  2. Dear Sir/Mrs.

    We are looking for a booking system for a hotel and checked your demo. The product looks great, but we have found some problems when setting the dates filtes for the pricing.

    Most of the hotels we know have season rates like this:

    1 jan to 25 feb: 72,40€
    26 feb to 12 may: 82,50€
    ...

    The problem is that the filter only allows to choose full months and there’s no way to create a filter beetween two dates.

    Is there some way to do this with your booking system?

    • Hello Angel.
      You just need to create several filters like these:
      1 - 31 Jan = 72.40
      1 - 25 Feb = 72.40
      25 - 28 Feb = 82.50
      01 - 31 Mar, Apr = 82.50
      01 - 12 May = 82.50
      ....

        This will make the trick. But maybe is a little confusing becouse instead of Low, med, high season filters you'll need many different ones.

        I will be great to have the posibility of creating filters with dates range in future versions of the extension.

        • I will add it to todo list to have posibility for creating more complex filters.
          But right now the sollution, like in previos description.

  3. Hi, I am using the Hotel Edition of the plugin, version 9.Hotel.Edition.2.8: I would know if is there a way (or maybe a new feature in an upgrade I missed) to set up a scheme like this:
    1- the user chooses resource, dates and clicks the confirmation button
    2- he arrives to another page where he chooses the payment method, and clicks the confirmation button
    3- finally, he arrives to a thank you page

    • Hello Marco,
      this functionality is exist at the exist your version, but with little exceptions.
      1) If you want to select your booking resources at one page and do not insert them into several pages, so then you can check this help info
      2) the payment form are show only at the same page, its loading with Ajax request. At this payment form can be show one or several payment buttons for Paypal, Sage, iPay88 payment systems.
      3) The returning from the payment site to the thank you page, is also possible. You can configure it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page at the each section of payment forms. But visitor, need to click at the return to your thank you page at the payment form at payment site, when her will finish payment process.

    I just purchased a single licence for the premium version of Booking for $119. I have it all set up and I click on the calendar icon to add it to my page, but when I look at the page in the visual editor or preview it is blank and the booking calendar and table are not showing up.

    Am I doing something wrong?

      Did you see the booking shortcode inside of your page ?
      Please try to make one more time inserttion of booking form into your page. Then make Publish or Update of this page and check it.
      If you are still will have difficulties with showing booking form, please send the link to this page for rechecking it. Also please send the content of this page from your edit form.
      So then I will check and help you.

      • Thanks that worked! One other question can I show the date selection as a drop down menu of dates as apposed to a calendar?

        • Sorry, right now this functionality is not supported yet.
          Right now booking calendar is support only inline calendars for days selection.

          • I am using this for a golf course for booking tee times, can I still have mulitple people book on the same day and let them select a time in form fields are by creating a time field?

            • This functionality, posibility to book for specific time (the time slots become unavailbale after booking by visitors), is exist at the Premium and Premium Plus versions.
              You can test it at live demos here https://onlinebookingcalendar.com/demo/
              You can upgrade to one of these version, using the upgrade link at the general booking settings page at right side of page.

              • How about the ability to have more than one booking on the same day? like booking 5 rounds of golf or 6 hotel rooms in one day each from different visitors?

                • If its will be in different times, so then its possible at those versions. But if you want to have posibility to book 5 times for the same timeslot at the same calendar so then its not possible.
                  At the Hotel Edition version is possible to make several bookings per FULL date (not a time slot), at this version you can set capcity of the booking resource - so days in calendar will be availbale, untill number of resrvations per these day(s) is less then capacity. But its work in this version only for full date, not time slot.

                  Please test all these functionality in live demos of these version, to be sure in functionality.

    I currently have two resources set up (Premium Plus) and ideally I want separate rage selection settings on both however as I am aware the current version does now allow that, therefore I’m thinking of other possibilities and was wondering if you could help... I need each resource to only have certain blocks of dates available to select, I was thinking perhaps of a drop down instead of a calendar where each block of dates could be selectable (example: 12/04/11 – 18/04/11, 20/04/11 – 23/04/11, and so on)

    Any advice would be most grateful,

    • Hello Dave,
      right now you can block some dates in calendar at this version only using the season filter.
      But if you are mean posibility to set independent different dates ranges selection for the different booking resources, so right now its not possible yet.
      You can set only one date range selection set (rule) for all booking resources.
      These feature will be availbale in future versions updates.

      • Thanks for getting back to me, one other thing, if somebody currently books those dates booked become unavailable to everyone else, is there a way the days will still be available despite being booked by another person?

        • At the Hotel Edition version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so its mean that days will be available untill number of resrvations per these days are less then capacity of the booking resource.
          Please note, in this case the booking will go on for full dates only, not the specific time slots.
          Please test it at live demos. You can also make upgrade to this version, using the upgrade link at the Booking > Settings page.

    • actually, its because on this install i did not use a database prefix.

        if you sure that you do not use prefix for tables in your wordpress installation, so then you can comment these lines.

  8. I've installed the free version of Calendar. I'd like to center the calendar instead of having it up against the left margin. How can I do that?

      please send link to the page with booking calendar, so I will check it and then try to help you.

      You can also try todo its by yourself by editing the content of your page, where you are inserted the booking form. You need to have booking form inside of center HTML tags, something like this:
      <center> [booking] </center>

      • I want to center the 2-month calendar of dates, and the hints below it, in the it's in, not the booking form as a whole. I'd like the calendar to be centered over the email form instead of left-aligned with it. So I suspect this means working with at least some .css files. But I'm a novice at modifying css files and haven't been successful in my tinkering with them. I was hoping you might be able to give me a hint about where I could make this change.       • My reply got garbled a little bit. I am using the Traditional calendar skin. Here's what I see with FireBug and what I want to accomplish:

        On the web page, I see a form with an id of booking_form1 with class bookingform. Within that are divs of calendar_booking1 with class hasDatepick and another with class block_hints datepick. Within the calendar_booking1 div a div with class="datepick-inline datepick-multi" and I want to center that div within calendar_booking1. Then I'd like to place the hints to line up with the centered calendar.

        I hope this can be accomplished by modifying the css, but I'm not expert on css and couldn't find where to accomplish that. Any pointers would be most appreciated.

  9. Hi, I'm just trying out the free version of your booking calendar and I have a few questions. Is it possible to show three months with an option to view additional months? The only way I can think of to show more if desired is to link to another page showing a full year. Also, is it possible to resize the calendar, and to make the months line up vertically rather than horizontally? Thanks -- nice plugin!

    • Hello Myrna.
      1) yes it's possible, you just need during insertion of booking calendar into the post or page at the configuration popup dialog select the number of visible months in calendar. So you can set there 3 months, other months you can see by scrolling to them using arrow buttons at the top corners of calendar.
      2) it's possible to show up to 12 months visible. Also it's possible to show months vertically but it's will require customization in CSS of calendar skin.

I don't have any arrows showing at the top of my calendar; I inserted it on my page using [bookingcalendar nummonths=3] -- did I maybe miss something in setup? Ideally I'd like to show three months across the bottom of the page, and then if I can get the option of scrolling forward or back, that would be perfect. Thanks again.

        • Can you send the link to the page with booking form, for rechecking it.
          May be there is some CSS conflict with actual theme. So I will check and help you.

  10. I'm having an issue with appointment (booking) times. My client wants to be able to specify, for each day, what times she is available to take appointments. I see where I can exclude whole days, but I don't see a way to customize which appointment times are available on a per-day basis. Can you help?

    • Hello Sam,
      If you are use time slots (timerange) for the definition times selection inside of booking form, so these timeslots selection will work for all days in calendar and not for specific days. In other words the times slot list is the same for all days in same calendar.
      You can use only different time slots selections for other different booking resource (calendar ) in Premium Plus version by creating several booking forms.
      So it's mean that for each different form fields (time range) configuration you will need to have different booking resource and different booking form.
