    first sorry for my English but I'm French...

    Thank you for your plugin.

    My problem is that it's not possible to fill a part of booking-form in front office with IE and Firefox.
    More exactly, it doesn't work with : Name (#1) / First Name (#2) / Email / Phone (#3)
    But it's ok with : Number list / Text zone

    All is working with Chrome !

    I have another question. I have a villa rental company and on my website, I want to allow users to be able to search availability of all villas on.

    -Does wpbookingcalendar.com have a search facility in it so that when a user selects dates, it will show all villas available for those dates?
    -Or does it provide a widget to be put on each villa page individually so you have to go into each villa to see if it is available

    Regarding Email Templates: From what I can see, the email templates are setup for a website that allows automatic booking through the website but we would want users to email/call us, and then we make the booking. Could we configure these email templates in a different way and have different email types and texts for different things and set them up to send them manually or automatically when we wanted?

      You can activate and configure email templates only for the specific actions, like: "New booking", "Approvement of booking", "Decline of booking", "Sending of payment request", "Modification of booking".
      Other emails for the other actions or manual sending of emails for some other actions from Booking Calendar is not supporting in the actual versions.

            o When I fill in the “booking form” as a user on the Client side, I can see it comes back with a “Pay Now” option but I don’t want users to be able to book automatically online like this - Can the “booking form” be an “Enquiry Form” so that we can then get back to users via email or phone about their enquiry and then put the booking on the system ourselves?

            o Does the “booking form” change something in the status of bookings or how available dates are displayed?

            o How does the “booking form” relate to the “Emails”?

              1) Yes, the search results, show only for the posts, where you inserted the booking forms. Please check also this troubleshooting instruction about showing search results: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-search-results/
              2) I do not sure that understanding, that exactly you mean. "Booking form" its calendar and form fields. Visitors of your website can select the date(s) in calendar, fill the booking form and submit the booking. Please test it in the live demos how its works. You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/
              3) No, its does not possible with Booking Calendar. The workflow logic here is different. Visitor need to select the date(s) for submitting the booking. In your case you can use any "Contact form" for sending booking request by email to you. Only after this, you will be need manually enter this booking details to the booking system at the Booking > Add booking page in your admin panel.
              4) After visitor submit the booking, these dates become unavailable in the calendar for other visitors, and have "pending status". You can approve this booking, to change the status of the booking from the pending to the approved. Or delete this booking.
              5) Booking Calendar send email to administrator and visitor who made the booking (visitor enter his email in the booking form), on specific actions, like "New booking" creation, approval of booking, decline of booking, etc...

                If I use my own contact form does that mean:
                1) We can set it up so the "submit booking form fields" do not show on our website and the cannot select dates on the calendar & book? And it wouldn't come back with the "Book/Pay now"
                2) Users will still be able to see the availability calendar for each villa?
                3) Users will still be able to see the price per night on the calendar if they hover over a specific date?
                3) Users will still be able to search on availability and other parameters for available villas?
                4) Would there still be a "Book now" button on the listing?
                5) Do the Email Templates only work if the user has submitted the booking form fields?

                  1) Please note, if you will use some external contact form (like "Contact Fomr 7" or other), its means that Booking Calendar will have no any relation to this submited data. And you will be manually enter all this data at the Booking > Add booking page for making new booking.

                  Inside of the pages, where you need to show availability you can insert the "availability calendars" without booking forms, so visitors just can view availability and can not submit new booking through using booking form, just because you do not insrted it. I recommend you to download the Booking Calendar Free version from here: and to test it, for checking how its works: https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking/
                  2) Yes if you insert the "availability calendars" for the each of you booking resources into the different resources, you visitors can see availability. Please check point #1 from this comment.
                  3) Yes, they can see the cost per day, when they mouseover specific day.
                  4) No, visitors can not make search , because searching possible only for the pages, where you inserted booking forms, not the availability calendars.
                  5) I do not sure about "book now" button. Did you mean buttons in the search results during searching availability, if yes, then please check point #4. If you mean "Book now" button in the booking form, then you will not have it, because you do not have the booking forms at the front-end only availability calendars. You can add this "Book now" button as link to some page(s), which will not depend form the "Booking Calendar" plugin.
                  6) Yes, its will work only in case if its submitting through the booking form of "Booking Calendar". If you will use some other plugin for submitting data (please check point #1), then please check functionality of that "Contact form" plugin relative to sending emails.

                      2) You can deactivate all payment gateways at the Booking > Settings > Payments page.
                      2) you can reconfigure booking form fields and "Send" button title at the Booking > Settings > Fields page. Please use shortcode generator at the right side of that page for fast and correct creation booking form fields shortcodes.

      You can add this info to the page or post, where you inserted shortcode for the booking calendar. So its means that you can add pictures and descriptions just using standard WordPress functionality and not the Booking Calendar.

          Please note, Booking Calendar is plugin that installed on your website and all booking data is stored at your website in your DB.

        • Hiya, From our conversation last week you said that villa text and pictures would be held on my website..If a user did a search to see what villas are available, how would the list of available villas be presented? Would the listing show a picture? Where would it take this picture from? Thanks SL

            You need to set the picture as featured picture to specific post (if your theme support it), then booking calendar get this featured picture and "excerpt" to show description in the search results.

  5. I am using the Google Calendar Sync feature that is available in the plugin. I have linked my booking calendar to my Google calendar exactly like the instruction say to do so, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working how I thought it would.

    I am trying to get all the booked days that have been approved to show up inside my client's Google Calendar. As it is currently, anything I put in the Google Calendar shows up on the plugin's calendar on my clients website. I don't need this. It's basically working backwards. I want the capability to export this data into a Google Calendar. I'm not sure why it works one way but not the other. Am I doing something wrong?

    Any help is appreciated.

    • Hello.
      Right now Booking Calendar support only import the events from the Google Calendar to the Booking Calendar plugin. Its does not support the exporting of the bookings to the Google calendar, yet.
      If you open the Settings page, you can see that there settings only for the importing of Google Calendar events. The export of bookings to the Google calendar will be support in some future updates.

          • Thanks for the quick response. I believe I may have found a temporary solution but I have one additional question.

            When I choose to Export the entire bookings list as a CSV file, the items in the CSV file are actually separated by a semi-colon rather than a comma. Outlook only imports comma separated values into calendars (for field mapping reasons).

            My question is...

            Is there a way I can change the separator from a semicolon to a comma?

    Do you remember this suggestion?
    After booking, visitors type their name and phone number on the website-> booking status shows (so they can know even who did not received the mail for some reasons)
    1. You told me this is on your to do list. Can i ask when? What version do you think this function would be included?

    Since paypal does not support my country, i have to develop payment system with one of my country's PG company.
    But i am not a programmer so i have to give your plugin source to some Agency.
    2. Is it okay? I was wondering what if they duplicate your plugin?
    And do you know how much is reasonable price of making payment gateway source of your plugin? They said it would cost at least $8000. Isn't this too much for making source with given API?

      1) Its still in our todo list. Unfortunately, right now I can not say about the times of implementation of this feature or about the version, because we are having also many other cool features to implement. Hope its will be soon.

      2) Usually its TOO much, if its only about the creation file for connection to the payment gateway that supporting in your country.
      But I can not say about the amount of cost for such payment integration.
      You can provide only 2 files for creation connection to the payment gateway that supporting in your country (not the full plugin folder).
      ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/payments/index.php and ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/payments/paypal.php
      So if you want to make the integrations of your payment system by yourself, so you will be able to check how is integrated the Payment system (on the example) of the PayPal system at this file:../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php . You will be need to create your file with similar structure. Also you are need to include the calling of your file into this file: ../booking/inc/payments/index.php in the same way, as it was done for the other payment systems.

      Please note, if you will modify the source code of plugin we will not guaranteed correct work of plugin and support it.

      Probably some previous booking was making, when you (o some other admin) was activating the "multiple days selection and not the "range days selection" as its now. Because its seems that booking that was making for the 3rd of May have not consecutive days.
      Please try to edit the booking that have the 3rd of May day for having for this booking only "consecutive days".
      Such issue must not be exist, if you will use only "range days selection mode".

  7. I've just updated the plugin Version 9.Business.Large.SingleSite.5.4.1
    and now all the booked and pending dates are not showing in the calendar - they are showing in the Bookings listing but not on the front end of the website

    i'm using wordpress 4.2.1

      1) If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the "Advanced section", please be sure that you have not activated this option: "Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):". This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.

      2) If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      3) Also please recheck that the option "Show pending days as available" dates in the "Advanced section" of General Booking Settings page was also UNCHECKED.

  8. The cost field in the admin will only hold 9 characters. 5 before the decimal, the decimal, and 2 after for cents or maximum cost of $99,999.99. I need to enter 6 characters before the decimal $999,999.99. How can we make this possible.

    Also, how can we get, in the Payment request email, the cost field is missing the comma as the thousands marker like "99999.00" instead of "99,999.00" in the payment request email. How can we add the comma in the thousands place in the email.

      1) What version update of Booking Calendar do you use ? In the latest updates, its possible to enter any "cost length". You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
      2) You can configure the using "comma" instead of "dot" in the cost at the General Booking Settings page in Cost section.

      • I maintain the latest version of the plugin and this happened in 5.4.1. I cannot enter numbers at any length as I said. If you send me an email I can show you via a skype session or I can record it and upload somewhere.
        So 2 things are happening:
        1. I can't enter a cost of more than 99999.99 ($99,999.99 USD)
        2. The payment request email does not show the thousands separator no matter which is being used.
        This is an important request as I need to send a payment request with that dollar amount and must currently do it manually until the system is fixed. I have tried many different ways and this constraint remains. I see the version 5.4.2 is now released so i'll request an update and try that as well.

          1) In this case its seems like some conflict issue with other plugin. Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again. Also please note, right now its possible to enter to this filed only digits (and dot "." as decimal separator).
          If you still will have this issue, please send link to the screen-casting (or just screenshot of this issue) to the support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
          2) And yes, you are right about issue with thousand separators in the payment request email. Its will be fixed in next update of Booking Calendar.
          Right now you can make this small fix:
          Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/lib/wpdev-booking-functions.php

          then find this code (its exist 3 times and you need to replace it 3 times):

          $my_cost = apply_bk_filter('get_booking_cost_from_db', '', $booking_id);

          and replace it to this code:

          $my_cost = apply_bk_filter('get_booking_cost_from_db', '', $booking_id); $my_cost = wpdev_bk_cost_number_format( $my_cost );

  9. I have a query on the booking status of the Calendar that the website users see. At present, if someone submits a booking and it is approved then the status is shown in a color that indicates 'Booked'. The clock icon is included in the date cell, but the color itself is more indicative of a 'Booked' state shown in the legend, rather than 'Partially Booked'. I believe that when some available time slots are present in the resource for that given day, then the color of the cell should match the Partially Booked legend colour rather than the Booked legend color. How can I change the plug-in to have the calendar cell color match the 'Partially Booked' legend color when some time slots are still available for that resource? Therefore the color would only change to the same as the Booked legend color when no available time slots for that resource are left (i.e. it really is fully 'Booked').
    Calendar version 5.4, WordPress 4.2, PHP 5.5.

      You will be need to make a fix in your calendar skin. Please read more about customization of the calendar skins here:

      You need to open your actual calendar skin ( for example its can be this ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/css/skins/standard.css, but in your case of course its can be different. You selected it at the General Booking Settings page in calendar section).

      and add to the bottom of that file this code:

      .datepick-inline .date_approved.timespartly{ background-color:#f5f5f5; } .datepick-inline .date_approved.timespartly a{ color:#89a; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: 0 1px 0 #fff; }

      Where colors must be different. Its have to be the same color as for "available dates" in your calendar skin (this customization was done for the "standard calendar skin" ).
