  3. Hello,
I have installed the calendar 5.  How do I get the Key code onto my website (close to my calendar) to show what the colors mean.
    Red Means?? Gold means???
I would also like to put the calendar in my link under Calendar, but the only way I could get it to work was to use the Widget.  that is fine, but if there is an easy way I would like to know?
    thank you.
    Cheryl

    • Hello.
      1) You can activate the showing legend under the calendar, which describe what each color is mean. You can activate it ("Display legend below calendar") at the General Booking Settings page at the Form section.

      2) If you want to have some custom text or links under the calendar, which you are insert into the post or page, so you can insert this text or links directly into the post under the Booking Calendar shortcode.

If you are need to have the custom configuration of the booking form fields, so then you are need to check any paid version of the Booking Calendar. You can confiugure the custom booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page. You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ .

  4. hello,
is it possible to configure the booking calendar in order to have part of the year where people can book for weeks and another part of the year where it's possible to rent for days?
I use medium business 5.02 version

    thanks
    dario

    • Hello.
You are need to activate the range days selection using 2 mouse clicks and set the minimum number of days selection as 1 at the General Booking Settings page . So its condition for the another second part of the year.

You are also need to create the the season filter for the first part of the year at the Booking > Resources > Filters page. Let say you have the name of these season filter like "half_year"

So then you are need to have the booking shortcode, like this:

      [booking type=1 form_type='standard' nummonths=1 options='{select-day condition="season" for="half_year" value="7,14,21"}' ]

Please read how manually to configure Booking Calendar shortcodes here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/

  5. Hi,
I need to implement a system to book hotel rooms
I would like to do something like booking.com: in the hotel main page I want to show the controls to select the check in and check out dates and then show a table with the rooms available in the period with prices and other conditions.
Then after I clicked the "Submin" button I want to show the others fields to collect customer data
    How can I implement that?
    Thanks
    Ander
PS: I have the multiuser version

    • Hello.
the possibility to search availability is possible at the Booking Calendar Business Large and in the Booking Calendar MultiUser versions.
You can test how its works at this page: https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/search/
You can configure the search forms at the Booking > Settings > Search page.

If you are need possibility that each of your wordpress registered users have own individual admin booking panel and can see only own booking and booking resources (properties), so then you are need to check the MultiUser version.

You can check all features, that available in the different Booking Calendar versions at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/features/
Also you can test Live Demos of any versions here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/.

  6. I have installed the plugin here: https://maisoncampagnecharlevoix.com/reserver.htm and between 25 octobre 2013 - 27 octobre 2013 I can see in the admin panel that someone made a reservation/ booking.
The problem is that the other clients don't see that. There are no js errors as far as I see on the page and I have not installed any wordpress cache plugin. Do you have any idea why this does not work?

    Lucian R.

    • Hello.
Are you sure that this booking is for the 25 octobre 2013 – 27 octobre 2013 and not for the 25 September 2013 – 27 September 2013, which is not available at your page already ?

Also try to recheck more detail about the any cache plugins. May be your theme have the integrated cache system.
For rechecking this issue, please try to deactivate one by one your active plugins and test it. If its not help, please try to deactivate your active theme and activate the default wordpress theme and then retest it one more time.

If all these not help, please send the screenshot of that booking to the support email.

      Kind regards.

        • Hello,
What shortcode do you use for the booking form at the client side of your website ?
Also are you sure that you are disabled all cache plugins ? Please recheck it more carefully. Also try to deactivate the active theme and activate the default one and then recheck it one more time.

          • I am using the shortcode [booking nummonths=2 agregate=''] and I even contacted the hosting to see if they have any cache system. They said that they don't use any cache on that webpage.
In the screenshot you can see that the default wordpress theme was activated. That didn't do the trick.
No idea what I could do more.

            • Hello.
Ahh I see, the problem in the agregate='' parameter in your shortcode.
So please use instead of this shortcode
              [booking nummonths=2 agregate='']
              this shortcode:
              [booking nummonths=2]

By the way, what version number do you use? In the latest version update this issue have to be fixed.
              Kind regards.

              • Latest version of the plugin. Your solution worked! I removed the agregate and it worked!
                Thanks

  7. Do any of the versions allow the user to be "remembered", i.e. not have to fill out the First Name/Last Name/Email fields every time? It's rather cumbersome to fill out that info repeatedly.
It would be great if there was a way to leverage existing WordPress users, or if the calendar integrated with any other login/user management system.

    Thanks!

    Heath

    • Hello.
It's possible at the any versions of the Booking Calendar.
You can activate the "auto fill fields" feature at the general booking settings page. So all logged in users, who have filled profile, will be see the filled by own data fields in booking form (name, second name, email).
      Kind regards.

  8. I just purchased the small business edition. I need to set it up so that you can select a half-day or a full day.
I followed the instructions in your faq, but I get the following message when the form is submitted
"Start Time is invalid. The date or time may be booked, or already in the past! Please choose another date or time."

You can see the calendar here: https://webster.luludigital.com/availability-calendar/

    • Hello.
Its depend from how you are an to book the "half booked" date. If you are need to make the bookings for the specific times (time slots), so then you can configure the time slot selections shortcodes at the Booking > Settings > Fields page. Please check the time slot shortcodes at the right side of that page in the shortcode generator, or check here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

If you are need to have the "half booked date" in a sense, of possibility to use the same date as check in and check out date for the 2 different bookings, so then you are need to open the General Booking Settings page and activate the using "check in/ out times" and configure the check it time as "14:00" and check out time as "12:00" (or some other values). Please note, in this case your visitor need to select minimum 2 days to make the booking, also this settings is apply to the all booking resources and overwrite functionality of the "time slots" selection in the booking form, if you have these types of the fields.

If you are need to have possibility to book on one booking form the full date (without the time slot selections) and inside of the other booking form the booking for the specific times, so then you are need to have 2 different custom forms. The possibility to have 2 different custom forms is available at the Business Medium version, you can upgrade to this version using the upgrade link at the General Booking Settings page in admin panel.

      Kind regards.

      • Thanks for getting back to me.
Users would need the ability to book one of three options.

        Morning
        Afternoon
        Full Day

You mention that this is possible with Business Medium.
Would there have to be two separate calendars and forms visible if it were set up like this? I need the site users to only see one calendar.
Could you please explain or show me a demo?
        Thanks,

        • Hello.

In the Booking Calendar Business Small and Business Medium are possible to configure the time slot selections at the Booking > Settings > Fields page in this way:
( Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/ )
          [select rangetime "Morning@@10:00 - 14:00" "Afternoon@@14:00 - 20:00" "Full date@@10:00 - 20:00"]

Also you must select the "Single day" selection mode at the General Booking Settings page.

So now your visitors can select, what time of day or full day to book

You can check all features, that available in the different Booking Calendar versions at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/features/

Also you can test Live Demos of those versions here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/.

          Kind regards.

          • Thank you for your help.
That seems to be working just the way I need it.

  9. I have set up filters because I have different pricing per night depending on whether it is midweek or weekend - as well as depending on the dates - so Easter, Xmas and other public holidays are a different price per night.
I cannot get it to work.
    For example ..
December 1 - 22 is "shoulder" season so midweek (Sun to Thur) is $140, weekend (Fri & Sat) is $147.
December 23-30 is "xmas" season so every day is $155.
January 1 - 6 is "xmas" season so every day is $155.
January 7 - 30 is "peak" season so midweek is $160, weekend is $168.
Can you please advise how to do it?
I tried creating a filter for each one - e.g. Shoulder Midweek date filter where all December 1-22 Sun-Thur dates are selected but Fri-Sat dates aren't, Shoulder Weekend date filter where all December 1-22 Fri and Sat dates are selected, Xmas season date filter where December 23-30 dates are selected.
In the costs, I associate the appropriate price with each season.
I have dynamic range date selection.
I want the user to be able to click on 20th Dec and 29th Dec (so trying to book Fri 20/21 (shoulder weekend x 2 = $294), Sun 22 (shoulder midweek $140) Mon 23-29 (xmas x 6 = $930) - so the total cost of the booking should be $294+$140+$930 = $1364 - but what is happening is that the default rate of $128 per night is being used - so the total cost of the booking is default x 9 = $1152.
As the user mouses over the dates every single one says $128.
    Can you please advise asap.
    Thanks

    • Sorry forgot to say I have just purchased the business version - which I did specifically because I need this season functionality.

      • Hello.
Please use the rates button at the booking settings cost and rates page to assign specific rate for the specific dates in season filters.

Please be sure that you are activated the specific rate - the checkbox(es) at the left side of each active rate have to be checked.
        Kind regards

        • Oooops .. thank you.
I am blushing ... I didn't have the checkboxes ticked on the rates!

          • Also, I would like to add a fixed surcharge if only one night is booked.
I can see how to add the extra cost with a checkbox on the form.
Is there a way to do that automatically?
            For example:
I can set up a field One Night Booking [checkbox* one_night " "] and then do advanced cost to add fixed surcharge if  the user checks it.
But .. I would like to check the box automatically if only one night has been booked.
            Something like ..
            if nights_booked = 1
then one_night is set to on
else one_night is set to off
So the checkbox is ticked automatically and the surcharge is added automatically with out the user having to set it.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough.
            Thanks

            • Hello.
Unfortunately its not possible to set checked the specific checkbox, depend from the number of selected dates.
You can set the specific checkbox selected by default, after loading of the page.

Also you can configure the advanced cost, which is depend from the number of selected dates at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page by clicking on the "Valuation days" button. Its available at the Booking Calendar Business Medium/Large and MultiUser versions.
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

              • Thanks for your reply.
                I have Business Medium version.
Unfortunately, I am using rates per night .. so the valuation days won't work either.
Perhaps you could add this as feature in a future version :

                • Sorry posted before complete ..

Perhaps you could add this as a feature in a future version 🙂 which would be very helpful.
It is also common in Australia where a different rate is used depending on the number of nights booked .. so for example, if you book 7 nights, you get a 20% discount.
That would also be something which would be very useful.
Thanks for the support .. I am impressed with the plugin and the support!

                  • Hello.
Yes, we will add that possibility in the future updates.
But you can use it even with exist versions.

You are need to set the cost per day, and then at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page set the Valuation days like this:
"For 2nd day = 0 USD for the selected date"

So in this case, the system will calculate the cost of the booking in the same way, as cost per night. But now in addition, you can configure the other settings in the "Valuation days settings".

  10. We´re having issues with our booking module Business Medium.

Bookings dissapear from the list even though they are approved and paid for. Please help 🙂

Is there a way to get all the cancellation / payment not approved emails (auto-cancellation) sent to admin?

    • Hello.
