  1. Hi,
    We have upgraded to booking.bs.4.0.1 running on WordPress 1.4.1 with Thesis 1.8.5.  When we try and save the settings page, it throws us out of the admin area of WordPress and to the 404 error page on the public facing site.  The URL is still ourdomain/wp-admin/admin.php?page=booking.bs.4.0.1/wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-option.  When we reload the page it goes back to the booking form.  This makes me think that the issue may be a permissions issue with an included file.
    We have tried de-installing and re-installing with the remove settings option checked, tried it with the TwentyEleven theme and nothing will fix the problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    • Hello Simon,

      Its seems that its issue relative to the permalink structure of your site. Please recheck carefully that you are have the correct Home URL and Site URL at the General WordPress Settings page. Also if you was transfered site from the one server to the other, you are need manually to open the DB wp_options table and recheck the URLs fields there.

      Also please try to recheck your error.log file according the reason of this issue.

      You can also try to remove or set as blank the .htaccess file to check if its help or not.

      Kind regards.

      • Thank you for your very prompts response.  The permalink seems to be working perfectly.
        I have checked the Home URL and site URL settings and they are correct both in WordPress and in the DB wp_options table.
        I have tried removing .htaccess but then the site does not work so that's no use.  I've cross checked the .htaccess file and it is identical to the .htaccess file on on two other sites I checked.
        The error that is being reported in the error_log is as follows:
        WordPress database error Table 'c5495522_wrdp1.wp_bookingtypes' doesn't exist for query SELECT bk.booking_id FROM wp_booking as bk
                                INNER JOIN wp_bookingtypes as bt
                                ON    bk.booking_type = bt.booking_type_id   WHERE  bk.is_new = 1 made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-includes/template-loader.php'), include('/themes/thesis_185/index.php'), thesis_html_framework, thesis_framework_full_width, thesis_wrap_footer, thesis_footer_area, thesis_footer, wp_footer, do_action('wp_footer'), call_user_func_array, wp_admin_bar_render, do_action_ref_array, call_user_func_array, wp_admin_bar_bookings_menu, getNumOfNewBookings
        If I run the query part of that i.e.
        SELECT bk.booking_id FROM wp_booking as bk
                                INNER JOIN wp_bookingtypes as bt
                                ON    bk.booking_type = bt.booking_type_id   WHERE  bk.is_new = 1
        it returns 4 records.
        Do you have any further suggestions I could try?  We have just upgraded to the business medium version and installed that and we are still getting the same result.

          • Hi,
            We are still not able to get this plugin to save the settings and so we are struggling to work with the plugin at all.
            We have created a brand new installation of WordPress exported the content and reimported it and re-installed all of the plugins we are using.  Just using the Twenty Eleven theme we get the following error when we try to save the settings:
            ===========================================
            Forbidden
            You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/admin.php on this server.
            Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
            ===========================================
            This on URl https://dev2.luxurycotswoldcottage.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=booking.bm.4.0.1/wpdev-booking.phpwpdev-booking-option
            We have NO permalink structure setup.  We have tried all of the previous suggestions plus a lot more, but we cannot get the plugin to save the settings page.  Any further suggestions?  Could it be our hosting company configuration?

            • Hello.
              The issue can be or with the server configurations. Or during the export import settings into your new site.
              Please try to make a new blank site and just install there the Booking Calendar without reimporting the data. So then we will check if the issue in import/export process or not.
              Kind ragards.

              • OK.  I see some light at the end of the tunnel.
                I have just installed the plugin at a fresh WordPress install on two different hosting companies.
                When I try to save the settings on hosting company a) I get the error ===========================================
                Forbidden
                You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/admin.php on this server.
                Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
                ===========================================
                On hosting company b) I get no error and the settings save.
                This means that there must be a setting on hosting company a) which is my customer(s) host which is causing the problem.  Can you suggest what I should ask my host to configure differently based on the error message above?

                • Its can  be some relative to the posting data (may be some restrictions on the POST requests, when you are in the admin panel).

                  they have to check the error logs files, and there have to be some info  about this issue.

  2. Hi ,
    i have a question regarding email ,is there any chance that a new booking information can be mailed to more than one person including the admin email ,please let me know some thing ,thanks in advance.

    Thanks
    Bhargaw

    • Hello,
      If yo are want that the info about the new booking is sending to the several admin emails, so then you can configure it at the Booking > Settings > Emails page the form field "To" in this format:
      email1@server1.com;email2@server2.com
      or if previous do not work try this format:
      email1@server1.com,email2@server2.com

  3. I'm running WordPress 3.4.1 and WP Booking Calendar 4.0.1. The issue we're running into is that the featured image along with the excerpt information is not properly showing up for the search page. What areas can we check to ensure this information is being referenced appropriately?

    • Hello,
      Probably its because of the conflict with exist theme.
      you can configure the structure of the search results at the Booking > Settings > Search page at the specific form. You can add the image and excerpt elements in to the DIV elements with specific CSS class. So then at the CSS file (for example here ../booking/css/client.css ) add the rules for the classes of those elements to show it in correct way.

  4. Hi,

    I just bought booking calendar small business. I installed it using FTP. But I keep getting this error "You have insufficient access to this page". I am in Admin mode already. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. Can you please help? I can email my purchase code if you guys need it.

    Thanks,

    Giancarlo

    • Hello.
      It's can be, when you are logged in as not admin but as user with some other role and in settings you at set the higher role for the specific booking admin pages.
      So, pleas log in as admin user, then open the general booking settings page and at the right side of this page set the specific roles for all booking admin pages.

      • Hi,

        Thanks for the quick reply. I am logged in as Admin and I keep getting the same error. I did not edit the roles general setting in the booking admin pages. And I just installed the plugin. Actually, while going through the settings, it allows me and then it disallows  me once I leave and go back to the settings.

        The roles that were set are:

        Bookings - Editor
        Add booking - Editor
        Resources - Editor
        Settings - Admin

        Any ideas?

        Thanks,

        Giancarlo

        • Hi again,

          Logged in as Admin and now I don't have access to the Resources, Add booking, etc. Please help.

          Cheers,

          Giancarlo

          • Hello.
            Please, try to set the user roles to the subscriber for the all pages at the general booking setting page. Then test it.
            If its not help, please send the screenshots of the general booking settings pages and the user profile pages and page with that issue to this email info @ wpbookingcalendar.com , so then we will recheck it.

            • Hi,

              I sent the email already with a PDF attachment of the screenshots. It is still the same. Maybe I have incomplete files during the download?

              Many thanks,

              Giancarlo

  5. We have just purchased the multi user small business version and I am a super user.  I have been adding resources today but I am now getting this error since about 2:45 pm EST this afternoon.
    The website cannot display the page

     HTTP 500

    Most likely causes:
    •The website is under maintenance.
    •The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.
    Go back to the previous page.
    More information

    Are there problems with the server?  Are there limits to how many resources you can add?  How do I delete the resources that I have added?

    Thanks,

    Connie

  6. Where and How do I access this folder BOOKING_PLUGIN_PATH/css/skins/?
    I want to put a white background for the month header and change the border color of selected dates from orange to green.
    Also how do I change the legend of # symbol to actual numbers instead?

    Like here : https://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4255/howtoop.png
     I am using version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.4.0.1  type Business Medium on wordpress 3.4

    • Hello.
      You can access to that file for the modifications using the Edit plugin menu page at the WordPress admin panel (expand the plugins menu then select the edit plugin menu page and select the plugin and that file).
      Or you can access to that file by FTP using this path ../wp-content/plugins/booking/CSS/client.css

      Where "booking" is the name of Booking Calendar folder.
      Regards.

        • Hello,

          1) you are need to edit this file: "booking.bm.4.0.1/css/client.css".

          2) According the removing the "#" symbol from the legend.

          You are need to open the "booking.bm.4.0.1/lib/wpdev-booking-class.php" file, find this function declaration:

          function get_legend(){

          and inside of the content of that function, replace this code:

                                  $my_result .= '<div class="block_hints datepick">';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_free datepick-days-cell"><a>#</a></div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Available','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_booked date_approved">#</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Booked','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_pending date2approve">#</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Pending','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  if ($this->wpdev_bk_personal !== false)
                                      if ($this->wpdev_bk_personal->wpdev_bk_biz_s !== false)
                                          $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_time timespartly">#</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Partially booked','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '</div><div class="wpdev_clear_hint"></div>';

          to this:

                                  $my_result .= '<div class="block_hints datepick">';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_free datepick-days-cell"><a>'.date('d').'</a></div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Available','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_booked date_approved">'.date('d').'</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Booked','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_pending date2approve">'.date('d').'</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Pending','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  if ($this->wpdev_bk_personal !== false)
                                      if ($this->wpdev_bk_personal->wpdev_bk_biz_s !== false)
                                          $my_result .= '<div class="wpdev_hint_with_text"><div class="block_time timespartly">'.date('d').'</div><div class="block_text">- '.__('Partially booked','wpdev-booking') .'</div></div>';
                                  $my_result .= '</div><div class="wpdev_clear_hint"></div>';

          • Hi, i've found the folder.
            Can you help me with customizing the colors?

            How do I put a white background for the month header
            How do I customize colors of the calendar (to show available days with a green frame instead of orange frame)
            Thanks

            • Hi I did the input on PHP and now i cannot access my whole site as it says

              Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/abis/www/wp-content/plugins/booking.bm.4.0.1/lib/wpdev-booking-class.php on line 3121

              PLEASE HELP! 🙁

              • Hello,
                probably, you are made mistake in the code, thats why you are get this issue.
                For fixing it. Please open the /home/abis/www/wp-content/plugins/ folder using some FTP application, then delete the booking.bm.4.0.1 folder.
                After open the wordpress admin panel and make the installation of the Booking calendar again from the backup or as a new version.

            • Hello.

              Please send the link to the page with the booking form, where your want to have the new look of the calendar.

              • Ok, got my site back. that was a scare. can you please give me the right php for the legend? Is the ‘.date(‘d’).’ supposed to be filled up specifically with the number? Thanks.

                • Yes, that code is for showing the current date instead of # symbol.
                  Please try to replace the # to that code manually at that file.
                  If you will not get success, so please reply and I will send to you entire file then.

                  • Hi still no luck with fixing the look for:

                    1. white background for the month header and change the border color of selected dates from orange to green.

                    2. changing the legend of # symbol to actual numbers instead?  Like here : https://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4255/howtoop.png
                     I am using version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.4.0.1  type Business Medium on wordpress 3.4
                    The link to the booking page is here: https://2bis.fr/reservations/
                    Please send me the entire file instead.

                    Thanks in advance, I really appreciate all the help.

                    • Hello,
                      I am sent the updated files to your email.
                      Please note, usually we are do not make such type of customization, because its already personal customization of the product, which we are do not provide, right now.
                      Thank you for understanding.

  7. I have already done a clean install previously following the troubleshooting step you suggested above.  It made no difference.  When I did it, I also checked in wp_options to see if all of the booking meta values were cleared out and they were.
    Also, if you look carefully at that error I reported previously, whilst it's saying that the table does not exist, when I ran the query manually it returns 4 records.
    All the db tables are there as expected.  The plugin is working fine apart from when I try to save the settings page.  All of the other functions are working fine.
    I have cross checked a clean install on another copy of WordPress which works fine, set up in the same way and the table structures are identical.  The following tables are all present and correct: wp_booking, wp_bookingdates, wp_bookingtypes, wp_booking_seasons, wp_booking_types_meta.

    • Hello.
      Please recheck that all fields at the wp_bookingtype table is exist as at other installations. Otherwise please recheck that your MySQL user at the WordPress installation have the rights for the table altering and then make reinstall.

      If the all fields are exist, so then it's seems that it's problem in the permalink structure or so. Did you make the clean installations of the WordPress do this site or you are made some transfer? Or are you are changed the permalink structure previously, may be? If yes, it's can be a reason of that issue. And it's require to search the fix in the URLs in the WordPress tables, where all links have to be correct or may be .htacces file have some issue.

    • Hello,
      probably you are checked the August, 2012 month, there is most of the dates are unavailable, because they are at the past. Thats why the background of those dates (days cells) are the same as background of the calendar. If you are scroll to the September month you will see the cells for the all days.
      Anyhow if you are want to change the background of the day cell, so please open this file: https://www.thediveaonang.com/wp-content/plugins/booking/css/skins/traditional.css
      at line: 114

      and make this modifications:

      .datepick-inline table.datepick td a {
      background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #AAAAAA;
      color: #444444;
      height: 40px;
      line-height: 38px;
      }

  8. I'd like to display available hours, rather than available days.
    Is this possible with my version, or any version, or this software?
    I bought because your site says "Great for...any other service, where can be done reservation for some days or hours."

    I'm running Business Small 4.0.1.

    • Hello,
      the time slots is possible to book only for the specific date. So if you have only one specific date for the reservation and you do not want to show the calendar for the selection of the day and then selection of the available hour, you can select the showing only the booking form and not the booking calendar (you will be need to select the specific date) at the popup configuration dialog, during inserting the booking shortcode into the post or page. Here is instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/

      Please note, if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot (at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), in your case its already predefined date), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

  9. Cancel reservation by visitor - I can't see where this option is turned on.  How can a user cancel their own reservation.
