Hi how can we setup different start dates for the Christmas / New year period?
We have plugin setup to start from Friday which is fine all year but at Christmas / New Year we would need different starting dates depending when Christmas day falls?
Thanks
Hello.
You need to define the Christmas as season filter on the Booking > Resources > Filters page. And then define in the booking shortcode in the options parameter the start-day condition. Please read more about that here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
In other words for the specific season (for example for December) you can extend the start days. To have it does not only for Friday but also for the other weekday, where Christmas starting.

First off, thank you for the quick reply.
I made all the changes in the biz_l.php without any effect on the datepick, all dates in the datepick remain available. 🙁
Another strange behaviour appears, when I use a conditional season filter. I used the "Weekends" filter on all resources and they remain bookeable with the datepick, eventhough they are NOT available in the corresponding calendar an that resources page within the site.
Only when I produce a new "time-based-filter" (i did set one up with all weekends checked for 2014) and use it on the resource it remains unbookable even within the datepick. In other words the availability filters only work correctly with the datepick, when single days are used in date-based-filters. The filtering with 'Each Su,Sa on each day of every month 2014,2015,2016..' only works in calendar view, NOT when a search is made with a datepick.
Any suggestions?
Hello.
1) please clear browser cache before your tests, if you was making any modifications of the CSS or JS files.
2) please send the screenshots of your season filters and availability configurations and link to the search results, where it's show as available for your booking resources. Please send them to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Kind regards.
Another problem is, that when NO check-in or check-out date is picked and just the SEARCH button is hit, no message appears. A result page is shown with all resources.
This can be reproduced even on your demo site https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com
Just hit SEARCH and see for yourself.
Any fix for that? Thanks in advance.
Hello.
Please make this fix.
Please open this file ../booking/inc/biz_l.php
Then find this code:
$booking_search_form_show = str_replace( '[search_button]',
'<input type="submit" " value="'.__('Search','wpdev-booking').'" class="search_booking">', $booking_search_form_show);
and replace it to this code:
$booking_search_form_show = str_replace( '[search_button]',
'<input type="submit" onclick="if ( (this.form.check_in.value == \'\') || (this.form.check_out.value == \'\') ) { alert(search_emty_days_warning); return false; }" " value="'.__('Search','wpdev-booking').'" class="search_booking">', $booking_search_form_show);
Works like a charm 🙂
When you will release a new update?
Thanks
Hello.
I can not say right now, when exactly will come new update. About the new updates you can check at the news section on the right side of general booking settings page, in your admin panel; or at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/changelog/

with the message: "The arrival date must be in the form yyyy / mm / dd
The departure date must be in the form yyyy / mm / dd"
I can't change the format.
Another problem is that in the home there is a bar of booking but nn sends anywhere. Could you help me? Thank you.
Hello.
That issue relative to your active theme "wp_sixtyone5-v1.0.2" and not to the Booking Calendar.
Please contact the developer of that theme "wp_sixtyone5-v1.0.2" about fixing that issue.
Kind regards.
Hi
We've purchased WP Booking Calendar Medium Business (version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.5.1.2), and have quite a complex set up required for the booking calendar. We are building this for a van hire business. They have two vans, both available at the same times, prices and days. A van is available from March-November, at different prices depending on the month. Each van can be hired for 3 fixed periods of time; Friday to Monday, Monday to Friday, and Friday to Friday.
Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday are the same prices, but Friday to Friday is more expensive.
In the Main Settings under "Type of days selection in calendar" I've selected "Select a DYNAMIC range of days with 2 mouse clicks". In there I've put "Min: 4, Max: 8", and "Specific days selections: 4,5,8". This allows the different periods to only be selected: Friday to Monday (4), Monday to Friday (5), and Friday to Friday (8). I've also limited the "Start select days" to just Monday and Friday.
However if you click on Friday as the start day on the booking form, the end days can be Monday, Tuesday and Friday. I only want Monday (4) and Friday (8).
Also if you click on Monday as the start day, the end days can be Thursday, Friday and Monday. I only want Friday (5).
Is there a way of limiting the ranges you can select depending on the start date?:
Friday [to]: Monday (4 days), Friday (8 days) only
Monday [to]: Friday (5 days) only
The website we're working on is currently under development but I can provide login details for you?
Thanks
Andy
Hello.
Its possible to configure inside of the booking shortcode in the content of the post or page.
You need to specify it in the "options" parameter as condition for the number of days selections.
Please read how to configure it here in the section of about "options" parameter: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
Please note, the version 5.1.2 have issue relative to the dates selections, which depend from the conditions (in the shortcode) and start dates in General Booking Settings page. We will fix it in the next update of plugin.
I am also sent to your email, the instruction how to fix that issue. Please check your email about this fix (check the spam folder, if you do not see it inbox).
Kind Regards.
All received and working. Thank you very much!
Andy
Hi, if a booking is approved, we send an "approved" email. There is an option "Send to admin (Check this box to send copy of this email to Admin )". Question: How is it possible to change the from-address of this admin-mail? If not possible I would expect that the same from-address will be used as in the tab "New for admin" defined. Now I suppose the [visitoremail] is used as from-address. Because It's not possible to define a name of the [visitoremail], I want to change this.
Thank you for an answer in advance.
Thomas
Hello.
In the "Approve" email (which is sending to the Admin) in the "From" field is using the Email, which was filling by the visitor during creation of that booking.
The shortcode [visitoremail] means exactly the same.
Can you explain more detail, what exactly you want to have in the "Approve" Email in the field From, which is sending to the admin?
Kind Regards.
Is it possible to pre-populate the booking form fields for logged in users of the wordpress site? I would like to be able to have someone register to the site with the necessary info that will be required when making a booking. I am using the large business version.
Many Thanks!
Hello.
Please open the General Booking Settings page and activate the "Auto-fill fields"(to activate auto-fill form fields for logged in users.) options in the Form section.
Kind Regards.
Hi,
I have purchased the small business plugin.
Is there a way to make all booking free (no Paypal step, just confirmation)?
Hello.
Yes, you can deactivate all payment systems on the Booking > Settings > Payment page in your admin panel.
Kind regards.
Hi,
I have the business site large plugin and have been using for a long time. I am suddenly having problems with emails sending. All settings for sending emails are on - I have triple checked everything!
Not all emails are sending to admin or customers. I notice this is a problem with gmail, hotmail & yahoo.
I am using WordPress 3.9 and Version 9.Business.Large.SingleSite.5.0.1
Please help. I have tried everything I can think of.
Thanks
Hello.
Please recheck all points from this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/do-not-get-emails/
Please recheck with support of Hosting company that your server have no any restrictions about the sending of the emails.
Sometimes the server providers is set limits for the number of sending emailsduring specific period of time.
Kind regards.
I am still having this issue. It's terrible. Can I try to manually replace the PHP Mail file?
I note that is;
gmail.com
hotmail.com
yahoo.com.au
other accounts that are not mainstream
I am getting the new booking emails and the approved emails but I basically have to get the customer to send me an email first and then I copy and paste the deposit request into the reply so that our emails are received. They also do not get the Booking Approved email.
This has always worked in the past so I cannot understand why it has simply stopped working now.
Hello.
Its the emails are sending to one email accounts and to other do not sending, then its issue do not in the Booking Calendar its relative to your server. May be there some filter, which block sending o something like this. You will be need to contact the support of the hosting company about that. Please check the email sending logs (somewhere in your server configurations).
In any ways, if you wan to change the Booking Calendar sending emails function, you can make it in side of the ../booking/lib/wpdev-booking-class.php file by searching the wp_mail functions (its exist 10 times in different paces). But again, if the Booking Calendar send emails to one accounts and other accounts do not receiving the emails, so its something with server configurations. Please note, if you will modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guaranteed the correct work of plugin and do not support it.
Kind Regards.
