hello,
I need to know if it's possible to set a minimum number of nights for each resource and then be able to change the minimum number for different periods of the year?
Hello.
It’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
1) It’s possible to set the different duration of days selection depending from week days or seasons during a year in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions. Please check more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#advanced-days-selection
Hello, Is it possible to set a maximum amount of characters users can type in a text box on the booking form?
Hello.
Yes, it’s possible in the paid versions.
Watch it here https://youtu.be/1fuzkGJa5W0 at the 02:20 minute. You need to configure the Maxlength parameter for this.
Kind Regards.
hi,
can we make limited for 4 people / time slots ?
Hello.
Unfortunately, if you need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same time slot at same date in SAME CALENDAR, it is NOT possible in any versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry. Please check my suggestion below.
A) The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific time slot, this time slot becomes unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in the current specific calendar.
In lower versions of Booking Calendar possible to make bookings only for restricted time slots.
You can configure the time slots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.
You can use one "timerange" (time slots) or "start time" and "end time" selections or"starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/
You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: http://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.
B) If you need to make a specific number of bookings per day, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where it is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/apacity
At this version is possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less than capacity of the booking resource. But in this version is possible to make reservation only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only record data in the DB, but do not play any logic in reservation). Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here http://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/
Suggestion! I can suggest that you can create the booking resource with specific capacity in the Booking Calendar Business Large version for each of your times and then have an independent own calendar for each of your time slots for the reservation. It means that your visitors firstly need to select the times in the select box, where you will list all your options.
Hi
I wish to set up different rates depending on the Booking a customer makes. For example, I have different rates for the following times of year:
Peak Season (June – August) including Christmas and New Years – €cost per week
Weekends or midweek when available – €cost (3 nights), €cost (2 nights)
Off Peak Times of Year – €cost per week
Off Peak Weekends or midweek when available – €cost (3 nights), €cost (2 nights)
How do I set it up that if a customer selects a certain date then the relevant rates apply?
Hello.
In case, if you need to set the different cost for the different number of selected days, (for example, set some discount, if visitor select 2 weeks), then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions via "Valuation days" cost configuration at Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#valuation-days
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/valuation-days-cost-video-overview/
"Valuation days" can apply for any day. Or in case if you need to apply it to a specific season, then it can depend only on the belonging "check in day" to a specific season. It means that, if you select 2 weeks, the "Valuation days" can apply costs only depending on the check-in day belonging to a specific season, even if some other days belong to another season. In other words, if you will have the days selected with season intersections, then you can have an issue with "Valuation days". Basically "Valuation days" is useful, in case, if you need to set some discount or higher cost depending on the number of selected days. For example if a visitor selects 7 or more days, then booking will have a 10% discount, etc...
Hello, the new update don't show the sources anymore in the booking calendar overview and all of my bookings appear now with an issue, how can i fix all of them at once?.
Also there is a terrible problem, when I try to book a night i have to select the check out date also, and does not make any sense since it blocks that date and if i have a new one for that night i cannot select it anymore.
Hello.
1) What do you mean by source ? You do not see the booking resources of the bookings ?
If yes, then please be sure that you are using correct paid version of Booking Calendar and not the Booking Calendar Free version.
You can request the new update of the paid Booking Calendar version on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
2) In the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions, you can activate this option "Set check out date as available" at the Booking > Settings General page in "Calendar" section.
Yes i am paying, every 6 months... if it was to be expired i was supposed to recieve an email or something right? I didn't, How could i know then?
I cannot see which room is booked, only guest information...
The calendar overview dont show upcoming bookings since the update
Only issues with the booking structure, i have to delete every single booking and add it again??? Come on
Everything was working almost fine before...
What an inconvenience really
Hello.
1) Email with link for downloading your Booking Calendar version was sent to your email address. Please check spam folder, if you do not see it in inbox.
2) In any case you can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
Hi I have set up costs and rates for the following different options
Peak Season (June – August) including Christmas and New Years – €cost per week
Weekends or midweek when available – €cost (3 nights), €cost (2 nights)
Off Peak Times of Year – €cost per week
Off Peak Weekends or midweek when available – €cost (3 nights), €cost (2 nights)
I set up Valuation days for each of the options
But when i go to test the bookings on the website the costs are not correct
Hello.
Please open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and Activate this option “ Show debug cost info” at the Payment Options section. After this you will see your cost info at the front-end side of your website, for better understanding how costs is calculated.
Please note, important info about the “Valuation days”.
Tip. For example if a visitor selects 7 or more days, then booking will have a 10% discount, etc...
I still dont understand how the coreect costs is not working for me. I have set Rates/Costs for each of the different booking options. I have also set Valuation days.
Hello.
"Valuation days" have the higher priority than Rates.
"Valuation days" can work with seasons, only based of belonging "check in" day to specific season.
1) Probably you need to configure that in specific season, you can able to select only specific number of days. For example at "Peak Season" you can start selection only at specific week day (like Monday or Sunday) and be able to select only week (7 days).
After this you can configure the "Valuation days" like this:
Together 7 days = XX USD, if check in day in "Peak season"
Together 14 days = YY USD, if check in day in "Peak season"
....
etc...
2) For "Off Peak Times of Year" you need to configure the 2 seasons that do NOT INTERSECT with each other.
Days that include mid week days "Off Peak Mid week" and day that include week days "Off Peak weekend":
then configure the different type of days selection for this "Off peak days" selection:https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/shortcode-booking-form/#booking-options-condition
And only after that configure thje "Valuation days" like this:
Together 4 days = YY USD if check in day in "Off Peak Mid week"
Together 3 days = XX USD if check in day in "Off Peak weekend"
...
Kind Regards.
Hello, I would like to understand how to exclude some days from typical bookings (30/31 December and other holidays) Thank you
Hello.
You can make the blank booking for such date(s) at the Booking > Add booking page, to set such date(s) as unavailable.
In the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions you can use “Auto fill” button at the top toolbar in the Booking > Add booking page to make the fast blank booking in 3 mouse clicks.
Hi, we use Business Medium Version and get an error site if we try to pay with paypal. Paypal is set to live. Can you help?
Hello.
What exactly error do you have with payment? Can you send screenshot? Please send all this info to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Thank you.
Hi,
I need to understand how to do the blank days for ALL the time slots and not for every slot.
I have 7 time slots and now I have to set 7 times the blank day for every time slot. Let me know thanks!
Hello.
You can make the blank booking for such date(s) at the Booking > Add booking page, to set such date(s) as unavailable.

- Not able to import bookings from google calendar
- The customer cannot receive booking confirmation/notification or even calendar invite
- Can't select variation with the price during booking
Import.
Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/
Export.
Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/
Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.
2) Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.
The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.
3) If you need to set some additional cost for the booking, depending from selected options in the select-boxes or checkboxes in your booking form, so then it’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
