free-to-paid-version/

      2) Please be sure that you have correctly configured the booking form and relative shortcodes in the "Content of booking fields data" form at the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/

Otherwise if you have some old booking, and you was changed form fields at the Booking > Settings > Form page, then old booking form fields can be not showing in the new fields, because you are having new form fields with new names. I can suggest that you are having this issue.

      3) You can edit the existing bookings, by clicking on edit button at the booking Listing page and then edit booking in Booking > Add booking page. Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/add-new-booking-admin-video-tutorial/

Please make new test booking at front-end side, and then try to edit this booking from Booking Listing page, just for retesting that it's working with new bookings. Then test other situations.
      Kind Regards.

  3. Hello,

I have 2 problems with the business medium version of the plugin.

    1) Can we set 2 differents minimum days for 2 different ressources ? For example my client have an appartment which the minimum to rent it is 2 nigths and a house which the minimum is 6 nigths. I succeed to respect the minimum of 2 nigths with the dynamic setting of the mouse to select on the calendar but it applies also on the house and I don't find a solution to have either 2 or 6 nigths minimum.

    2) I have a bug on valuation days cost. I want to apply a reduction of 10% for a rental stay superior of 7 nigths. I did like in the video "Valuation days cost (discounts for long term stay or weekly costs) – video overview" and I have some strange bug... The 10% off is applied for 7 nigths rental stay but the price of a rental stay of 8 nigths is the same as for 7 nigths... How can I fix this ?

Thanks in advance and I hope you will help me 🙂

    • Hello.
      1) It’s possible at the different pages. If you need to configure the different type of days selection in calendars at the different pages, then you can make it via JavaScript variables before Booking Calendar shortcodes. Please check more about this configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/advanced-javascript-for-the-booking-shortcodes/

      2) You need to configure it in a way like this:
Together 7 days = 90% from cost of Al days From 8 to 99 days = 90% for each selected day

Otherwise Please open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and Activate this option “ Show debug cost info” at the Payment Options section. After this you can see your cost info from the front-end side at your website for better understanding about costs calculations.
      Kind Regards.

      • Perfect !!! 😀

My 2 problems are now solved, thank you very much ! 🙂

I will buy a 5 websites licence very soon to install it on my futur clients websites 😉

  4. Hello,

I'm not sure I've got the days / nights setting right on the site. If I use the calendar to select what would be the arrival day and departure day I think the booking system is including both the start and end date to calculate the cost. So for example on the page https://sussexandrose.co.uk/index.php/properties/the-rectory/ if I select the 24th June to the 1st July. This should be 7 nights, but the cost is being calculated as 8 days. Please advise how I change this.

    • Hello.
Please open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and set cost per 1 night, instead of cost per 1 day.
      Kind Regards.

  5. Hello,

I have problem with translation of booking resources in DE version of the website: https://www.alessandria.cz/de/unterkunft-buchen/

It seems like there is a restriction of number of letters in the input ("Resource Name" - field). Booking => Resources

Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance

    VD

    • Hello.
The booking resource names have the restriction in 200 symbols in the database.
Currently it's does not possible to change it.
      Kind Regards.

  6. Booking Calendar Business Medium SingleSite 8.7.5

    Hello,

I would like to get help with some small issues in WP Booking Calandar.

1 – During the validation of a reservation, it sometimes happens (randomly) that the customer never receives a confirmation email despite his reservation being well recorded and the payment being validated in Stripe.

2 – When paying for a reservation, it happened that the payment was validated in Stripe but that the reservation ended up in the trash. It also happened 1 time that the payment was validated but no reservation was present in Booking Calandar.
Is this problem related to the update of the stripe library in version 8.7.9?

3 – Validation of the form: Captcha. On mobile, the captcha is not visible and the word "Captcha" can be seen instead. It is necessary to type a random captcha and apply for the captcha to become visible.
Is this problem related to the 8.7.7 update? : To fix. Issue of not showing captcha on some servers with Apache 2.4 or newer versions. (8.7.7.5)

4 – The “Trash/Reject” email option is validated but no email is sent. When deleting a reservation automatically (15 min) when a reservation is not completed by the customer, no email is sent to indicate that the reservation is canceled. Same situation when moving a reservation to the trash.

    Thanks for your help.

    • Hello.
      1) Please note, Booking Calendar uses standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

Most probably you need to check point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

      2) Try to update your version to the latest update 9.1.1
You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

      3) Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      4) Check point #1
      Kind Regards.

      • Hello,

Thank you very much for your clear and precise answers. I've done step #1 #2 #3

#1, I'm using "Other SMTP" with connecting to my mail server. Everything works well. This will allow in particular to apply the SPF to make my emails legitimate to the receiving servers and prevent my emails from going to spam.

#2, I bought the 9.1.1 update. I will see in time if the problem is gone. #3. The problem is solved. I'm using WP Rocket Cache and by avoiding the booking page cache, the captcha now displays normally on mobile.

#4. Regarding sending email, it works well if I check the "Email Alerts" box in the calendar layout. However if I refresh the page, the box does not stay checked.
I enabled the option "Check this box to activate auto-cancellation for pending, unpaid bookings." and also "Check this box to send cancellation email for this resource." ” but despite these 2 options activated, when a reservation is not finished after 15 min, the reservation goes into Trash / Rejection but no email is sent to the customer. I'm not sure I fully understand how it works and if I forgot another option to check.

        Thank you for your help.

        • Hello.
You can activate the “auto cancellation” pending bookings that do not have successfully paid status during a specific period of time. You can activate it at  the Booking > Settings General page  in the auto cancellation / approval  section. So  such  bookings will  be moved to  trash,  if they  will  not be paid.

Also please note. Be sure that you have correctly set time-zone at the WordPress > Settings > General page. Otherwise it’s possible that the time of creation of booking was already in the past and you have reached the time limit for auto cancelation of such bookings. Also if you set a low time interval of auto cancelation, like 5 minutes then the client can not be in the time about the payment. Please increase the time of auto cancelation at the Booking > Settings General page.

If you are using the PayPal standard integration and your visitors is made the payment for the booking, but do not click on the "return link" on PayPal site to your site, so Booking Calendar do not know that the payment is successful - you will see unknown payment status, and this booking can be auto canceled with that feature.  Stripe has to auto redirect to the booking page automatically.

So sometimes it's possible that the successfully paid bookings will not have this status and that's why it can be auto-canceled, if you do not approve them.
Ideally (for PayPal) you will need to activate and correctly configure the PayPal IPN system, at the Booking > Settings > Payment page and in the PayPal account. So in this case PayPal has to send the messages directly to your booking system.

The Auto cancelation starts work when someone open the front end side of your website.
Please open the page with your booking form, and then check your booking at the Booking Listing page, relative Auto cancelation.

Please note, auto-cancelation can execute every  1 hour (or other period),  if you have configured CRON at  your website or if some visitor is visited your website,  and cancelation  time exceed that  specific "auto  cancelation " time duration from  last  cancelation .

If nobody  visit website during "1 hour" (or other period of time),  so  system  just  does not start script for initializing  checking about  (auto  cancellation,  etc... ) some bookings. In this case,  you need to  configure CRON script at your server. Currently  its working with  pseudo-cron functionality:

WordPress Cron is what many people refer to as a “pseudo-cron system.” The difference is in how UNIX cron and WordPress Cron take action. A typical UNIX cron system runs in this order:

          - A time tied to an action occurs.
          - Cron runs the action tied to that time.

With WordPress Cron, it works a little differently:

          - A visitor comes to any page on your WordPress website.
          - WordPress Cron checks each cron event to see whether the scheduled time has passed.
          - If the scheduled time for that event has passed, then WordPress Cron executes any actions tied to that event.

Please check more here : https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/

  8. Hello,

I have a conflict between my header and the calendar of Booking calendar. I'm seeing the numbers of the calendar on my header. I tried to solve this with increasing the z-index number of my header but it doesn't work and I'm still seing all the numbers of the calendar on my header when my header is overlapping the calendar...

Thanks in advance and I hope you will help me

  9. Is their any way to integrate the bookings with Xero accounting software, so when a booking is made it will automatically feed and raise an invoice with Xero?

    • Hello.
Unfortunately Booking Calendar does not support such integrations. Sorry.
      Kind Regards.

  10. Hello,

I have an issue with the synchronisation between Booking Calendar and Airbnb.

I did as explain in the documentation and I linked Booking Calendar with Airbnb and Airbnb with Booking Calendar and it's working well all my Airbnb bookings are imported on Booking Calendar. But the problem is that after few minutes or hours after the synchronisation, there are some new bookings imported from Airbnb to Booking Calendar which appears and which are the exact copy of existing bookings. For example I must have 33 imported bookings from Airbnb and in few hours after synchronisation yesterday I had 84 bookings from Airbnb because of this issue of duplicates bookings which appears. I don't understand why it's doing that...

    I hope you have a solution 🙂

    • Hello.
Please open the Booking > Settings > Sync > "General" page and be sure that this option "Force import" was unchecked in the Advanced section .
      Kind Regards.

      • Yes it was already unchecked. This morning I deleted all the bookings on Booking Calendar and I did the sync again. It imported my 33 Airbnb bookings and until now it create just 1 copy of an existing booking so I hope it will stay like this but I don't understand why it create these copy...

        • The problem is still here. I have now 39 bookings which 6 of them are copy of existing bookings. For some of them the start day of the booking is one day after the start day of the existing booking so it's very strange.

I have now fill the time zone on settings > sync of Booking Calendar because may because I'm thinking it can come from this. I deleted all the bookings all the bookings again and imported again from Airbnb.
