  1. My Hosting company has stopped supporting PHPMail. I therefore installed an SMTP plugin to handle any emails. I installed this successfully. However the Booking Form now shows a '500 Internal Server error ' message and then prompts me to FAQ-13. I have set permissions on all the folders to 755 but I still have the same issue. Can you help?

    • Hello Keith,
      You need to check the error.log at your server, for be able to know exactly, what is problem there.
      You can ask your hosting provider that him send to you this file.
      So then based on this information we an solve the issue.

  2. Hi,

    Would you look at the calendar on this site: https://www.newyorkoutdoorcompany.com/book-a-trip/hunter-mountain/ Can you tell me what I need to do to have the calendar either show one month at a time with scrolling arrows visible or to have the months situated vertically with scrolling arrows to go backward and forward to other months? Also, is it possible to change the default country from the United Kingdom to the United States? And is it possible when someone clicks on a date that they see the cost of the options on that particular date? I have the hotel edition on this site.

    • Hello Wayne.
      1) If you want to show inside of that page the 1 month in calendar, so then you need to open this page for the editing, then make reinsert the booking shortcode, by pressing the booking button at the edit toolbar and selectiong in the popup configuration dialog the number of showing monthes.
      If you are want to show 2 monthes vertically then you are need to make modification, you need to open this file booking/css/client.css at line 236 and make modification from this code:
      .datepick-inline { margin-bottom: 10px; }
      to this:
      .datepick-inline { margin-bottom: 10px; width:290px !important; }

      But for possible to scroll monthese (have arrows for the scolling) in both variants you are need to set at the general booking settings page at the calendar settings sections the option: "Number of months:" to 12 monthes or more from 1 month, as its setted now.

      2) You can chnage the default country by using this shortcode [country "US"] instead of this [country] at the Booking &gth; Settings &gth; Fields page

      3) Its possibel to see the full final cost of resrvation by using this shortcode: [cost_hint] at the Booking &gth; Settings &gth; Fields page
      or to have the cost of specific single day tooltip, when mouse over the specific date, which can be activate at the general booking settings page - "Showing cost at tooltip:"

          My developer was able to make the changes as you suggested above. Thank you. I have one more question. In your hotel edition demo when you hover over a date you can see the cost for that night and the availability. For example it shows Cost: $300 Available: 6. What is the code I need to create that for my site?

            you just need to open the general booking settings page and check that you are have checked these 2 options:
            Showing cost at tooltip
            and
            Show availability

              I have both those boxes checked but the functions still do not show up. Do I need to put a value in the "cost description" box and the "availability description" box after "cost:" and "availability:"?

                no you do not need todo this, just need to have checked those options.
                I am checked this your example: https://www.newyorkoutdoorcompany.com/book-a-trip/hunter-mountain/
                Its show the cost tooltip, but in wrong place (at right side), because of conflict with actual theme css style. Fir fixing this issue, please recheck the info below.
                The availbaility is not showing in tooltip, because you are have capacity of this resource 1. The availbaility in tooltip is showing only, when capacity is grather then 1.
                So for fixing position with tooltip:

                Please open the booking/include/wpdev-premium.php file

                find this functiona declaration: wpdev_booking_form($my_form, $bk_type)

                then inside of this function, replace this code:

                $my_form .= '<div class="tooltips" id="demotip'.$bk_type.'"> '. $bk_type .' </div> ';

                to this:

                $my_form .= '<script type="text/javascript">';
                $my_form .= ' jWPDev(document).ready( function(){ ';
                $my_form .= ' jWPDev("body").append( "<div class=\"tooltips\" id=\"demotip'.$bk_type.'\"> '. $bk_type .' </div> " ); ';
                $my_form .= ' });';
                $my_form .= '</script>';

                Its have to fx this issue, also this fix will be already exist at next update.

  3. Hi, I purchased the Hotel edition and there's a problem... No search results are showing up. There is no booking yet, so the booking resource is available. When I press "Search" button only the line "Search results" is showing... nothing else... Is there a workaround?

    • Hello Sven,
      Firstly you need to be sure, that you are inserted the one or more booking forms in to the several pages in your blog.
      then you are need to open the Booking > Settings > Search page and click at the "Clear cache" button at the settings page, you have to see that system is found several posts with available booking forms.

      After this you can start testing again the search functionality.

      If you are still will have an issue, please send the link to the search form and the screenshots of your settings pages to this email info @ onlinebookingcalendar.com.

    it works all fine but need to have to changes.
    1. i want to make the pending dates clickable, but marked. is this possible? (so the owner sees two bookmark and can decide which one he will approve)
    2. can i give it an input field where you can enter dates outside the calendar and will automatically select them inside the calendar?

      1) Pending dates can not be clickable, because there dates are already reserved. Several reservations per date(s) is possible only at Hotel Edition version,where these dates showing as availbale.
      2) Sorry, this item is also do not supported, yet.

  5. I got a bit of a dumb question.... How do I configure person per night? I'm using multi user 3.0. Will the numbers of visitors change the final costing for the reservation?

    • Hello Anthony,
      If you want to increase the cost of reservation, when number of visitors is changed at the booking form, so then you can make it at the settings payment page at the advanced cost management section.

      • Based that eash vistor pays 10 per night I would have to set 2 vistors = 200% (20), 3 vistors = 300% (30) and so on...
        is that correct? Also can this be configured on a resource basis?

        • Yes it's correct.
          Its only can be based on the form fields: select box or checkbox option selections, like visitors selection.

  6. Hello, on the demo for the "Hotel Edition" there is an option to set "max visitors". We have the Hotel Edition, version 3.0, but do not see this option. Please advise.

    • Hello Babak,
      you are need to activate at the bottom of the general booking setting page option - "Visitors apply to capacity".
      So then you will see the "max visitors" at resource page.
      You are also will be able to see 2 new options (radio button selections) under the "Visitors apply to capacity" option.
      Please test the site for the fisrt and second radio button selections, because its have different availbaility and reservations logic.

    my last question is comming 😉 i need to have the submit button at the bottom at the page and the calendar at the top. can i do something like getting my own submitbutton with: - i tried it but i get an error in the script.

    My question is can I run a report on room utilisation on the Hotel edition? I'd like to be able to get the stats on bookings etc for specific time periods or even just booking history would be useful.

    • Hello Dylan,
      right now the statistic reports inside of the Booking Calendar is not supported yet. Sorry.
      But at the Booking manager plugin, which is work togather with Booking Calendar, is supported posibility to show the history of reservations.
      Please read more info about it here.

    • Hello,
      You can change it by reinserting the booking short code into post. You need to open for editing the page with booking form. Then please remove exist booking short code. After, click at the booking button at the edit toolbar, and inside of popup configuration dialog select your number of months and some other parameters. Then update the page changes and test it again.
