Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $20 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $30 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of multi site usage versions higher on $50 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Each specific version of Booking Calendar can be single site usage version, developer or multi site usage version.
Single site usage version, possible to install and activate only at 1 specific website.
Developer edition version, possible to install and activate at 2 different websites. Its can be test (developer) server and live website.
Multi site usage version, possible to install and activate maximum on 5 different websites.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.   1. Hi, my client purchased the medium size version. I have had an update notification for a few weeks for Version: 8.7.2. However every time I try to update it nothing happens. It just stays there or I get an error message saying "An error occurred while updating Booking Calendar: Update package not available."

    • Hello.
      Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

      Please check this troubleshooting instruction https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

      The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

  4. Hi there

    On this page https://bit.ly/2PYbnZh we have a calendar with a season filter and some custom weekday conditions. Within the same month, I seem to be able to combine any days I want. But as soon as I add a day from another month, the calendar doesn't work anymore. There is no start time and no price displaying anymore.

    Do you have any idea what might cause this?

      Please note, conditions of showing specific fields in the booking form, can depend from belonging ONLY check in day (first selected day) to specific season.

      Please note you need to use season filters In conditions that does not intersect with other season filters that you can use in the conditions.

      It’s seems that something wrong with your times selection or dates selection.
      Please send screenshot of your Booking > Settings General page and send configuration of your booking form from the Booking > Settings > Form page and Send the link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue.

    how to ensure that a booking does not go through on the front end without payment being made?
    - Currently a user can make a booking and not follow through with payment and the booking request will still go through to the booking list in the backend.

    • Hello.
      Booking is created before payment process in any case.

      You can activate auto cancellation of pending bookings that have no successfully paid status after specific amount of time. You can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in "Auto cancellation / approving" section.

      So if the booking is not approved, and do not have the successfully payed status, this booking can be auto canceled after specific amount of time.

      But you are need to be sure that all "good" bookings have to be approved or have the successfully payed status.
      Because if you are using the PayPal standard integration and your visitors is made the payment for the booking, but do not click on the "return link" on PayPal site to your site, so Booking Calendar do not know that the payment is successful, and this booking can be auto canceled with that feature.
      So sometimes its possible that the successfully payed bookings will not have this status and that's why can be auto-canceled, if you do not approve them.

      Ideally (for PayPal) you will be need to activate and correctly configure the PayPal IPN system, at the Booking > Settings > Payment page and in the PayPal account. So in this case the PayPal have to send the messages directly to your booking system.

  7. Hi, I am having trouble exporting bookings. This is the version we have: Version 8.7.2. Personal (developer edition)
    When i try to export bookings, i get this message: Wrong Path. Error during exporting CSV file!
    I have the Path "wpbc_csv" in uploads on the Server with permission 777

    • Hello.

      1) The exported file must be exported into the new directory

      ../wp-content/wpbc_csv/bookings_export.csv

      Please recheck that this directory is existing, otherwise please create it.

      /wp-content/wpbc_csv/

      and recheck if you see there exported file bookings_export.csv

      2) Please try to delete this ../wp-content/wpbc_csv/bookings_export.csv file in your server directory, and then try to create new export.

      Such issue possible because such directory was not created during activation of plugin or have wrong permission, or because of conflict with some other plugin.

        i try to do manuel and create the directory with permission 777.
        The PHP script (wpdev-get-exported-csv.php) don't create the dir
        i try also without any other Plugin. i have the same error on a other Server with Version 8.7.2. Personal (developer edition)

          You need to set the same permission to this folder, as permission in other folders that are located in the “uploads” folder.

              Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

                  correct is:

                  and in the file: personal.php on line 427
                  correct is:

                    Basically its not really correct.
                    You have fixed to have the export folder inside of the "uploads" folder in wp-content folder, like this:
                    /wp-content/uploads/wpbc_csv/bookings_export.csv

                    But Booking Calendar plugin have to export file into this folder:
                    /wp-content/wpbc_csv/bookings_export.csv

                    that's why previosly in your error log was this issue of not found file:

                    /wp-content/uploads/../wpbc_csv/bookings_export.csv

                    Probably you was not having created this folder:

                    /wp-content/wpbc_csv/

                    P.S. If you will use folder like this: /wp-content/uploads/wpbc_csv/ so then its less safe, relative to access this file by some other visitors.

  8. Hello,

    I've setup availability depending on certain periods, but then I realized it also applies to admin.
    Is there a way to make all days available but for admin only ?

    I think it would be a nice feature : allowing admin to bypass clients limitations – for detailed / special reservations.

    Any idea why the Cancel Booking button would not work in the "visitorbookingcancelurl" page ?
    Javascript writes this in console : "moveOptionalElementsToGarbage is not defined"
    Then, every time I click the button : "bookingCancelByVisitor is not defined"

      1) Be sure that you have deactivated all previous versions of Booking Calendar at the WordPress Plugins menu.
      2) Also check that you have correctly configure booking edit shortcode. Please check this FAQ instruction how to configure ability to edit or cancel own booking(s) of visitor, who made these booking(s): https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/configure-editing-cancel-payment-bookings-for-visitors/

      3) Otherwise probably, its because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
      Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
      If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
      We just need to find the reason of this issue.

  10. I have the -Business Large SingleSite- Booking Calendar and my issue is the only "filter" that works in Booking Listing view is the "Dates:" filter...

    "Bookings:" filter is stuck on "Any", "Order by:" filter is stuck on "Dates -with upward arrow-", "Bookings:" filter is stuck on "Exist"

      Probably, its because of conflict with some other plugin or actual theme.
      Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.
      If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.
      We just need to find the reason of this issue.

      • I have found the plugin that is coming in conflict the -Booking Calendar-, it is "Elated CPT plugin by Elated Themes" which is a plugin required by my Theme (Moose by Elated Themes).

        I don't know if you are able to find why there is a conflict, but at least now you know in case others encounter the same problem.

        I will continu using the Booking Calendar anyways, if I really need to use the filters, I can deactivate the plugin for a few minutes. It's a bit annoying but it's not that big of a deal. It would be great if the conflict could be fixed though.
