Hello,
I have a problem with updating the calendar of my ressources in the frontend when adding a reservation in the backend.
My client requests to only display the availability calendar on his site. Bookings are done in the backend. When adding a new reservation in the backend, it is not automatically updated in the frontend. I have to go on the page where the calendar is displayed and use the "update" button in order to display the updated calendar.
As each calendar figures on three different pages (site is translated in 3 languages), I have to update three pages every time I add a new reservation in the backend. This is quite time consuming. Is there anything I am missing? How can I have changes in the backend automatically display on the site?
Please advise.
Thanks
Hello.
It’s seems like cache issue at your website.
If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the “Advanced section”, please be sure that you have not activated this option: “Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):”. This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.
Also this option “Use pending days as available” must be unchecked, as well. It’s located at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.
If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like “WP Super Cache” or “W3 Total Cache”. If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
Hello,
It was the cache plugin. Adding exception to the pages worked out. Thanks for your help!

Hello.
Great thank you, for let me know.
Kind Regards.
Hello,
I am having an issue with double booking.
I have the setting turned on "Checking to prevent double booking, during submitting booking "
We only want one booking per day. That is working as expected. With one exception.
We had a double booking for the same day.
In testing I have noticed if I am logged out of the admin panel and submit a booking, the day is NOT marked pending.
If I login to the admin and go to the booking calendar, the day IS marked pending.
It is possible for a 2nd customer to come along and submit a booking for the same day.
I notice the day will be marked pending after some time. There is no caching plugin.
This as you can imagine is causing issues. Can you offer any help?

Hello.
It’s really seems like cache issue.
1) Probably, its because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason of this issue.
2) Otherwise check your server configuration about any cache tool at the server directly.
Kind Regards.
Hello,
I believe we have resolved this issue.
Our hosting company had a cache on the server. I have disabled the cache.
Now when testing the form on the public side of the website a date is set to pending upon submission of the form.
Thank you,
Kim
Great. Thank you.
Is there a way to remove references to "booking cost"
I need to make bookings BUT do not want any reference to cost or payment methods.
Hello.
In the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions does not possible to remove all elements that is relative to booking costs and payments.
But you can deactivate the payment gateways at the Booking > Settings > Payment page for do not show payment forms after booking process at the front-end side of your website.
Kind Regards.
There is no more option "don't send email" when I use the filters to accept bookings.
That option is only available when I am in the calendar view, where I can deselect "send email" and then open one appointment to accept.
Even if I deselect the option "send email" first and then go to the action-filters, it will send the emails out
Hello.
You can deactivate "Sending emails" option at the new "User Options" tab at the Booking Listing page in the toolbar.
Kind Regards.
I'm trying to add some styling to the e-mails sent to the client. I want to add the compny logo as a minimum, but I'd also like to be able to add more property specific info (i.e. image) and the more booking specific info such as amount paid, amount still to pay, payment due date.
I'd also like to see if it's possible to have an option for users to joining the mailing list (klaviyo) when they book
Hello.
1) You can customize the email template in specific template files at the ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder}/core/any/emails_tpl folder.
Please check more about this at the Booking > Settings > Emails page in Email styles section.
You can customize it relative to styles and background images (logos) in the emails.
Disclaimer. Unfortunately we can not start, right now, some personal customization or custom development, because we have almost no free time.
Check more about, what support we are providing here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
Thank you for understanding.
Please note, if you modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guarantee the correct work of the plugin and do not support it.
2) You can use the same shortcodes ( for the costs or another fields ) from the "Content of booking fields data" form at the Booking > Settings > Form page inside of the emails at the Booking > Settings > Emails page, as well.
So if you are using the shortcode [cost_hint] at the Booking > Settings > Form page, then you can use it at the Booking > Settings > Emails page, as well.
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
It's does not possible for users to joining the mailing list. Sorry.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for your reply.
I've managed to make some changes.
A few more questions;
- I've used [bookingtype] which populates the property name, is it possible to bring through the property details (i.e. address, featured image etc) on to the e-mail?
We've got an option for the user to pay a deposit, is it possible for the e-mail to show total amount (in my case [cost_hint]) and then how much they've paid at this stage, is there a shortcode for this?
Hello.
1) You can use only shortcodes that you had been used at the “Content of booking fields data” form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Some other shortcodes you can find at the help section of emails at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.
2) Balance due, possible to show if you had used this shortcode [balance_hint] at the form fields at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Kind Regards.
What I want to show on the payment page is the total booking cost, which would be split as costs for nights, cost for pets, service fee, total and then show the deposit amount seperatly and the allow for the user to choose to pay either the deposit of balance in full
Is this possible, how do I go about it?
Hello.
Here is shortcodes that you can use:
[cost_hint] - Full cost of the booking.
[original_cost_hint] - Cost of the booking for the selected dates only.
[additional_cost_hint] - Additional cost, which depends on the fields selection in the form.
[deposit_hint] - The deposit cost of the booking.
[balance_hint] - Balance cost of the booking - difference between deposit and full cost.
Relative costs that you configured at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page.
Tip & Trick. You can show cost hints separately for the each items, that have additional cost at Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page. For example, if you have configured additional cost for my_tax option at Advanced cost page, then in booking form you can use this shortcode [my_tax_hint] to show additional cost of this specific option. Add "_hint" term to name of shortcode for creation hint shortcode.
Additionally, you can activate this option: “ Show deposit and total booking cost together” at the Booking > Settings > Payment page. Please note it’s will not work for Stripe.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for your reply, although I don't feel like I'm making much progress.
Hello.
For ability to use such shortcodes in the summary at the Booking > Settings > Payment page, you need to use these shortcodes at the Booking > Settings > Form page, firstly.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for your help, I feel like I'm making some progress now.
On the confirmation e-mail how can I show what the person has paid? I can show what the deposit could be or the balance, but I can't see any shortcode to show exactly what they have paid?
Hello.
Curently available only these shortcodes:
[cost_hint] - Full cost of the booking.
[original_cost_hint] - Cost of the booking for the selected dates only.
[additional_cost_hint] - Additional cost, which depends on the fields selection in the form.
[deposit_hint] - The deposit cost of the booking.
[balance_hint] - Balance cost of the booking - difference between deposit and full cost.
If you activated to show both deposit and Total cost for the users, then it’s does not possible to know in the shortcode in emails if visitor paid full sum or deposit. You can check it only at the email from PayPal or Stripe, etc…
Kind Regards.

Hello,
We have the Business Large version. I was wondering if there is an option to add a waiting list if reservations are full? We have a set capacity but often get cancellations. Would be nice to offer an option to be added to a wait list. Is this something that can be done within the plugin?
Thanks,
Hello.
In actual version updates, there is no such option.
But in the Booking Calendar versions, you can activate this option "Use pending days as available", at the Booking > Settings General page in "Advanced" section.
I will show the pending days as available in calendars, until you do not approve the booking. So you can receive as many bookings as you need.
Please note, this option does not relative to the capacity of booking resource.
