  1. Hi

My booking calendar is showing the cost tool tip in dollars and everything else in £. How do i change the tool tip to be in £.

    • Hello.
You can change it at the Booking > Settings General page in calendar section.
      Kind Regards.

  2. I am interested in the booking calendar plugin but want to know which version would handle the following.
We are a fishing club which has its own house and want to be able to have members book it out in the following way.
    (1) Members can book out the entire house which precludes any further individual bookings during the nominated period.
    (2) Members can book a single bed i.e. Bedroom 1 - single bed 1
    (3) Members can book a single bunk i.e. Bedroom 2 - lower bunk 1.

It looks as though using the personal version I can list each of the options as a resource but the overriding thing is that if the Whole of House is booked I need that to be the dominant resource which if selected would preclude any of the other individual resources from being double booked.

    Is this possible please?

    • Hello.
Its possible with aggregate parameter in the Booking Calendar shortcode.
      Please check more here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/shortcode-booking-form/

For example, if you will have 3 calendars

      - House (ID=3) shortcode [booking type=3 aggregate='4;5']
      - Bedroom 1 (ID=4) shortcode [booking type=4 aggregate='3']
      - Bedroom 2 (ID=5) shortcode [booking type=5 aggregate='3']

And if some one will make bookings for "House" on 2018-05-18 , in these case, this 2018-05-18 date will become unavailable also in Bedroom 1 and in Bedroom 2.

      Kind Regards.

  3. Good day,
My customer rented Campers now the camper can only be rented on a Saturday, so minimum rental period is a week. In the calendar only the Saturday colors in the rented color, is it possible (perhaps with programming, if so what will it cost) the rest of the week to be colored in the rented color?

  4. I have the Busness Small, problem solved thank you!

  5. I am not able to identify specific hrs of availability..only whole days. How do I correct this?

    • Hello.
The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

Please watch more in this video: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-timeslots/

You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the “shortcode generator” on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

You can use one”timerange” (timeslots) or “start time” and”end time” selections or”starttime” and “duration”of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/booking-form-fields/

You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-timeslots/

      Kind Regards.

      • Thanks so much. I don't see how I can switch to the small version which is what I actually need.

Do I delete the existing ..or deactivate? I didn't see the 'small' version listed in the plugin directory when I did a search under the 'add' option either.

        Thanks again!

  6. After 2/04 we didn't receive new reservations and now I checked and if I click on the reservation day that I want, the day can't be selected so an error is presented when I try to submit and the reservations can't be done.
I noticed that we have new configurations in backoffice, but even after check that I can't detect nothing wrong.
    Can you pelase help?

    • Hello.
      1) Please be sure that you have inserted the booking form shortcode (and not only the calendar shortcode).
Please read more how easily insert booking form or availability calendar into a pages https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/ or how manually configure Booking Calendar shortcodes in content of your pages: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/

      2) Its most probably that you are having some JavaScript error at that page. Please recheck your page for any JavaScript errors (usually for see what JavaScript error you have you need to press Ctrl {+} Shift {+} J for showing browser console) and try to fix them. ~ You can check for the most common issues on the FAQ page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ at the troubleshooting section.

You can also try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.

If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.

If you still will have this issue, please send the link to the page with booking form, where you are having an issue, I will check it then.

      Kind Regards.

      • Hi,

The question is: it was working perfectly fine before 2/04. We received reservations before that date.
Was there any automatic update to this plugin in those days? It seams that it stoped working after that date.
We don't have any JS issues and since it already worked perfectly in the past month I'm not sure if it isn't a configuration issue.
I notice that we have new sections in the Settings area that weren't there when we configured the plugin for the 1st time (like the type of days selection in calendar and also the check in /checout configurations).
Can you please tell me if there is any specific care that we should have with this new configurations?
The shortcode we have in the page is quite simple: [booking type=1 startmonth='2018-3'] is it wrong?
        Tks,
        AF

        • Hello.
          1) No, there is no any automatic updates. Last update was 2 months ago. And its possible to request update only manually for paid versions from this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

          2) Its possible that there is some conflict with some other plugin or theme, that you possibly make update in the past days.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason of this issue.

          3) Otherwise, if you still will have this issue, please send the link to the page with booking form, where you are having an issue, I will check it then.
          Kind Regards.

  7. How can I make sure that when page is refreshed, the selection box and calendar are also refreshed? They are not changing now on page refresh.

Testing business large and have 4 resource types, each with various sub-resources. I add the booking as a select in each page.

    My short code is:

    script comes first...
    bk_days_selection_mode = 'fixed';
    bk_1click_mode_days_num = 4; // Number of days selection with 1 mouse click
    bk_1click_mode_days_start = [4,5,6]; // { -1 - Any | 0 - Su, 1 - Mo, 2 - Tu, 3 - We, 4 - Th, 5 - Fr, 6 - Sat }
    end script
    then the shortcode...

    [bookingselect label='Please Select a Cabin Size:' form_type='standard' nummonths=2 type='1,2,3,4' selected_type='1,2,3,4' first_option_title='' months_num_in_row=2 show='cost' width=100% startmonth='2018-1']

  8. Hi,

Is it possible to change the color in the calendar just for one season's dates e.g. change the background cell colors for each day in the high season?

    Thank you

    • Hello.
Its only possible, in case, if you have defined unique rates (cost) for this season at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page (watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/rates-daily-costs-video-overview/ ).
In this case, the calendar day cells will have CSS classes, like this rate_50.00
where 50.00 its rate for specific date.
And then you can add this code, for making calendar day cells in different color:
Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/css/client.css

( you can check how to edit files in WordPress menu in this article https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/how-edit-file-in-wp-menu/ )

then add this code to the bottom of this file:
      .datepick-days-cell.rate_50\.00 { background-color: #e51 !important;; }
Please do not forget to clear browser cache before testing these changes.
      Kind Regards.

  9. Hello
I have created a new nightly rate for a particular week. I have done this before and it has worked fine, but today the booking calendar isn't recognising my new nightly rate.

I have created a Season Filter for the correct dates in the correct year and saved it.
In Costs and Rates, I've changed the amount and £s and ticked Enabled.
But when I refresh the calendar, it doesn't recognise the changes. I only use one calendar.

    Thanks for your help.

    • Hello.
      1) Please be sure that you have activated new rate at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page - Set checkbox as checked near specific rate.
      2) Please test it firstly at the Booking > Add booking page in admin panel.
      3) Relative front-end side. Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
      Kind Regards.

    • I've realised it was being overridden by other Season Filters - I had to disable those and untick relevant Valuation Days, and then it worked. Not sure if there is an easier way to promote a Season Filter above others?

      • Hello.
Yes, you need to be sure that there was no such intersections. "Valuation days" cost settings have higher priority then Rates.
        Kind Regards.

  10. Hello,
The plugin seems not to be working on Chrome/Firefox, not sure about IE. It doesn't allow people to make reservations. It just keep on charging.
I use the last WP version, the theme's name is Herald and the plugin (free version 8.1.2) is in this page.
    Please help
    Thank you!
    Kind regards

    • Hello.
      1) I was made test booking in MS Internet Explore 11, and also in latest version of MS Edge, and bookings was made successfully, without any issues.
      2) Please clear browser cache before testing. Try to log out and make your tests.
      3) Otherwise, please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
      Kind Regards.
