  1. Hello, I cannot find the tinymce icon in the page editor in WP. What do I do?

    • Hello,
      You need to recheck that Booking Calendar is activated at the wordpress plugins menu page.
      Then you need to open new post or new page wordpress menu page.
      At the edit toolbar menu you need to see the new button with calendar icon inside. So after clicking at they button you can insert booking form
      shortcode into the post or page.

      • I do not see it still. I did however deactivate the wysiwyg I use called CKEditor for WordPress and now I see it. How do I get your icon to show up while using CKEditor? CKEditor is a very popular plug in.

        • The support of CKEditor will be exist at some future updates. Untill now you are need to deactivate this plugin make inserttion of booking shortcode into the posts or pages and then activate that plugin again.

          • Please hurry as I will be purchasing premium plus and expect for that price that your plug in will be supported to a higher lvel than most plug-ins and at least play well with other well known and popular solutions.

            • Right now it's completely support latest WordPress version.
              The support of some other plugins, you can check with Booking Calendar Free version.
              We will add the solution for supporting also for the CKEditor, but we can not say right now exact time of this. We are have many items in todo list and many nice features for integration. So hope on your understanding.

  2. Hi, was wondering if you could help, two things… when clicking the tinymce button within a page nothing appears so therefore I’m unable to insert, secondary when I then hardcode the booking calendar into the template only the booking form appears and not the calendar, as mentioned in your FAQ this could be due to other plugin complications however I have disabled all other plugins but still no luck, any suggestions? I have a feeling these two problems are linked, Cheers.

    • Hello David,
      I can suggest that all these issues are because of the JavaScript errors at the client and admin side of your wordpress site. You need to fix them.
      If you deactivated all plugins but issue is still exist, so then this errors is generated your actual theme. Please try to deactivate it and activate standard wordpress theme then test it again.
      After you will need to recheck the pages according Javascript errors with your theme, which can generate this errors and try to fix these errors. after this Booking Calendar have to start work correctly.

  3. I am wanting to be able to create a room share ( combine room 7 and 8) to create a two room suite- BUT have the ability to either share the room or fractionalize it...so Bob Guest can book the suite- but only 1/2 of it...and the 1/2 Sue Guest can book it... is this possible??

    • Hello,
      I can suggest that you can make it at the Hotel Edition version, where you can create booking resource with capacity = 2. It's mean that this resource will consist 2 booking resources inside. So you can publish the booking forms for child resources or publish at some other page the parent resource.
      Please test it at live demo of Hotel Edition version.

  4. In looking at the hotel demo- admin- I didn't find a report option or what type of reports are available? Sales, Sales tax, specific credit cards used?

      The reports about sales, tax, credit cards are not exist at the Booking Calendar. I can suggest that this type of reports are exist at your payment systems, like Paypal, Sage or iPay88, which is integrated in Booking Calendar.

      According reporting about bookings, like showing bookings from past or group bookings by customers or even print or export bookings, so then these features are exist at the Booking Manager Pro plugin, which is work togather with Booking Calendar.   5. How do I post an event on this calendar. I understand how to book and appointment; however, I would like to post an event such as a seminar or training and have visitors register.

    • Hello,
      This feature is exist at the Booking Calendar Hotel Edition version.
      At this version you need firstly to define capacity of the booking resource - number of reservations per specific dates (events dates), until these date(s) become unavailable. You an make it at the Booking > Resource page.
      Then you can set available in calendar only dates of your event. For this please open the Booking > Settings > Filters page and define your dates of events. Then at the Cost and Availability menu settings page se these dates from filter as available and all other dates as unavailable for your booking resource (parent resource, which have some capacity - you are set it early).
      You can test all these functionality at live demo of Hotel Edition version.

    I have a few questions.
    -How do I make it on the form so someone can book for themselves and their group. For example, I am doing a tour of up to 6 people. How can I let the customer book for their whole family or friends? For example, 3 people.When I select the drop down "Visitors" it does not update the total amount that is payable.
    Where do I set the amount of people that I am able to book in one tour?
    -How can I add my provincial sales tax into the form? Do I have to do that at the Paypal portion of the checkout?
    -I set the amount of each booking to $99, yet when I click on the first one, it shows $20.63, then every other booking after that is 99. Why is that? I can't see 20.63 anywhere in the options....
    Very frustrating....

    • Hello Nat,
      1) Fistly you need to recheck that inside of Booking > Settings > Firlds page at the top form for the visitors selection, you are use shortcode like this: [select visitors "1" "2" "3" "4"], right now only this shortcode "visitors" can be used or the capacity impact. Then you need to open the Booking > Settings page and at the bootom of page set checked this option: "Visitors number apply to capacity:", at the radio button, inder this option you need to set "Check maximum support of visitors at all booking resources with selected number of visitors from booking form", update the settings page. And of course at the Booking form, which you are test you need to have booking resource with some capacity, which you can modify at the Booking > Resource page. Now you can test it.

      2) According setting tax and some additional costs. you can insert into the Booking form, at the Booking > Settings > Fields page some required checkbox, lile this:
      Tax: [checkbox* my_tax ""]
      and at the Booking > Settings > Payment page at the advanced cost managment section for the option my_tax, set some additional cost.
      For example for the tax 6% you need to set value 106% there.
      Also you can check this option at the Paypal side, but I am do not sure about that.

      3) Please check firstly, that you do not set at the Booking > Settings > Cost and availbality page at the "Cost for selected days" some special cost for the one date selection for your booking resource.

      After please check that you do not have at the Booking > Settings > Fields page at the top form some time selection OR do not have activated fixed time at the general booking settings page. the time is can impact to the final cost. If you need to use the time and you use version 3.0 so then you can deactivate this time impact to the final cost at the Booking > Settings > Payment page by unchecking this option: Check this checkbox if you want that time selection at booking form is apply to cost calculation.

        I cant see any "Visitors number apply to capacity" at the bottom of the settings page.. What version of you booking system is this included in? Maybe I need to upgrade?

        • It's exist at Hotel Edition version.
          If you use this version please also check version number, if it's older then 2.9 so then this option at Booking > Settings > Resources page.

    I have a question regarding paypal integration - is it possible to have users pay via paypal with a credit card as well as just via a paypal account?

    • Hello,
      Right now Booking Calendar support Paypal Standard (which is support payment for visitors, only with creating or logging in to Paypal account) and Paypal Pro hosted solution, which is not required from visitors to create the account, so visitors can immediately fill the payment form at Paypal site and make the payment.

      • Thank you very much for that. Is that called 'Payflow Link'? (It looks like Paypal pro is for integration into your own website, not hosted by them...) One other quick question... Is it correct that currently there is no way to have, for instance, blocks of 5 days (Mon-Fri) and of 2 days (Sat-Sun) set on the same calendar, so that users either have to book 5 or 2 days?

          1) Right now Booking Calendar is support Paypal standard integration and Paypal Pro Hosted solution. But in last integration is not supported iframes, so thats why its not possible to make payment at the same customer site, and visitors will be still redirected to the paypal site for finishing payment, but in this case he will not require create of paypal account, just fill the billing form details at paypal site.
          2) You can set range days selection using 2 mouse clicks, and there you can set minimum 2 days selection - maximum 5. You can even select configuration that your visitor be able to select only 2 or 5 days. But its not possible to apply these selections to the week days. In other words, the visitor can select 5 days starting from Sat.

          • Thanks again. So, with one-click range selection, you can only have one range? What I was hoping for was one-click selection for weekends and weekdays, and not to allow selection of other ranges...

            • Yes, with one-click range selection, you can have only one range type selection.

              • OK, thank you. I was looking for a way to force users to either pick a Mon-Fri or Sat-Sun and no other ranges.

    Firstly thanks for giving us such a great tool, you seem very passionate about your project.
    Secundo, How can I set the dimensions of the calendar. I found it too big and intrusive. Wich .css should I change...and how?

    (and btw...the export and export all function in booking manager pro (in your demo) generate a .csv not good looking at all. many. Could you take a look?

      You need to change CSS at the booking/css/client.css file.
      Please send link to the page with your booking form and if possible picture how you want that its look like and I will help you. You can send this data to this email info @ onlinebookingcalendar.com.
      P.S. Export to CSV is working correctly, when you open the CSV file, for example in Microsoft Excel 2010. The issue at some situation can be in usage seperators of data. Right now plugin is use ; seperator there.

  9. Hi.
    Have it been made yet, so when people click the Paypal-link, it takes them straight to a page where they insert creditcard information? Or how do I do that? You know, so they don't have to have a Paypal account, but could just book and pay, no sign-up needed?

      Since version 2.9 and later at the Booking Calendar Premium and higher versions is exist suppprt of Paypal Pro hosted solution integration (iframes are not supported yet), so it's mean, that for visitors, who made the booking, I'd not obligatory to create or have some paypal account for making payment. They can fill all billing data at paypal site without creating paypal account.

  10. Is it possible to set the calendar to start showing in 2012? Our facility will not be open until then, and I would prefer to not make people scroll through 2011.

      Yes it's possible. You just need to select your month and year of start showing in calendar, when you are inserting booking shortcode into post or page at the booking popup configuration dialog.
