  1. Hi,

    I accidentally deleted a resource (going from freemium to pro).. Already had bookings in that resource, which now are gone. Is it possible to retrieve a resource that has been deleted?

    Reason, with pro three new resources were added that I was not interested in. And my already existing resource wasn't in any way described which one it was. So, I though all could be deleted. Pretty disappointing that this wasn't explained in a better way.

      All such data saved to the database.
      You need to restore your database from the backup, if you have such backups. Please recheck with support of your hosting if you have the backups of your database and then restore it.

    Hope this email finds you well.

    Im doing a project, where i will need some specific functions from the booking plugin and i would like to as some questions about some integrations:
    - Can I integrate the macOS calendar, so every apointment is automatically imorted there?
    - Can I make it so that a customer can book an appointment for free, but when someone else chooses the same appointment and pays the set price for that appointment he is enrolled instead?
    I will add that I need this plugin for a lawyer firm.

      Please note, the import process is working in that case, when a visitor opens your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically accessing this page with booking import shortcodes to start the import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly the system will start the import process and only then show the booking form, when someone visits your page.

      Booking Calendar is generated .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some services (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into their own system, does not depend on the Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force the import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed for making imports.

      2.1) You can use in the Booking Calendar Business Large or higher version the coupon code discounts with 100% discounts to have free bookings for your customers.

      2.2) Or you can create 2 different booking resources and insert the booking forms for them into the different pages, one booking resource will have the cost == 0 and other booking resource with specific cost.

      And for have ability to show dates in both these calendars as booked, if the booking exist in one calendar, then use aggregate parameter in the shortcode.

      If you want to show as unavailable some dates or times in all calendars (booking resources), if some booking was made in only one calendar (booking resources), then it's possible to configure it with "aggregate" parameter in the Booking Calendar shortcode ( it's possible in all paid versions of Booking Calendar). This parameter makes the dates in the calendar unavailable if these dates were booked in some other booking resources.

      I will explain it in example of booking separate rooms:

      Example of configuration:

      Booking resources at the Booking > Resources page:

      - Room #1 ( ID = 3 )
      - Room #2 ( ID = 4 )
      - Room #3 ( ID = 5 )

      And you need to insert the Booking Calendar shortcodes into the pages like this

      - Room #1 ( ID = 3 )
      [booking type=3 aggregate='4;5' ]

      - Room #2 ( ID = 4 )
      [booking type=4 aggregate='3;5' ]

      - Room #3 ( ID = 5 )
      [booking type=5 aggregate='4;5' ]
      ....

      If some rooms will be booked for a specific date(s) or times, this date/time will be unavailable in other rooms, as well.

  3. Hello,
    Suddenly, ANARETA.CZ, one week ago - Import from booking.com stopped working. (we have calendar and booking manager, importing shortcodes runned by cron, everything worked well lot of months).

    And now, even setup is OK (exporting from booking via ics, for example in google calendar is it written), EVENTS are not visible in our wordpress 🙁

    Please, have you some info, that this is happening ?

      Also Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

    First of all, congratulations on the reliability and user-friendliness of your tool. It has truly been a lifesaver for me. I purchased the plugin yesterday and I would like to inquire about how I can include the location of appointments in the form (by default) so that when it appears in the confirmation email, the Google Calendar also includes the location.

    Additionally, I would like to ask how I can display the Google Calendar button instead of the link.

    • Hello.
      1) You can have only some text info about the locations. Booking Calendar does not support MAPs for showing locations.
      2) For example if the different booking resources (calendars) has the different locations, you can create the several custom booking forms at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page and in each of such forms define the different text or other HTML data relative to the locations, of specific booking resource.

      So in case if you need to have several different booking forms with different form fields configurations, then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

          1) Sorry the locations currently does not support in the Booking Calendar, as I was explained in my previous comment. Such additional location field We will add to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

          2) I just want to ask where you want to change the LINK to button, I do not sure, what exactly do you mean by this.

          Please note, inside of the emails, such chnanges does not possible todo in actual versions.

              Unfortunately, in the emails it's does not possible to change the links to the buttons. Because there is no styles in the actual mail templates there for the buttons.

              I will add it to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

  5. Can we set up the plugin so that it does not allow actually booking dates, just showing which are available? So, that customers won't be able to actually book/reserve space or pay a deposit.

    I have purchased the Business Medium Plugin, but when I make a reservation for some dates of a room with its respective form (for example a double room), it comes out that it is already full having only made one reservation (and for example we still have 4 rooms available). How could I increase the number of rooms? Would it be possible with the plan I have purchased?

      If you need to make a specific number of bookings per day, then you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Large version, where it is possible to make several reservations per specific full date(s) or times during selected date(s).       In this version it is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, so date(s) in the calendar will be available until the number of reservations is less than capacity of the booking resource.

    I have two more questions..
    1. I applied javascript to set up a minimum selection of 30 days for a specific resource but this resource still appears in the search result of queries of less than 30 days and even worst, users can enter the booking with the days preselected and skip the javascript 30 days minimum filter. How can I fix this?

    2. How can I offer a page where users can edit their bookings and view old bookings directly (without email secret link)?

    Can someone please confirm this is doable?

    We have a summer day camp that runs July 1-Aug 23, M-F, weekends excluded. We are trying to setup the "Days selection in calendar" criteria under the General >> Calendar settings. I cannot seem to get the calendar to select multiple 5 day weeks in the above date range.

    For example:
    Registrant wants to book on the following weeks.
    Jul 1-5
    Jul 22-26
    Aug 5-9

    How is this achievable if at all?

      If you need to make all such dates selection: Jul 1-5, Jul 22-26, Aug 5-9
      during one booking process, then
      it's possible to select such dates only if you activate the "Multiple dates" selection mode at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Calendar" section and select such dates manually one by one in calendar.

  9. When confirmation of booking is shown there is a block/section thats starts with:
    "Your booking id: ##
    Personal information"
    First question: where can I translate these strings of text?
    Second question: in all demo's I see that logo's of for example IDEAL etc are shown. In our case there is a dropdown to choose a gateway. Can you tell how I can let it looks like as shown in the demo's?

    Since the latest update (9.9.1), every booking has a comment. I can't figure out what is wrong or how to fix it. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

    The comment is on every booking: [2024-02-15 11:04] Automatically calculated cost 0

      This is new feature, for automatically save the data about the booking, like a cost. It is useful, in case if you change the booking cost or change the booking details, and you will be have the history about all changes.
      I will add to the TODO list option to disable this option, in case if you do not want to save such info.
