  1. Dear booking calendar team,
    Can you please tell why booking calendar does't take into account google calendar synchronisation?
    I have free version of Booking calendar 9.4.1 & WP 6.1.
    I have set API & ID of my google agenda, parameters to import booking,I know Google calendar send updates because I used to receive a confirmation by mail ....but nothing is updated into Booking calendar: why?
    How to solve this issue please?

    • Hello.
      1) Please try to make import / export via ics feeds, instead of Google API.
      Otherwise check permission about your calendars in Google Calendar relative to this instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-gc-events/

      2) Import.
      Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
      Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically accessing this page with booking import shortcode to start the import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly the system will start the import process and only then show the booking form, when someone visits your page.

      You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/

      Export.
      Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/Booking Calendar is generated .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some services (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into their own system, does not depend on the Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force the import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed for making imports.

        I have tried 3 times but still no update from calendar.
        May I ask you please if this instruction sheet is complete or updated ?
        As an exemple I don't find some information like:
        " 6 Copy "API Key" (later we will paste it into Google API Key field at Booking > Settings > Sync > Google Calendar Events Import page in your WP admin panel). Then be sure to select "Key restriction" as "None" and click on Save button.
        ---> but what about the question "application restriction"? & what filter should be choosen?

          Point # 1.6
          Please be sure that you have NOT restricted the Google API key, otherwise its can be reason of not ability to import events.

          Point #2.3
          Navigate to Access permissions section. Click the checkbox to "Make available to public". Do not select other option (be sure that was selected "See all events details"). Save settings.

    We are running the 'Business Medium SingleSite 9.3' version of wpbookingcalendar.

    The requirement is to add extra $50 per adults onward 5. How can I make this cost calculation for 5 to 8 adults?
    Please find the requirement as below.

    1 = 100 % of total costs

    2 = 200 % of total costs

    3 = 300 % of total costs

    4 = 400 % of total costs

    5 = 500 % of total costs + $50

    6 = 600 % of total costs + $100

    7 = 700 % of total costs + $150

    8 = 800 % of total costs + $200

    I tried to apply all the 'additional cost in formats' suggested under Help section, but got no luck.

    Help would be great!

      Unfortunately, such additional configuration of percentage and fixed cost for the same option, does not possible in the Booking Calendar. Sorry.
      You can configure or percentage or fixed cost per option.

  4. Hello,

    I have several identical rooms. Room #1 is parent of the other rooms, so that when a site visitor books a room, the booking is attributed to the first available one. This is fine.

    But if later I modify the booking (eg : simple text field), then it is moved to the first room available.

    I don't want the booking to automatically change resource when I change a minor detail. How can I prevent that ?

    I am using Version 10.Business.Large.SingleSite.9.4.1.

      After clicking on Edit booking button and redirection to the Booking > Add booking page for booking editing, please remove this parameter "&parent_res=1" from the browser URL, and reload the page. Then try to edit this booking.

      • Unfortunately, it did not work.

        I had a booking for Room #14, clicked on its Edit button. I was sent to :
        /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpbc-new&booking_type=14&booking_hash=283070b3b82cf5b3caafa3013c149875&parent_res=1

        I then loaded this url :
        /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpbc-new&booking_type=14&booking_hash=283070b3b82cf5b3caafa3013c149875

        and saved the form. This booking was sent to Room #1.

        Do you have another solution ?

          We will add improvements to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

            These are not "improvements", they are bugs that make my users work triple the amount they should.

            6 months later, I'm still waiting. Why pay for support ? I don't need new styles, I need a working plugin.

              The fast workaround about editing of booking (without changing child booking resource (re-update of booking source) we will provide during 1-2 days for you.

              • Just for your note, about why the booking update own booking resource. It’s was done during editing of the booking for situation, when user change the “visitors number” and in this case (depending form your settings at the Booking > Settings General page in “Advanced” section) possible to store this edited booking in several “child booking resources” not one (as before), etc…

              We have sent new update 9.4.2 to your email address.
              Please be sure that this option "Disable changing booking resource while editing a booking" was checked at the Booking > Settings General page in "Advanced" section.
              Note! If this check box is not selected, the system updates the booking to the first available child booking resource based on the capacity and availability of the parent booking resource.

  5. Hi; any idea how to define room cleaning cost in dependecy to booked days;

    e.g. something like "if booked nights < 7 then 30$ cleaning fee.. "

  6. Any advice on why all of a sudden i can't load the site when the WP Booking Calendar is active... keep getting this message:
    'There has been a critical error on this website'.

      Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

    Can I contact you by phone?
    I have a problem with bookings. I was looking at my calendar today and saw that several people want to book but I never received an email with the requests...
    Until a few weeks ago it worked but not anymore...
    Please find below what happens when I send a request:
    Erreur! Email was not sent. An error occurred. SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

    • Hello.
      1) Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins. 

      Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/ 

      The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.  

      2) If you already installed some smtp plug-in and have this issue, then please contact support of your SMTP plugin relative issue of Correct configuration.

      Because this issue of misconfiguration of the smtp plug-in.

  9. Dear Booking Calendar Team,

    I have updated my Calendar to 9.4.2 and now there are now more title entries in the Timeline on the website.
    I tried a fresh installation including deleting all data and starting all over again, but still no timeline.
    To be clear, the timeline itself shows fine, it also shows the booked days, just the title is missing
    The timeline was working just fine before the update.
    I have also checked the ajax and as I can see, the answer coming back from the backend contains empty in_cell_date_booking_title fields that used to contain the name of the booker.
    Is this a bug or do I need to reconfigure the plugin after the update?

      2) You can activate and configure, what to show in Timeline, at the Booking > Settings General page in "Timeline (front-end)" section.
