  1. Hi there,

    The booking calendar is really great overall, thank you. But I noticed that my clients are getting confused with booked and partially booked because they are the same colour. I have multiple time slots that can be booked each day. Once a time slot is booked, the colors are the same for both booked and partially booked which get confusing for clients. Would it be possible to have 2 different colors for them?

    I am having several issues with the calendar. It wont let you click on the dates to pull up the calendar and also is not sending email confirmations.     I have disabled and enabled plug ins with no help and am unsure how to change the theme to the default theme. I am new to this and do not want to mess up the live site.

      Its seems that you are using some other plugin "bookingwizz_wp" not original Booking Calendar plugin.
      You can download and install original "Booking Calendar" Free versions from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking/
      Also you can check how is looking original "Booking Calendar" plugin at the live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

      • I'm using the booking calender and bookingwizz together. Even with the bookingwizz plug in disabled it still gives me those issues.

              Please open the General Booking Settings page and in Calendar section select some Calendar skin. Then Click on Save changes button to update the settings.
              Please make this, even if you think you selected corrected calendar skin, just select some other and after this re-select it.

              Currently at your page calendar skin is not loading, and because of that you do not see selected dates in calendar.

              • I changed it, it still changes to the hand icon on the pointer, but i still cannot click on the selected date to schedule a time.

                      I can see the available and booked dates in your calendar.
                      Please deactivate your active theme and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.

                    • Also please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.

                    • I see the calendar itself now looks better, but again I am unable to select the date to schedule a specific time to schedule an appointment.

    NB : Type of days selection : Range Day / Select DYNAMIC range (with 2 mouse clicks)

    Hi, great calendar. I'm using it as a B&B booking page.
    When the client selects a CHECK-IN date and CHECK-OUT date - this happens :
    1. The dates ARE NOT shown in the admin area as a dynamic range (but as days separated with commas) - How do I fix this?
    2. The total cost of number of nights staying shortcode [cost] is CORRECT - YAY
    3. The number of nights shortcode [dates_count] is WRONG - It is including its one too many (I'm guessing its including the checkOUT day)- How do I fix this?

    • Hello.
      1) Please open the General Booking Settings page, then in the "Listing of bookings" section for the option "Dates view" set value "Short days view".
      3) [dates_count] shortcode is showing number of booked dates, and not nights. In your case you need to show number of nights.
      Such feature available in the Booking Calendar Business Medium and higher versions.
      In these versions you can use these shortcodes to show different hints in booking form (in real time, after selecting dates or options in booking form) and also in email templates:

      Insert these shortcodes into form to show info in real time (after selection of the dates in calendar or options in checkboxes or selectboxes).
      [check_in_date_hint] - Selected Check In date. Example:11/25/2013
      [check_out_date_hint] - Selected Check Out date. Example:11/27/2013[start_time_hint] - Selected Start Time. Example:10:00
      [end_time_hint] - Selected End Time. Example:12:00[selected_dates_hint] - All selected dates. Example:11/25/2013, 11/26/2013, 11/27/2013
      [selected_timedates_hint] - All selected dates with times. Example:11/25/2013 10:00, 11/26/2013, 11/27/2013 12:00
      [selected_short_dates_hint] - All selected dates in "short" format. Example:11/25/2013 - 11/27/2013
      [selected_short_timedates_hint] - All selected dates with times in "short" format.. Example:11/25/2013 10:00 - 11/27/2013 12:00[days_number_hint] - Number of selected days. Example:3
      [nights_number_hint] - Number of selected nights. Example:2


      [cost_hint] - Full cost of the booking.
      [original_cost_hint] - Cost of the booking for the selected dates only.
      [additional_cost_hint] - Additional cost, which depends on the fields selection in the form. [deposit_hint] - The deposit cost of the booking.
      [balance_hint] - Balance cost of the booking - difference between deposit and full cost.

      PS You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

          Unfortunately, no.

          We are using the vertical lines for the change over dates and not diagonal, because of issue of not ability to set diagonal lines for the different calendars with different sizes.

          Booking Calendar support changing the size of calendars. you can define the size of calendar in the option parameter of Booking Calendar shortcode: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/#booking-options

          Also such functionality important for having responsive interface for mobile devices.

          Unfortunately its does not possible to set dynamically diagonal lines for changeover dates for the calendar with different sizes. That's why we are using vertical lines, which showing correctly at the calendars with different size.

              Unfortunately it's does not possible to show [content] at "thank you" page. I will add this feature to the todo list for having this feature in future updates.

  4. Hi,
    I have entered in the bookings for 2016 but my clients wants to add the records for 2015 2014 & 2013. How can I do this as the booking calandar only allows for entries for 2016? I purchased the small business pack. Thanks

    • Hello.
      Basically it's possible with a little trick. You can add new booking in admin panel for any date. Then at the Booking Lusting page click on edit button near this booking, and then you be able to reselect date(s) of this booking and select past bookings.

      If this too complicated, then you will be need to make code customization of plugin. If you want to do this, please reply and I will send instruction for you.

  5. Hi,

    I am using the premium marine-skin on my calendar. Partially booked days where orange and previous and unavailable days where white.
    After upgrading to version 6.0 unavailable days (season filter) now have the same orange color instead of white. This seems to have happened with all included skins. Any ways I can fix this?

    First I would like to say that I love your plugin.
    Second I have 2 issues/questions

    1:) Email has issues being delivered.
    When I create a test booking, sometimes the mail arrives and sometimes it doesn't (I have checked spam filters)
    Is there something I can do?

    2:) The website its running on is a site for a small Theatre (acting) in my local town.
    The only thing I need for this to be 110% perfect is start and end times on bookings.
    It is a small Theatre and therefor doesn't have a lot of cash (I am donating my time) and I was wondering: Do I really need to get the small business version in order to add time to the bookings?

    • Hello.

      1) Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/ (the most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction).

      Also please be sure that at the Booking > Settings > Emails page in field From you are using email with the same domain as your website.
      Example:
      "Booking system"
      And not the email like this: your_email @ gmail.com

      2) Yes, the ability to book for specific times possible only in the Booking Calendar Business Small and higher versions.
      The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

      You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Fields page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

      You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

      You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

  7. Hi we have been using the business medium since around 2013. Only just thought to update.

    I have purchased the business small package for our community centre. The medium package seems to have many more features than we actually need. Order ID: [cutted]

    Can you please advise me of the best procedure to down grade so that we do not lose any booking data.

    The website is https://stanwixcommunitycentre.org.uk which is running on Woothemes Buro theme. I hesitate to just follow the instructions on the website as they don't seem to provide for any downgrade route.

  8. When reservations are requested online no customer information comes to me--only the dates requested. So if the customer doesn't call me . I have no way of knowing who they are! Even when I try to edit the reservation (luckily, the customer called me today and I tried to enter her name, email address and telephone number, everything still comes up blank.

      What WordPress version and what version update of Booking Calendar do you use? You can check it at the General Booking Settings page.

      In some old versions of plugin together with latest update of WordPress possible such issues.

  9. Our booking forms and calendar do not pop up anymore when the button is clicked on "Book Now" You can find the button under the accordion tab "BOOK NOW! Pricing and Availability" Please advise on how to fix this as soon as possible because our customers cant book through our forms which means we lose out on business.       this issue does not relative to the Booking Calendar. Its issue exist beacause of JavaScript error at your theme.
      When you click on the "book now" button of your page appear this JavaScript error:
      Error: TypeError: n.on(...).trigger is not a function Source File: https://sandsofluxury.com/wp-content/themes/jpdstudio/js/foundation.min.js Line: 25

      Please contact the support of your WordPress theme, or developer who created your website to fix this error.
      As you can see this error relative to the JS file of "jpdstudio" theme.

  10. Hi!
    Using version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.5.1.4 on WordPress 4.2.7

    I changed the check-in and check-out hours in the General Settings form, but it has no impacts on the calendars displayed on our website. (Example: https://www.auchaletenboisrond.com/chalets-a-louer/batiskan)

    It also doesn't reflect in the "Add a reservation" form in the admin... the old check-in / out hours are still displayed instead of the new hours.

    I thought it was a W3 Total Cache issue but I emptied all caches several times without any success...

    Any idea?

    • Hello.
      If you was changed the times for check in/out times, its will impact only to the NEW bookings. All previous bookings will have the same check in/out time, that having before. To change check in/out times of exist bookings, you need to edit each such specific booking (by clicking on Edit button at the Booking listing page).

      2) Also at your page https://www.auchaletenboisrond.com/chalets-a-louer/batiskan I can not select the dates, its seems that you configured some wrong parameters at the General Booking Settings page in range days selection section or inside of the Booking Calendar shortcode at options parameter.

      • Thanks for the reply, you are right about the new bookings!
        In our context, there are around 800 upcoming bookings so it's a very unpleasant task to edit them all

        Any solution to batch process this change on all existing bookings you could think of? Would it be overly complicated/risky to update them from the database directly in your opinion?

        As for point #2, we currently only display the booking dates and we book from the admin, so that's why the days are not selectable from the website :), this will change in the upcoming months

          1) Ok, then you need to have access to the phpMyAdmin or some other DB editing tool.
          2) Please make backup of your DB, so you be able to restore it, if something will go wrong.
          3) By default all booking dates saved into "wp_bookingdates" table. If you DB table use different prefix than "wp_" then you need to edit it in sql code below.
          4) All check in dates have last second in dates like this: "...:01" and all check out dates have last second as "...:02". Its just for your note.
          5) Let say you have old check out time as 10:00 and you need to have new check out time as 12:00, then you need to execute this sql:
          UPDATE wp_bookingdates SET booking_date=concat(date(booking_date), ' 12:00:02') WHERE booking_date LIKE '% 10:00:02'
          6) Let say you have old check in time as 14:00 and you need to have new check in time as 13:00, then you need to execute this sql:
          UPDATE wp_bookingdates SET booking_date=concat(date(booking_date), ' 13:00:01') WHERE booking_date LIKE '% 14:00:02'
