Visitors / Children - Max
Hello, I pruchased and its working now. I need to configure for 1 Resource a maximum/total of vistitors & children. I want that the Resource can be booked for 50 Persons in Total.
Example :
Day01 - 0 Persons Booked
Someone book : 5 Adults, 5 Children
Day01 - 10 Persons Booked - 40 Slots left
Someone other book : 30 Adults, 10 Children
Day01 - 50 Persons Booked - No Slot left, Resource at this date is not bookable.
How can I handle this? Its very important for me to make this working.
I tried different settings, but the capacity functions is not the right solution for my problem. If I set maximum visitors 10 and 49 child resources I get then 500 Persons who can book. Can you provide .php file where is availability checked, then I put simple counter of visitors and result not available when the total number is reached
Hello.
You need to have 1 "parent booking resources" and 49 child booking resources, and set maximum number of visitors as 1 visitor for parent booking resources. So in this case, you will have availability as 50.
Please recheck my comment about this here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/support/comment-page-44/#comment-17628
Kind Regards.
But like this maximum selectable visitors for each booking is 1 person or not? I will try.
Hello.
In case if you need to book several “slots” per specific day(s) you can select several visitors in the booking form. Shortcode [select visitors “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” “7”]
And you need to activate the “Visitos apply to capacity” option at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.
The availability in calendar is decreasing only based from the selection of visitors shortcode in your booking form.
So children selection must be part of visitors selection.
In other words the selection of visitors its sum selection of adults an children.
So you can have selection of total number of visitors as its now, and some other field, like selection of children that is par of selected number of visitors.
In the Booking Calendar Business Large version is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity
At this version possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But its possible to make booking only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only saved as data into database, but do not apply to availability logic).
Highly recommend, to check this article about configuration of capacity and availability for booking resources: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/
Kind Regards.
Hi,
but I have different prices for adults and children, like this how u describe I cant count different prices.
Hello.
You can define the addional cost (even negative ) for selected options at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page.
Please note you can have the total number of visitors selection.
And children as part of the visitors seletion.
Then configure additional cost for visitors as for adults at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page.
After this for children you can configure some negative value as additional cost, because it’s part of visitors selection and have lower cost per person.
Kind Regards.
Hi there, I would like to use your paid version, but first I need to test everything.
I was looking for e-mail settings, but didn't find any SMTP configuration. Does that mean your system uses standard WP e-mailing? Or how does it work?
Thank you
Hello.
Yes, that's right. Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails.
This function can be overridden by other plugins.
Please check here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/ the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for the prompt reply!
I asked the admin to configure an email account.
Meanwhile I have tried to put my freemail address to the field "from" in the email settings and I am getting an error
"Email had not sent. Some error occuered."
Do you know what could be wrong?
Hello.
Please make new test booking and then check about the new email.
If you was able to receive email so then skip that message.
Otherwise, please check troubleshooting instruction from my previous email.
Kind Regards.
Thank you.
I have tried to make a test via front-end and got this:
Chyba! Email had not sent. Some error occuered. Could not instantiate mail function.
Thanks for troubleshooting info (if you mean this https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/ the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.), but that is about not delivering emails. I am not that far yet 😉 This must be something with the setting of the plug-in. It seems it doesn¨t eve try to send it.
Hello.
It’s not the settings of plugin.
This message from the WordPress system from standard wp_mail function.
The mail function wp_mail can be overwriting by other mail plugin, if you are using some.
Or it’s can relative to configuration of your website. Basically you have not receive emails at all in this case, even if the Booking Calendar will be deactivated.
Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.
Thank you.
Works! Thank you!
hi, I'm using the business small with timeslots - like the Reservation resource #2 demo. Is there any way to mark complete days as unavailable, due to holidays, etc? Thanks
Hello.
1) You need to remove the timeslots from the booking form at Booking > Settings > Form page and then make new blank bookings at the Booking > Add booking page for these days. After this add those timeslots to the booking form again.
You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.
Kind Regards.
I already bought the plugin and it's very good...
We would like to know if we have the ability to split payments...
Here is what I mean if the total amount to be paid is over 10k then we would like to split it over 2 payments or maybe 3 if it's over 20k... Because some credit card companies won't approve the transaction... Is there a way to do it... What are our options?
actually i use the free version of the plugin, but i have a problem with automatic synchronize my .ics-calendar.
What i can do, to synchronize my calendar data automaticly and is it possible with the free version or i need the premium plugin for that?
Thank you for help.

Hello.
Booking Calendar plugin is supporting import and export of bookings between different sources, but how often and how fast its work, depend from several points, which is explained in the FAQ here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
Export. Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.
Kind Regards.
When I use the STEP-Wizard form, and let some field in step 2 empty and press then on "SEND" its jump back to step 1 but the hint that is something missing is on the step 2. How can I prevent is jump back on missing input field? Its very confusing.
Hello.
Currently such checking does not available in actual versions of plugin.
You will need to add own JavaScript code to each button clicking in each step relative to checking about some fields in specific this step. And do not allow to scroll relative to specific step. Such restrictions in the Booking Calendar because different users have different fields and different steps, that’s why it’s hard to identify what exactly step to set as visible during clicking on send button.
We will improve this process in the future updates of Booking Calendar.
Thank you.
I understand, but the form buttond "submit/send" let jump back the wizard. Some Script do this, how can I disable it? If you say to me wich .js file I can give a look by my self.
Hello.
Yes, that’s it. But please note, currently if someone skip required fields, he/she can submit the booking without those fields.
Kind Regards.
I will do a check for each step with custom javascript, thanks
Is it possible to add more information to the calendar mouseover popup instead of just reserved time?
I'd like to show the booking description that user submitted.
Like this: Reservations:
11:00-14:00 (user1 submitted text here)
15:00-19:00 (user2 submitted text here)
Hello.
It’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
You can activate this option “Show booking details in tooltip” in the Booking > Settings General page in calendar section to show booking details near specific timeslots.
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
Kind Regards.
Ok, great! We're running Business Medium 5.4.2, so that explains why I couldn't find this feature. Could I also have public/private bookings (eg. checkbox in the form) so that only the public bookings would show extra details? Or should I simply just create an optional input field and show that information? What is the best way to achieve this?
Hello.
Sorry, no. It’s will show details for all bookings.
You can define what exactly info to show there at the Booking > Settings General page. But it’s will be showing for all bookings.

Hello,
I have Business Large and am attempting to set up the Search feature, however all of my booking forms are in sidebar widgets, and the search is not finding them (http://www.granitepointpark.com/cabins/test-cabin/). I have followed the Search troubleshooting directions and have come to the conclusion that the error is due to the forms being in widgets rather than page content. If so, is there anything I can do to get it to recognize the forms in widgets?
Thank you!
Hello.
Yes, that’s is correct. The search availability functionality is working only when you have inserted the booking forms into the content of the posts or pages. The search availability with widgets does not support in actual versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry.
Kind Regards.
Hello.
You can make customization, to have in the content of the post or page some "dummy" shortcode for the search form and to have the booking form shortcode, in a place as its now.
If you want to make this customization, please follow this instruction:
Please make backup of all these files, before your modification, so in case if you will make some mistake, you can rollback.
1) Please open the ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/_bl/biz_l.php file.
Find this function declaration: function regenerate_booking_search_cache(){

FROM {$wpdb->posts}
WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND ( post_type != 'revision' ) AND post_content LIKE '%[booking %'";
and replace it to this code:
$sql = "SELECT ID, post_title, guid, post_content, post_excerpt
FROM {$wpdb->posts}
WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND ( post_type != 'revision' ) AND post_content LIKE '%[bookingtemp %'";
then find this code:
$shortcode_start = strpos($value->post_content, '[booking ');
$shortcode_end = strpos($value->post_content, ']',$shortcode_start);
$shortcode_content = substr($value->post_content, $shortcode_start+9, $shortcode_end - $shortcode_start-9);
and replace it to this code:
$shortcode_start = strpos($value->post_content, '[bookingtemp ');
$shortcode_end = strpos($value->post_content, ']',$shortcode_start);
$shortcode_content = substr($value->post_content, $shortcode_start+13, $shortcode_end - $shortcode_start-13);
2) Now open some of your posts, and insert the booking form into the content of this post.
Let say you are having Booking Calendar shortcode, like this:
[booking type=4 form_type='standard' nummonths=1]
Its means that in the content of the post or page you need to insert this code:
These conditions are present on the booking forms on each page, but not applied when searching the resources. We need these conditions applied when using the search.
Thank you!
Hello.
unfortunately, actual versions of Booking Calendar does not support such conditions for search form. Sorry.
This feature exist in our TODO list, and it will be available in some future updates of plugin.

Hello,
Please describe the "security issue", are there any permissions? is .htaccess permission different than 655
There are three plugins (booking calendar+duplicator+lightspeed cache).
I disabled duplicator+lightspeed cache, and am receiving the same 404 error.
I've built the VPS using LAMP and Duplicator to import my website. I can access the error.log in apache.
Thanks
Hello.
1) The security issue can depend from your server, so I can not say what exactly it can be. More info about this have to know your server administrator or support of hosting.
2) Please try to clear or search content and deactivate those 2 plugins.
3) Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors.
Thank you.
hi, I am not receiving bookings via email. No, I don't have a server email for my website creaturecomfortscreative.com. But I have been receiving booking notifications via email previously. What's changed?

Hello.
Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.
Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/
The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
Kind Regards.
