  1. Hi, we have bought a calendar Business Medium SingleSite. For some time ago some hacker booking all the days even we delete them and our customers can't book any more. We use the Business Medium SingleSite [captcha] but the hacker finds a way to pass the [captcha]. We want a way to stop him. Could you advise how we could do that? I think he has a robot to do that. Our website is https://www.central-paku.fi/

  2. Just purchased the personal version as I only need one calendar and have only one resource. I perused the support forum entries but I did not find shortcode to load the admin panel in a separate WordPress page (instead of accessing via the WordPress dashboard). The site owner is not the webmaster and so a separate page (that I would password protect) would be greatly preferred. How can this be done?

    • Hello.
Thank you for interest to the Booking Calendar.

Booking Calendar plug-in does not have separate booking admin panel at front end side.
You can access booking admin panel only in WordPress admin panel.

You can use WordPress user with restricted access to all other functionality of WordPress.

You can open Booking > Settings General page in “Plugin Menu” section (at the right side of the page)  and set  Minimum  user role for accessing Booking Calendar menus as Subscriber.

After  this create new WordPress use with  Subscriber user role.

You can  check  what  exactly  such  users can  access in the WordPress admin panel  here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/subscriber/

      • Ok. I guess I'll have to work with that. The owner of the website is a fishing guide. He offers guided fishing trips in the morning (8am-12pm), afternoon (1pm-5pm), or all day (8-5). I set up these three time slots for the form; the all day overlaps both of the others. If someone selects "all day" in the form, will the other two time slots automatically become unavailable on the calendar? If, for example, the morning time slot is booked, will the all day slot automatically become unavailable? That is, will the calendar correctly deal with overlapping time slots?

Also, after purchasing the personal version and wading through the mass of configuration info, i found that the personal version does not provide for the "partial" booking icon to be shown on the calendar date. I think the owner will need that feature. Since I just purchased the personal version a couple of days ago and haven't yet used it on the website, how do I go about upgrading to business medium for one site?

      • ok, I'll deal with that. Since the owner of the website is a fishing guide, he has 3 options for fishing trips: (1) Morning session (8am-12pm), (2) Afternoon session (1pm-5pm), and (3) All Day (8am-5pm). I set up these three time slots as "selections" (mutually exclusive) in the form. Will the Booking Calendar correctly handle overlapping time slot? For example, if a client selects (1) Morning session, will the Calendar automatically make the All Day time slot unavailable? Likewise, if a client selects (3) All Day, will the Calendar automatically make the Morning and Afternoon sessions unavailable?

Also, after installing the Personal Edition, and after spending a lot of time reading through the mass of configuration information, I found that the Personal Edition does not provide for noting the "partial booked" icon on the calendar. I think the owner will need that feature. So I will need to upgrade to the business medium edition for one site. Given that I just purchased the Personal edition (one site) a couple of days ago, how can I upgrade without having to pay the full price of the business edition?

        • Hello.
          1) Yes, Booking Calendar have to handle that overlapping times.

          2) You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

          Kind Regards.

          • I was going through the upgrade purchase process and before clicking 'complete order' it said that the first 6 months support is free but will cost $124.50 every six months after that. This is half of the $249 original business medium version without discounts. I then found the following in the support pages:

"You can get support and ability to request free updates during 6 months after purchase. After this period, if you will need to get updates for next 6 months or getting support it’s will cost 50% from the original Booking Calendar version cost (original cost - its cost of Booking Calendar version without other discounts)."

As I expect version 9.0 to be a stable version and my uses are basic, I do not want or need updates or support after the first 6 months (if I do I shouldn't buy the plugin). I want to confirm that the support cost after 6 moths is entirely optional and that I would not be billed for it without my express request. Please confirm.

            • Hello.
              The subscription is optional.
You can deactivate the subscription (uncheck radio button) at the purchase page. Even if you was have activated subscription of getting updates and support you can cancel it at any time by using link from email after purchase.
Please check more useful info at the FAQ here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/
              Kind Regards.

              • I have upgraded to Business Medium and pretty much set up the form and emails. Don't need the payment features at this point. At present I only have one resource. Very simple and its working. I do however need to edit the form fields (change a few to required fields). After setting up the form fields initially and testing the setup, I did not see where could edit or add fields. Under Settings > Form I only see the fields indicated in HTML with the first line of HTML code being ". I tried editing the HTML (adding asterisk) but this did not work. I do not see where there is access to the field input screen that I used to initially create the fields and mark those required. I checked support videos and did not find an answer. Thanks for your help.

                • Hello.
                  1) You can edit the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/

                  2) In case, if you want to have the same booking form editor as in the Booking Calendar Free version, then open the Booking > Settings General page in "Form" section an activate this option "Simple Booking Form".
                  Kind Regards.

  3. Hi
    I have a free version

I changed the domain of the wp site and the calendar seems empty although reservations are there (imported with your plugin)

    check https://valerija.eu/availability/ (before was valerija.si)

I tried a prior version, I deleted data in the tables... no change

    Thanks for any help

    • Hello.
Do you see the bookings in admin panel at the Booking Listing page ?

If yes then If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the “Advanced section”, please be sure that you have not activated this option: “Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):”. This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.

Also this option “Use pending days as available” must be unchecked, as well. It’s located at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like “WP Super Cache” or “W3 Total Cache”. If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      • no cashing used, all unchecked

tried manualy to insert one booking, error is :
Error during inserting into BD - Dates
        [F:/wpbc-booking-new.php| L:438|V:2.0.22| DB:Duplicate entry 11-0000-00-00 00:00:00 for key booking_id_dates::INSERT INTO wpku_bookingdates (booking_id, booking_date, approved) VALUES (11, 0000-00-00 00:00:00, 0 ), (11, 0000-00-00 00:00:00, 0 )]

          • I do not think this is the case

You can see that the dates selected are empty - so it is like the shown calendar is not connected to the data (it doesn't show reservations either)

            • Hello.
You have activated some other booking plugins that make this conflict.

Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason of this issue.

    • Hello.

You can  make the blank  booking  for such date(s) at  the Booking > Add booking page,  to set such date(s) as unavailable.

In the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions you can use “Auto fill” button at the top toolbar in the Booking > Add booking page to make the fast blank booking in 3 mouse clicks.

If you need to  set  different available dates for the different seasons, then  it's possible in the  Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#availability
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-video-season-availability/

      • is this also available on free version?
can find that option on free version 🙂

        thanks super fast reply!

        • Hello.
In the Booking Calendar Free version the only way to block specific date, it's make new blank booking at the Booking > Add booking page.
          Kind Regards.

  5. Hi there, I have Business Large, and I'm trying to customize my form but it's not allowing it? Could it be a theme css conflict? I don't know how to find out, I'm not that programming-savvy.

It appears to be ignoring my layout, and is instead putting all the fields directly under each other.

In the form builder, I've edited the HTML and removed the extra br and p tags, though... so it should appear with two items per line like so:

First name: _________ Last name: __________
    Email: _____________ Phone: _________
    Adults: __ Children: __

    [calendar]

    Dates: [selected_short_dates_hint]   (([nights_number_hint] - night(s))
    [condition name="family" type="season" value="Family-Friendly"]
NOTE: You have selected one or more "Family Friendly" dates! Please be aware there may be children on-site at other Villas and in common areas. You are permitted to bring up to 2 children (ages 5-16) if you are staying in a Villa with a couch.
    [/condition]
Full cost of the booking: [cost_hint]

First Name (required): [text* name]   Last Name (required): [text* secondname]
Email (required): [email* email]   Phone: [text phone]
    Adults: [select adults class:col-md-1 "1" "2"]   [condition name="children" type="season" value="Family-Friendly"]Children: [select children class:col-md-1 "0" "1" "2"][/condition]
    Comments: [textarea comments]
    [checkbox* terms_and_conditions use_label_element "I accept the Terms & Conditions"]
[checkbox* refund_policy use_label_element "I have read and understand the Refund Policy"]
    [captcha]
    [submit class:btn "Send"]

The form in question appears on this page at the moment:

    • Hello.
Please send exact configuration of your booking form to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com

  6. Hello,

I just want to show only every 4th sunday of every month available in the calendar. How can I manage this in the free version?

    Thanks

  7. is it possible to have deposit and balance payments xx days before the booking date? if so, how do I go about setting it up?

    • Hello.
It's possible to send payment request for the balance cost only manually.
Here is little instruction about deposit payments and MANUAL sending payment request for payment balance (rest from the sum). It’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

Please read firstly this article about the correct configuration of the "payment link" : http://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/configure-editing-cancel-payment-bookings-for-visitors/

Then open the Booking > Settings > Emails page and configure and set active the "Payment request" email.

At the admin panel (if you was activated deposit payment) at the booking listing page for the specific booking you will see in the cost field the FULL cost, but inside of the "notes section" (you can activate it by pressing the note button at the right side of the each section), you will see the description similar to this:

      Total cost: $135.00 / deposit: $54.00, balance: $81.00 / - 11.11.2022

If you are want to request from the visitor to pay THE SPECIFIC sum, you are need to make these steps:

      a) Edit the cost of the booking, and enter the sum, which will show at the payment form. You are need to change the cost and then press the save button to save the new cost.

      b) Press the send payment request button to send the email with link to the payment form for the specific booking.

      • I'm still trying to configure the deposit payments for the site.

I've currently turned deposit payments on for one resource (https://hartleyandroseholidays.co.uk/index.php/properties/grenville-house/).

The client would like to allow the user to choose between paying in full and paying a deposit, how do I set this up?

If my understanding of your previous response is correct if the user pays a deposit there is no automatic way of requesting the balance payment (or further stage payment), this has to be done manually, is that correct?

        • Hello.
          1) You can activate this option "Show deposit and total booking cost together" at the Booking > Settings > Payment page, if you want to show deposit amount and total booking cost, after submit of booking.
          2) Yes, manually.
          Kind Regards.

          • Thanks for your reply

            I've set active the payment request e-mail, but I really don't understand this bit;

If you are want to request from the visitor to pay THE SPECIFIC sum, you are need to make these steps:

            a) Edit the cost of the booking, and enter the sum, which will show at the payment form. You are need to change the cost and then press the save button to save the new cost.

            b) Press the send payment request button to send the email with link to the payment form for the specific booking.

so for a test booking the order notes shows 'Total cost: £1 669.50 /deposit: £417.38, balance: £1 252.13/ - [2022-06-30 11:34]', I don't understand what to do next and where to do it?

  8. Hi Guys, do you hvae a link for configuring email settings for sending emails out? At the present I'm unsure if the customer recieves emails when booking/pending/cancellations etc.

    • Hello.
You can configure your emails at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.
Please note, Booking Calendar uses standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

Most probably you need to check point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

      Kind Regards.

  9. The fields on my booking form are white and the text is also showing up white. I saw this in the FAQ but cannot find how do do it in the Medium Business version.
    Your FAQ says:
How to change the colors of labels in booking form?
This customization is only for the Booking Calendar Free version. In the paid versions, you can easily configure booking form fields and their style at the advanced form configuration at the Booking > Settings > Fields page.

However, I do not see a "Fields" page to make these changes. The only tabs available are: General | Form | Email | Sync | Payments.
Can you please advise on how to fix this issue?

I have the current version of wordpress 5.9.2 and the theme I am using is Customify
