  1. Am I able to change the duration of a booking? Our club adds a day either side of a booking (to allow for the pick up and return of the booked item).

Great plugin. I think it's going to be perfect for us.

    • Hello.
If you need to define the minimum and maximum number of booking days to book, then it's possible at the Business Small and higher versions. You need to activate the "range days selection mode using 2 mouse clicks" at the general booking settings page in calendar section and configure some other sub-parameters.

If you are meaning something else, please explain it more detail.
      Kind regards.

      • Thanks for the quick reply!

We offer day passes to events for our members, but if a user booked a pass for say, Wednesday, then we would make that pass unavailable on the Tuesday and Thursday. I hope that makes sense.
As far as the user is concerned, the booking is for one day but effectively the unavailability of the resource is three days.

        • Hello again.
Sorry, such type of functionality does not available, yet.
          Kind Regards.

        • But I should have said...it doesn't have to be automatic by the system, I'd be happy if the admin was just able to change the booking unavailability. 🙂

          • The editing of the booking(s) possible (to change the dates of the booking).
But its means, that after each booking your administrator need to edit the booking to change the booking dates.

Also please note, if you will use the Booking Calendar Business Large version and booking resources with specific capacity, such type of editing you will be need to make at the client side (using the edit link from the emails), at the admin side its does not possible to edit the dates of such booking, because there will be calendar for the single "child" resource and not for the parent resources. Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-resource/

  2. Hi is there any way to remove the powered by wordpress link in the calendar? oh, the linking back to wordpress as well. The only reason I want to remove it is because my client has competitors who copy everything he gets on his site and he doesn't want them to know where we get things from. Is there a booking version with time and date altogether?

    Thank you

    • Hello.
      1) Yes, you can deactivate this link at the General Booking Settings page in the main section after expanding this section: "Show settings of powered by notice".
      2) The ability to configure bookings for the specific times possible only in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions. Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Fields page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

You can use one"timerange" (timeslots) or "start time" and"end time" selections or "starttime" and "duration" of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes.

Please read more about the booking form fields configuration herehttps://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

Please note, Booking Calendar support only in-line month view calendar, where visitors can select specific date for the booking, and times visitor can select or enter in the booking form fields.
      Kind Regards.

  3. Hi
I have a big problem. I installed the booking plugin to my WP site and now though i'm still logged into WP admin i'm seeing a blank page. I can't get inside admin. I don't know what went wrong. I probably wrote inside one of the booking files by accident. Any help? I'm going out of my mind here. I'm supposed to go over the final draft of the website with my client tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help as to how i can get the site back.

    • Hello.
If you was modified the source code and have some mistake in the code of the plugin and because of that have this issue, you need
to open the ../wp-content/plugins/ folder using the FTP. Then delete the "booking" folder or rename it to some other name. After This WordPress will not load the plugin and you have not to see that issue (if the issue was in that plugin).

Then you can download the new version of Booking Calendar and install it. The Booking Calendar Free version you can download from the WordPress directory. You can request the new update of Booking Calendar paid versions on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

  4. Hi, when hovering over a partially booked day on the calendar there is a tooltip which gives the checkin/checkout date. I know I can edit the text of this tip, but is there a way to remove it all together please?

    Thank you.

    • Hello.
Are you meaning to not show the tooltip at all, when mouse over specific day?
      Kind regards.

      • Yes please, I'd like it to display no tooltip at all when the mouse is over any day.

        • Hello.
          Please make this customization.
          Please open this file ../booking/js/wpdev.bk.js

          then find this code:

          function prepare_tooltip(myParam){
and replace it to this code:

          function prepare_tooltip(myParam){ return;

  5. Greetings, I am considering using this plugin to book vacation homes and I have a question. Is there any way to use an incoming ical or ics feed to block off dates which are booked for each one of our properties?

    • Hello.
Unfortunately, this feature are not supporting yet. Sorry

      Kind Regards.

  6. Hello,

I'm curious as to why I'm getting an error message when trying to delete the default "Jony Smith" booking that is "pending". This needs to be deleted. Please advise on how to do so.

    Thank you.

    • Hello.
I am not sure that clearly understood. What exactly waring message do you see ?
Can you send the screenshot of that message to support email: support @ wpbookingcalendar.com ?
      Kind regards.

  7. A few months ago I contact you all about an issue I was having with reservations not automatically cancelling if they were unpaid, but I'm still having the same problem after following your suggestion. I've created a short screen capture video here that explains the issue:

    https://screencast.com/t/GHYobybIB

    Thanks,

    Nathan

    • Hello.
You are configuring everything right. But initializing of the auto cancel bookings, which is already fit to the "time", that you set at the General Booking Settings page, starting at the moment, when you or you visitor is opening the booking form at the front-end of your website, or when you opening in the admin panel "Add booking page".
In other words, when visitor opening the booking form with calendar, system recheck about any bookings that have to be auto-cancel and delete them. Its was doe in such workflow in case to not configure the CRON functionality. And usually such type of functionality best fit the the visitors, they just do not see those bookings, which must be deleting. So please open the booking form at the front-end (or the Add new booking page in admin panel), and then open the Booking Listing page.

Other thing, which you can check, its timezone, which you set at the WordPress > Settings page.

      Kind Regards.

  8. Greetings,

We have purchased the Small Business version of the plugin for a client project. You information below is very informative.

There are a couple of items that have come up that we don't fully understand or know if it is possible.

    1. The office rentals will be by the hour (hourly price) or by the day (daily price). Is it possible to do both? Do I configure the hourly and daily price in the same field?
    08:00 - 09:00
    09:00 - 10:00
    10:00 - 11:00
    11:00 - 12:00
    12:00 - 13:00
    13:00 - 14:00
    14:00 - 15:00
    15:00 - 16:00
    16:00 - 17:00
    17:00 - 18:00
    18:00 - 19:00
    19:00 - 20:00
    20:00 - 21:00
    08:00 - 21:00

They need to be able to rent any time slot but the form won't allow me to select more than one time slot. Also when I select "All Day" it gives me a total based on the hourly rate instead of the Day Rate. The short code that I am using:

    [select* rangetime multiple "8:00 AM - 9:00 AM@@08:00 - 09:00" "9:00 AM - 10:00 AM@@09:00 - 10:00" "10:00 AM - 11:00 AM@@10:00 - 11:00" "11:00 AM - 12:00 PM@@11:00 - 12:00" "12:00 PM - 1:00 PM@@12:00 - 13:00" "1:00 PM - 2:00 PM@@13:00 - 14:00" "2:00 PM - 3:00 PM@@14:00 - 15:00" "3:00 PM - 4:00 PM@@15:00 - 16:00" "4:00 PM - 5:00 PM@@16:00 - 17:00" "5:00 PM - 6:00 PM@@17:00 - 18:00" "6:00 PM - 7:00 PM@@18:00 - 19:00" "7:00 PM - 8:00 PM@@19:00 - 20:00" "8:00 PM - 9:00 PM@@20:00 - 21:00" "All Day@@08:00 - 21:00"]

    2. Is it possible to book the office for an entire day when more than 4 hours are selected? It is cheaper for the customer to pay the daily rate than to pay by the hour after 4 hours.

I appreciate your time and response.

    Thanks

    • Hello.
The timeslots configuration in your example is correct. You can only use instead of the last option "All Day@@08:00 - 21:00" this one "All Day@@00:00 - 23:59"

If you set the cost per hour, then the system will calculate the cost per each selected hour. An it's mean that if you select "all day" cost will be as 24*(1 hour cost); if you will set that option as I was suggesting.

Also if you are using the Business Medium version then at the Booking > Resources > Advanced Cost page you can configure the additional (fixed) cost for the "all day" option.

Unfortunately, if you are using the "rangetime" selection of the hours, you can select only 1 timeslot. Several timeslots sections there do not support. But you can try to use 2 shortcodes for the times: start time selection and duration of time selection. Please use the shortcode generator at the right side of the settings fields page for the correct creation of the form fields.

Also if you will use the start time and duration of time selections, then you can define for the duration of 4 hours (or any other) the additional cost with negative value for having some discount for visitor; it's possible at the Business Medium version.
      Kind regards.

      • Greetings,

We have upgraded to the Business Medium version

Since rangetime won't allow multiple selections. I changed the Time fields to Start Time and End Time. Our clients need to be able to reserve office space any time within the time slots.
        Example: 08:00 to 9:00, 10:00 to 14:00, 13:00 to 17:00 or any time between.

Short code that I am using.

        [select* starttime default:08:00 "8:00 AM@@08:00" "9:00 AM@@09:00" "10:00 AM@@10:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "12:00 PM@@12:00" "1:00 PM@@13:00" "2:00 PM@@14:00" "3:00 PM@@15:00" "4:00 PM@@16:00" "5:00 PM@@17:00" "6:00 PM@@18:00" "7:00 PM@@19:00" "8:00 PM@@20:00"]

        [select* endtime default:09:00 "9:00 AM@@09:00" "10:00 AM@@10:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "12:00 PM@@12:00" "1:00 PM@@13:00" "2:00 PM@@14:00" "3:00 PM@@15:00" "4:00 PM@@16:00" "5:00 PM@@17:00" "6:00 PM@@18:00" "7:00 PM@@19:00" "8:00 PM@@20:00" "9:00 PM@@21:00"]

This seems to be working well. I still need a "Book All Day" option. Not sure where to configure that. I looked at the Booking > Resources > Advanced but not sure what to do.

        Also on my previous question:
"Is it possible to book the office for an entire day when more than 4 hours are selected? It is cheaper for the customer to pay the daily rate than to pay by the hour after 4 hours."

        You replied:
"Also if you will use the start time and duration of time selections, then you can define for the duration of 4 hours (or any other) the additional cost with negative value for having some discount for visitor; it’s possible at the Business Medium version."

Can you provide an example? Not sure how to do this.

I appreciate your time and response.

        • Hello.
For ability to book the entire day you need to have the selection the start time as this "All day@00:00"

Also, in the previous email about the booking 4 hours with discount cost I was mentioned for the selection of the start time and duration of time, because if you will use the start time and end time , then at the Advanced Cost settings it's does not possible to set the fixed discount for the options "4 hours" (04:00).

          • Still working on this and not moving forward very fast with this. As stated before:

            1. Our client need to be able to book each room by the hour (multiple hours) or by the day. The “rangetime” selection of hours does not allow more than one selection. I changed it to Start/Stop selection of hours to allow for various time selections.

I have configured the standard form to be hourly.

            Short code:

            [select starttime default:08:00 "8:00 AM@@08:00" "9:00 AM@@09:00" "10:00 AM@@10:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "12:00 PM@@12:00" "1:00 PM@@13:00" "2:00 PM@@14:00" "3:00 PM@@15:00" "4:00 PM@@16:00" "5:00 PM@@17:00" "6:00 PM@@18:00" "7:00 PM@@19:00" "8:00 PM@@20:00"]

            [select endtime default:09:00 "9:00 AM@@09:00" "10:00 AM@@10:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "12:00 PM@@12:00" "1:00 PM@@13:00" "2:00 PM@@14:00" "3:00 PM@@15:00" "4:00 PM@@16:00" "5:00 PM@@17:00" "6:00 PM@@18:00" "7:00 PM@@19:00" "8:00 PM@@20:00" "9:00 PM@@21:00"]

            2. Each room has different hourly rates and different daily rates. Anything more than 4 hours should be at the daily rate for the particular room.

I configured a separate resource for Room Eclipse and a custom form using “rangetime” for the All Day.

            [select* rangetime "All Day@@00:00 - 23:59"]

Both Calendars are added to the page: https://www.mboexecutivesuites.com/reservations/phoenix-moon-valley-eclipse/

Unfortunately, it is still totaling all the hours. Is there a way to set a daily rate or discount it to the correct daily rate?

I appreciate your time and response.

            Thanks

            • Hello.
              1) You are need to use the times selections in the booking form in way like this:
              <p>Start Time:<br />[select starttime default:08:00 "All day@@00:00" "8:00 AM@@08:00" "9:00 AM@@09:00" "10:00 AM@@10:00" "11:00 AM@@11:00" "12:00 PM@@12:00" "1:00 PM@@13:00" "2:00 PM@@14:00" "3:00 PM@@15:00" "4:00 PM@@16:00" "5:00 PM@@17:00" "6:00 PM@@18:00" "7:00 PM@@19:00" "8:00 PM@@20:00"]</p> <p>Duration:<br />[select durationtime "1 hour@@01:00" "2 hour@@02:00" "3 hour@@03:00" "4 hours or more@@04:00"]</p>

              2) You need to create the several custom forms (at the Booking > Settings > Fields page), as many as you have the booking resources.

              3) Now at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page you can set some additional cost for the start time and duration time options for the each of your custom booking forms, which you can use with specific booking resources (its means that you can use the different costs for the times selections for the different resources). Please note, for the "04:00" hours option you can to set the additional value as "negative" value.

              Kind Regards.

              • Greetings,

Thank you for your input. It helped very much in getting the plugin configured.

Another question. Can the plugin (medium) send the booking email to a different email addresses based on the resource?

We currently have 9 resources each with a custom form. If someone booked from resource 1 then the booking email will go to email1@mydomain.com, resource 2 then the booking email will go to email2@mydomain.com, etc.

                Thanks.

                • Hello.
The Business Medium version do not have this functionality.

In the Booking Calendar MultiUser version each registered (activated) wordpress user of the same single website (not the wordpress MU), can have own independent booking admin panel. In this version each of your registered wordpress users can see only bookings of the own booking resources and can configure own email templates. And it's means that each such resource can have own email template.

Please read more about the initial configuration of this version here:https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/

  9. Hello.

Please tell me how can I change length of text and drop down area which are created by yourself?

  10. Hi,

We are looking for a booking system that let us work with "agents".

We have wifi devices, but they are booked through hotels, so we need them to be kind of "agent" as Each hotel has a specific number of devices (resources). This devices are unique for each hotel and they cannot see other "agents"(hotels) inventory.

Is it possible to treat them as "owners"?

each of them would have a different calendar with unique resources, prices, avialbilities, etc?

For this I should need the "multi-user" account?

About payment gateways, can be added more or just paypal? we work with stripe now and its very user friendly to make refunds.

    thanks

    • Hello.
      1) In the Booking Calendar MultiUser version each registered (activated) wordpress user of the same single website (not the wordpress MU), can have own independent booking admin panel. In this version each of your registered wordpress users can see only bookings of the own booking resources and do not see the bookings from the other users. Also each regular user ("owner") can configure some own settings (like email templates, form fields, payment form).
Please read more about the initial configuration of this version here:https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/

      2) Unfortunately the stripe payment is not supporting, yet. The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support PayPal(Standard and PayPal Pro Hosted Solution), Authorize.Net, Sage Pay and iPay88 payment gateways integrations, other payment systems are not supported yet. You can configure and activate it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

If you want to make the integrations of your payment system by yourself, so you will be able to check how is integrated the Payment system (on the example) of the PayPal system at this file:../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php . You will be need to create your file with similar structure in that folder. Also you are need to include the calling of your file into this file: ../booking/inc/payments/index.php in the same way, as it was done for the other 3 payment systems.

Please note, if you will modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guaranteed the correct work of plugin and do not support it.

You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
      Kind Regards.
Please note that the Booking Calendar MultiUser version does not the same as installation of the plugin in the WordPress MU (multisite) environment.
