  1. 3 questions (purchased the the Pro version):
    1) Does the Pro version allow for PayPal gift certificates?
    2) When I press submit, nothing happens. Is there an extra step we're missing?
    3) Using the info in the FAQ, I was able to add the drop down, but the form doesn't process. Any ideas?
    4) Can I use PayPal standard or must I use PayPal pro? If I can use standard, is the process different?

      1) I am not sure, need to check more at Paypal site about it.
      3-4) Please send the link to your site. Probably your installation was not successful or you are have the JavaScript errors at your site. So please recheck the troubleshooting section at the FAQ page of this site.
      4) The difference between the Paypal Satndard and PayPal Pro hosted solution integration , that in case of PayPal Standard, your site visitors for the finishing payment process will need to have paypal account. At the Paypal Pro Hosted solution integration your visitors not obligatory require the papal account for the fisnihing of the payment process, they just can write all billing details at the payment form. But Paypal Pro Hosted solution integration have some restrictions (country of usage and so on), so please recheck its more detail at the PayPal site.

      You can chnage the currency at the Booking > Settings > Payment page
      at the each payment sections.

          Please add the booking shortcode in a normal way, at the edit post page.
          Just select the search tab at the popup dialog.

          • Ah yes thanks again - but what does it search for? Maybe some of these dumb questions I'm asking have already been asked but I can't seem to search this forum to see.
            What I want is for it to search availabilty so if I type in a date range I can see what is available, but I get nothing back when searching any date range and I have 2 entries with no bookings in them

              Please, check that you was inserted into some specific pages or posts the booking forms for reservations for the "parent" or "single" booking resources, where your visitors after search can make reservation.

              Then you are need to open the Booking > Settings > Search page and click at the Clear cache button, you have to see how many pages is found with booking calendar.
              After you can test again according search test in your page with [bookingsearch] shortcode.

                • Youbare need to have seperate pages
                  Where are insert the booking form for the "single or parent" (not child) resources.
                  It's mean that inside of those pages have to be shortcodes like this:
                  [booking type=15]
                  And inside of the search page you are need to have only [bookingsearch] shortcode.

                  I'm also a bit lost with
                  "Where are insert the booking form for the “single or parent” (not child) resources." It's just not making any sense as a sentence to me. Sorry. What does it mean "Where are insert the booking form for the single or parent" It's incomprensible.

                  I now have only [bookingsearch] in my search page and I've tried all combinations of parent and cleared the cache but still I have nothing at all when I search between 2 dates.
                  Maybe I could send you the login details and you take a look?

                    sorry for not clear descriptions. Please make these steps.
                    1) Probably you are already have several booking resources, which you are want to show as booking form for your site visitors to check availability and making the reservations.
                    So please create separate pages (WordPress admin menu > Posts > Add new) for the each of your booking resources, and insert the booking form into the each of your page(s) (here is description: https://onlinebookingcalendar.com/faq/insert-booking-form ). Please insert the booking forms only as a "single" or "parent" resource.
                    2) Then open the Booking > Settings > Search page and click on the "Clear cache" button. After this you need to see how many booking resources inside of the pages you are found, otherwise please return to the point #1.
                    3) Create new post or page and insert into this page the [bookingsearch] shortcode, update the page and make testing.

                  This page just has [bookingedit] as per the instructions but the result just says

                  You do not set any parameters for booking editing. But in the FAQ there is no mention of any parameters. What parameters are there? The FAQ just says

                  Create some post or page, and insert into this post or page this shortcode: [ bookingedit] (without space after first [ character). You can select inserting this shortcode by selecting the edit bar inside of popup booking dialog , after pressing booking button from edit toolbar.

                    you can edit the reservations, using the link for the editing, which you will see inside of the email (which you are received after new resrvation) only.
                    For this you are need to have correctly configured the email templates to have the shortcodes for these links. Here is more details

                  I am still not able to gett he search to work. Could you please post clearer instructions on how I can search for booking availabilty. I am still trying to decypher your instructions from yesterday but your replies have now dried up. I must admit to being a little disapointed with this product and the level of support. Not able to search the these support posts, answers are not easily understandable (not seemingly written in English - or at least any English I've ever come across), poor spelling in the software, and now support has dried up totally.
                  Unhappy customer.

                    1) Did you see any number of "found booking forms inside of posts or pages" at the Booking > Settings > Search page at bottom of page, after clicking at the "Reset cache" button ? Please send the screenshot of that page to this email info @ onlinebookingcalendar.com
                    2) I am found only one post with booking form at your page here https://www.frenchhomesearch.com/location/?page_id=27 Its booking form of booking resource with ID = 14.
                    Is this resource "single" resource or "parent" resource ? Can you send to this email info @ onlinebookingcalendar.com also the screenshot of the Booking > Resource page, where I can check is this resource "single" or "parent".

    I'm using the Hotel version and I can't seem to make a coupon with 100% discount to work.
    If I choose 99% it works but not 100% 🙁

    This also happens when the discount is by fixed amount and the total is zero!

    Can you help me ?

      Unfortunately right now the 100% discount is not supported yet.
      It's will be support at the next version updates.

  3. Hi,

    After a reservation, there is a message displayed with "Thank you for your online reservation. We will send confirmation of your booking as soon as possible"
    This message fades after a few seconds... Is it possible to change this behaviour ?

    I've seen this javascript code, but i don't know where and how (and if) I can hack this 😉

      You can change the "Thank you" message content and time of hiding this message at the general booking settings page. Just expand specific option at that settings page.

      • So, there is no option to keep the message without fading ?

        • You can set longer time of fading or
          Set redirecting to the thank you page instead of showing thank you message.

      you can try to write the booking shortcode, which you are inserted into the post or page, like this:
      <center> [booking] </center>
      If you are used the Paid version and want to center only the calendar, so then you can make it at the Booking > Settings > Fields page at top form by this code
      <center> [calendar] </center>

  5. While setting up the booking forms for a friend I noticed that any characters including html can be inserted into the text fields, postal code, and phone numbers. Is there a way to add form validation to make sure phone numbers and postal codes follow a certain fromat, and only alphanumeric characters are allowed

      Sorry, this feature will be exist at the future versions, right now it's not availbale yet.

  6. Hey again 😉 So far the plugin is perfectly working... Just got a question... Is it possibe to insert the remark text (I mean showing of Total sum, Deposit & Balance like when you click on "edit notes" in bookings) into the custom emails? [cost] is just showing the total sum...
    And, do you plan for any future updates to insert a summary of the reservation before getting straight to payment? This would be really good and would make customers feel safer I guess...

    does the calendar pro version have the feature for booking straight via visa,mastercard etc??or this is possible only with paypal?is there some version that supprots this?

      Only at the Premium and higher versions are support,
      Paypal (also sage and iPay88) payment systems integrations.
      So payment is possible only through payment systems. The direct payment using credit card is not possible. Sorry.

    I have 3 questions:
    1. I have purchased the Premium 2.7 version and I was wondering if there is way to have different charges for more than one day.
    For example: 1day cost: 100euros
    2days cost: 180 euros
    3days cost: 250 euros

    2. I would like also to ask if I could translate the fields in the booking form. I have installed the qtranslate plugin and as I see the months in the calendar change when I change language but not the fields of the form./

    3. Is there a way to send different mail notifications when a booking is approved regarding customer's language (again using qtranslate)?

    • Hello Nick.
      1) this feature is possible at the Premium Plus and higher versions. Please test it at live demo of this version at the Cost and Availability page by pressing the "Cost for selected days" button at that settings page.
      2) Please check the Translation section in the FAQ page at this site, there is description how to make the translation. qtranslate plugin is not tested yet and thats why not supported yet.
      3) Sorry, qtranslate is not supported yet. Using the wpml plugin and [lang] shortcodes inside of the email templates is possible to sent the emails in different languages. Its possible at the actual version 3.0

  9. Hello Again

    I created a three step booking (dates, personal info, billing info) form (Hotel edition) using your multiple steps method it works great except if a required field on step two is not filled in nothing happens when the user clicks on the submit button. Is there a way to to get an error message for errors on step one & two, either when clicking go to the next step or when submit is clicked. Or could you tell me where the code is so I can go in an edit it myself.

      Its appear because the warning messages are appear at the step 2, where you are have fields, but you are make sending the booking format step 3, thats why you are do not see these warning messages from step 2 on step 3.
      So please make sure that the submit button will be at the same step, where is exist required fields.
      At the future versions updates I will improve this logic.
