Hi there,
I´ve got the small business version. And I´ve two questions about it:
1) the Import for my appoitnments from the google calender to the booking system is working. But how can I see the new appointments from by booking system in the google calender version?
2) sometimes, especially when I try to book at my mobilephone (Iphone and Samsung) it´s not working. I selected starttime and duration but always it means (translated from german) "The starttime is invalid, there is already a booking or the starttime is in the past". I tried it for several dates and times, always the same fault reporting.
So what can I do?
my homepage: http://www.cassie-makeupartist.de
Hello.
1) Booking calendar support only import of events from the Google Calendar (not 2 sides sync).
Info about it exist in any settings pages at plugin website and at help configuration page of plugin website: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-gc-events/
Even paid versions does NOT support export to Google Calendar. Sorry.
This feature exist in our TODO list for future updates.
2) Please be sure that you do not selected "Today" date, and time that you selected in the booking form was not already in the past, relative to your timezone from WordPress > Settings > General page.
Also if you set checked option "Checking to prevent double booking, during submitting booking" at the General Booking Settings page be sure (check) that this time-slot was not booking by some other visitor at the same time, when you open this page.
Also please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
Kind Regards.
Hello,
I have purchased the Business Medium Edition of Booking Calender.
I have different "Booking Form Fields" with different "Content of Booking Fields". In the Webpage with the Booking Calender I can see my individual "Booking Form Fields".
But in the E-Mails, sent by the system it always uses the "Standard Content of Booking Fields". How can I force the system to use a specific "Content of Booking Fields"?
Hello.
Please open the Booking > Resources page and assign for each specific booking resource as default specific "custom" booking form.
Kind regards.
I'm trying to make the calendar allow for bookings only every other Tuesday. So far I can only get it to book all Tuesdays. Is it possible for me to have it so every date is blocked except every other Tuesday?
Thanks in Advance.
Hello.
Such functionality available in the Business Medium and higher versions of plugin. In such versions possible to define only specific dates as available (or unavailable) for specific booking resources. You an check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#availability
Kind regards.
Is it possible to show past/previous months in the booking calendar. At the moment, I only appear to be able to show the current month and future months.
Thank you for this, I couldn't find this in the forum before. I have made this change, however the calendar doesn't show the old bookings. It does though show the dates. Have I missed something?
Hello.
Please recheck carefully that you was made all changes in those several files (not only JS but also in PHP).
Also, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
Kind Regards.
Hi there.
I have re-checked all the code and I have done the 4 changes you mention to the 2 files, and I do not have any caching plugin active on the site, and I still do not see the past bookings in the calendar. I can see them in the WordPress CMS but not on the website itself, so I know they are there. Could there be another setting in the plugin that I need to change?
Hello.
No,,that's all that you need todo.
Can you send link to your page with booking form, and customized files to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com ?
And also screenshots of bookings that exist in past days for that specific booking resource ?
Thank you.
Ok thank you, I have just sent you an email.
Hi, I'm using the version Personal Single Site 6.2.
I would to know if it is possible to define a custom order for the resources in the backend calendar view. At the moment the order is:
9.00 A
9.00 B
10.00 A
10.00 B
.. and I would to have:
9.00 A
10.00 A
9.00 B
10.00 B
Is it possible?
Thank you and best regards.
Hello.
In the admin panel the booking resources is listing alphabetically.
So you need to rename your booking resources in order to re-sort them.
Kind Regards.
We cant order by id ?
In my case i have numbers from 1 to 12, and order is 1, 10, 11, 12, 2, 3, 4 ............. etc
We can order by id ?
I have payd version
Hello.
Please try to rename your booking resources for having leading 0 before names from 1 to 9,
so its will look like this:
01, 02, 03... 09, 10, 11, 12
Kind Regards.
Thanks!
Solved.
Hi,
my hosting provider has reported me that my site is consuming a lot of RAM due to the FastCGI protocol.
Could you tell me if your plugin is using this protocol?
Our idea is to cut the protocol or limit it, but before I want to know if some plugin is based on it.
Thank you,
Giorgio
Hello.
I do not sure about this.
Booking Calendar does not use any special protocol.
Plugin just use the same protocol as WordPress system, because it's working within the WordPress environment.
Kind regards.
Thank you for the fast reply.
If you could confirm it, becasue we are going to stop the FastCGI script and we want to be sure that it isn't in use by WP Booking Calendar.
Thank you.
Hello.
Booking Calendar does not use any special own protocol.
So if the WordPress system (itself) will work, then Booking Calendar also have to work fine.
Of course here can be some restrictions if you set too low memory for PHP script execution, or small time for script execution, but its does not belong to the protocol.
Kind Regards.
hi,
I use a template for real estate called RealHomes where I am testing the implementation of your extension. Once I have set your calendar, it works fine on my own administor computer. When I try from another computer, some conflict makes it impossible to show both your calendar as well as the slider. What can I try and do please to fix the pb?
Hello.
Most probably that you are having some JavaScript error at that page. Please recheck your page for any JavaScript errors and try to fix them.
You can check for the most common issues at the FAQ https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ at the troubleshooting section.
You can also try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.
If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.
Please make testing, when you logged off from admin panel. It's seems that issue appear when you not logged in.
If you still will have this issue, please send the link to the page with booking form.
We are using Business Small SingleSite version 5.4.2.
We would like to print an easy daily agenda, where we see all the bookings for today. We are able to filter for only today's bookings (even thouh it's quite complicated to filter that way). We hit "print", see the Pop-Up Window, which shows the respective bookings but as soon as we hit the print button in that pop-up, we see only a white page in the print preview of the printer driver. We have tried this with various computers and various printer drivers (most recently: Canon MG2000 printer, Brother printer driver).
(sorry, hit "send" to early)
Is there anything that can be done to actually print this page and can I save a complex filter/sorting like this?
Thank you. Frank
Hello.
Also you can export exist bookings to the CSV file and then open this file in MS Excel, and make printing from MS Excel.
You can save your filter settings as default filter by clicking on "Save as default filter" button. You can find this button at the Filter toolbar after expand down Filter toolbar (by clicking on "down arrow" at the left bottom side of toolbar).
Kind regards.
Also you can try to make "printing into PDF" and then make print of usual PDF file. Just to check that printing is working.
Kind regards.
I've the Business Small developer edition 6.2 with 4.5.3. WordPress Version.
I'd like to block specific days of my calendar due to holidays and I don't know how to do it.
I want to black from the 18-25 of July but the only option I've seen is to block days from today until the day you want. And that doesn't solve the problem.
Best,
Marta
Hello.
1) You will be need to make a blank bookings for such type intervals.
In your version you can make "blank booking" in few mouse clicks at the Booking > Add booking page in admin panel.
Please open the Booking > Add booking page, then select date and specific time-slot, and then click on "Auto fill" button at the top right side of this page and submit the blank booking.
2) In the Booking Calendar Business Medium and higher versions possible to block specific dates, based on season filters. You can define any dates as season filters (conditional or range days at the Booking > Resources > Filters page) and then set such dates as unavailable for specific booking resources.
Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#availability
You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel. Kind Regards.
Thnak you so much for your fast reply.
I tried to do that before but it's not the best solution because it doesn't mark them as blocked with a different color.
I've tried to import my Google Calendar following the instructions that appear in that tab on the bottom but it doesn't work.
If I could import them, it'd be perfect because they'd be blocked completely and marked with a different color so clients know that these days are full.
How can I apply the Google Calendar and see the block days in my calendar?
Thanks.
Hello.
Relative import of bookings from the Google Calendar.
If you will have any issues with importing events from Google Calendar, please check these steps:
1) Please recheck carefully step by step this instruction: https:/:wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-gc-events/
Its latest instruction with screenshots of Google Calendar interface.
Just be sure that you have set your Google calendar public, also check in the popup dialog at "Booking Listing" page all parameters, like importing of "all dates" and not only "current dates", etc...
2) Please open Booking > Settings > Import> Google Calendar Events Import page
And recheck options: "Google API Key" and "Google Calendar ID" (in paid versions, each google calendar ID for each resources).
These options must not contain any white spaces (empty spaces) at the beginning and at the ending of options.
Usually during copy/past procedure, you can insert these white spaces, so you need to recheck that you DO NOT inserted any white spaces there.
Its most common issue.
Kind Regards.
Thank you so much for your fast reply! I've just block the days!
In my case, it remained the step 4 about Test Import Google Calendar.
Done! Thank you so much!
Now, I'd like to change the height of the calendar for aesthetic. How can I do it?
I'd also like to send automatically 2 emails to a new client, one before 24h of the booking and the other one 30' after the booking but I can't find the ways to add 2 emails to be sent automatically.
I'd also like to change the name that appears on the emails that clients recieve. In those emails, the person that appears to be sending the email is WordPress and I'd like that appear my business name. How could I do that?
2) Unfortunately, the email notifications - reminders, that are sending after or before specific amout of time are not supporting in actual versions.
Its will be available in some future updates. Currently Booking Calendar support sending emails just after specific action, like creation new booking.
3) Please configure in your email templates the fields "From" in a way like this: "Booking system" <email@you-server.com>
where "Booking system" will replace "WordPress" title.
Kind Regards.
Thnak you so much for your fast reply and for solving my doubts so fast.
1. Where do I need to change that px size? In which settings and place. That link doesn't specify the specific place in which I need to change it.
2. When are you going to offer?
3. Solved
Hello.
1) You need to set height of day cell in option parameter of Booking Calendar shortcode. For example for definition height of calendar day cell as 40px you need to use this shortcode: [booking type=1 form_type='standard' nummonths=1 options='{calendar months_num_in_row=3 width=100% cell_height=40px}']
where cell_height=40px definition of day cell heights.
2) Probably we will start working on this feature after next major update 7.0, which right now in development process and have to be available at end of summer.
Kind Regards.
Hello!
Marking a radio button as required does nothing in frontend - the form can be sent without any warning.
Code looks like this:
Endreinigung gewünscht: [radio* cleaning "ja" "nein"]
Any ideas what my cause this?
Best regards,
Jan
Hello.
Please use instead of that shortcode, shortcode for radio buttons with pre-selected option. So by default some option will be selected, and visitor can not unselect it. [radio cleaning default:ja "ja" "nein"]
Kind Regards.
Is there no other option to solve this? My client does not want any of the option to be pre-selected.
Best regards,
Jan
Hello.
You will be need to make a fix.
Please open this file ../{Booking Calendar Folder}/js/client.js
then find this code:
} else if ( element.type == 'radio' ) {
if (element.checked)
inp_value = element.value;
else
continue;
and replace it to this code:
} else if ( element.type == 'radio' ) {
if (element.checked)
inp_value = element.value;
else inp_value = '';
2) then find this code:
if ((element.type !='checkbox') && ( inp_value === '')) {
showErrorMessage( element , message_verif_requred);
return;
}
and replace it to this code:
if ((element.type !='checkbox') &&(element.type !='radio') && ( inp_value === '')) {
showErrorMessage( element , message_verif_requred);
return;
}
P.S. Please clear browser cache before testing.
Kind Regards.
Thanks a lot, this works perfectly!
All thumbs up!
