Hello,
Is it possible to export or duplicate this plugin and its data so I can just import it into a new site? A client is using this plugin and already has quite a few bookings etc. I'd like to just move it over to the new site.
Thanks so much for your help!
Hello.
Here is general info about migrate process for paid versions of Booking Calendar.
You need to transfer the Booking Calendar files from the ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder} of old website to new website.
According transfer of the Booking Calendar Data. Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool. Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.
You can make such migrate from one to other website only once. And of course you need to delete the Booking Calendar version at old website.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for the information.
I've imported the DB tables as well as the wp_bccf_reservation_calendars and _data...
But none of the booking data is on the wp dashboard side.
I'm not sure how to export only specific option_name fields from the wp_options table. There are atleast a 100+ option fields related to booking_
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated
Hello.
This is "wp_bccf_reservation_calendas" table is not from "Booking Calendar" plugin but from some other plugin.
In Booking Calendar plugin you need to mange only tables that starting from "wp_booking" term.
And yes, in the wp_options table exist many rows which is starting from booking_ term. All this rows relative to the settings of plugin, and you need to backup/restore them if you want to restore settings, or booking form fields, or other settings options in Booking Calendar.
You can do this manually or check mysql docs about how to export only specific rows as dumb file.
Thank you.
I see.
I am just having issues getting the plugin to pull the imported data... The options I think can be entered manually again. It's all the reservations that I need to import. 🙁
Hello.
Here is full list of tables in database, relative to Booking Calendar:
wp_booking
wp_bookingdates
wp_bookingtypes
and
wp_booking_coupons
wp_booking_seasons
wp_booking_types_meta
Some tables (in second list), can not exist in your version, if you are using Booking Calendar Business Small version or lower version.
Please recheck that you correctly imported these tables. Recheck these tables in your old website, and be sure that there exist bookings and these tables was not be corrupted.
Thank you.
Hi there,
My calender looks very weird because of the Jupiter Theme : http://www.duinhoeve.com/testpagina/
Do you have a solution for this? or a CSS code where i can put !important behind?
then add this code to the bottom of this file:
.widget.widget_bookingwidget.mk-in-viewport {
position:relative !important;;
}
.theme-page-wrapper #mk-sidebar.mk-builtin {
width:27%;
}
Please do not forget to clear browser cache before testing these changes.
Hello,
I'm having difficulty with your booking calendar. Help sections don't explain things clearly. I've been trying to insert additional costs and can't seem to get them to work properly. The text that I insert into the booking form appears on the web site.
Please help. I may have to cancel and ask for a refund. I'm very frustrated and spending too much time trying to figure all this out.
Thanks in Advance for your help,
Christine
Hello.
I was sent to your email description with screenshots how to configure it.
Please check spam folder, if you do not see it in inbox.
Here also description.
1) You can configure some checkbox at the booking form, which can be not visible and checked by default, like this:
<div style="display:none">Tax: [checkbox tax default:on ""] </div>
<p>Tax: [tax_hint] </p>
Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.
2) Then at the Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page we can set additional cost for this checkbox - our tax value.
Please note, here possible to set different value for additional cost, its can be fixed cost, or percent of booking, or additional % for cost of booking.
In case, if you select "percent of booking", so then for additional 10% of tax, you need to set value as 110%
But in case, if you will set " additional % for cost of booking", so then for additional 10% of tax, you need to set value as 10%
Its difference, in these 2 options.
3) In the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page we can use [cost_hint] for showing total booking cost.
In case, if you need to show value of our additional cost for our checkbox - tax value, so then you need to get name of this checkbox and then add "_hint" to this checkbox.
So its can look like this:
<p>Tax: [tax_hint] </p>
Tip & Trick. You can show cost hints separately for the each items, that have additional cost at Booking > Resources > Advanced cost page. For example, if you have configured additional cost for my_tax option at Advanced cost page, then in booking form you can use this shortcode [my_tax_hint] to show additional cost of this specific option. Add "_hint" term to name of shortcode for creation hint shortcode.
Kind Regards.
hello i have just installed you free version and think to pass on to the small business version
my version of WordPress: 4.7.8
my issue:
I want to have two months displayed in the front end for the user to be comfortable in case he needs to book days in between two months.
I can't do that!
I only can do in the admin panel in the add a booking page.
But i want it in the front end. Can you help
thanks in advance
giuseppe
Hello.
For showing 2 months in calendar in the front end side you need to define it in the Booking Calendar shortcode like this:
Support of multiple Currency'. I have the Medium Version, and wish to incorporate two types of Payment Options as follows:
Firstly, ZA (South African Currency), for EFT Payments, and secondly US$ for PayPal payments which does not support our ZA currency.
I understand that your application does not automatically calculate Exchange Rates between the two currencies, but how do I setup the Payment Module to accommodate this requirement. If for example, our accommodation for Peak Season is charged out at R4,500 per night in South African currency, but your application simply also sets the US$ amount to $4,500 instead of US$ 330 which is the equivalent amount of the ZA currency amount. (The current Exchange Rate is US$ 1.00 = ZA 13.75)
Hello.
As in previous description, Booking Calendar does not support “Firstly, ZA” Payment gateway and automatic currency exchange.
And inside of that new file with your payment gateway, you need to make calculation about cost exchange to differnt currency than USD. It’s have to be simple operation by dividing or multlybto your exchange rate. Please check more info about where you need to insert or show this cost value in description of your payment gateway integration guide.
Unfortunately we can not start, right now, some personal customization or custom development, because almost have no free time.
Thank you for understanding.
Kind Regards.
Hello. Pre-sales question please... This is some text from a client, can your plugin be used for a home-staging company? We want to have items in a warehouse, couches, tables, etc., categorized by color schemes, included as a part of a kit, say for a blue-themed home, to stage the home for real estate... So the warehouse users would check out items from the warehouse, and they would show reserved on a shared calendar. If an item is part of a kit the kit would be reserved on the calendar, as well as the items that are part of the kit. Then after the items are returned to the warehouse, they are checked in and released from the calendar dynamically. There also needs to be inquiry forms, the items showing on the front end of the website, able to be rented, booked and reserved on the calendar, with jobs stored under job numbers and client names, numbers, all of that type of functionality, multiple warehouse users, and all items booked and reserved showing as blocked out on one single shared calendar. Thank you!
From client: "Items in stock shown grayed out if not available for selected period of time due to scheduling conflict
Each item have thumbnail pick
Items could be selected by kit, style, color scheme . User( employee only) could add kits and individual items to order form and subtract (uncheck) individual items. If item is part of the kit but not available for whatever reason it should be shown in the lost but highlighted. Employee deselects item and have chance to replace if need be. Final list sent to customer as well as sent to database under customer/job information . Customer copy includes only description and thumbnail picture and is used to verify delivery and return of all deployed items."
Hello.
Such functionality as in your description does NOT exist in the Booking Calendar by default. Sorry.
Please check bellow items, what is possible with Booking Calendar plugin.
1) Please note, in Booking Calendar plugin, possible to submit the booking for specific booking resource (item, its can be table or item of warehouse) in the inline month view calendar with booking form. Check how its looking like in any demos.
2) You can show availability for several booking resources in "Timeline" view, as in this example: https://bl.wpbookingcalendar.com/timeline/
Please note, this view is only for read only purpose to check bookings in several booking resources. But the creation of new bookings possible only in inline month view calendars, as in previous description.
3) If you need to make the specific number of bookings per days, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where is possible to make several reservations per specific FULL date(s) by visitors (not time slots). Please read more about it here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#capacity
At this version possible to set capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in calendar will be available until number of reservations is less then capacity of the booking resource. But its possible to make booking only for FULL date, not a time slots (time slots in this version only saved as data into database, but do not apply to availability logic).
Highly recommend, to check this article about configuration of capacity and availability for booking resources: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/
4) In Booking Calendar MultiUser version possible that each registered WordPress user (your owner) have own individual independent booking admin panel, and can see and manage only own booking resources and some other settings (other owners will not see the bookings from this owner, they can see only own bookings). Please check more here (at bottom of the page) https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/
Also each owner (user) will receive the emails about the bookings of the own service(s) or property (booking resource(s)) and can approve or decline them. Please note, that the each owner WordPress user) will have different individual calendar(s) with booking forms in the separate pages. Please retest it in the live demo. You can read more about the initial configuration of the Booking Calendar MultiUser version: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/
You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
Kind Regards.
Thank you for your response, which was very helpful.
As suggested in your guide, the problem should be found in the general wordpress settings where language selection was corrupt.
Nice service from You - even though the problem was outside your software - Thank you!
You are welcome.
Kind Regards.
hello. recently i find out that my menu dropdown are not working. it happen only when browsing using iphone.
i have deactivate all plugins i have, and find out that "booking calendar" plugin is the cause.
May i know if you have new update for this?
Regards.
Hello.
Probably at the page exist some JavaScript error because of conflict or because of some other issue.
1) You can recheck (when you open this page via computer) for any JavaScript errors (usually for see what JavaScript error you have you need to press Ctrl + Shift + J for showing browser console) and try to fix them.
2) Additionally you can open the Booking > Settings General page and in Advanced section after clicking on the "Show advanced settings of JavaScript loading" link you can activate this option "Load JS and CSS files only on specific pages"
and then enter relative URLs of pages with booking forms.
So in this case, Booking Calendar plugin will load own JavaScript files only on these pages with booking forms.
Kind Regards.
thanks for the reply. im not tech savvy. but i can learn. i have done the ctrl+shift+J and open up console. so how can i fix it now?
i tried the second option, the error on js gone. but the calendar not loading at all.
ok all fixed now.
using the second option at first i tried "/booking"
the calendar wont show up.
this time i tried "/booking/"
then it shows up.
thanks
Hello.
Glad to know that issue have been resolved.
Kind Regards.
Hello.
Please open the Booking > Settings General page and recheck in availability section that you do not set option for showing such days as unavailable after 1 month.
If you can not scroll to future months, so then please set instead of 1 month to 2 years value in “Number of months” option at the calendar section at this Booking > Settings General page.
My single site 8.1 business medium booking calendar refuses to accept captcha code when its typed in correctly. The error code “the code you entered is incorrect” displays. My site has been working correctly and this just started happening today thereby
Hello.
If you are using Cache plugin (like "WP Super Cache" ), please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form to do not cache this page.
Otherwise, please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu. Then retest it again.
If its not help, please deactivate your active theme and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again. May be there exist some conflict with some active plugin or actual theme and just need to find the reason of that issue.
If you are still will have this issue, please recheck the error.log in your server configurations to be sure in a reason of that issue.
