  1. Hi, very nice plugin. Probably I'm going to buy the Premium Plus version. I'd like to ask you something before I buy it: Is there some kind of admin confirmation feature?
    I do not want my users to book and pay automatically. I'd like them to "just ask" for a reservation and wait for my confirmation. After I confirmed availability, they will receive a mail with instructions for payment or a link to Paypal pay system.
    That is because the website isn't the only media I use for booking. I want to avoid online booking in the same moment I confirm a phone or live reservation, that would generate an overbooking I cannot manage.

    Hope I wrote right and understandable, English is not my first language, I'm sorry.

      You can disable the payment possibility at the booking form, after the visitors is finish their reservation, by setting cost of booking resource to 0. So in this case the visitors will see the thank you message or redirect to thank you page after reservation is done. But on premium plus version, after visitor is made his reservation the reserved time and/or day(s) in calendar become unavailable for other visitors.

      Then after you are recheck this reservation at admin panel, you can set some cost for this reservation and can send payment request to the visitor by email, using special button in booking admin panel. Or you can just make cancellation of that reservation.

      Please test it at live demo of this version.

Hi - i've just followed the steps in "How to to customize booking form for having several steps of reservation process" and it works beautifully! - thanks! one thing though - if you separate the steps like this - ie step 1 [calender], step 2 [rest] - if you're on step 2 where the submit button is - if there's a validation error on step 1, the system seems broke as the submit button won't press! - it leaves the user in limbo - its like the system is broke! - it's only when you go back to step 1 - you see the validation errors! - is there any way around this from occurring?

    • Hello, but if you have at step2 all the fields, the warning messages have to show at the second step. For the step1 have to show only message about non selected days (as alert popup).
      If you have other situation at your site, please send the link to the page with bookimg form, I will recheck it.

    I'm interested in buying your premium booking calendar pack and was wondering is it possible to set up a booking calendar so that a front-end user can make bookings for appointments during specific times during the day/week ahead which are allotted by "contributor" level user at the back-end of the site?

    • Hello Noah,
      if you want that your wordpress users, be able to configure independently from other wordpress users for own booking resources - some specific time slots configurations, so then you are need to check MultiUser version. Where each wordpress user can have own booking admin panel, own booking resources and own booking form configuration and co not see these data at admin panel from other users.
      If you mean something else, please explain it more detail in some exmaple.

  4. I have 2 different time slots ranges available for resource depending on the day the customer chooses. So what I did was is create a resource call "Sat Party Room" and "Sun Party Room" and then created form fields called "Saturday" and "Sunday". This gives me the option to give different time slot ranges for which day they choose. This will work for external customers going to website but now when internal employees go to "Add Booking" in management it only defaults to standard. Is there a way to change the form for "Add Booking" per resource? Also looking a this scenario is there a better way to do this?

      Inside of Admin panel "Add booking" page, righ now support only one standard booking form.
      So, you can define inside of this form all fields, which can be in other forms. And in additional have 2 other forms for client side, as at your description.
      At the future versions update, its process will be impoved, and inside of the "Add booking" menu page will be possible to select specific booking form.

  5. Hello,
    I bought the Professionnal Version of the Booking Calendar, but I can't get what I want..
    We've got some resources which have the same caracteristics, for example : "Rooms with Lake view" (3 rooms) and "Room with mountain view" (4 rooms). I would like to implement the booking system, but, actually, when I approve a reservation a client for the "Rooms with Lake view", all of the rooms are booked... because I had not created 7 resources, but only 2 (for the rooms types).
    I would like the type of rooms ("Rooms with Lake view") to be booked only when the 3 rooms are booked for the same night, on one calendar only.
    Is there a way to do that?

      this functionality is exist at the Booking Calendar Hotel Edition version. This version is have posibility to set capacity of booking resource (in your situation type of room), it's
      mean that day(s) in calendar will be available, until number of reservations, is less then capacity. So for exmaple you can create some booking resource (type of room), set capacity of this booking resource, and your visitors at the client side can make resrvations, untill the number of this resrvations per specific date is less then capcity in other words, untill all rooms of same type will not be booked.
      You can make upgrade to this version, using upgrade link at the top right side of Booking > Settings page of your version of plugin.

  6. I have a question about links on the Dashboard when logging in - right now it shows 1 actual booking and 2 pending bookings, when in reality there are 0 actual bookings and 1 pending booking. Why are these numbers wrong? How do they get updated?

    • Hello,
      Its possible, that you are deleted some booking resources, and at dashboard is showing bookings from those booking resources (which is not deleted with own booking resource). Its issue will be fixed in next update.

      • Can I manually remove these from the database? My clients find it confusing to have bookings that don't exist when they try to click on the link in the dashboard.

        • Yes, you can. You can open the DB tablle: wp_booking, and then set for all rows at the collumnt is_new the value 0

  7. Hello,
    I'm using version Hotel and I was wondering if it's possible to choose "Week booking" or "range selection" for just some ressources but not all ?
    For some of my ressources I need to book them per day and some others per week.

      Sorry, right now range selections can apply only to all resources. The posibility, like in your description will be avilable in future updates.

  8. I emailed this question but will post here too in case this might help someone else out. We're using the Hotel edition to sell 13 seats/day on a shuttle bus. The capacity isn't working right - if we sell 13 seats to one person, the number of available seats only drops to 12, when it should be 0. No matter how many seats are purchased at a time, only 1 ticket is removed from the available pool so that 13 individual visitors would have to make a purchase before the bus is filled for the day. Help.

      Its because of incorrect configuration.
      1) Firstly, you need to have booking resource with capacity more than 1.
      2) Then you need to open general booking settings page (in version 2.8 and older Booking > Settings > Resource page), find the option "Visitors number apply to capacity:" and make it checked. Then under this option at the radio box selection set select this option: "Check maximum support of visitors at all booking resources with selected number of visitors from booking form: "
      3) Finally you need to use this shortcode inside of booking form: [select visitors "1" "2" "3" "4"] . So inside of booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page its will look somthing like this:
      <p>Number of seats:<br />[select visitors "1" "2" "3" "4" "5" "6" "7" "8" "9" "10" "11" "12" "13"]</p>
      (Its seems that point #3 is not correct configured in your situation).

  9. Hi, we have purchased the Premium plugin and were under the understanding that we would be able to apply a deposit payment for bookings. I can't seem to find it as an option? Sorry if I am being a bit dumb, can you please let me know how we can do this. Thank you.

    • Hello James,
      this feature "deposit payment feature" is exist at the Premium Plus and higher version. You can check it at the feature list here, or test in live demos.
      You can make upgrade to one of these versions, using link at the top right side of Booking > Settings page.

  10. Is it possible to change the messages that display -- for example, "The booking is cancel successfully". I'd like to use "has been cancelled" instead of "is cancel".

      Its will be fixed in next updates.
      Right now you can find this message a the booking/lib/wpdev-booking-class.php file and fix it.

      • Thanks so much. There are also messages about hashes, which users won't understand (e.g. if a user tries to edit a reservation that's been changed). Is it possible to fix these?

        • Hello Sara,
          if you just open the page with [bookingedit] shortcode, its will not give posibility to edit some bookings. For getting link to the page for editing the booking, which was done by visitor, you need to make these steps:
          1) create new page, and insert into the content of page this shortcode: [bookingedit]
          2) insert into the field "URL for booking edit", link to that page at the general booking settings page.
          3) check that at the email templates, which are sending t the visitors are exist shortcode for editing the bookings (help info about shortcodes at the bottom of each email template).
          4) make new resrvation, receive the email, click at the edit booking link and test it.
