Nick
Hello.
You can change label "Adults" to "Visitors" at the Booking > Settings > Fields page in the "Booking form" and also at the "Content of booking data" form (at the bottom of the page.
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Fields page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Kind Regards.
I have done that already
But the "New for Visitor" email inserts the [content]
which still displays the Adults and Children
I am using a custom form
is there and way I can display "visitors" on the email
Thanks for your help
Hello.
If you are using the custom form, so in this case, please open the Booking > Resources page, and set for the specific booking resource, specific custom booking form as default.
Its will get for specific booking resource the [content] data from specific default custom booking form.
Also be sure that you configured correctly shortcodes in Booking form and Content of booking fields data form in each specific custom booking forms.
Kind Regards.
Hello!
I have the Business Medium plugin.
I have restricted the bookings from saturday to saturday, checkin 15:00 and check out next saturday 10:00.
And I would like to display the week cost somewhere in the calendar.
Is that possible?
Hello.
1) Please open the General Booking Settings page and in Calendar section activate the "range days selection mode" using 2 mouse clicks.
Then set these parameters:
Minimum number of days selection: 8
Maximum number of days selection: 29
Specific number of days selection: 8,15,22,29
And set start day of selections as "Saturday"
Then activate using "Check in/out times" option, and set check in time as 15:00 and check out time as 10:00.
2) You can show total booking cost depend from selected dates in calendar.
To show this total booking cost, please use this shortcode: [cost_hint] in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Fields page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Kind Regards.
Hello!
I have done exactly that, but the prices don´t add up correctly.
If I choose one or 4 weeks i get the same price.
And it does not matter what week(-s) i choose, high season or low season.
I have used the [deposit_hint] and [balance_hint]
Kind Regards
Kennet
Hello.
1) Please use [cost_hint].
[cost_hint] - Total cost of the booking.
[deposit_hint] - The deposit cost of the booking - useful, only if you activated deposit payment.
[balance_hint] - Balance cost of the booking - difference between deposit and full cost - useful, only if you activated deposit payment.
2) You was made configuration with "Rates" or with "Valuation days" ? Please recheck that you activated specific rate (set checkbox at left side near specific rate checked.)
Kind Regards.
And that means that I want to set the price per week, not day.
And I have seasonal differences as well based on a standard price per week.
Kind Regards
Kennet
Hello.
By default its possible to set cost per day. If you have cost per week, then just divide it to 7 and set this cost.
You can set the different cost for the different seasons at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page by clicking on Rate button. Please read more here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#rates
From other side, you can use "Valuation days" and configure the cost for specific number of days selections.
you can configure it at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page by clicking on "Valution days" button and configure cost like this:
"Together 8 days = 200 USD, where chceck in day in specific season filter"
"Together 15 days = 400 USD, where chceck in day in specific season filter"
"Together 22 days = 600 USD, where chceck in day in specific season filter"
"Together 29 days = 800 USD, where chceck in day in specific season filter"
But as you can see here valuation days can depend ONLY from the check in day.
So if you select 2 weeks, and these 2 weeks from the different season filters, so then will apply cost from season filter, that belong check in day.
That's why better to configure cost based on cost per day, and set Rates.
Kind Regards.
Changed to daily rates, costs per day and the site crashed!!

Kennet
Hello.
Can you check in the error.log at the server configuration the description about this issue ?
Also can you send screenshot of your cost configuration and link to the website ?
Thank you.

Hello.
Plesee send it to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Kind regards.
Hello.
You do not activate any rates.
Please set checked checkboxes at the left side near each specific rate that you configured.
Also plesee note, right now you configured discounted rates. If you need to increase your cost on 55% plesee use 150% instead of 55%. 55% is means discount in 45%
I can't seem to get this to work as I would like it to.
If I use the day calculation formula together with checkin/checkout times I don't get the right prices.
If I turn to the costs and rates based on "Together" it calculates OK but not when I cross "seasonal borders"
Hello.
Please open the General Booking Settings page and in "Cost" section, please uncheck this option "Time impact to cost".
So if this option will be unchecked, the times (check in/out) will not be calculated for booking cost. System will calculate only full days.
Kind Regards.
Hello again!
I can't make this work.
I have a basic fee per day of €245 and the cost is set for one day.
I have set up rates for different weeks (saturday to saturday) with a rate per day of 35 to 100% depending on season.
I have days selection set up with range days (dynamic) 8,15,22,29 and specific start day of saturday.
And I use check-in/check-out time 15:00 and 10:00
And the ceckbox "Time inpact to cost:" is unchecked.
I want to use check-in/checkout times and choose saturday to saturday in the calendar.
The calculations does not add up.
And there is a rounding error between the sum of deposit and balance and total cost.
Kind Regards
Kennet

Ciao Kennet, I am trying to do the same:
Saturday - Saturday bookings. But the system calculates the prices bases on the check-in date. If I cross "seasonal borders", the price is incorrect. In the end, did you solve the problem?
Thanks, Carlijn
Hello.
We was replied to your email.
Kind Regards.
Also I can't make this work.
I have days selection set up with range days (dynamic) 8,15,22,29 and specific start day of Saturday.
The calculations does not add up.
High season: 2 July – 26 Augustus: 393 euro per day
After season: 27 Augustus – 30 September: 250 euro a night
Extra costs (for 2 people – desposit, linnen costs, cleaning, etc.): 695 euro.
This is what happens:
2 July – 9 July (all high season): 3446 euro, correct
20 - 27 Augustus (end of high season): 3303 euro, incorrect. The system calculates the last day 250 euro (low season) instead of 393 (high season). WHY?
27 August – 3 September (all after season): 2445 euro, correct
20 August – 3 September (one week high, one week low season): 5053 euro, incorrect. This should be 3346 + 2245 = 5591. The system calculates only 6 days high season and 8 days after season. WHY?
Is this a bug or how do I fix this??
Kind Regards
Carlijn
Hello.
Probably you are using "Valuation days" for settings cost for specific number of days, and configure there belonging "Check in" day to specific season.
If yes, so as you can see from description in parameters, this cost settings can depend ONLY from belonging "Check In" day yo specific season or when its does not depend from the season. In other words, its does not works, if you have cross-seasons (2 or more seasons in selections).
Instead of "Valuation days" cost settings, you need to configure "Rates", but in rates configuration you can define only cost per days, not the weeks. So if you have cost per week, you need to divide it to 7.
So here is what you need to do.
1) Deactivate or delete all cost settings at the "Valuation days" costs.
2) Activate and configure your costs for the different seasons at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page by clicking on Rate button.
- Do not forget to activate specific Rate by setting checked checkbox at the left side near specific rate
- If you have some cost per week, you need to divide it to 7. Also in costs you need to use dot instead of comma for decimal points. This value 1.2345 instead of 1,2345
Kind Regards.
Hello, I am running some testing on my booking calendar and need assistance. I have the booking calendar medium and I'm having issues with pending/booked dates.
When I book a date through Safari or Firefox, after I submit and the calendar displays again, it is not showing the date I just requested. Instead it seems like the date is available, although it should show as pending. I currently have the option to check for double bookings, so when I try to book for the same day, it does give an error, but I would like for the dates to show how they are supposed to.
Example: Client using Firefox requests for a booking on April 20. Client hits submit and a message displays thanking him for his submission. Once you go back to the calendar, April 20 is still showing as available. The client should be able to book and see on the calendar that the date is now pending. It should no longer appear as available.
I do not have this problem using Chrome. On Chrome, once I book, the date becomes pending until it is approved.
Hello.
If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the "Advanced section", please be sure that you have not activated this option: "Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):". This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.
If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
Kind Regards.
I do not have unlimited bookings selected and I do not have any cache plugins. Like I said, it works perfectly in Google Chrome. The issue only happens if something is booked through Safari or Firefox.
I did check off the option for checking to prevent double bookings, which is helping at the moment, because it will prevent a double booking, but I would like for clients using any browser to be able to see the correct availability.
Also, where can I change the error message that comes up when someone is trying to book a date that appears available, but comes back as not available? The error currently reads: "Error! Probably these date(s) just was booking by other visitor. Please reload this page and make booking again."
Hello.
1) This error is very like issue of cache plugin or caching by your actual theme.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.
If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.
2) You can edit that message inside of the Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/lib/wpbc-booking-new.php
by searching this code:
. esc_js( __('Probably these date(s) just was booking by other visitor. Please reload this page and make booking again.' ,'booking') ) ,ENT_QUOTES); ?>' ,
Kind Regards.
Ok. So I deleted my theme and every plugin that I currently have. Basically starting from scratch. The only thing that is activated is the default WP theme and the Booking Calendar Medium. I am still getting the same error. Everything works fine on Chrome, but pending/booking dates don't show up on Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari.
Is there something in the coding of the actual Booking plugin that may be causing such an issue?
Also, could you tell me how to "add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page"
Hello.
1) Can you test it on other computer with browsers that you have issue. May be at your computer some addons in the browsers that make this iossue of cahing data.
Also Do you make test when you logged in or logged out from admin panel ?
Can you send link to this page, so I can test it also in those browsers ?
2) The exception can be done in the settings of specific Cache plugins, like WP Super cache or Total Cache. The more details about this you can find in docs of specific plugin, if you still using someone.
3) Also can you contact your hosting company support, may be at your server installed some caching system that making this issue.
Kind Regards.
Thank you for all your help. You were absolutely right. The issue had to do with cache. Turns out my hosting company has a server that caches everything which was causing this issue. It has now been corrected and everything works perfectly.
Hello.
Good to know that it's works for you.
Kind regards.
Hi,
We bought the Business Medium version of the booking calender.
How can we configure that multiple bookings are possible at the same day, at the same rangetime?
kindest regards,
Bart
Hello.
Unfortunately, if you are need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same timeslot at same date, its does not possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Please read my suggestion below about the possible configuration.
0) You can activate ability to make unlimited number of bookings per any dates/times. Please open the General Booking Settings page and in the "Advanced section" activate this option: "Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s)".
1) At the Booking Calendar Business Small and Business Medium versions are possible to make the bookings for the specific time slot.
Please note, if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.
2) If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity
At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation).
Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/
Also we highly recommend to check this article about different configuration of capacity and availability https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/
_____________________________________________ Suggestion! I can suggest that you can create the booking resource with specific capacity for the each of your times and then have the independent own calendar for the each of your time slot for the reservation. Its mean that your visitors firstly, need to select the times in the selectbox, where will be list all your options.
And only after that select the date and fill the booking form. Its can be look like this: https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource-2/

Kind Regards.
We are looking at purchasing a paid version of WP Booking Calendar. In any version, is it possible to configure importing of events from Google Calendar so that the events appear in the Booking Calendar as "approved" by default rather than "pending"? That does not appear to be an option in the free version we are testing--the events are imported as pending, and must be approved manually within Booking Calendar.
Hello.
In the Booking Calendar Free version you can make this fix, for automatic approving of all incoming bookings.
Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/lib/wpbc-booking-new.php
I think there is a bug in the contactform. We made 2 different forms for severel bookings.
In the confirmation e-mail the booking system takes always the [content] of the standaard form.
How can we solve this?
kindest regards,
Bart
Hello.
Plesee open the Booking > Resources page and assign specific custom booking form as default form to specific booking resource.
Then in the emails will be shoe content relative to specific default custom form for specific booking resources.
Kind regards.
of course, thx!
I want to export my bookings to a google calendar - how do I do that?
Hello.
The export of bookings to the Google Calendar is not supporting, yet. Its will be available in a future updates.
Booking calendar support only import of events from the Google Calendar (not 2 sides sync). Info about it exist in any settings pages at plugin website and at help configuration page of plugin website: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-gc-events/ The export functionality exist in our todo list for some future updates of booking calendar.
Kind Regards.
I cannot get the google import calendar feature to work - I have set up the api key as in the directions, I have copied out the calendar id, and made sure it was available to share. It still will not work.
Please tell me what is going on and how I can get this calendar feature to work. I have tried this on multiple occasions and this is the main reason I bought this product. I also thought I would have the capabilities of auto-export to google calendars as well.
Hello.
Please check this instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-gc-events/
there is detail description with screenshots of each step how to make configuration for importing of Google Calendar events.
Please try to make this configuration from the beginning and follow instruction step by step.
During importing of events from Google Calendar into bookings of Booking Calendar, system check dates of events from google calendar, and if these dates was booked with specific start and end time, this info also getting from the Google Calendar.
Kind Regards.
Yes, I have set this up exactly how your instructions have it. My google calendars and API key is set up correctly but does not import any events.
I need support to figure this out -
Hello.
1) Please check that you do not have any white spaces (empty spaces) at the Booking > Settings > Import page for the beginning and ending of options: "Google API Key:" and "Google Calendar ID". Just to be sure that you do not copy/paste this empty space accidentally by mistake.
2) Please open the Booking Listing page, and click on "Import" button at the "Actions toolbar". Please be sure that you selected times interval that fit to the events, that exist in google calendar, and was assigned to specific booking resource at Booking > Settings > Import page.
3) If you still will have this issue, then please send screenshots of "Booking > Settings > Import page", you configuration of importing events in popup dialog at the Booking Listing page before clicking on "Import" button and screenshot of your events from Google Calednar, and also screenshot that you set specific thi calendar as public in the settings of this calendar, and screenshot of configuration of your Google Calendar Key at the Google Console. Please send all this info to the support @ wpbookingcalendar.com, so then we will check and try to find where is issue.
Kind Regards.
I run an accommodation guest house.
I rent rooms which have one night stays and I book out the house which has a minimum of 2 nights.
I was sure my software let me set the min nights per resource but this weekend I have received 3 house bookings for one night only.
My developer said I can change this under
Set minimum nights:
Dashboard > Booking > Settings
Find: Days selection number: Min: Max:
Set min to 2.
However that effects all resources doesn't it - the rooms are one night and the house is 2 night minimum.
I am sure I have always been able to set them differently.
Can you help please.
Hello.
The settings, in the General Booking Settings page in Clendar section is applying to ALL booking resources.
If you need to configure the minimum number of days independentely for the different booking resources in different pages, then you need to make customization relative to this instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/advanced-javascript-for-the-booking-shortcodes/
For example:
<script type="text/javascript">
bk_days_selection_mode = 'dynamic';
bk_2clicks_mode_days_min = 2; // Min. Number of days selection with 2 mouse clicks
bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 10; // Max. Number of days selection with 2 mouse clicks
bk_2clicks_mode_days_specific = []; // Example [5,7]
bk_2clicks_mode_days_start = [-1]; // { -1 - Any | 0 - Su, 1 - Mo, 2 - Tu, 3 - We, 4 - Th, 5 - Fr, 6 - Sat }
</script>

I have a requirement to have the price shown and the price sent to to Paypal standard to be different.
You see, it is a requirement in Australia that the receipt that is sent to the customer (from Paypal) should have GST (tax) listed as a separate line. Or at least it should say "GST is included" on the invoice if it is not broken out separately. Tax rate here is 10%.
We can set paypal to apply the tax line, but it is adding extra 10% to the costs that are being sent from the Booking Calendar. I can reduce prices on the booking calendar to not show tax, but customers in Australia are used to seeing prices that include the tax. So they will get confused when their paypal payment is different to what they saw on the booking calendar.
Is there any way to show the prices on the booking calendar with the tax included, but then send the cost to Paypal without the tax included?
Hello.
Such ability to add additional costs, like taxes, possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium and higher versions. Please read more about this here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#additional-cost
You can have in your booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page, checked by dafaul and not visible for the visitors, some checkbox, like this: <div style="display:none">[checkbox my_tax default:on ""]</div>
And then at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page you can configure for this option "my_tax" additional cost in 10% as "110%"
Kind Regards.
But I think this will still send the cost to PayPal with the tax added. I do not want to send the cost to PayPal with the tax added. I only want to show the cost to the website user with tax added, then send a different cost to Paypal.
For example, if the fee is $100 + 10% tax ($110), I want to show to the client that the cost is $110. Then when they click 'Pay Now' I want the system to send a cost of only $100 to paypal, so that Paypal will add the tax there.
Is it possible?
Hello.
By default its does not possible. Sorry.
I can only suggest that you can activate the "deposit payment" feature, where you can set how many percentage of cost from the total cost to show in payment form after visitor make the booking. Please check more here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#deposit
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
Thanks. That's a good suggestion.
Hi again,
Is there some way that I can change the word "Deposit" that appears before the cost when the user is displayed the paypal button?
Ideally I'd make it say something like "Price before GST". I'm happy to make the modification to the code and then update it each time the plugin is updated if it means we can achieve this. I would just need you to let me know which file and line to update.
Thanks!
Hello.

_____________________________________________
Suggestion!

Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/lib/wpbc-booking-new.php
then find this code:
$is_approved_dates = ( $auto_approve_new_bookings_is_active == 'On' ) ? '1' : '0';
and replace it to this code:
$is_approved_dates = '1';
Kind Regards.
Hi,
I think there is a bug in the contactform.
<script type="text/javascript"> bk_days_selection_mode = 'dynamic'; bk_2clicks_mode_days_min = 2; // Min. Number of days selection with 2 mouse clicks bk_2clicks_mode_days_max = 10; // Max. Number of days selection with 2 mouse clicks bk_2clicks_mode_days_specific = []; // Example [5,7] bk_2clicks_mode_days_start = [-1]; // { -1 - Any | 0 - Su, 1 - Mo, 2 - Tu, 3 - We, 4 - Th, 5 - Fr, 6 - Sat } </script> [booking type=1 nummonths=1]
PS Please read how manually to configure Booking Calendar shortcodes here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/
Kind Regards.
Hello,
I have a requirement to have the price shown and the price sent to to Paypal standard to be different.
You can have in your booking form at the Booking > Settings > Fields page, checked by dafaul and not visible for the visitors, some checkbox, like this:
<div style="display:none">[checkbox my_tax default:on ""]</div>
Thanks!
Hello.
If you are using the PayPal as active payment system, then please make this customization:
Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/payments/paypal.php
then find this code:
$summ_show = wpdev_bk_cost_number_format ( $summ ); if ($is_deposit) $cost__title = __('Deposit' ,'booking')." : "; else $cost__title = __('Cost' ,'booking')." : ";
and replace it to this code:
$summ_show = wpdev_bk_cost_number_format ( $summ ); if ($is_deposit) $cost__title = __('Price before GST' ,'booking')." : "; else $cost__title = __('Cost' ,'booking')." : ";
Kind Regards.
