Hello,
I need de plugin in the original language (english), but, after install the plugin, this appears in spanish in my back-end and front-end.
How I can change it?
Thanks
Pep
Hello,
the plugin is installed and show the interface in that language, what active locale is set in your config.php file of your wordpress installation.
So if you are want to show it in English, please change the locale of the site to the en_EN at the config.php file, and then please make the FULL reinstall of the plugin.
– open firstly the General Booking Settings menu page, and at the right side of the page recheck that this option “Delete booking data during uninstal” is turned On (checked), its will erase all your booking data during deactivation of plugin;
- open the WordPress Plugins menu page and click on “Deactivate” link of Booking Calendar. Wait for the message “Plugin is deactivated successfully”. It’s important.
- open the WordPress Plugins menu page and click on “Activate” link of Booking Calendar. Wait for the message “Plugin is Activated successfully”. It’s important.
Ok, modified!
Thanks for help.
I have an urgent problem. I'm setting up a booking calendar for a Karaoke room in a nightclub. The major problem is that we need to be able to book the room across the hours of midnight and into the early hours of the morning. The validation on the calendar doesn't allow this to happen. Is there any way of overriding this whilst still being able to validate against pre-booked hours? The take a look at my installation here - https://bathkaraoke.com/booking-demo/
Many thanks for your help
Hello.
The problem with midnight timeslots its that timeslots untill midnight is belong to one date and timeslots after the midnight is belong to the other date (new day). So that's why you are need to select one of the specific dates for the booking time slots before or after midnight. If you are need to book the timeslot over the midnight, so in this case you are need to select the 2 dates.
Other possibility to book the timeslots with midnight is not possible at the current version.
Hi
I find this Booking calendar excellent. But still I have a slight problem.
When I try to enable paypal, I can't get the return URL to work. I created pages "success" and "failure" added the URL in the Booking calendar admin side, and on Paypal site (in the sandbox one for now). The payment goes through OK, but the redirect does not go to my success page but on the home page of the site.
I also tried to change the permalink format from, but no change. It always gos back to the home page.
Also for the failure page, whatever I put in the "Cancelled or failed payment return URL" field, when I click save on the booking calendar admin page, payment tab, it cuts the URL and removes all text after the /.
eg : I enter https://xx.zz.com/?pageid=123, when I click save I get https://xx.zz.com/
PLease help 🙂
Hello,
probably ,there is some issue with URL (may be some unsupported character), try to enter that link manually (not use copy/paste).
Hello,
that URL have to be saved only inside the DB of the system, so then, when visitor is redirected to the URL from your comment, he have to redirected to the saved URL from the settings.
But in any case we will retest for the nay issues it, right now.
Thank you.
Hi I checked the DB
I have those 2 records in :
"298";"booking_paypal_return_url";"https://www.xxx-xxx.info/?page_id=83";"yes"
"299";"booking_paypal_cancel_return_url";"https://www.xxx-xxx.info/?page_id=86";"yes"
Yoann
Hello.
Please try to make new resrvation and test according the description in previous comment. The tests according the exist bookings will not work properly, because it's already have the info about status of booking.
Hi Yoann,
I am in the same predicament as you are. I wanted to check if my DB also has the correct values. Can you point me to where I can see those? I am using HostGator as a hosting server.
Another thing, upon reviewing the exchange of responses from the support team and you, am I right to assume that after I book a test booking using a firstname, lastname, and email. Will it redirect me to the correct thank you/success page only once? And then after that it will take me back to the home page for security reasons as mentioned above? Because I have been trying to test it several times and out of I think 20 times that I have tested it with the same email address but different booking day and payment it only gave me one correct success page and the other 19 are all redirected back to my homepage. This is really driving me nuts.
If you can share to me what you did to correct the issue you have been experienced I think it would help. By the way, I have already corrected the code that restricts the cancel_return_url link to be modified.
Thanks!
Hello,
we are retest and there have to be everything fine.
Please recheck , that you are have the correct Success URL at the Booking > Settings > Payment page then,
try to make a new reservations. Do not make a new payment, just copy that URL (similar to this: https://www.mysite.info/wp-content/plugins/booking.bs.4.0.1/wpdev-booking.php?payed_booking=21&wp_nonce=31055&pay_sys=paypal&stats=OK - there will be different parameters), then copy paste and open it at a new browser page. Check to what page its will be redirected (have to be your "success page"). Please note, its have to open the "Success" page only once during first time of opening of that URL, all future opening of this URL will open the URL (redirect) to the home page, because of security reasons.
Hi
Did that but no luck.
The URL works fine to validate the payment, the status changes from "unknown" to "PAID OK", but i keep being redirected to my home page. Despite the fact that in the DB I have the right records :
“298″;”booking_paypal_return_url”;”https://www.xxx-xxx.info/?page_id=83″;”yes”
“299″;”booking_paypal_cancel_return_url”;”https://www.xxx-xxx.info/?page_id=86″;”yes”
Yoann
Hello.
So if you are create new booking and copy paste that link for success URL into the browser you are not redirect to the success page but to the home page, is it right ?
If yes, please send the screenshot of settings payment page and link to your page with booking form for retesting it. Please send it using the email, not support forum.
Thank you.
Yes that's perfectly right
How do I find your direct email. Can you please let me know where it is ?
Thanks
Hello.
Please send to this info @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Hi Again
And actually, when I remove the URL from the "Failed Payment URL" field, and click save, it comes back again with my web site URL.
Yoann
Hi
Thx. That fixed the "Cancel URL Problem". Working now
We just need to sort out the "OK return URL".
Yoann
My WP Booking plugin is not working properly, and neither myself nor my VA can fix it. I set up the booking calendar at https://mycoachtraining.com/private-coaching and integrated it with PayPal. It works fine up until after the payment when its supposed to redirect to a thank you page at https://mycoachtraining.com/thanks2.html. It doesn't; it only returns to my main blog home page.
I've made the thank you page URL the Auto-Return URL on Paypal, and also the thank-you page return URL in the plugin payment area. Nothing seems to work. BTW, I'm using MyInstantThemeB 1.2.0 by BoomerCo, and have about 30 plugins.
One thing I did notice - when I tried to type in a different URL into the "cancel payment" redirect space on the plugin payment page, then SAVE, it automatically reverts back to the home page (https://mycoachtraining.com) after trying to save.
I'm at a loss to understand how to fix this return problem, and may have to scrap the whole plugin if I can't fix it within a few days. Help!
Hello,
try to deactivate one by one all other of your active plugins, and test if its solve the issue with saving that link or not. If not try to deactivate the actual theme, and activate default one then test it again. Need to find the reason of this issue.
Kind regards.
Hello,
I am rechecked the "Cancel URL" saving and there is issue in the plugin. Sorry for that.
So for fixing this issue, please open the ../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php file:
find this code: update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_return_url'] );
and replace it to this code:
update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_return_url'] );
update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_cancel_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_cancel_return_url'] );
Hi, I am Michael Craig's VA and I already followed the instructions you gave here but strangely it still redirects the customer to the home page after payment even though I already entered the URL to the thank you page that it should redirect to. We really need this to work so all help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hello,
right now we will recheck it more detail. Its seems that there can be an issue with "&" symbols in the URL from Paypal "Return link", because if this link is opens directly, so then its open the "Success page" at your site correctly.
Please note, you can use the "Return link" to your page only once, second time its will redirect to the home page, because of security issue, so if you will need to make this test again, you are need to creare new booking.
Hello,
we are retested it one more time, and its seems that its working fine with "Return success URL".
Just please note, that the link ("Return success URL, similar to this: "https://server.com/wp-content/plugins/booking/wpdev-booking.php?payed_booking=18&wp_nonce=31062&pay_sys=paypal&stats=OK" ) is valid only once - its restriction inside of the Booking Calendar because of security.
So if you are click on the "Return to Customer site" link at the Paypal site, after you are made the payment (the link have to have format, similar to this "https://server.com/wp-content/plugins/booking/wpdev-booking.php?payed_booking=18&wp_nonce=31062&pay_sys=paypal&stats=OK") you have to be redirected to the "Success URL", which you are set at the Booking > Settings > Payment page (field: "Return URL from PayPal"). This link is working only once, if you will use this for the second or fusser times, so then you will be redirected to the Home page.
Also, according the URL of successful payment,
please try to configure the URL in your PayPal account relative to this instruction:
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the Profile subtab.
3. Click Website Payment Preferences in the Seller Preferences column.
4. Under Auto Return for Website Payments, click the On radio button.
5. For the Return URL, enter the YOUR URL for your site for successfull payment.
Also, is there a way to like reinstall the plugin and delete every record or trace of it from the system upon the uninstall? I tried uninstalling and then re-installing it but when I go to the settings after reinstall, all the previous settings were still there including the bookings from the previous install. I was thinking of maybe giving it a clean slate before reinstall then correct the code inside the ../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php file.
Looking forward to your response and help.
Thanks!
Hello,
For making full reinstall, please follow to these steps:
- open firstly the General Booking Settings menu page of Booking Calendar admin panel, and at the right side of the page recheck that this option “Delete booking data during uninstall” is turned On (checked), its will be a reason of removing all booking data during deactivation;
- open the WordPress Plugins menu page and click on “Deactivate” link of Booking Calendar. Wait for the message “Plugin is deactivated successfully”. It’s important.
- Now click on “Activate” link. Wait for the message “Plugin is activated successfully”. It’s important. Otherwise not all DB tables will be created, and you will have an error messages.
Hi I've tested the cancel return url if working just a while ago and it worked! But, the problem is the success page, no matter what I do it still redirects it to the home page. I was able to see the correct success page only ONCE. And yes I took note of what you said that I cannot use the same link again. So I REBOOKED another one USING THE SAME PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND EMAIL ADDRESS but it now redirects all my successful payments to the home page instead of the thank you page. Please help.
Thanks!
Hello,
Please send the screenshots of the Booking Settings Payment page (where is visible the field for the "Return URL" ) and the screenshot of the PayPal account page, where you are activated the "return to home site" option, relative to the instruction at the settings payment page, to this email info @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Hi
I just purchased the Personal version and there seem to be serious problems with the css in the back-end. I am using chrome as a browser. Whenever I hover over a link, other UI elements shift and disappear eventually. This means I can't use the plugin at all.
This happens in all areas in the admin section of the plugin. An example:
I go to the Bookings page
At the right of each booking are small icons to edit, delete, etc. the booking.
When I hover over one of these icons they all disappear except for the edit and delete icon and the move to other resource icon.
I had the free version installed before and there were no problems then. On installation I disabled the free version and deleted it. I then uploaded the "booking.personal.4.0.1." folder by ftp to /wp-content/plugins and activated the plugin.
WP 3.4.1
Booking version 4.0.1
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello.
Firstly try to clear the browser cache and then test it again. If its not help, so then please deactivate one by one you active plugins, to check if some of your plugins is generate this conflict or no. If its also not help, please deactivate your actual theme and activate the default one. Need to find the reason of that issue.
Comprehensive Google Map Plugin was the culprit. I have been searching for an alternative to this plugin, but can't find one that I like. Is there another way of fixing this issue? I really need to use both plugins.
Hello,
its seems that this plugin is conflict with mouse over tooltip of booking Calendar functionality.
So please open the General Booking Settings page and disable this option "Show hints:"
Set that option as unchecked at the "main" section of that page and update the settings, then test it again.
Kind regards.
This worked. Thanks
I am unable to find the file: ../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php
I'm using booking.premium.3.0 and ideas?
Hello,
this file is exist at the version 4.0 or newer only.
If you are use the Booking Calendar version 3.0, so then you are need to check this functionality at the ../booking/include/wpdev-premium.php file.
Kind regards.
I am trying out Booking Calendar (Personal) for the first time on a client's website: https://thereddingatrium.com/home/
I am using Headway Themes 3.22 for the design of this website. Look at the page and you'll see that the Blocks are shifting over to the left.
Headway Themes support says to "Disable Booking Plugin" .... and sure enough when I did the problem disappeared.
The problem is that my client NEEDS this Booking Plugin. I'd like to get it to work if possible before trying something else.
I did look through all the Booking CSS files and didn't see anything that might be causing the page contents to display outside of the page wrapper.
Hello,
I am rechecked your link, but do not see any booking form at that form, probably you are deactivated the plugin.
Regards.
Hey,
I am unable to edit a booking already created by a user because the calendar does not appear in the "Add Booking" page. I have every other field except for the actual calendar which allows me to select the date. Is there something I need to do to have this appear?
Other than that, everything seems to work fine. Thanks.
tHANKS FOR RESPONDING, i WILL CHECK IT FROM THERE.
Sorry about the caps.
Hello,
Our Booking Calendar is running with WP 3.3.1 version.
We have an issue each time a customer ask for a single night and when the arrival hour is after the departure hour, we have this error message :
Heure d'arrivée:
l'Heure de début n'est pas valide, sans doute en demandant le temps (s) déjà réservé, ou déjà dans le passé!
Heure de départ:
l'Heure de fin n'est pas valide, sans doute le temps demandé (s) est déjà réservé, ou déjà dans le passé.
Could you help please ?
Hello.
Probabaly you are activated the fixed time option at the general booking settings page and set start time older than end time. So in this case if you try to book the single date you will get the warning messages and system will not allow to make the resrvation.
Hi
I want to be able to use the shortcode [dates] in the topic field on emails that are sent out.
Is this possible?
Hello.
Unfortunately, the showing dates in the subject of email template in the actual version is not supported yet. Sorry.
So there is no way to show my users who has booked the resources?
In the actual version it's not possible,
But I think we will add this feature to the future updates.

Hello
I did that. enter directly the URL manually. But same thing. There is a "-" in my domain name, but this is not a non standard character.
A few more info. I check the URL requests performed after the paypal session for a failed payment and a successfull payment :
Failed Payment
GET https://www.mysite.info/wp-content/plugins/booking.bs.4.0.1/wpdev-booking.php?payed_booking=21&wp_nonce=31055&pay_sys=paypal&stats=FAILED [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 572ms] GET https://www.mysite.info/ [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 959ms]
Successful Payment

No sign of the return URL I added in the admin console either for success or paiement. Even though I entered it in the paypal interface...
Thx

Hello,
we are retest and there have to be everything fine.
Hello,
I am rechecked the "Cancel URL" saving and there is issue in the plugin. Sorry for that.
So for fixing this issue, please open the ../booking/inc/payments/paypal.php file:
find this code:
update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_return_url'] );
and replace it to this code:
update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_return_url'] ); update_bk_option( 'booking_paypal_cancel_return_url' , $_POST['paypal_cancel_return_url'] );
Hi, I am Michael Craig's VA and I already followed the instructions you gave here but strangely it still redirects the customer to the home page after payment even though I already entered the URL to the thank you page that it should redirect to. Hello,
right now we will recheck it more detail.
Hello,
For making full reinstall, please follow to these steps:
- open firstly the General Booking Settings menu page of Booking Calendar admin panel, and at the right side of the page recheck that this option “Delete booking data during uninstall” is turned On (checked), its will be a reason of removing all booking data during deactivation;

Hello,

Thanks.

Hello,
Our Booking Calendar is running with WP 3.3.1 version.
