  1. Hi. I have the following issue:
    1. I have Hotel Version.
    2. A client makes reservation for one night.
    3. Booking Calendar shows checkin and checkout dates so he checks in on 20 nov and checks out 21 nov (for example).
    4. This way the total will be displayed for the cost of 2 nights, not one.
    5. If hte client selects only one day (night) for example 20 nov, the mail he will receive will say "checkin: 20/nov Check out: 20/nov"
    6. How to fix this?

      you can try to make this customization:
      at the Booking > Settings > Cost and availability page for nearly your booking resource click on "Cost for selected days"
      then set this configuration:
      "For" 2 day(s) = 0 "USD per 1 day"
      This settings stop cost calculation for a second day from your point #4

  2. Hello,

    We are about to purchase the hotel version of the calendar for only one reason and I'm not sure if what we are looking for is still supported.

    We would like to be able to allow visitors to purchase tickets for a particular day on the calendar. With the Hotel edition we are hoping that it will allow multiple bookings for the same day at the same time. In other words, if one visitor selected the date to reserve and pay for an event, another visitor can also register and pay for the same event at the same time. Simple, and a very basic standard.

    I just tested this on the Demo version you have for the hotel edition. After one reservation is made, the date becomes inactive! In the features for the Hotel Edition it says: "Multiple bookings at the same full day(s)(not a time slot). Day(s) will be available untill number of reservations per this day are less then capacity of booking resource. Capacity its number of rooms, seats, some “slots” and so on…" I believe this is what we need. Am I not correct? If so, please show me an example of how we can make multiple bookings at same time for the same day.

    Please let us know immediately and we have to make a decision today.

    • Also, I have noticed that in order to resolve my issue as noted above, I have to create multiple "Child Booking Resource". This is not the best way to do this. If we have an event for 500 people, we have to create 500 "Child Booking Resources"?

      And even if we do that, the availability filter for the parent resource does not apply to the child resources. Meaning, we will have to set availability / filter for 500 child resources one by one. Please correct me if I'm wrong but this is would be very time consuming.

      Please advise if the hotel version, or any of the versions, have a better, more logical setup.

        sorry for delay with reply to you.
        The possibility to book the several times at the same date is available at the Hotel Edition version. At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in DB, but not play any logic in reservation).
        So its mean that you will be create the parent resources for the each of your time selections and your visitors are need to select firstly the time slot and then the date in calendar. Here is some info, which can be useful in a case of showing only one form and selection of other resources using the selectbox instead of having all booking forms for the " parent resources" at the page (its still will require small customization of showing only parent resources, but its tiny modification there.).

        According not possible to book several times at the demo from your first post. Its a demo site, and maybe some other visitor is changed the settings thats why you can not make that reservations. But the demo is reseting every 3 hours, so you can try to test again.

        According changing the availability. You are need to change the availability only for the "parent" single resource. you do not need to change the availability filters for the all 500 "child resources".

        Please test it at live demos to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

          Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate your explanations. Can you please confirm my new understanding:

          1. The actual capacity is determined by the how many "Child Resources" added to parent resource. For example if we have 2000 capacity we will end up with a super long resource page.

          2. Once a filter is applied to the the parent resource, it is not required to add availability to the child resource again.

          I am still not sure what "Max visitors" means or what it does. The number 12 seems irrelevant. If the my understanding above is correct, then the most logical way is to remove the "Child resource" feature and just have the "Maximum Visitors" drop-down determine the capacity.

            1) Yes, in general its right. In additional the capacity can depend from the number of these "child resources" and number of maximum visitors per resource, which can be setup at the Resource settings page if "Visitors apply to capacity" option is checked at the general booking settings page.
            Please note, if you will have too many child resources, like 2000, the loading of page can be too slow, and its depend from the server performance. We are tested it with maximum 500 resources.
            2) Yes, right.
            3) The "max visitors" is used for the situation, when specific resource is support several visitors. For example some "room" can contain 2 visitors, so then during reservation process at the client side, when user select the 5 visitors, will be reserved only 3 "child" resources, because each of them support maximum 2 visitors.

      But how do I write the description for the returned resources?

      • Hello Tibi,
        You can write the description for the returned resources at the "Excerpt" section at the post, where you are inserted the booking form of that booking resource.
        At the same page you can set the featured image, if your current theme is support these type of images.

  3. Is it possible to work with EUR instead of USD in the Hotel Edition?? If so, where can I change This?? Thanks!!!

    • Hello Marc,
      Yes its possible. You can change the currency at the Booking > Settings > Payment page at the each sections of your payment systems integration.

  4. Hello,
    How can I add more calendars in the form (client side)? There is a number maximum of 12 months that are displayed. I would like to allow the user make reservations for the years 2012 and 2013 for example.

      You can insert the booking shortcode into the page or post, using usual method and selected the 12 months. After you are inserted the booking shortcode into the page or post, please edit the parameter of number of months in this shortcode, and change the 12 to 24 or other value.

  5. Hello,
    I would like to know which version online booking calendar is more suitable for a Beauty Clinic?

    I have multiple resource and multiple services within one day. Depending on the service that customer selects on the online booking calendar the resource may or not be available depending upon the availability and how long is the duration of the treatment.
    Is it possible to define a list of treatments and their duration within your online booking system?
    Pre-booked slots can they be visible from a client prospective so it gives them an indication of our availability?

      You are need to check the Booking Calendar Premium Plus version, where is possible to make bookings for the specific time and possible to configure several custom booking forms for the specific booking resources. You are need to deactivate the "Multiple days selection" at the general booking settings page, then at the settings fields page make customization one or several booking form(s), with time slots selection.
      Please note, you can define in the booking form using the different services by specific selectbox or check boxes and set additional cost for this selections at the settings payment page at advanced cost management section, but this additional services selection in the select boxes and check boxes will not impact to availability.
      The availability is depend from the booking resource selected date and time slot at the booking form, during previous reservations by visitors.
      So, please test Booking Calendar Premium Plus live demo at this page to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

  6. Hi, i have one problem.

    In : Cost and availability settings :

    I have one car to rent, and the cost is calculate like this :

    For 1 day to 5 days : 40 USD
    For 6 days to 15 days : 38 USD
    For 16 days to 29 days : 36 USD

    But, when i test it, the cost is not good.

    If i select 6 days, I want 6 days at 38 USD -> 6 x 38 = 228 USD, NOT -> 5 x 40 + 1 x 38 = 238 !

    If i select 20 days, I want 20 days at 36 USD -> 20 x 36 = 720 USD, NOT -> 5 x 40 + 10 x 38 + 5 x 36= 760 !

    I want a cost calculate for the total number of days !

    Please, help me !

      "From" 1 "to" 5 " days = 40 "USD per specific date"
      "Together" 6 days = 228 "USD for all days"
      "From" 7 "to" 15 "days = 38 "USD per specific date"
      "Together" 16 days = 576 "USD for all days"
      "From" 17 "to "29" days = 36 "USD per specific date"

    this support service needs a search function, it's impossible to find if a question has been asked before.. Why not make a support forum instead?

    Here's my question: I want to set up an affiliate program where when a visitor comes from an affiliate site and books a room, the affiliate gets a 10% commission on that booking. I know there are a few good plugins out there for affiliate programs, but is there one specifically that will integrate with online booking calendar? Or is there an affiliate feature in one of the plugin versions?

    I have the Hotel Version at the moment.

      This support section of site will be updated in close future. Thank you for your suggestion.
      The affiliate posibility inside of the Booking Calendar is not exist yet. Sorry.
      But inside of the Hotel Edition version is exist posibility to use the coupon codes for getting discounts during booking process.
      So you can create the several coupon codes and inform about them to your affiliate partners. Then the visitors from their sites can use this coupon codes for getting discounts. Of course it's not an affiliate program, but may be its info will be usefull for you.

      • Thank you. I had also thought about the coupon method. Maybe then the affiliates need to offer a 5% discount via the coupon so the customer actually uses the coupon, and the affiliate still gets a 5% commission (admitting that the commission threshold is set to 10%.

        Ideally i would like a system where the client pays the same price by going through the affiliate, and the affiliate gets 10% commission. That would mean a coupon that makes no discount, but proves that the affiliate refered the client.. It works if the affiliate makes the booking himself and enters the coupon, but i don't think the clients will bother entering the coupon if there is no incentive to do so (free drink on check in, discount, etc..).

        Anyway that can work to some extent, thanks for the suggestion.

      its very depend from functionality which you are need, so please test live demos to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
      Right now there is no package, which is worked exactly for the travel agency, so its will be require some configuration or customization in any cases, may be some functionality is not exist.
      But I can suggest that you need to check the Hotel Edition version.
      Or if you are need to have possibility to have own wordpress booking admin panel for each of your clients, so then you are need to check the Booking Calendar MultiUser version.

  9. Hi, nice plugin! I bought the hotel version.

    Now I want my homepage to show the calendar and if the visitor had chosen a period, he click the button to a next page where he must fill in the form. Is this possible?

      its not possible to transfer the selected dates from one page to other,
      but you can use this instruction
      for having several steps for making reservations.

      • So several steps on the same page is possible but making the 'next step' on a different page isnt possible?

        If not, is this on the list for a release?

              Unfortunately, right now, before the new update will released, we can not start the custom development because we are have long todo list for the next update of plugin and almost have no free times.
