  1. Hi.
    I wanna use this to make hotel reservations. Wich plan should I use?
    Is it able to see the different plans after checking the disponibility per day?
    Can we make promotions? Is that what is done with coupons?

    • Hello.
      The version, which you can check is depend from how you are want to make the bookings at your site. Probably you will need to check the Business Large version, because only at this version is possible to configure the coupon codes for the discounts (you can configure it at the Booking > Resources > Coupons page).
      At the Booking Calendar Business Large version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it’s mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability.
      Also at this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters.

  2. I have a premium version of this plugin, however due to a recent hacking many plugins have stopped functioning properly, this one included. I need to completely reinstall, but I have a lot of bookings I do not want to lose. Is there an easy way to export and import them into the clean install?

    • Hello,
      Unfortunately, there is no way to import/export booking data using some tool inside of the Booking Calendar.
      You are need to make the backup of all tables in DB, with names of tables starting from "wp_booking"
      also you are need to make the backup of the options table of the wordpress table, where is saved the "bookings settings configuration",
      after this you are need to restore it at the new DB.

    We have some trouble with the "hour" test. For example, if our costumer ask for startime at 18:00 and a endtime at 10:00 for only one night, we have a error message...
    How can we desactivate this test please ?

    • Hello.
      For be able to book for those times, you are need to select at least 2 days. If you are select only 1 date, so then system will get that the start time 18:00 is older then end time 10:00, what is incorrect. Also if you are select 2 days (or several days) and start date is a today date, so then please recheck that the current time was not older then start time.

      Also Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability.

  4. I have purchased the Personal Version of this Plugin for my multi-home rental site so that people could visit each of my homes and book that specific resource from that specific page.

    I have added the Booking Calendar widget to my Page Sidebar under Appearance - Widgets.

    When I edit a page, I do not see how I assign a specific resource for that page. The Calendar Widget Does not show up.

    I have 21 different homes that I rent, and each one needs it own Calendar assigned to that page.

    How do I assign a Resource to a specific page? 

    • Hello.
      Please recheck that you are installed correctly the booking calendar paid version and do not use right now the free version. You can check it at the general booking settings page at the right side of page. There is description about the version.

      If you are insert the booking form into your site using the booking widget, so then you can configure the booking resource for that widget at the Appearence Widget menu page in the settings section of the Booking Calendar widget. But then you will need to insert several booking calendar widgets for the each of your resources and "somehow" define where to show the specific widget and at what page do not show the widget.

      So most probably you are need to use other way of inserting the booking forms. Inserting the booking form directly into the pages or posts. Please check this instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/ So you will be able to select the booking resource for the specific post at the popup configuration dialog.

      • Here is a feature request:

        In the resources section provide the ability to associate the ID with a post ID

        That way, when I use the widget, it calls the Post ID for the page it is on and pulls that specific resource to be shown.

        Unless you know the code to make this possible using the text widget?

    • seems you are wanting custom sidebars, a different wordpress plugin, you can then have a sidebar for each page you like, and assign the booking widget and select resources for that calendar only, im doing this on a multi property website im doing now, thing is, you will only be able to select the resources that show on page 1 of the resources page, seems itsw a bug i am about to write this as a help question to the dev after i hit send on this one, seems i can only choose about 8 resources of the 30 i have created when selecting the resource in the widget resource type

  5. When adding the shortcode inside the pages, the calendar pushes my map all the way to the bottom of the screen as seen here:

    I am setting up your medium business version for a client and have come across the following problem when testing payments through paypal standard using the sandbox. 

    The booking calendar is set to request a deposit for the booking.
    The deposit request is passed successfully to paypal.
    On successful paypal payment the payment status of the booking is set to 'payment Paid OK' and the full amount is shown in the payment request field.

    I would have thought that a 'payment Part Payment OK' would be more appropriate and the amount in the request payment field would be altered to reflect the deposit being received. It would also be good if the successful payment was logged to the notes section.

      Let I am explain how it deposit payment feature is working at the actual version 4.0.1.

      Firstly according the According configuration of this payments.
      Please read firstly this article about the correct configuration of the "payment link" :

      Then open the Booking > Settings > Emails page and configure and set active the "Payment request" email.
      Now open the General Booking Settings page and set checked this option: "Deposit payment:" at the "Costs" section.
      You can open the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page and by clicking the "Deposit amount" button configure the deposit amount value.

      This cost will be show in the payment form, after visitor is made the reservation.
      So probably its cost will be smaller than full amount. And your visitors can make the payment of that amount.
      At the admin panel at the booking listing page for the specific booking you will see in the cost field the FULL cost, but inside of the "notes section" (you can activate it by pressing the note button at the right side of the each section), you will see the description similar to this:

      Total cost: $135.00 /deposit: $54.00, balance: $81.00/ - 07.22.2012

      If you are want to request from the visitor to pay the rest of the sum, you are need firstly

      1) Edit the cost of the booking, and enter the sum, which will show at the payment form. You are need to change the cost and then press the save button to save the new cost.
      2) Press the send payment request button to send the email with link to the payment form for the specific booking.

  8. We are running Booking Calender version 9.Premium.SingleSite.3.0 and WordPress 3.4.2.
    Since upgrade of WordPress the calendar view are missing when making a booking (Add Booking). The menu symbols with Booked, Pending and so on are there but no calendar to select date from.

    We have now version as above and do not know if there is an new version that solves this and how to install that version

      If you are mean having issue at the "Booking > Add Booking page", so most probably you are have some JavaScript errors.
      Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ at the troubleshooting section.

      Please recheck that you are use the version of jQuery 1.7.1 or newer (its included into the recent version of WordPress installation).
      Please recheck that you are not deactivated the loading of the JavaScript files at the General Booking Settings page at "Advanced options" section at the top of page.

    I purchased Business Small version and my order number is ########. I setup and added 4 resources and tested all works well except one big issue. Somehow, my client students are not able to add booking if someone previously booked same day. I tried to configure out and checked all setting but failed to configure. Do you tell me how will allow system to add multiple bookings on same day. Have a look at https://www.drrubytraining.com.au/courses/rsa/. There are 3 booking have been made but user cannot book on these days. I can understand old day you cannot but what about future day like 6th Oct. It is just deactivated and I cannot click. Can you please look into for me>

Please tell me Business Small allows multiple bookings on the same day? If not then please advise us which version we have to upgrade. I am little frustrated now.

  10. Hi, I´ve bought the Business Small for a client who´ll use the calendar for others businesses to book meetingrooms. I´m looking for how to let the visitors see what times each day that are available, how do I set up for that?

        But is it a way to let the visitors choose month - week - or day-view. And in the day-view, they get a overview over which times that day that are available?

          Right now at the Booking Calendar is support only inline month view mode calendar. The calendar with week view or with day view is not supported yet. sorry.
