I currently have the Small Business version of the plugin. Am I able to customize the Payment Form under the Field Settings tab? When I select Payment Form under "Standard Form" all the code remains the same across all forms? A bit confused.
Hello.
I am not clearly understood your question.
You can customize the payment form at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.
At the Booking > Settings > Fields page you can customize the booking form and fields, which are showing in the Booking Listing page and in the email templates.
Under Bookings > Settings > Field Tab
There's a drop down box, Standard Form, 2 Column, Wizard, and Payment Form.
When I select a form under that drop down box, and add content, that added content is visible on all forms (Standard, 2 Column, Wizard, etc.) What's the purpose of these different forms if all the content is the same on them?
Hello.
In the second selectbox, which you are mentioned, you can select the template of the booking form, which you can insert into the actual booking form (which you can select at first selectbox) by clicking on the button at right side of that select box.
At the first selectbox above the forms you can select the standard or custom booking form ( you are need to create it before by clicking on create button).
hello,
i'm sorry but i don't understand as well.
Under Bookings > Settings > Field Tab (in the FIELD SETTING page) there is a dropdown box (Standard, 2 Columns, Wizard, Payment Form) but the content is always the same even if I change the content in only one form.
ex. if I have a content A in Standard Form and then I select Payment Form from that dropdown box, I find the same content A. Then I can change content A to content B, so I should find a content A under Standard form, and a content B under Payment Form. Unluckily I find no differences in content A and content B.
Why?
Hello,
Its the different "standard templates" of the booking form fields customization.
You are need to select one of the options (for example "Payment form") and then click at the "Reset" button at the right side.
If you click on "Both" button its will reset the "Booking form" and "Content of booking fields" forms.
ok, I did as you wrote and I lost my customization!
Maybe I didn't understand how to use templates. Please, could you tell me how to insert booking forms with different templates? Because I would like to show on my website booking page a booking form with a 2 columns (form next to calendar)
Hello.
Because inside of that "select box" is selection of the templates for the booking forms, so after selection of the template and click on the "Reset" or "Both" button its will be reset your booking form customization to the default booking form, which you are selected in the selectbox. But the new changes will not saved into the DB, until you not click on the "Save" settings button. Thats how its works.
If you select the "2 Columns (form next to calendar)" template and click at the "Reset" button, so its will replace your current booking form customization to the booking form with 2 columns. After this you are need to click at the Save button and this form will be saved into the DB. Now you can test it at the client side.
hello,
thank you.
The confusion borns because when you change template, click "reset" and then save it, although you choose a different template, everytime appears the name "standard form" in that select box, even if the content is the same I saved it (right).
Is it possible to insert different booking forms based on different templates?
I'd like to have a standard booking form in the booking page and to have a payment booking form in the payment page
Hello.
At the Business Medium and Business Large versions are possible to have several custom booking forms.
Please check how its look at this page.
Please read the Booking Calendar version overview here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/versions-overview/
PS. That selectbox is chnaged to the "standard" form, after reloading of the page because you can configure (change) the previously inserted "payment" form and the form template will not be equal to your form, thats why there is no reason to set in the selectbox active of the specific option. But probably we are need to add some first option, like "Select your form template:" which will not insert any of the email templates and just show that text.
Hello,
i would like to purchase your product for my client, we will build a platform where you can rent Villas for holidays. I would like to know if from your plugin is possible to set the days when the villa is available or not. Il surfing in the demo but i'm not able to find it.
Thank you very much
L.
Hello.
Its possible at the Business Medium, Business Large (and MultiUser) versions.
You can define dates, which you want to make unavailable, at the Booking > Settings > Filters page as a season filter.
Than at the Booking > Resources > Availability page you can set these dates as unavailable for the specific booking resource(s).
You can test this at live demos of those versions at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ .
I am trying to set up a page for visitors to change reservations. I have followed the instructions on the FAQ page, but this still does not work. On my change reservation page I get the following message "You do not set any parameters for booking editing".
Hello,
You are need to open the "edit link" from the email, which you are received (after new reservation or other action), and not open the direct link to the page, where you are set [bookingedit] shortcode.
Please reread the instruction in the FAQ according the editing of the bookings.
Hello,
I noticed on the page that displays my bookings, all the drop down boxes for applying filters get cut off in MAC Firefox and Chrome. The bottom of the box is missing and it's not possible to access all the options.
Thanks
Hello,
What resolution at your screen ?
Can you recheck your page for the any javaScript errors ?
Please open the general booking settings page, expand the "advanced JavaScript library link at the main section and recheck that you are not checked checkboxes. You are need to not disable the loading of the bootstrap libraries.
Also please try to deactivate one by one your actual plugins and recheck if its fix issue or not. If its will not help, please try to deactivate your actual theme and activate the default one and then check it again. Just need to find the reason of that issue.
Hmm, now that there some reservations in there it seems to have resolved. I think it may only happen when there aren't any reservations in there.
It's have to work in both variants.
Probably you was not cleared the browser cache and it's was conflict with old version or some other plugin.
I'm having a problem with Auto Cancellation. I recently upgrade to version 4.1.2. I have the auto cancellation selected and it supposed to delete bookings that are pending and not paid for. But it doesn't delete the bookings as it is supposed to.
I saw the remedy listed in your faq, editing biz_s.php, however the new version has that already set correctly.
Any ideas why this isn't working?
I upgraded from 4.0.2 to 4.1.2 recently.
Hello,
What time you are set for the auto cancellation feature ? And when the reservation was done, which have to be canceled ?
Can you open firstly the booking form at the client side of your site (in this moment the reservations, if such exist, have to be canceled), and then recheck, if the bookings are canceled, at the admin panel.
Thanks for your quick reply. Looks like it was user error. I had my timezone set incorrectly on WordPress. So the reservation was being made 6 hours in the future, so of course it wasn't deleting it until 1 hour past that time, local time.
Hello,
Just discovered an oddity in the reported check-out times.
We're using the plugin to manage hotel bookings. Generally (on hotel booking sites), the last date selected counts as a full night, with check-out on the following (unselected) day.
Say someone selects April 4 through to 6. This would indicate staying all 3 nights (4th, 5th & 6th), and leaving on the morning of the 7th.
Now if I change the "setting cost" to "per day" in the resource management, costs are calculated correctly for the describe booking.
The problem comes with the check-out date as reported in emails, and before payment. Using the dates above, the check-out date is said to be April 6th, instead of the 7th. What can be done to fix this? I've tried changing the "setting cost" to per day, but that only changes the pricing calculation and not date descriptions.
Thanks!
Jylan
Hello,
The booking calendar is mark only selected days, which have to be booked, its do not extend the last night to the next day, whaich was not selected. So in your system you are need to be sure that the visitors are select all days (including the check out date) for the reservation. If you are need to have the lower cost (per night), do not calculate one selected date, so then you can set the cost per night at the General Booking Settings page, or leave the cost per day and configure the "Valuation days cost" at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page, like this:
"For 2nd day = 0 USD for the specific date"
I will add this feature with not selections of the last day but marking it as checkout date for the booking, into the TODO list fir the future upadates.
hi! useful and amazing plugin! I bought business medium version, but I don't find any way to change the currency. I'd like to use € instead of USD, as my customers are all from European Area. is it possibile? thanks
Hello.
Yes its possible.
You can change the currency at the Booking > Settings > Payment page at the each section of the payment systems.
everything's ok, thanks!!!
again, congratulations for this wonderful plugin 😉
Ok good to know that everything is Ok.
Kind regards.
Hello!
Congratulations for the plugin is very cool. 🙂 Before buying it i have some questions.
My client will rent villas, he will need a dedicated calendar for each villa, is it possible?
We will need to translate the website in English/french and Arabic, will be possible? I will use a plugin like WPML. Every content regarding your pluging will be translated in the front-end?
thank you very much
Camilla
Hello.
1) The possibility to have the different calendars for the different properties is available at the any paid versions of the Booking Calendar.
You can create the booking resources for the each of your properties at the Booking > Resources page, and then insert the booking form for the specific booking resources into your pages or posts. Please read more how to insert and configure the booking shortcode into the post or page here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
2) Right now the Booking Calendar is tested and support the WPML plugin for the dynamic translation. Other translation plugins are not tested yet.
The booking calendar is support changing the interface based on locale of the site. So if the other translation plugin is support dynamic changing of site locale, it's have to work. It's was tested with WPML. Inside of that plugin you can define the language of the admin panel different from English, as you can make it inside of the config.php file from the root of your WordPress directory.
The Booking Calendar is use the active locale of the site for the activation of the specific language from the ../booking/languages/ folder.
For activating the specific translation you have to activate the locale at the config.php file at root of your WordPress installation.
At the client booking form, you can use the special shortcodes for the having Booking form in several languages.
You can configure the several form or email templates in different languages, using this shortcode:
[lang=LOCALE] - (start new translation section, where LOCALE - locale of translation)
Example #1: [lang=fr_FR] - start French tranlation section
Example #2: "Thank you for your reservation.[lang=fr_FR]Je vous remercie de votre réservation." - English and French translation of some message
So you can customize the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.
I just bought and installed the script. Whenever i do an action, I get this error https://www.dropbox.com/s/kp7jarhyzehzrkq/error.png?m
I tried to look in the support forum for error 404, but nothing found.
I tried to reïnstall the script : no solution
I update the wordpress to latest version : no result.
I kept my data from my free version...
Help 🙂
Dieter
Hello,
what version of the booking Calendar do you use now?
Please try to install the new version of the booking calendar into the same folder where was the free version - its mean into the folder "booking".
Please recheck that the permission of the folder and files is set as 755 (please read more about it here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/booking-not-possible-unlimited-request/ )
If the issue is still exist.
Do you use SSL ? What exactly link in URL, when you are received that issue ? Did you changed the permalink structure of the site ?
Hello, Yes, I changed the wordpress files locations to the root of my website by changing some settings, i read about this on a forum : 1. changed index.php file :
2. And change the website adres in wordpress settings page.
You think this problem can be solved with keeping these settings?
THanks,
Dieter
Hello,
I am not clearly understood what exactly changes you are made. But its seem the reason of that issue can be in that changes. Can you rollback that changes to recheck is the reason of that issue in that changes, and if its true, can you send the screenshots or more detail description about that changes ?
thank you.
Indeed, if you change the WP folder after installation of the script, the script won't be working.
I will reinstall my total WordPress script, but which files should I back-up from your booking script to put the data (from the free version) back after reïnstallation of the booking script?
Thanks,
Dieter
Hello.
If you was not modified any files, so then you can make update using one of the instructions at the top of help page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/
If you was modified some files of the plugin, so then you are need save that modifications, and after update implement it again.
Hi,
Thanks for reply. I am about to delete all the wordpress files and make a total new page.
Is there any way to download the data of the bookings and upload it again when the script is installed?
Any folder where the data is kept?
Thanks,
Dieter
Hello.
All bookings data and settings configuration of the plugin are saved into the db. It's tables which are start of "booking" term. Also some settings are saved into the wp_option table, there all option with names, what are start of "booking" term, are also belong to the booking calendar plugin.
If you will delete the db so then you will need to save that data.
If you will just reinstall without deletion db so then the data will be saved. Just be sure, if you will deactivate the booking calendar that the "delete booking data during uninstall" option box was unchecked at the general booking settings page.
Hi there,
Now I am using the booking system link to the Paypal, but I can't find how to modify the price in the page Booking-->Settings-->Payments , if I change the Resource of the cost , it also didn't change the price on the Paypal . Please give me a hand.
Thanks a lot
Hello
If you are want to change the cos of the exist booking, so then you can make it at the Booking Listing page, by changing the cost at the right side of each booking.
If you are want to change the rule, of how cost is calculated for the specific resources, so then you can change it at the Booking > Resources page (in the Business Medium and higher versions at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page).
Kind regards.
But I have changed the price in the Booking-->Resource-->Cost and Rates, but the payment page didn't change at all. The Paypal also display the old price. All the price I have change in the Booking-->Resource but why the Paypal still display the old price. I am confused about it!!!
Hello.
1) Please recheck that you do not use any cache plugins or cache software. If you are are use it, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking calendar.
2) If you are using the Business Medium or higher version, please recheck at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page that you are not set some rate (by clicking "Rate" button) or valuations days (by clicking "Valuation days" button ) for your booking resources. Because these cost settings have the higher priority then the usual cost for the booking resource.
3) If you are still will have the issue, please send the screenshot of your cost settings (usual/rates/valuation days) at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page and link to the page with that booking form, where this issue is exist to this email support @ wpbookingcalendar.com. So then I will recheck it more detail.

Please read more how to insert and configure the booking shortcode into the post or page here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/
Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/

So you can customize the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.
So for example for the 2 languages: English and French you are need to have something like this:

Hello,
what version of the booking Calendar do you use now?
Please try to install the new version of the booking calendar into the same folder where was the free version - its mean into the folder "booking".
Please recheck that the permission of the folder and files is set as 755 (please read more about it here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/booking-not-possible-unlimited-request/ )
If the issue is still exist.
Do you use SSL ? What exactly link in URL, when you are received that issue ? Did you changed the permalink structure of the site ?
Hello,
Yes, I changed the wordpress files locations to the root of my website by changing some settings, i read about this on a forum :
1. changed index.php file :
require('./wp-blog-header.php'); <strong>in</strong> require('./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php');
2. And change the website adres in wordpress settings page.
You think this problem can be solved with keeping these settings?
THanks,

Hello,
I am not clearly understood what exactly changes you are made.
