  1. Hi There,
We seem to have a new issue.

When customer has made a booking, sometimes we need to go into the back end and change it, to a different resource.

Normally we first change the resource via the 'Change Resource' button.
Then we click the 'Edit Booking' button, and change the Booking itself.

We've noticed lately that isn't working.
(Possibly since updating to version 9.4.3.1)
We've since updated to version 9.5 but are still having the same problem.

    What is happening now is:
We change the resource via the 'Change Resource' button, which works fine.
Then we click the 'edit booking' button.
I then select the Booking form, at which time the page refreshes, but still displays the original form (not the one I chose).

Then if I change the date and click save, it displays the following message 'Wrong booking hash in URL. Probably hash is expired.'
When I go back and check the booking it hasn't changed.

    • Hello.
      It's known issue.
System just show this message "Wrong booking hash in URL. Probably hash is expired", but all editing of the booking was made correctly.

      Why system show this message?
Usually after editing the booking, system make user redirect to one step back and open the Booking Listing or Calendar overview page, where you start edit the booking.
But because you have changes the booking form (during booking editing), it generate one more step in Browser history.
And when you finished the editing of the booking, system redirect you to the "Add booking" page, when you was with "Standard" form. But currently system can not open this booking for editing again, because you have already edited the booking and hash has been changed.

      What to do?
So in this situation you can just ignore this message and open the Booking Listing or other page.

We will add fix of this issues to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.
      Kind Regards.

  2. When you make a reservation, mail about the reservation is not sent to all sites (such as Google).

    help me....

    • Hello.
Not sending emails, can depend on the different items. Please check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

      Shot summary.

Firstly you need to check that you have activated and configured the email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page:
      - option "Enable / Disable" at the specific email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page, must be checked
      - also "From" field at the specific email template must to have the same website DNS as your website.

But in most situations you will need to install and configure some SMTP plugin.
We can recommend to install and configure this WP Mail plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
but you can search and install any other SMTP plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/smtp/

Why do you need to have an SMTP plugin?
SMTP plugins have to fix your email deliverability by reconfiguring WordPress to use a proper SMTP provider when sending emails.
This is a problem for a lot of WordPress sites because by default, WordPress uses the PHP mail function to send emails generated by WordPress.
The issue is that most WordPress hosting companies don’t have their servers properly configured for sending PHP emails.
The combination of two causes your WordPress emails to not get delivered.

It also can be a reason why your emails are marked as spam.
      Please check more here https://wpmailsmtp.com/wordpress-emails-going-to-spam/

      Kind Regards.

  3. Hi,
Im booking resources as mother child, selling bunks on a boat.
We have set it up so that there can be 12 bunks on a trip and we show availability and partial availability in the public calendar.
The thing is that we have an extra booking option that regulates which trip we do each week, and the first booker will set the trip basically. Is there some way to regulate or show that option, Like in the mouse over availability box or by restricting the option in the booking select box?

Thanks, Anders (divenarvik in the Swedish domain)

    • Hello.
Sorry, I do not sure that clearly understand about the functionality you need.

If you need to show the number of available spots per day then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version.
If you need to make a specific number of bookings per day, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where it is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity

You can test it in the live demo here https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com/
Watch video about this feature here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/availability-capacity-video-overview/

In this version it is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in the calendar will be available until the number of reservations is less than capacity of the booking resource. But it's possible to make booking only for FULL date, not a time slot (time slots in this version are only saved as data into the database, but do not apply to availability logic).

Highly recommend, to check this article about configuration of capacity and availability for booking resources: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/

      • Thank you for answering.
I have done all that and I have Business Large. What I would like do do is on this page https://www.divenarvik.se/en/booking/.

When you hover over a date, say 5th of june 2023 you can se available resources to book. But can I somehow also get what kind of Parameter setting is set for "Package" (That is set on the already booked "Mother resource", Parameter "Package" is set below calendar) to show on mouse over pop up. Or could you point me in the direction where in the code the mouse over function is set so I can code that my self.

        • Hello.
Unfortunately, in the popover hints does not possible to show such additional info about the package.
Popup functionality located in this file: ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder}/js/wpbc_times.js
          and located at this function:
          function wpbc_prepare_tooltip_content( value, date_obj, resource_id ){
Disclaimer. Unfortunately we can not start, right now, some personal customization or custom development, because we have almost no free time.
Check more about, what support we are providing here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
          Thank you for understanding.
Please note, if you modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guarantee the correct work of the plugin and do not support it.

          • Thanks,
Totally understand that, and appreciate the transparency.
            Cheers,
            Anders

  4. Dear sir/madam, in booking listing, i want to "export page to CSV", but i want to choose which fields are shown in the CSV. For example i dont want the name and last name to be in the CSV. Is it possible to do that?

    • Hello.
You can export existing bookings to the CSV file in any paid versions of Booking Calendar.

You need to open the Booking Listing page, then at the Actions toolbar click on the "Export" button.

After this in the popup dialog, you can define field names separated by commas to skip from the export.

After this you will be able to open a CSV file with bookings in MS Excel or some other applications.

      Test it here https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/

      Kind Regards.

      • Dear sir, there is a button "Export page to CSV" but when i press it there is no popup dialog. Is this because i have the 9.1 version?

        • Also, is it possible to have an automatic extraction of the csv, lets say every week? So i send it to my cleaning workers, so they know the schedule?

  5. Hello.
I would like to know of it is or would be possible to send each form to different email adresses. Not to send all forms to all available adresses.

Each form needs to be send to a different email adress.

    Thank you.

    • Hello.
In case, if you need to have the different emails for the different booking resources so then  you need to  check  the  Booking Calendar MultiUser version.
In this version each activated regular user can have their own booking admin panel and can configure their own emails.
So here different emails relative to  specific WP user,  and each  such  user  can have their own booking resources.
It's means that  different booking resources will have different emails. Selections of booking resources can look  like here https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/
Here is more info about this version.
In the Booking Calendar MultiUser version possible that each registered WordPress user (your owner) have own individual independent booking admin panel, and can see and manage only own booking resources and some other settings (other owners will not see the bookings from this owner, they can see only own bookings). Please check more here (at bottom of the page) https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/

Also each owner (user) will receive the emails about the bookings of their own service(s) or property (booking resource(s)) and can approve or decline them. Please note, that each owner WordPress user) will have different individual calendar(s) with booking forms in the separate pages. Please retest it in the live demo.

You can read more about the initial configuration of the Booking Calendar MultiUser version: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/multiuser-video-overview/

Please test the live demo of Booking Calendar MultiUser version here: https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/
Admin Panel of Multiuser version (here you can test several admin panels functionality): https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/admin-panel/

      Kind Regards.

  6. Can I trial the small business premium version or can you provide a refund within 7 days if the software isn't suitable for my client's requirements?

  7. Hello,
Is it possible to make limited booking times per day? For example, only 10 people can book this service. And should be separately booking. First time 3 people, second time 2 people and third time 5 people, and then will show that this day is completely booked.

    Thanks

    • Hello.
It's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Large version.
If you need to make a specific number of bookings per day, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where it is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). • I use Business Medium version. How to upgrade it to Business Large version?

        • Hello.
You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the “Upgrade” menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

  8. Hi there. Is it possible to autofill the name fields and email field when someone is making a booking. Users have to be logged in so it would just autofill their info from logged info (wp-user).

    Thanks

    • Hello.
Yes, it's possible. You need to activate this option "Auto-fill fields" at the Booking > Settings General page in "Form" section.
      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you for the quick reply. That's what I was looking for.
        Kind Regards

  9. Hello,
I am facing an issue because reservations and bookings are not visible in mobile version. When I use my PC all is good but switching to my smartphone the changes / bookings are not shown in the calendar although the bookings are made. All is stored in the admin panel. How can I fix this?

    • Hello.
Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with a booking form for do not cache this page(s).

Otherwise probably it's because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
If it does not help, please deactivate all your plugins and activate the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
We just need to find the reason for this issue.

      • Thank you for the quick response. I deactivated my cache plugin which solved the problem! thank you very much!

  10. Hi there,
Is there a way that a user who has made a booking can see the booking date etc on their screen. At the moment we can see on the backend as administrators, but would like for the user to also check what dates they have booked. I have created a page, and would like to show the date/location for the user that is logged in, so basically the contents of wp_booking->form.

    Thanks for your patience..
    Natalie
