WordPress: 3.9.1
Booking Calendar: 5.1
Hello and thank you for such a great plugin. I was wondering if it was possible to have a fixed range of days only on Friday and Saturday (range of 2 days), while all other days are still single selection.
Please let me know, thank you!
Also, we have Business Medium
Hello.
If you wan to use the "range days" selection mode by using the 1 mouse click, then you can configure the "range days selection" mode for the "Fri" and "Sat" as "2 days" and for all other week days range days selection using 1 mouse click as 1 day.
If you set the "range days selection mode using 1 mouse click and set there number of selected days as 1, then in the booking shortcode you wiil beneed to have something like this: [booking type=1 form_type='standard' nummonths=2 options='{select-day condition="weekday" for="5" value="2"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="6" value="2"}']
P.S. Its will work in update 5.1.4 or newer.

Hello.
Its seems like some conflict with other plugin or actual theme.
Please try to reinsert the booking shortcode. Try to use the "text" mode (and not the Visual mode) in your edit content toolbar.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.
If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default wordpress theme. And then retest it again.
Just need to find the reason of that issue.
Kind Regards.
The Calendar simply does not show on the page any more.
It once did when I first installed.
It was blank, then I copied the code from the example in the HowTo, but now it just shows the code.
Hello.
Did you try to deactivate all your active plugins and activate the default WordPress theme (for example Twenty Ten) ?
Its require to find the reason of this conflict.
If you do not see the calendar but the booking form is visible, then please recheck your page for the any JavaScript errors. Its seems like some error at the page and thats why you have no calendar bu have the booking form at the page.
If you still will have this issue, please send the link to the page with that issue.
Kind Regards.
I'm using your paid plugin on a client's resource booking site on which tenants can schedule building rooms and resources. Everything is setup and working great, but they would like to display the booking's owner and phone number in the tooltip when user mouses over a scheduled date. This way, tenants can resolve schedule conflicts themselves. I found in your support the code switch for WP_BK_SHOW_INFO_IN_FORM, but this only displays the event owner.
Hello.
You need to make a little fix for be able to show the "phone number".
In case if you are using the shortcode for the Phone number similar to this:
<p>Phone:<br />[text phone] </p>
Hi - pre sales question
my business is a spa where many different types of service are available - each service requires a different amount of time. all the services are available during the working hours of provider #1. provider #1 offers over 20 different services (brow wax, lip wax, brow and lip wax, massage, bridal makeup, etc, etc)
we also have provider #2 who provides acupuncture services - 2 different types of appointments of different lengths - these are available during the working hours of provider #2.
sometimes provider #1 works 10 am - 3 pm. and then provider #2 works 4 pm-7 pm on the same day. some whole days are just provider #1. they do not ever work at the same time
i cannot figure out which version i would need to be able to create all this. i want customers to be able to choose a service - then choose the day they want - then see the times available for that service, then book that service.
thank you!
Dana
Hello.
I can suggest the approximate way how its can work, but not the exact as in your description.
You need to check the Booking Calendar Business Medium version, where is possible to create the several booking forms (each for your providers) and possible to customize the different times selections for the different weekdays.
So, in this version, you can create the booking resources for the each of your providers at the Booking > Resources page (its means that each of your providers will have own booking form with calendar). Please read more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/general-usage-instruction/
Then at the Booking > Settings > Fields page you can create the separate individual booking form for the each of your providers.
In one booking form you can have the start time selections relative to the working hours of the first provider and in the second booking form you can have the start time selections relative to the second provider.
You can have also the end time selections or duration of time selections, but probably you will be need to have the selection of the duration of time (as values some number of time) and in the titles of the options have the selections of your services, which provide specific your provider.
Its can look like this at the Booking > Settings > Fields page:
<p>Start Time: [select starttime "09:00 AM@@09:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "01:00 PM@@13:00" "03:00 PM@@15:00"]</p>
<p>Service: [select durationtime "brow wax@@00:30" "lip wax@@01:00" "brow and lip wax@@01:45" "massage@@01:00" "bridal makeup@@00:30"]</p>
Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/
Please note here can be issue, when someone will select the start time as 15:00 and some service which take 1 hour, so its can take out of workin time of your provider, thats why you need to be sure that start time is before end of your working time.
Please note, all these was said according the 2 separate booking forms for the each of your providers at the different pages or in the same page but one form under the other.
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
If you need to have the different admin panels for the each of your providers, then you need to check the Booking Calendar MultiUser version. Please read the Booking Calendar version overview here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/versions-overview/
Kind Regards.
Hello.
I cannot get the Booking Listing widget to save in the primary widget area and it does not show up on the site: http://www.nawicwichita.org. I am not getting an javascript errors it just will not save itself to the widget area. I have also tried saving it to other area as well with no luck.
I have also deactivated other plugins without luck either. Does this plugin work for the Twenty Ten theme?
Help would be appreciated.
Theme: Twenty Ten 1.6
Plugins: Booking Calendar, CalendarPress, and WP-Members
Widgets: (primary area) WP-Members, CalendarPress, Recent Posts
Hello.
Booking Calendar does not have the "Booking Listing" widget. Booking Calendar have the "Booking Calendar" widget, where in the parameters you can select showing the booking form or just availability calendar in your widget at sidebar.
Please recheck that you are using and trying to configure the widget of the Booking Calendar plugin and not some other widget from some other plugin.
And yes, Booking Calendar working fine with "Twenty Ten" theme.
If you still will have this issue, please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.
If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default wordpress theme, for example "Twenty Ten" theme (if you did not have it active). And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.

Hi,
I have been looking for a rental booking plugin that will work with our specific needs and haven't found one yet.
We rent Kayaks for 2 hours at a time. We have a limited inventory (18 Kayaks). and 3 available times that guests can choose from to go out (7am, 8am, 9am)
I need to be able to have guests pick a time slot, and then pick as many Kayaks as they need (as long as we still have them available).
Is this plug-in able to have a set inventory that would lessen each time a kayak is booked?
Also would the inventory go back up after 2 hours? (so that a 7am kayak is then available again for rental at 9am?)
Thank you for your help.
Derek
Hello.
Unfortunately, if you are need to make the several reservations per the same timeslot at same date, its does not possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Please read my suggestion below about the possible configuration.
At the Booking Calendar Business Small and Business Medium versions are possible to make the bookings for the specific time slot.
Please note, if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.
At the Booking Calendar Business Large version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it’s mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability.
Suggestion! I can suggest that you can create the booking resource with specific capacity for the each of your times and each of your Kayaks and then have the independent own calendar for the each of your time slot for the reservation. Its mean that your visitors firstly, need to select the times of trip and Kayaks in the selectbox, where will be list all your options. And only after that select the date and fill the booking form.
Its can be look like this: https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource-2/
But its means that if someone book all the Kayaks for the 8 AM, these "Kayaks" will be available for the 9 AM, because mainly you created new inventory of "Kayaks" for the each of your times.

I am using 9.Business.Large.SingleSite.5.1.2 on WordPress 3.9.1.
I understand that the "Add booking" screen of the WordPress backend uses the "Standard" form for bookings. I have created a separate custom form that is used in the posts that are visible on the front end.
I would like the "Standard" form used in the "Add booking" screen to not be subject to any date restrictions. For example, even though the "Unavailable days from today" is set at 3 for front-end users, I would like the admin to be able to book a reservation on any date, including dates in the past. In addition, even though the "Days selection number:" in the Dynamic Range Days setting is set to Min: 2 and Max: 60 for front-end users, I would like the admin to be able to book a reservation of any duration.
Adding the following to the beginning of the standard booking form appears to allow me to select a reservation of up to a year from the current date, but I would like to be able to book for multiple years if needed and also book days in the past to be able to edit or add reservations that were improperly recorded in the system:
bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 9999;
Please advise if this is possible.
Hello.
Please open the General Booking Settings page and in "Calendar section" for the option "Number of months:" please change it from the "1 year" to "10 years".
Also please note, you do not need to use such type of JS variables: "bk_2clicks_mode_days_max" in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.
Its only useful to use it at the edit post page, before the booking shortcode, if you really need this.
Thank you for your response.
To be clear, I want users on the front end (using the calendar in my posts) to only be able to book a reservation for a maximum of 60 days in length, and no more than one year in advance, which is why I set the "Days selection number" to "Max:60" and "Number of months" to "1 year".
On the back end (using the calendar in the Add bookings screen of the WordPress control panel), however, I want the admin to be able to book for any duration and as far in advance as they would like. I would also like the admin to be able to add reservations for dates that have already passed, while users on the front end should only be able to book up to three days in advance.
Hello.
In general if you are using the latest version of the Booking Calendar you have to be able to select the any number of months at the Booking > Add booking page in admin panel.
If you are using some old version of Booking Calendar for be able to select any number of months in calendar at the Booking > Add booking page (even past), you need to make this modifications:
Please open this file ../booking/js/wpdev.bk.js
then find this code:
var bkMinDate = 0;
var bkMaxDate = booking_max_monthes_in_calendar;
and replace it to this code:
var bkMinDate = 0;
var bkMaxDate = booking_max_monthes_in_calendar;
var is_this_admin = false;
if ( (location.href.indexOf('wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-reservation') != -1 ) &&
(location.href.indexOf('booking_hash') != -1 ) ) {
is_this_admin = true;
bkMinDate = null;
bkMaxDate = null;
}
According any number of days selections at the Booking > Add booking page.
Please make this modifications:
Please open this file ../booking/js/wpdev.bk.js
then find this code:
function selectDay(date) {
and replace it to this code:
function selectDay(date) {
if ( (location.href.indexOf('wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-reservation') != -1 ) &&
(location.href.indexOf('booking_hash') != -1 ) ) {
bk_1click_mode_days_num = 999;
bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 999;
}
Kind Regards.
Thank you. This was helpful.
You are correct that this is already possible in the latest version, but only when EDITING the booking. When using "Add booking", there is no booking_hash and so the if statements return false. I changed "(location.href.indexOf('booking_hash')" to "(location.href.indexOf('admin.php')" to solve this issue, and now it works whether adding or editing a booking.
Ok , good to know that its works for you.
Hello,
I'm using 9.Business.Small.SingleSite.5.1.5 version of your wordpress plugin. I wonder if it's possible to set a max days in a row when using "Multiple days selection"? Tax rules only allow the resource to be rented no more than 3 days in a row by the same guest.
I have tried the dateperiod with dynamic selecten but it only allows the guest to make a single 1 - 3 days booking and I want the to be able to make several. Is this possible?
Hello.
Yes it's possible.
You need to activate the "range days selection mode by using 2 mouse clicks" at the general booking settings page in calendar section.
And set the minimum number of days selections as 3 days.
I want to guest to be able to select 1 - 3 days but not more than 3 days in a row. I know this is possible with dynamic range and set min 1 day and max 3 days. But that only allows the guest to make a single 1 -3 days selection in the calendar. I want them to able to make infinite 1-3 days selection in the calendar if its possible.
Hello.
Sorry, such type of restrictions as in your description do not possible to set in actual versions of Booking Calendar.
Kind regards.
Ok, thanks for the fast reply. One last question, how do you show the total price under the calendar in the example calendar in the link? I have searched your site for the script but cant find it.
Hello.
Such type of functionality available in the Business Medium
and higher versions.
You can use this shortcode [cost_hint] to show the total cost of the booking in your booking form.
You can make upgrade to one of higher versions by using the "Upgrade" link at the general booking settings page.
Kind regards.
Hi
Im using 9.Premium.2.7
I have set up the Calendar for my site, but it wont show multiple bookings for the same day. It only shows up the last booking.
In the admin section, it shows multiple bookings fine. but not on the front end. It also letting people book the same times as it only greys out the last time of that day (as thought thats the only one booked)
Please let me know how to resolve this ASAP
Cheers
Pete
I am only using 1 resource as thats all I need. So I am using default 1.
I have bookings set by the hour for just the one service. I have it like this so people can see what bookings are free and have been taken for that day. But like I said.. it only shows the last time frame of the last booking on the booking form.
Works great in the back in admin. But not on the frontend.
I noticed that my site is fully booking that day instead of partially booking it.
It is a service by the hour and it seems its only allowing one major time, although people can still book!
Sorry about multiple posting. Im sorry I don't think you understand what I mean.
People can make bookings on my site but it ONLY records the last one. It will record the last booking only, which then means anyone else booking can then book over the top of a previous booking, because someone else has booked a time in that day. Say if there is a booking at 11.00. Someone else books on that day at 13.00. It will then ONLY show the one at 13.00 and not black out the 11.00.. 11.00 is then apparently available for booking.
It works ok in admin and shows that there is 2 bookings on that day. Hence then leading to double bookings.
You need to update your version to the latest version. It's seems issue with old version.
Kind regards.
Is there a way to book multiple resources in the same reservation without having to book each one individually?
Thanks,
Ashley
Hello.
In the Booking Calendar Business Large version, is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource.But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation). Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/
And in this Booking Calendar Business Large version possible to make the reservations of the the several "child resources" (of the same parent resource) during the same booking process.
Also in the Booking Calendar Business Medium and higher versions possible to use the several calendars for the different booking resources and only one booking form, so visitors can select the dates in the different booking calendars, but fill the fields only in the one form and make the booking of these several resources. Please check more about it here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/booking-many-different-items-via-one-booking-form/
So I am not sure, if these 2 solutions will fit to your needs.
WordPress: 3.9.1
Booking Calendar: 5.1
Hello and thank you for such a great plugin. I was wondering if it was possible to have a fixed range of days only on Friday and Saturday (range of 2 days), while all other days are still single selection.

Hello.
If you wan to use the "range days" selection mode by using the 1 mouse click, then you can configure the "range days selection" mode for the "Fri" and "Sat" as "2 days" and for all other week days range days selection using 1 mouse click as 1 day.
Please check hot to configure it at this page at the section abuout options parameter: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
If you set the "range days selection mode using 1 mouse click and set there number of selected days as 1, then in the booking shortcode you wiil beneed to have something like this:
[booking type=1 form_type='standard' nummonths=2 options='{select-day condition="weekday" for="5" value="2"},{select-day condition="weekday" for="6" value="2"}']
P.S. Its will work in update 5.1.4 or newer.

You need to make a little fix for be able to show the "phone number".
Please open this file ../booking/inc/js/biz_s.js
then find this code:
if (dates_additional_info[ bk_type ][ td_class ][ik][ 'secondname' ] != undefined) return_variable += ' ' + dates_additional_info[ bk_type ][ td_class ][ik][ 'secondname' ] ;

bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 9999;
Please open this file ../booking/js/wpdev.bk.js
then find this code:
var bkMinDate = 0; var bkMaxDate = booking_max_monthes_in_calendar;
and replace it to this code:
var bkMinDate = 0; var bkMaxDate = booking_max_monthes_in_calendar; var is_this_admin = false; if ( (location.href.indexOf('wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-reservation') != -1 ) && (location.href.indexOf('booking_hash') != -1 ) ) { is_this_admin = true; bkMinDate = null; bkMaxDate = null; }
According any number of days selections at the Booking > Add booking page.
Please make this modifications:
Please open this file ../booking/js/wpdev.bk.js
then find this code:
function selectDay(date) {
and replace it to this code:
function selectDay(date) { if ( (location.href.indexOf('wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-reservation') != -1 ) && (location.href.indexOf('booking_hash') != -1 ) ) { bk_1click_mode_days_num = 999; bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 999; }
You be able to select the dates as in this live demo: https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/
I have searched your site for the script but cant find it.
https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/booking/resource-3/
Please help me ASAP
You can configure the timeslots at the Booking > Settings > Fields page. Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/
Please check more info at the FAQ and help section of plugin website.
PS. Do not create new thread comments, you can just reply to your previous one. Because otherwise it's will be hard to find history of reply.
Check my last reply relative update and your version.
Hello.
The ability to book the multiple times for the same full daw possible only in the Business Large version. Please read more here:https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/
Also you are using very old version 2.7, which does not supporting yet. You can request new update here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
Hi .. Thank you for a very speedy reply.
Kind regards.
