  2. Trying out the free plugin before upgrading to paid. Installed plugin and everything worked correctly. Now that site is done and other plugins have been installed, booking calendar is not sending notification emails. I have installed wp email to ensure that wp/goddady is still sending emails fine. I get all the test emails. I just dont get the booking calendar emails. THey do show up in the wordpress dash but no notifications. Ideas?

    • Hello John,

Please try to recheck at the general booking settings page that you are enter correct email adress. Then try to check your spam folder.
If it's will not help please try to chnage the email adress at the general booking settings page and test it again.
If it's wil not help try to deactivate othe plugins (may be some of them is block these emails).

Also try to check at your server hosting provider or administrator the log according possible blocking of some sending emails.

If all these items will not help, please try to make full reinstall of plugin: save at the settings option "delete booking data during uninstall" then deactivate plugin and then activate it again than make configuration and testing it.

  3. Hello, how do I get rid of booking calendar configuration information in the wordpress database? I ask as I would like to delete all of my settings and start over from scratch but each time I re-install the plugin it maintains all of my old settings and configuration

    • Hello,
if you want to make full reinstall, you need to open the general booking settings page,
and make checked the option "Delete booking data", then save a settings.
After this you can open wordpress plugins menu and press on deactivate link of plugin.
      After you can activate it.

  4. Hi, I purchased the premium plus version. What check boxes or configuration settings do I need to make to have the client side add up like the demo when selecting days? I ask as the calendar currently has a start and end time.. My calendar is located at https://findyouraustin.com/?page_id=17

    Thanks!

    • Hello,
you can configure all fields for your booking form at the
Booking > Settings > Fields page at the top form.

If you want the similar fields as at demo site, you can open the demo site at that settings page, copy the form fields configuration, and then paste it to your configuration page and save a settings.
You will need to configure the bottom form also at that page for be able to see entered data from reservation in emails and booking main table.

      • I'm not so concerned about the fields. What I want is to have the ability for the client to select days and have them add up daily cost (like the demo). So far when I click on the days the calendar does nothing. What do I need to do?

        Thanks

        • If you want to have inside of the booking form the posibility to see the actual cost of the resrvation,
so then you need to use inside of the Booking > Settings > Fields page at top form this shortcode [cost_hint] for showing the actual cost.
In any case you can open the live demo and then open this page: Booking > Settings > Fields to see that configuration, which you are interested in demo settings.

          • I cannot find this area of the plugin.. Out of the four selections under the main plugin icon in WP I see Bookings, Add booking, Resources and Settings. I dont see any Settings under the Booking tab?? Am I looking in the wrong place??

            • I understand now where it is. I did copy your configuration from the demo and now it tries to calculate but comes up with $0.00 every time. Am I missing another setting somewhere as I have set cost for all of my resources??

              Thanks, Barry

              • You need to set the some cost per days for your booking resource at the Booking > Settings > Payment page, booking form of which you are tested at client side page.

                • Could you please be more specific? On the Booking > Settings > Payment page I do have a cost per resource: Default : 30 Guest Bungalow : 139 Prairie Hill : 110 Riverhouse : 169

                • At that page its usual cost per each date in your calendar.
So if you are set per Default resource the cost of 30, its mean that each date in calendar of THIS RESOURCE - Default will cost 30.
But in additional at the Cost and availability settings page you can set additional rates.
Please just test it, to se how its work.

                • I finally removed a check box for a season with a $0 amount under Cost & Availability > Seson rates of booking resource. Now the days add up in the client form when clicking on them. Please take all of these questions and create a tutorial soon. It will save you a lot of time and effort on your part!

                  Cheers,
                  Barry

  5. I want to delete the booking calendar configuration data as well and start over from scratch. Furthermore I'd like booking claendar to be set up how it was when I first installed the plugin to all default settings. How do I do this?

    • Hi,
if you want to make full reinstall, you need to open the general booking settings page,
and make checked the option “Delete booking data”, then save a settings.
After this you can open wordpress plugins menu and press on deactivate link of plugin.
      After you can activate it.

  6. Hello, is there a way to change or make some defaults in the client form? For instance.. I would like to have United States show for country by default.

    Thanks,
    Barry

    • Hello.
Yes, you can make it by using this shortcode [country "US"] instead of this [country]
      at the Settings fields page.

  7. Hello, we need to have a higher cost for all holidays on all resources. As you know some holidays are not on the same day/date every year. How can we setup a filter to charge more on say.. Memorial Day.. forever?

    Thanks,
    Barry

    • Hello,
its also possible at the Premium Plus and Hotel Edition versions.
Firstly you are need to define the season filters for these dates at the Booking > Settings > Filters page
Then at the Booking > Settings > Cost and availability page you can define the diferent rates for your booking resource by pressing Rate button and setting this rate for your season filters, which you are defined early.

Please note you can define any season filters, for exmple one season filter for 2011 year other for 2012 and so on. You can check this demo configuration at the live demo of these versions.

  8. Hello, I ran a test and was able to enter information into the client fields and submit the form. I then received the information and approved the reservation! One very LARGE piece is missing. Why didn't I see a pay page on the client form before I submitted the reservation request?? How do I set this up?? I have Paypal configured as the service of choice.

    Thanks,
    Barry

    • The payment form is showing after the resrvation is done in 2 reasons.
      1) firstly we need to know the final cost, which can depend from the days selection and from some field selections.
      2) the payment form it's button form payment with redirect to other payment site and showing final cost of resrvation, so we just need to have done this resrvation before visitor will be redirected to the payment site from your site.

        • You just need to configure the payment form settings at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.
In this configuration you need do not forget about the "Active" status (checkbox) for your payment form.
Also the cost of the resrvation have to be higher then 0, its mean that at that page you are also need to set cost for booking resource higher then 0.

  9. Is there a drop down available for states in the client form?

    • Sorry, this type of field is not availbale yet.
So you will need to create usual select box and fill the values of States into it.

  10. I created a filter for tax as I want to charge 6% tax for every day on a reservation. Is this the best way to take care of tax or is that something we need to do inside of Paypal? Thanks, Barry

    • At the Premium Plus and Hotel Ediion you can make this coniguration.
According setting tax and some additional costs, you can insert into the Booking form, at the Booking > Settings > Fields page some required checkbox, lile this:
      Tax: [checkbox* my_tax ""]
and at the Booking > Settings > Payment page at the advanced cost managment section for the option my_tax, set some additional cost.
For example for the tax 6% you need to set value 106% there.

Please reply with future questions, like this to this email info @ onlinebookingcalendar.com .
      Thank you.
