  1. Hi. I am looking for a new booking system for two things; a corporate building and a apartment building. This plugin seems really good, but before I invest more time into this I want to ask a few questions.

    First question, for the Corporate building we are going to have a two meeting rooms and a auditorium that all the companies working here can log in to and book hourly. If I want hourly booking throughout the day I need the Small Business package right? Is there a way to restrict who can book the rooms, lets say creating users for the companies that can book?

    Second question, for the apartment building we only want to use it like a overview for the owners and the staff managing the apartments. It will not be visible for the people renting them they should not be able to rent apartments though this system. Look at it like a tool for the management to see what rooms are rented and what is available and the staff will manually update the system. I want this to have the possibilty to have minimum two users so the staff can have one user and the owners can have one. Is this possible?

    Kind regards.

    • Hello.
      1) You can insert the booking forms into the password protected pages (its standard functionality in WordPress), and then inform the password to such pages to your registered users.

      2) You can create the bookings only at the back and side at the Booking > Add booking page. Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/add-new-booking-admin-video-tutorial/

      And into the front-end side you can insert the availability calendars only (without the booking forms), or Timeline view (its the same view as in "Calendar Overview" page in admin panel, but in read only mode), so your owners can check the overview of bookings at front-end side (may be in password protected pages, as well).
      You can check how is looking like the Timelines view here https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/timeline/

      Please read more how easily insert booking form or availability calendar into a pages https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/ or how manually configure Booking Calendar shortcodes in content of your pages: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/

      3) The bookings for specific timeslots possible even in the Booking Calendar Free version ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking/ ).

      But I recommend to check the Booking Calendar Business Small version, as well.

      The ability to book for the specific times possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1).
      In lower versions of Booking Calendar (including free version), possible to make bookings for specific times only for specific restricted time-slots.

      Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

      Please watch more in this video: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-timeslots/

      You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

      You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

      You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you for your quick answer, it explained a lot! I might be giving this a try. I do however have some followup questions:

        1) It seems like the interface on my plugin is different from the tutorial videos. I can't see the Resources in the menu list on the left side. Have it been removed?

        All i see is:
        Booking:
        > Bookings
        > Add bookings
        > Setting
        -----------------
        > Premium

        2) To let the users choose whatever hourly timeslots they want I need to have the Business Small? As I can see in the free version it's only the specific times I choose.

        3) In the admin panel "Add booking". Is it possible to select multiple days without clicking every single one? For example if I choose 1st and 31st in a month, the whole month gets selected? Right now I can only choose one day at a time if I try.

        • Hello.
          1) The booking resources available only in the paid versions of Booking Calendar. The ability to have independent calendars possible in any paid versions of Booking Calendar. Check more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#booking-resources ~ You can watch video overview about this feature here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/multiple-calendars-video-overview-of-booking-resources-in-booking-calendar/ ~ Please read firstly the general instruction about usage of paid versions of Booking Calendar: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/general-usage-instruction/ ~ You can create the different booking resources (your properties or services - unique calendars) at the Booking > Resources page and then you be able to insert booking forms for each of your booking resources into the posts or pages. Please read more how to insert and configure the booking shortcode into the post or page here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/

          2) You can configure different timeslots in the Booking Calendar Free version as well. You can configure it at the Booking > Settings > Form page .

          In the Booking Calendar Business Small version you can have different fields for times selection, like start time and end time selection fields.

          Please watch more in this video: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-timeslots/
          You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

          Kind Regards.

          • Thank you for the answer!

            For our meeting rooms we must have one hour intervals. From my understanding you can't choose multiple hours in one booking, but only a "start time" and a "duration time" only?

            There is no option to simply just choose the hours I want in the available hourly list? For example this is how we see the "select times" below the calendar:

            Select Times:
            09:00 AM - 10:00 AM
            10:00 AM - 11:00 AM <-- Select
            11:00 AM - 12:00 PM <-- Select
            12:00 PM - 13:00 PM <-- Select

            Can it be configured to select these three hours in one single booking?

            One last question, can bookings become auto confirmed?

            • Hello.
              No such selection with multple time slots selection, does NOT possible.
              Instead of that you can use start time selection:
              - 09:00 AM
              - 10:00 AM -- Select
              - 11:00 AM
              - 12:00 PM

              and time duration selection:

              - 1 HOUR
              - 2 HOURs
              - 3 HOURs -- Select
              - 4 HOURs

              Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.

              2) Its possible to activate the auto approving in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions. You can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page.
              Kind Regards.

  2. Just purchased the personal and needed the business version due to the need for time appointments. Can you adjust or do I have to buy both?

  3. Helo,

    I want to use some features, like hiding the form fields depending on the selected option. I would also like to send a mail to an additional email address depending on the selected option as soon as a reservation is made. Does this work in the personal edition or do I need another edition of the Booking Calendar?

    kind regards

  4. Hi i need to know something before i purchase the premium version
    I need a booking calendar on 2 diferent pages i can do that o r not?
    2 different divisions.

  5. Hi there,

    I'd like to check a few things before committing to your booking calendar please.

    We have requirements for an airsoft arena - 2 hour booking slots for 3 days per week:

    Availability:
    Fri: 5pm - 8:30pm
    Sat: 10am - 2:30pm
    Sun: 10am - 2:30pm

    We also need 'Add ons' - from what I've researched so far these could be 'Resources' within the plugin?

    We'd like 4 different add ons - customer would be able to select up to a maximum '10' for each add on, each add on would have a price which would be multiplied by the amount selected and added to the total booking cost:

    Player(s) (no gear) - upgrade (mask, gun 300 rounds ammo) - $39
    Player(s) (has gear) - $20
    3500 rounds of ammo - $20
    Upgrade gun to HPA with recoil (ea) - $20

    Is this thing possible with your plugin? Happy to buy the paid version.

    Thank you

  6. Hi,
    i need a bit of help please with the form customization css.

    1)
    i want some form fields to be one next to the other on the same line.
    For example i want the "First Name" and "Last Name" to be next to each other on the same line.
    Then "Email" and "Phone" on the same line
    And then "Adults" and "Children" on same line.
    Can you please tell me how to do this with css.

    I use the 2 columns template, so the "Details" box will be under the calendar and form, which is want i want.

    2)
    Also i want the entire thing (calendar and form) to be aligned in the center of the page.
    I use the enfold theme.
    Inside a text block i have:
    [booking type=2]
    but that doesn't seem to work.

    Can you help me please?

    Thank you

    • Hello.
      Try to use this booking form configuration:

      <div class="all_booking_form">
      <div style="float:left;margin-right:10px;   " >  [calendar]  </div>
      <div style="float:left;" >
           <div style="float:left;margin-right:1em;" >
              <p>First Name (required):<br />[text* name] </p>
           </div><div style="float:left;" >
               <p>Last Name (required):<br />[text* secondname] </p>
           </div><div  style="clear:both"></div>
           <div style="float:left;margin-right:1em;" >
               <p>Email (required):<br />[email* email] </p>
           </div><div style="float:left;" >
               <p>Phone:<br />[text phone] </p>
           </div><div  style="clear:both"></div>
           <div style="float:left;margin-right:1em;" >
               <p>Adults:<br />[select visitors "1" "2" "3" "4"]</p>
           </div><div style="float:left;" >
               <p>Children:<br />[select children "0" "1" "2" "3"]</p>
           </div><div  style="clear:both"></div>
      </div>
      <div  style="clear:both">
           <p>Details:<br /> [textarea details 100x5 class:col-md-6]</p>
           <div  style="clear:both"></div>
            [captcha]
           <p>[checkbox* term_and_condition use_label_element "I Accept term and conditions"]</p>
           <hr/><p>[submit class:btn "Send"] </p>
      </div>
      <div>
      <style type="text/css">
         /* Center form. Just define correct width of this form */
        .all_booking_form {
           width: 850px;
           margin: 1px auto;
        }
      </style>

  7. Hi there

    In the E-Mails, the list of the dates looks quite messy, e.g. with 4 dates chosen:

    7. Dezember 2018 13:00, 7. Dezember 2018 18:00, 14. Dezember 2018 13:00, 14. Dezember 2018 18:00, 21. Dezember 2018 13:00, 21. Dezember 2018 18:00, 28. Dezember 2018 13:00, 28. Dezember 2018 18:00

    It displays all the start and end times separated with a comma. Is there an option to only display the date(s) without start and end? That information is displayed in the [content] anyways.

    So I need the email shortcode [dates] to only show the dates, if possible as a list. Or comma-separated.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best,
    Marcial

    • Hello.
      Instead of [dates] shortcode, for showing comma departed dates you can use these 2 shortcodes in the email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page:
      [check_in_date] - inserting check-in date (first day of reservation),
      [check_out_date] - inserting check-out date (last day of reservation).

      Please check help section at specific settings email page about what shortcodes you can use.
      Kind Regards.

      • Hi there

        Is that also working when users can choose multiple dates (it's for bookings that last only one day but that can repeat multiple times)? Does it show all the dates?

        Another question: how do I change the color of the links in the email? They are orange right now and I don't know where I've set that.

        Best,
        Marcial

        • Hello.
          1) If user select multiple dates, so in the emails will be showing only start and end dates (because these shortcode show only check in and check out dates).
          So if you will have not sequence days, its will show wrong data.
          For example if you select dates, like this:

          24.12.2018, 26.12.2018, 29.12.2018, 23.12.2018

          its will show as check in day only

          23.12.2018

          and as check out day only

          29.12.2018

          2) The color of links in your emails depend from the CSS style, which you selected or defined for emails at the Booking > Settings > Emails page
          You can override this email template in this folder ../wp-content/plugins/booking/core/any/emails_tpl

          Kind Regards.

  8. Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to have the price of the booking show up without having to choose a date first. Because my client would like to let people get an estimate by only choosing their region and type of service they want so that his clients can get a quick price idea without having to fill in the whole form.
    If that is possible, is it also possible to move the calendar in the form? I would like to have the calendar appear at a different place then the beginning in the form.

    • Hello.
      1) You can show cost per days in mouse over tooltips or in calendar day cells in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
      You can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in Calendar section.
      Or if you need to show the standard booking resource cost from the Booking > Resources page, so then you can use this shortcode:

      [bookingresource show='cost']

      at the Booking > Settings > Form page in Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      2) Yes, you can insert the Calendar shortcode into the any place in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page in paid versions.
      You need to move in correct place this shortcode

      [calendar]

      Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/
      Kind Regards.

  10. Hello there, how the season filters cover each other?
    I have a low season filter for months November-May. But inside this period is the easter time, in which i want to have higer prices. So i created another filter for the days 16-29 of April, with a higher price.

    But the price on my calendar remains according to the low season filter.

    Can you please explain how it works?
    Bets regards

    • Hello.
      You need to edit your “Low season” at the Booking > Resources > Filters page .
      When you will edit this season, you will need to deactivate (uncheck) dates from your Easter time.
      Of course for making such editing, you need to have this season as “Range days season” and not as “Conditional days season”. In case if you are having this “Low season” created as “Conditional days season”, then you need to delete this “Low season” and then create new “Low season” as range days seson filter at the Booking > Resources > Filters page .

      In other words your seasons must not intersect each other, if you need to apply different rates for different seasons.
      Kind Regards.
