I'm tasked initially with creating a website for an out of school childcare provider (breakfast club (BC), afterschool club (AC) and holiday club (HC)). The site would also have some other projects on it further down the line.
The client would like:
• only users (parents) she has registered herself to be able to use the system. She then passes login details on to users. Is this possible/what workaround would you use? (legal requirements for childcare require form filling/signatures plus deposit prior to initial booking so cannot have unknowns making a booking)
• users to then be able to book their child(ren) in for services and make payments in advance – currently three separate prices/slots on the same calendar - BC, AC, HC
• users to then be able to book more than one child with the same login
• Some payments made in part or whole by childcare vouchers. Is this possible? We would need to work out how these would be taken into account at checkout time. Could a code word be provided for example as a workaround?
Please let me know if this can be fulfilled by Booking Calendar prior to purchase and which plan we're looking at.

1) You can insert the booking forms into the password protected pages (password protected pages, its standard functionality of WordPress) and then you can inform password to these pages to your users, so only they can make the bookings.
If you need to set the different cost for the different selected options in booking form, so then its also possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions. Check more here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#additional-cost
2) Please note, here is important restriction. Unfortunately, if you are need to make the several specific number of bookings per the same timeslot at same date in SAME CALENDAR, its does NOT possible in any versions of Booking Calendar.
A) The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.
B) If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). For increasing capacity of any booking resource (including first resource with ID = 1) you need to add to this booking resources new "child booking resources" - (booking resources where "parent booking resource" have specified as your specific booking resource, which you want to increase capacity. Dont work your resource settings is too simple dont have any button for child parents noting, please help, if is a code just tell me the code and done......

Please open the Booking > Resources page, then at top toolbar, click on "Down Arrow" - its at left bottom corner in toolbar.
Then its will expand toolbar, and you will see new parameters, where you be able to select the "Parent booking resource" for new created booking resource, which will become child booking resource.

Its seems that you are using Booking Calendar Personal version or Booking Calendar Business Small version.
Please note, the ability to set capacity for booking resources possible only in the Booking Calendar Business Large or higher version.

SO you need to replace the shortcode at this page from "availability calendar to the booking form shortcode".
In your case, you need to replace this: [bookingcalendar nummonths=2]
to this [booking nummonths=2]

Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.
The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

I own the business medium.
Is it possible to send a reminding email to the customer some days before he arrives? Lets say if he arrives in 10th of August, the system will automatically send him a mail on the 8th of August, reminding him to come here, the way to find the hotel etc. This will be a really pleasant mail for the customer in my opinion.

Unfortunately, Booking Calendar does not support sending (reminders) of emails before or after specific number of time on specific action.
Booking Calendar support only sending emails, just after specific actions, like creation new booking or approval of booking, etc... Please check more at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.
This feature exist in our TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin.

I am having a pretty big issue with the booking data.
Long story short, I am working on a client's website and they were using the booking calendar (Version 9.Business.Small.SingleSite.5.3.1).
I created the new site on my local server, then transferred the bookings over by importing the old wp_booking tables over in phpmyadmin. This is seemed to work fine, however the old bookings that were in place are all showing up as blank. The booking time is still there in the calendar, but the information put into the fields are all blank.
Do you know what might be causing this problem and how to fix it?

Its have to work for sure for the new bookings.
But I do not sure about all old bookings, what issue was there.
You can temporary deactivate actual version and then download and install the Booking Calendar free version ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking/ )
to test all this. And after that you can request update of new your paid version.

The issue with the old booking is that after importing the tables in phpmyadmin, the schedule was populated correctly with the old bookings, however the information that people filled into the fields is missing. All the fields in the booking data show up as blank.
The bookings are all there in the correct dates and times, but the information is all gone.

Unfortunately upgrading to the latest version did not work.
The booking data is still blank on the new site.
Did I transfer the bookings over correctly? From the old site, on phpmyadmin, I exported wp_booking, wp_bookingdates, and wp_bookingtypes.
Then from wp_options, I selected and exported all the options that start with wp_booking.
I then imported them into the new site. All the bookings show up for the correct date and time, and the calendar gets populated. But none of the actual information is there like name, email, etc. All the fields are empty.
I am very confused and not sure how to resolve this for my client. 🙁

Since my clients are Portuguese and their WordPress dashdoards in Portuguese, I would like to have the back-end of the paid version of Booking Calendar also in Portuguese from Portugal. Do the supported languages include the translation of the Booking Calendar back-end interface? Or do they only apply to the front-end?
So... I can have the Admin Panel in Portuguese and the Front-end interface in other THREE languages as long as I use the WPML plugin to setup those 3 languages. Is this true?

We tried to import our old booking calendar to our new calendar and it appeared to work. The listings/names show up on the overview but when you click on the actual name the bookings come up mostly if not completely blank. I have a spreadsheet with all of the bookings on it to repopulate the calendar if necessary but I would prefer not to.
The other problem is that people are not able to book. If they go on to the calendar and select a date and an available time the following message is appearing:
Error! Probably these date(s) just was booking by other visitor. Please reload this page and make booking again.
The other issues I am trying to work out with the calendar are:
- Making sure there can't be a double booking (I think I clicked on the appropriate tab for this, but I am not sure).
- Making sure new bookings can't or aren't overriding an existing booking.
- Is there a way to change the colours of the calendar? Especially to show dates when we are booked up or closed?
- Can we have it so there is an automatic email sent to anyone who books a visit without us having it sent as a pending booking first? But still send us a copy of the booking for our records?

1) Sorry, I do not sure that clearly understand what exactly issue do you have with "blank fields" where exactly you have clicked to show blank field ?
Can you send screenshot to the support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
2) Please recheck that you have configured correctly times selection shortcode in your booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
If you still will have an issue, please send the link to the page with booking form.
3) By default when you submit new booking, its have to prevent from submitting the same or overlapping bookings.
Its possible only one situation, when 2 visitors in 2 different browsers try to book the same time in same date in same calendar. And its possible to prevent it when you have activated the option "Checking to prevent double booking, during submitting booking" at Booking > Settings General page in advanced section.
This feature does not work for booking resources with capacity higher than one.
4) Please check how to make customization of calendar colors here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/change-skin-and-colors/
5) You can activate sending email to the visitor after visitor created booking at the Booking > Settings > Emails page (email to visitor).
If you do not want to have pending bookings at all, so in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions possible to activate the automatic approving of new bookings at the Booking > Settings General page.

Hello, I have only purchased your plugin today so please forgive me if this is a stupid question!
I am unable to find any setting for showing the form beside the booking calendar on a page in my site. It only shows under the calendar. Is there a setting for this please?
Also, I am unable to select more than one resourse in the Resourse Selection widget. Pressing CTRL doesn't work and I am only able to select all resources or only one resourse.
I am using Booking Form Business Large and the latest version of WordPress

If you mean selections of booking resources at front-end side like in this example https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/ so its possible to select only 1 booking resource, then will show calendar for this booking resource together with booking form and you can submit the booking.

If you do not want to have pending bookings at all, so in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions possible to activate the automatic approving of new bookings at the Booking > Settings General page.

You have loading jQuery libraray second time at the footer of the page:
script src='//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.3/jquery.min.js'
because of that all previously defined JS variables become undefined. Please check more here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/loading-jquery-twice/
You need to remove or comment loading of jQuery second time at the footer.php or functions.php file in your actual theme.

Hello, I have only purchased your plugin today so please forgive me if this is a stupid question!
I am unable to find any setting for showing the form beside the booking calendar on a page in my site. It only shows under the calendar. Is there a setting for this please?
Also, I am unable to select more than one resourse in the Resourse Selection widget. Pressing CTRL doesn't work and I am only able to select all resources or only one resourse.
I am using Booking Form Business Large and the latest version of WordPress

2) I do not sure that clearly understand what do you mean by selecting several booking resources and where do you need todo this.
If you mean selections of booking resources at front-end side like in this example https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/ so its possible to select only 1 booking resource, then will show calendar for this booking resource together with booking form and you can submit the booking.
If you was mean something else, please explain a little more detail.
