  1. Hi, I am currently using
    version 9.Business.Small.SingleSite.4.0.2
There seems to be an issue with IE9 and the partially booked tooltip icon. When hovering over the tooltip ie9 goes into compatibility mode and doesn't show what times are already booked. Is there another option to display the times that are already booked apart from the tooltip?
Any help would be appreciated please.

    • Hello,
I am retested this her https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ in the Internet Explorer 9 version # 9.0.8112.1642, and its working fine.
Please recheck your page for the any JavaScript errors, and if the errors is exist please try to fix them.

If you are use the single day selection mode, and using the "time range" selection shortcode, so then the already booked timeslots for the specific date, have not to be selectable in the selectbox. In any case the system will not allow to make the booking for the already booked previously times for the selected date. The warning message will show up.
      Kind regards

      • Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I have CVS installed on my machine which is breaking IE9. I have tested it on another machine and it works fine.
At the moment I my client is entering a start and end time, I just wondered if I could display the already booked times in a list somewhere.

        • Hello.
Right now is possible to show the already booked timeslots at the tooltip, when mouse over specific date or disable these timeslots at the selectbox, if you are using the timerange shortcode and single day selection mode. Other ways of showing booked time slots at client side is not available yet. In future updates we will improve the way of time entering and showing in the booking form/calendar.
          Kind regards.

  2. Would you consider adding a payment gateway such as Payfast.co.za
I have already used this plugin extensively and will be able to use it with many clients if you could include that payment gateway that can process South African Rands (ZAR).
    thanks

    • Hello.
I will add it to the todo list for the future updates.
Please leave it as a required feature at the idea page at this site.

      • Hi,
Is it possible to create my own payment gateway with Hooks or Api ?
If "Yes", should it be possible to get the Documentation ?
        Thank you

        • Hello.
The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support Paypal, Sage pay and ipay88 payment systems integrations, other payment systems are not supported yet. Sorry.
Unfortunately, right now we can not start some personal customizations or personal projects, because we are have a long todo list for the next update and almost have no free time.
If you want to make the integrations of your payment system by yourself, so you will be able to check how is integrated the Payment system (on the example) of the PayPal system at this file:../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php . You will be need to create your file with similar structure in that folder. Also you are need to include the calling of your file into this file: ../booking/inc/payments/index.php in the same way, as it was done for the other 3 payment systems.

Please note, if you will modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guaranteed the correct work of plugin and do not support it.

PS Future updates of the plugin will have more easy API for integration other payment systems.

  3. Hi,
Is it possible to use this plugin on a directory type site? Does it have multiple admin sections?
For example - if there was  HotelA, HotelB, and HotelC and a user checked availability for a certain date and all 3 hotels had rooms available.
the user now selects the room available from HotelB. HotelB would receive the email request and HotelA and HotelC wouldn't?
Would each hotel have access to their own admin panel?
    Thanks

    • Hello.
If you are need to have the several (separate/different) booking admin panels for the each of your wordpress users ( property owner / hotel ), so then you are need to check the MultiUser version.
At this version each registered WordPress user of your site can have independent, individual, own booking admin panel. It’s mean that each regular registered WordPress user can see only OWN booking resources and bookings and can configure the own booking form fields, emails and email templates, own payment form integration data and costs of booking resources as some other settings…
In this version is exist also the “super booking admin users”, which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users. And much more….

You can test Booking Calendar live demo at this page https://onlinebookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality.

      Kind regards.

        • Hello.
          There are no limits.
But if you will have too many users (thousands), so it's possible that the Booking > Settings > Users page is loading during some time, because at this page there are no pagination, and all users will be at one page.

  4. I was wondering whether there was any news on speeding up the loading time of the booking facility? I asked months ago, and you said you'd try and look into it. My client has numerous filters that are slowing it down to a snails pace (even with decent broadband... ) and now wants to add even more for 2014 (!). I can't see this referenced in the changelog. TIA.
BTW, your search facility doesn't seem to be working. Even words I can see in the comments section, return a search result of 0. It wouldn't normally be an issue, but unfortunately Google doesn't seem to have indexed your comments properly either. Hence the necessity of posting a question...

    • Hello.
      1) At the new versions (since 4.1 update) are available the new way of setting the season filters. Right now is possible to create the season filter based on the dates ranges. So if the previously we are need to have several "conditional" season filters for the definition the dates from the different months based on special rules. Right now we can create only one season filter, where selected all dates, which we are need to have for the specific rate or availability.
      2) According search functionality. If you are about the search in the support section, so we will improve the support section and search inside of this section during this year. Thank you for your notifications about this issue.
If you are about the search availability in the live demo of the business large version.
So the live demo of the Business Large version, is a public demo, which is reset to the default settings every 3 hours. Probably, during your test of search availability feature at the live demo, some previous user is reconfigured the settings, that the search results was not showing. Please test it now, its working fine.

      • I was referring to the search facility in the support section.

  5. Hi,

First of all thanks for this plugin. Just what I needed.

    Now to my concerns.

First of all search in you support forum seems to been disabled. Searching for more on "ajax sending error" results in no match wich I find troublesome.

Then I couldn't resolve the issue I have trhough you FAQ. I'm getting the above error message when I'm trying to delete bookings in the admin-section.

Pls help me out on this. I'm using the free version.

    Yours

    Patrick

  6. Hi,
I'm about to try out the Poedit translation program but get stuck directly. I don't find any file called POT file among the extracted programme files that I have downloaded. So when I press File/New catalogue from POT file/ there is no POT file to choose.
In which directory do I find the file (bin, doc or share), which subdirectory and what is the exact name of the file? Would very much appreciate your prompt answer.

    Best regards
    Cecilia

    • Hello,
You can find all POT, PO, MO translation files of the plugin, when you are download the plugin (for example from the wordpress directory from here) and extract this archive in the languages folder.

Or you can download the archive with translation files only from here.

      • Hi again,
Thank you very much for your reply. I'm sorry, but I'm still confused as to which file to choose when I click on File/New catalogue from POT file.

        a. I have to change the settings in file type first (from GNU gettext (pot) to all files) to see any files at all.
I then tried the file Poedit.mo  in the following catalogue: Poedit\share\locale\en_GB\LC_MESSAGES
I want to translate the English version into Swedish.
            => Is that correct?

        b. I get a popup "catalogue settings" with 3 tabs with fields to fill in.
=> Where do I save these settings that I create?
=>I guess it should be added to the plugin, but in which subdirectory?

        c. => Do you have any instructions or manual of what to fill in the various fields in these "catalogue settings"?
No English words pop up for me to translate. Where do I find them?

So, a lot of questions for a amateur poedit translator but hopefully they're not too difficult for an expert to answer... 🙂

Many thanks in advance for your attention.
        Best regards,
        Cecilia

        • Hello,
          Here is more detail instruction.
Please follow to these steps for making translation of the plugin:
          1) Before making translation of wordpress plugin, you need to have POEdit application. You can download it from here. Its completely free. Please install this application.
          2) Now please download the Booking Calendar plugin. You can download it from the WordPress directory, from here.
Please extract the archive of the Booking Calendar plugin. Inside of the Booking Calendar plugin folder you can find this folder: "languages". Its folder, where are list of all available translations of the plugin (let say the path to this folder is "../booking/languages/" ).
          3) Now start the POEdit application. Inside of the menu select File > "New catalog from from POT file", and select the wpdev-booking.pot file inside of our "../booking/languages/" folder, where you are extracted the booking calendar.
          4) Type the description of your translation in the new popup configuration dialog.
          5) Now in the "Save as" dialog, please type the name of the new translation file, in format: "wpdev-booking-LOCALE.po", where LOCALE - its locale of your new translation. In other words, the name of file consist from 2 parts: 1st part its filename of the plugin (in our situation its "wpdev-booking"), 2nd part its the locale (for translation in Spanish language "es_ES"). For example for the German translation, you will have the name of file like this: "wpdev-booking-de_DE.po". Save this file to the "../booking/languages/" folder.
          6) Now please make the translation of the each term in the "Translation" field. If you find in translation “%s” symbol you shoud leave it at the same place as at original translation line, its system variables. Please be sure that you are unchecked the "Fuzzy" button at the toolbar (or at the Edit menu), otherwise the translation will not apply to the plugin.
          7) Save the file (Using the file menu File > Save). Inside of the "../booking/languages/" folder you will see your 2 new files with extensions "po" and "mo".
          8) If you made new translation or update the exist translation, you can send this translation files (*.po, *.mo) to info @ wpbookingcalendar.com and we will add them to the next release of plugin. Thank you.

If you are made update of the exist translation,
inside of the step #3 instead of creation new file, select File > Open menu and select the specific PO file in the "../booking/languages/" folder.
Then follow this instructions from the point #6.

            • Hi,
I have made a quick test translation, added the new file to wp-content\plugins\booking\languages directory and made an ftp-transfer of the new file to the wordpress installation of the plugin.
I have gone through the booking settings in WordPress admin panel but found no record of where to switch between languages. I must have missed something here and hope you can enlighten me. 🙂
              Best regards
              Cecilia

              • Hello.
The booking calendar is support changing the interface based on locale of the site.
So you are need to have the correct locale settings at the config.php file at the root of your site.
The Booking Calendar is use the active locale of the site for the activation of the specific language from the ../booking/languages/ folder.

If you are use the free version, so then you are need to make the FULL reinstall of the plugin, its because the email template and labels to the booking form is saved to the DB during activation of the plugin and you are need to make this reactivation. Its mean that the exist bookings and settings will be erased.

Please read more at the FAQ https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ at the translation section.

P.S. If you are using the paid version of the Booking Calendar and need only the booking form labels at the client side of your site in different language, so you can customize the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page at top form. Please test it at the live demos here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/

  7. Hello,
I need to build a site that will allow one level of member to post their accommodation listings, while allowing another lower member to make a booking on that or any accommodation listing.
Does your plugin do this, or only allow main admins to have access to all listings?
    Thanks.

    • Hello.
At the any versions of the Booking Calendars you can set the specific user admin role for the each of booking admin menu pages: Booking Listing, Add new bookings, Resources and Settings. You can set it at the General Booking Settings page at the right side of the page.

Also if you are need to have more comprehensive booking system, where each wordpress user of your site can have independent, individual, own booking admin panel, you are need to check the Booking Calendar MultiUser version. It’s mean that each regular registered WordPress user can see only OWN booking resources and bookings and can configure the own booking form fields and email templates, own payment form integration data and costs of booking resources as some other settings… In this version is exist also the “super booking admin users”, which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.

You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

  8. Hi, I need to know where are saved all the information of this plugin. In my own server, or in your server?
    Thanks!

    • Hello.
All booking data and settings are saved at your server.
      Kind regards.

  9. Hi
i've added the plugin to my website, but i have a problem with it. When I try to add a booking, I can only see this month (april), but I cannot switch to the next month. You can see my problem here in this screenshot:
    https://www.islantilla.be/screenshot.jpg

Can you help me with this? Thanks a lot!

    • Hello,
Based on your screenshot, its seems that you are made the customization of the CSS skin of calendar.
The width of the calendar is too wide, and thats why you are not see the scroll arrow at the top right side of the plugin. Please set the width of the calendar shorter.

Also please recheck that at the General Booking Settings page in the "Calendar section" for the "Number of months" option you are specify more than 1 month.

  10. Hi, i have buyed your plugin.
I have installed also the WPML plugin traslator
I can translate the calendar but not the booking form (example "Nome", "cognome", "città" in italian must trasformed in "Name" , "Surname" "city" in english)
I found this but i dont' know if i can use it in custom fields module https://wpml.org/faq/language-setup/
And if yes, how i can do it? you can make me an example of code? Thanks! Best regards
