  1. Hi

    I have an urgent bug in my booking calendar.  We're using it for a karaoke room, booking per hour. If a user books one hour from 00:00 (midnight) the calendar shows the whole day as booked. Please take a look - https://bathkaraoke.com and feel free to put in a test booking.  This is obviously a very urgent issue as we loose a whole day of bookings if this one hour is booked.

    Thanks

    Tristan

    • I've tried changing the timeslots to begin at 1 minute past the hour i.e. 00:01, 19:01 etc.  This stops the whole day from being booked out but calculates the price at -£99,999!!! There are some pretty bad bugs in this software considering how much it was to buy!

      • Hello,
        for the fixing issue with cost,
        Please make this modifications:
        Please open the file ../booking/inc/biz_s.php
        find this function declaration:
        function get_booking_cost($booking_type, $booking_days_count, $times_array, $post_form, $is_discount_calculate = true, $is_only_original_cost = false){
        at the bottom of the function content find this code:
        $summ = round($summ,2); return $summ; }
        and replace it to this code:
        $summ = round($summ,0); return $summ; }

        • I'm afriad that fix hasn't worked.  I'm still getting the price below which seems to be the usual cost of £60 minus 999999.

          Cost: £-999 939.00

          Thanks

          Tristan

          • OK.  I've got a work around for this and that's to change all the times to going across midday rather than midnight.  This also solves the problem of having to select 2 days in order to book the room across midnight so it's a double win!

            • Ok, good to know that  its fixed.

              If you will have any other questions, please fill free to contact.

  2. Hi,

    I am currently configuring Booking Calendar system for a client and was wondering if it is possible within 'Advanced Costings' to add on an additional cost and multiply it by the visitors total (i.e. Hotel Party Pack £10 each * Visitors = X) a bit like your x/day calculation?

    ...I have looked through the comments and cannot see anything.

    Thanks.

    • Hello,
      Unfortunately, right now the multiply between the options of selectboxes or checkboxes at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page is not supported yet. Sorry.

      • Thanks - I'll use a pull down menu with number options.

        Two other questions:

        1) On the calendar - is it possible to disable tool tips that show times of day that are available when rolling over them (we want to only book half days i.e. up to 12 noon and then 12noon onwards.

        2) If an error has been detected with day selection (i.e. day is before current day) can we display error without time fields displaying (again we only allow booking of half days - so to allow users to enter times in the error fields could cause problems). Also, can the errors be styled/repositions?

        Thanks,

        Adam.

        • Hello.
          1) you can hide the mouseover tooltip with specific booked time, by making this customization:
          Please open the ../booking/css/client.css file and add to the bottom of that file this code:
          .wpdevbk.popover.top{ display: none !important; }

          2) Probably you are using the "fixed time" from the General Booking Settings page and do not want to show the "time fields", which are start showing during the error of booking.
          So firstly, please recehck the ID of booking resource of the booking form, where you are making the reservation at the Booking > Resources page. Let say the ID of this resource is 2.

          So then please open the ../booking/css/client.css file and add to the bottom of that file this code:
          #starttime2, #endtime2 { display: none !important; }

          You can configure the CSS style of the warning message by adding to the bottom of that file your CSS inside of the structure:
          .wpdev-help-message { ... YOUR CSS HERE ... }

          • Many thanks for your helpful and prompt responses on the above.

            A couple more issues that I hope you can help me with:

            1) Can the error text for invalid date entry be altered (i.e. Change 'Start Time' to 'Start date')?
            2) I have tried to add images to the emails that are generated by the system (i.e. <img src="https://www.website.co.uk/images/headerLogo.gif" width="100" height="100" alt="Name of company" />) but after adding them I no longer receive the emails (I'm guessing it is generating errors behind the scenes). Is there a correct way of adding images etc?).

            Many thanks,

            Adam.

            • Hello,
              1) you can change the warning message inside of the file: ../booking/inc/biz_s.php
              by modifications of this code:
              var message_starttime_error = '<?php echo esc_js(__('Start Time is invalid, probably by requesting time(s) already booked, or already in the past!', 'wpdev-booking')); ?>'; var message_endtime_error = '<?php echo esc_js(__('End Time is invalid, probably by requesting time(s) already booked, or already in the past, or less then start time if only 1 day selected.!', 'wpdev-booking')); ?>'; var message_rangetime_error = '<?php echo esc_js(__('Probably by requesting time(s) already booked, or already in the past!', 'wpdev-booking')); ?>'; var message_durationtime_error = '<?php echo esc_js(__('Probably by requesting time(s) already booked, or already in the past!', 'wpdev-booking')); ?>';

              2) Please recheck your error.log file at your server about the sending of the emails.

              also try to use just this code:
              <img src=”https://www.website.co.uk/images/headerLogo.gif” width=”100″ height=”100″ alt=”Name of company” />

  3. Hi, can you tell me if there is some way to retrieve booking details once the booked dates have passed?  I have the small business medium version.
    Cheers,
    Vicki.

    • Hello,
      you can check and see the bookings from the past by selecting the showing "All dates" instead of the "Actual dates" in the dates filter at the "Filter tab" at the Booking Listing page.

  4. Hi again,

    Is it possible to use single form items in emails. For example although I can configure the [content] on the forms page, could I use something like this:

    Hello [name],

    Thankyou for the booking...

    [content]

    ------------

    Many thanks,

    Adam.

    • Hello,
      I am understand you, but unfortunately, right now this functionality is not supported fully.
      Inside of the email templates you can use the shortcodes, only, which are described at the help section under the each of your email template.
      We will add this feature for the future updates.

      • Hi,

        It would also be handy if you could add [bookingtype] and date related short codes to the subject of email templates.

        Thanks,

        Adam.

        • Hello,
          we will add it to todo list for having this feature in the future updates.
          Regards.

  5. We are using the free version. we are a sight seeing tour company, we would like to be able to offer multiple bookings for the dame day.
    What is the least version I have to get to make this happen, or should I look into other software? We are a small company for now, but hope to grow and we do not need all the bells and whistles. Just need to make multiple bookings per day, what do I have to do.

    Thanks guys and gals! 🙂

    • Hello,
      the possibility to book several times for the same FULL date is possible at the Business Large version.
      At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it’s mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability.

  6. Hello,
    We have bought the business large version but are struggling to understand how you can allocate payments?  The customer places a booking and the total is shown in the booking list but if that customer has made a deposit payment it doesn't show anywhere and the totals don't update.  How exactly do we allocate cash payments to bookings so we can see how much is due.  There doesn't seem to be any way of setting a due date for payments either, is this possible?
    thanks,
    Richard.

    • Hello.
      If you are use the "deposit payment" feature so at the right side of booking you will see the full cost of the booking.
      The deposit amount and the balance you can find at the "Notes" section for the specific booking. You are need to click at the "Note" button at the right side of your booking, so then you can check that info or add your own additional comments.

  7. Hi,
    I've got hotel version of your plugin.

    I need to rent 5 apartments...
    I've been trying to configure the resources and has been impossible for me to do it right... If I create 1 parent with 4 childs (max. capacity 1) doesn't work. If I create just one with max capacity 5, neither... please help.

    Many thanks,
    David

  8. Hi,
    We are trying to see which version will work for our needs.
    We need to setup the ability for tenants at our office buildings to schedule uses of our conference rooms.
    There are 3 buildings, Building A, Building B and Building C
    Tenants should be able to schedule time slots (hourly) in the building of their choosing.
    Here is the other important part.. tenants should be able to choose multiple hours - such as ranges, like they need to schedule from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to have the conference room in Building A on August 10, 2012 - as an example.
    The time ranges may vary, but will always be sequential, so one tenant may need it from noon to 3pm - another tenant from 5 pm to 10 pm - do you see what i mean?
    Is the above scheduling possible? If so - which version would best suit our needs?

    • Hello ,

      The possibility to book for the specific time slots are possible at the Business Small and Business Medium versions. At these versions you can configure the time slots selections at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.

      You can configure there the possibility to select the start time and duration of the time, so in this case when some visitor is make the booking, the time range for this specific booking will be sequential, because visitor is select only start time and duration of time.

      You can have the time slot customization similar to this:

      Select start time: [select starttime "10:00" "11:00" "12:00" "13:00" "14:00" "15:00" "16:00"] Select the duration: [select durationtime "00:30" "01:00" "01:30" "02:00" "02:30" "03:00" ]

      Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

      Please read the Booking Calendar version overview here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/versions-overview/

  9. Hi admin!

    First; I really admire the work you put into the WP Booking Calendar.
    I've installed and it is really easy to use!

    However, as I have a very small restaurant and not so much income, I want my customers to book a date and time to visit to my restaurant.
    In the standard version, that's the only thing I miss now, Bookings for specific time in a day.

    Is there any way to grab my hands around this feature?

    Thanks in advance!

    Frank

  10. Does the wp bookingcalendar plugin integrate with google calendar?  If not, do you plan to incorporate that?  I have a client whose website uses the wpbookingcalendar plugin but they also have other events and activities listed in their central google calendar and they want the reservations to be displayed in their main website calendar.  Do you have any suggestions besides sync'ing with google calendar?  What about creating an iCal style invitation that can be sent to another calendar for recording?  Any help, direction, or response is appreciated.

    • Hello,
      Yes we are have the plans, but we are have also many other cool features for the integration in our todo list.
      The Google calendar integration (sync) is important feature, but its still in the development process yet. Hope this feature will be available asap.

      iCal integration also is inside of the plans for the integration, but its will be definitely after the Google calendar sync will be supported already.

      Unfortunately, right now I can not say about the exact date of the update, when its will be available. Sorry.
