  1. Hi,

I am trying to use the plugin with a theme that has a post_type that lists as listings, rather than typical post/pages. The search option (have hotel edition) isn't displaying any of the resources as available, because it states that it isn't finding any resources in posts or pages. I believe this has to do with the way the theme has the post type -> ..../?post_type=listings&p=5

Any suggestions on getting the search to locate the use of the resource listing within a custom post type?

    -a

    • Hello,
yes, this issue is exist because right now the system is search the availability only inside of the posts or pages.
For fixing this issue, please open this file ../booking/include/wpdev-hotel.php
      find this line:
      $sql = $wpdb->prepare("SELECT ID, post_title, guid, post_content, post_excerpt FROM ".$wpdb->posts." WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND ( post_type='post' OR post_type='page')") . " AND post_content LIKE '%[booking %' ";
and add more conditions into this: post_type='post' OR post_type='page'

      • How do I overcome this in the new Business Large Edition. I need to search another post type. Many thanks!

        • Hello,
this restriction was in the old "Hotel Edition" version, in the "Business Large" version the system have to search in any posts.

          • So, this means it's not possible to search through a custom post type? I have reserved posts for the blog/news on my site and really need the search functionality to look through my custom post type where all my resources are used. Any help would be great. thanks in advance

              • I already have '9.Business.Large.SingleSite.4.0' version installed and am trying to get the search function working on a page that I have set up. I'm having differculty getting results to show on this page. I have looked through your support guide and haven't had much luck finding out why its not working. I thought it may be the custom post type but it could be something else?

                • Hello,
Please recheck that you are inserted into the posts or pages the booking forms for the your parent (resource with some capacity) or single resources (if you are insert the child resources, so then its will not be displayed in search results. ).
Then after this, please open the Booking > Settings > Search page and click on "Clear cache" button, you have to see the number of found pages with booking forms.
                  After this please test it.

  2. Hi,

I recently upgraded from Premium to Hotel.

    1. When I select "all resources" in the bookings section it takes absolutely forever for the page to load. All other options load very quickly.

    2. When I select a resource after I do a search it brings me to a completely different website domain name and a page that does not exist. the other domain is mine, but the domain name is nowhere in the WordPress or Booking Calendar settings. Why is it sending me to another domain name?

    • Hello Danny,
      1) Probably you are have too many resources or big capacity of some resource.
Please select of showing bookings for the one resource at the general booking settings page by default.
Right now, we are redeveloping the internal admin interface and improve performance at admin side, so the fix of that issue with performance will be available in future version update. We are really hope that update will come in close time. Probably it's will be during 1-2 months. Thank you for your understanding.
      2) Probably, you are made the incorrect transfer of the data from the previous domain or have incorrect GUIDs for the posts or pages.
So please open firstly the wordpress general settings, and recheck that you have the correct values of "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" fields.
Then open your DB, using the phpMyAdmin tool or something similar tool, and recheck that each of your post or page have the correct guid value.

    • Can you describe it more detail, what you are mean by "user-interface-text" ?

  3. We are using the PayPal integration but with just the standard merchant account. If we upgrade to the Hosted Pro Solution will this prevent the application from going over to the PayPal site but still use their processing gateway? Trying to keep it as simple as possible for our visitors and don't want them to be concerned about PayPal or need a PayPal account to avoid issues.

    • Hello,
In this case your visitors are still will be redirected to the
PayPal site, but they do not require to have a PayPal account to finish the payment.

  4. I would like to include a note when an appointment request is being approved. I've tried both the "edit notes" icon on the booking (the double-envelope icon) and I've tried to include a note in the field "comment on why the request is cancelled or denied". The second does work when I click "cancel" and the booking is denied, but when I write a note in this field then click "approve" no note appears. Am I missing a way to include a note for approved bookings? Thank you.

    • Hello Kelly,
You can add the comment to any bookings by pressing the "Edit notes" icon at the right side nearly your booking.

      • Yes, I've tried that for sure. It leaves a note for me, but it does not place the note on the confirmation email. I realize I didn't explain that. I want the note to be included in the confirmation email. Right now I can include a note in the email for modification or cancellation, but not approval. Thanks!

        • Ah, I see.
Unfortunately this feature is not supported yet.
I will add it to todo list for having it in next updates.

  5. Is it possible in the premium plus version to allow users to see the description of the pending and accepted bookings? We are using this plugin for users to book events, and we would like to allow users to see the description of the events that people have booked. For example if a user books friday 13th, with the description "Bachelor party", then all users hovering over that day will see that description.

Thank you for this amazing plugin.

    • Hello,
Unfortunately such functionality is not available yet.
But it's interesting idea, we will add it to todo list.
      Kind regards.

  6. Hello,

I am running the Premium version. My bookings are for 1-hour time slots at a given venue. This venue is open 6am-8pm on Monday thru Friday (so, separate bookings for 6am-7am, 7am-8am, 8am-9am, etc), and 6am-4pm on Saturday, closed all day on Sunday.

How do I reflect these two different hours of operation windows in my booking form? All I can figure out how to do is turn off bookings on Sunday...

    Thanks.

    • Hello Taylor,
Unfortunately, right now it's not possible at current 3.0 version to set the differnt time slots for the different week days, yet. Sorry.
Sunday you can set as unavailable date at the general booking settings page.
      Regards.

  7. Hi Sorry, but none of the instructions below make any sense to me

[-] How to insert booking form into post or page ? – I can't do this simple task

    1. Open the edit post / page menu. – Yes
    2. At the editor toolbar find new Booking Calendar button (with calendar icon), press it. – The only icon is visible on the side, is it the side editor toolbar or top editor toolbar.
    3. Make configuration of your settings at the popup dialog window – Cant find this.
    4. Insert Booking Calendar into post/page by pressing the Ok button at popup window – Cant see an OK button anywhere.
    5. Format of the inserted booking bookmark for insertion of booking form have to be similar to this: [ booking nummonths=1 type=1]
    6. Update or publish the page for saving the changes and test it.

    • Hello,
according point #2, please check to be sure that the content editor (TinyMCE) is in HTML mode, so then the booking button will be visible in that toolbar.

    Jimmy

    • Hello Jimmy,
firstly you are need to create 4 Season filters at the Booking > Settings > Filters page (November, 1-16 of Dec, 17-31 of Dec, 1-2 of Jan).
then you are need to open the Booking > Settings > Cost and availability page and click on the "Cost for selected days" button nearly your booking resource,
and then you can make your configuration of cost
PS. Please note, the cost will work correctly if the days will not the mix from the different season filters, its restriction is works for the "cost for the selected days".

  9. I have purchased premium plus. For a holiday booking site. Can it be used. When in the front search area of the site, they can search dates available? For all and then we can get only the places that are not booked to show in results?
